During the season of Advent, we anticipate the arrival of Jesus, and the celebration of his birth. In the genealogy of Jesus found in Matthew 1, several woman are listed, and in their stories we are shown how God has brought beauty out of the ugliness and used their stories to bring salvation to the world. We are confronted with the rawness of the incarnation, and amazed at how God views us.
