Transcripts

You were created to birth what Christ called you to carry.

Only your hands can hold what heaven has for you.

Today on Christmas, we remember when the Word became flesh,

when light entered the darkness and a womb became the birthplace of salvation.

This episode is a reflection on God,

who knew us before we were born,

who met us in the darkness with his light and entrusted us with sacred things to carry and bring forth.

Welcome back to Born to be a Butterfly,

where we embrace healing and growth in Christ so that we could step into true transformation.

My name is Nina Pajonas and today I want to share something deeply personal with you.

This episode came from a dream,

but it was more than a dream.

It was a reminder,

a reminder of who God is,

a reminder of who we are,

and a reminder of what happens when we forget what we were created to birth.

It happened a few days ago.

I woke up from a very unusual dream.

In the dream, I was in my mother's womb.

From the inside, I could see where my world ended and where the rest of the world began.

It was such a surreal feeling,

but I knew exactly where I was.

I knew that I was in the womb.

I was fully aware of God's presence all around me and I had such a profound feeling of peace.

In the darkness that surrounded me, I saw little glimmers of light.

Intuitively,

I knew it was him.

Then I heard the Lord say,

you knew me in the womb.

You looked for me and you knew me immediately.

Psalm:

for you created my inmost being.

You knit me together in my mother's womb.

The womb is not just biological,

it is holy ground.

It is where God overshadows us.

It is where life and calling are first held.

We knew him before we knew the world.

Here's what we often miss.

We were not only created in the womb,

we were conceived in the mind of God prior to it.

The concept of you existed long before your physical body did.

Your gifts,

your passions,

your calling,

the thing you feel compelled to build but might not have told anyone about that idea that started as a seed in your soul but has begun to sprout or has sprouted so much over the years that you no longer have enough room in your soul to hold it.

There's just not enough room.

That dream has gotten too big.

That wasn't random.

That desire was placed there by the Lord through the power of the Holy Spirit.

Heaven gave you a deep desire to build what began in the spiritual so that it blossoms in the natural.

We were created to co create with Christ we only need to look to Ephesians 2:10 NIV where Scripture tells us for we are God's handiwork,

created in Christ Jesus to do good works which God prepared in advance for us to do.

Handiwork means that his hands were on us.

First in the womb and now through our lives.

We are meant to be his hands and feet in this world,

birthing what he designed us to carry.

And here's the truth.

Not everything we are called to birth is a child.

Some of us will birth ministries,

books,

businesses,

movements,

messages,

safe places,

healing spaces.

But when we got outside the walls of the womb and went into the world,

something happened.

We didn't know what he designed us to do.

The world starts convincing you of an identity that isn't of him and therefore isn't truly of you.

I know this personally because it happened to me.

We begin to chase people,

places and things,

achievement and approval.

We confuse the importance of the creation with the importance of the Creator.

We idolize what was meant to be enjoyed instead of worshiping the One who made it.

God said it to me so clearly.

He said,

I gave you those things to to enjoy.

But I am your joy.

I am your peace.

When we come back to Him, God begins to strip away our false identity.

Because it is not the one he had for us.

It is not the One he created within us. When he knit us together in our mother's womb,

he preordained us.

He predestined us.

He chose us.

He set us apart to do work in his name and to walk in his name.

And in order to reveal who we were chosen to be,

who we were meant to be,

who we were created to be,

those layers have to come off.

That is when we are born again in Christ.

We have to be reborn.

Because once we're outside the womb,

the world starts polluting our souls,

our minds and our spirits.

Flesh begins governing us instead of God.

We stop looking for the Lord in everything.

We start walking in our own strength and wisdom.

And I say that knowing full well how little wisdom we really have.

We are nowhere near as wise as Christ,

nowhere near as strong,

nowhere near as patient,

merciful,

kind or loving.

We are encased in flesh and will always be in contention with it while we live here.

It is a never ending battle on this side of heaven.

