More and more, we're hearing of women being diagnosed with ADHD after they transition into the new role of mama. It's not surprising that women go undiagnosed most of their lives when research shows that girls are less likely to be diagnosed with ADHD compared to boys (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 2023). In today's episode, I chat with Clinical Social Work and Mental Health Therapist Gretchen Nelson about running a business as a mom with ADHD. Gretchen shares so many great insights into how ADHD can present in moms, strategies for navigating ADHD, and so much more. I also share about my journey as a mom with ADHD.
In this episode, you will learn:
- Signs that you're a mom with ADHD
- My experience as a mom with ADHD
- Challenges you can face as a mom with ADHD
- Strategies for navigating ADHD as a mompreneur
- How ADHD can be your superpower
