Last time I crabbed about a pizza we bought 15 years ago. Now I've got to try to make a paint point out of that. I'm Dan Hansen and this is a minute at RepcoLite Paints sponsored by Benjamin Moore.

So, to recap: the pizza in question looked great when we got it--tons of toppings, lots of cheese. BUT instead of a tomato sauce, they covered it with a vile brown gravy or something. That sauce destroyed that pizza.

And that brings me to the paint point. Think of the brush and roller cover you buy for your paint project as being kind of like the sauce on a pizza. The applicator is probably the item that most determines how good or bad your paint looks on a surface--just like that horrible sauce was the ingredient that most determined the overall taste of the pizza.

Don't buy quality paint and then, to save a few dollars, compromise the overall look by buying cheap brushes or rollers. It's not worth it. Remind yourself: those are the items that are putting your paint on the surface . . . make sure they're the best your budget will allow. I'm Dan Hansen and that's a Minute at RepcoLite.