But greater is he that is in me than he that is in this world.

Greater is he that is in you than he that is in this world.

We must remember that when we come back to Christ and He reveals who we truly are.

Our true identities.

That's when we realize that our beauty is found in him and in what he has called us to do.

That is where purpose lives.

That's when we realize we're not just a person.

We are a child of God.

We have a divine purpose that was preordained by the King of Kings and by the Lord of Lords.

He has a plan for our lives.

Nothing about our existence is random.

Not one feature on our face,

not one spiritual gift that we have.

Nothing is wasted. Everything is used for the good and the glory of God, even the bad things.

Heaven has a hand in taking what was meant to break you and turning it into something beautiful.

There are no coincidences in the Kingdom of God.

There is only intentionality.

You were put here for a reason,

and you were created in love because he loves you.

But we must understand that rebirth in Christ is not instantaneous.

It is continuous.

It is transformational.

It is the process of becoming more like the one who overcame the world.

As we continue to become who Christ called us to be,

we also become equipped for the next assignment that he has for us,

the next set of spiritual gifts that he's going to give us.

There isn't just one assignment.

There are many.

The butterfly is a perfect analogy. It begins as an egg.

Then it turns into a caterpillar,

crawling through the world,

consuming everything in it.

Then it enters the chrysalis,

where it completely breaks down what it once was and reorganizes into something new.

And the new identity has wings.

It flies.

Its life looks nothing like the life of the caterpillar that is us in Christ.

As we are reborn,

we are also called to give birth to new things,

things that are of God.

Not every one of his daughters will give birth to a child.

I don't have children,

but the women I have cared for have felt like my children.

That nurturing instinct was not wasted.

God just used it differently.

There is nothing ordinary about our Lord.

He does the extraordinary.

We cannot put ourselves in a spiritual box of what our calling is supposed to look like.

What you give birth to,

only your hands can hold what you are called to.

Christ will help you carry.

And like mary in Luke 1:38,

we are invited to say,

I am the Lord's servant.

Mary answered,

may your word to me be fulfilled.

Our spiritual gifts support our calling.

Mary did not compete with Elizabeth, and Elizabeth did not diminish herself because Mary's assignment looked bigger.

Their stories complemented one another.

Scripture tells us in Luke 1:45,

Blessed is she who has believed that the Lord would fulfill his promises to her.

This is a call to sisterhood because we are called to celebrate what God is birthing through one another.

Here is the invitation Today.

Walk in the gifts God gave you.

When you walk in, faith fulfillment follows.

You were created for this time,

and Scripture reminds us in Luke 1:37 for no word from God will ever fail.

This is an intimate journey.

It's a personal one.

You can only understand it by spending time in the secret place and prioritizing your relationship with the Lord.

As you grow closer to him,

your light shines brighter and you will bear his image better.

When you realize who you truly are in Christ,

there is a soul deep satisfaction in knowing you are his.

When you truly love the Lord,

there is nothing you won't do for Him.

And you will soon see that there is nothing he won't do for you and nothing that he can't do through you.

I'm going to end this episode the way I began it.

You were created to birth what Christ called you to carry.

Only your hands can hold what heaven has for you.

Let's pray.

Lord,

remind us who we were before the world told us who to be.

Help us remember you the way we did in the womb.

Teach us to honor one another's callings,

and please give us the courage and conviction to birth what you have placed inside of us.

In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus,

we pray.

Amen.

May the light that entered the world in Bethlehem find you in every place that is felt dark.

May the Word made flesh speak gently to the parts of you that are still becoming.

May you remember the God who knew you before you were born,

who surrounded you in the womb,

and who never once has left your side.

May what he placed within you be protected,

nurtured, and brought forth in his perfect timing.

May this holy night remind you that nothing entrusted to God is ever wasted and nothing formed by his hands is forgotten.

Merry Christmas,

my sister.

I love you.

May the Lord's light guide you always.
