Shownotes
Nashville reporter Sophia Petrovich is leaving journalism after six years, but not because of scandal, burnout, or a better job offer. She says her heart has fallen in love with the Bible, and her deeper desire now is to study Scripture, share Jesus, and minister to others.
What makes her decision so striking is that she is not escaping something bad. She is walking away from work she still loves because she senses God leading her somewhere else. That kind of step requires faith, prayer, and careful discernment, especially when everything in your current life seems to be working. Would we recognize God’s voice if He called us away from something good?
Scripture (NIV): Proverbs 3:5–6 – “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him.”
Reflection Questions:
Could comfort or success make it harder for you to recognize when God is leading you in a new direction?
How can you tell the difference between an impulsive decision and a step of faithful obedience?
