Welcome to 12-Minute Converse with Jesus Believers.
Speaker:God chose first to have a conversation with us, His creation.
Speaker:Our prayer is that this listening space brings growth and transforms your life forever.
Speaker:Praise God for you, Kathleen.
Speaker:It's such a great pleasure to connect with you.
Speaker:What part of the world are you in today?
Speaker:I'm in Nashville, Tennessee, and it is a pleasure and an honor to be speaking with you today.
Speaker:Thank you.
Speaker:I feel the same way as well.
Speaker:Please take me through how you were healed by Jesus.
Speaker:Well, it was absolutely a faith healing.
Speaker:It was based on meditating on His promises until those things were deep, deep, deep within me.
Speaker:I had to get my brain around the idea that the law of the spirit of life sets us free from the law of sin and death.
Speaker:And you know, God's promises are true, but we often decide that we're going to agree with something else.
Speaker:And so for me, it was a season of pressing in, like the woman with the issue of blood who said, I will touch His cloak and I will be healed.
Speaker:It is deciding to believe I'm going to be healed.
Speaker:And when you keep doing that and keep doing that and keep doing that, and you don't come off of that, healing is absolutely assured.
Speaker:Not because Kathleen says so, but because all things are possible for one who believes.
Speaker:When I listen to you and the level at which you vibrate, right?
Speaker:The energy, the Holy Spirit that you're working with, right?
Speaker:I wonder what is it like being amongst other people that aren't using the words you're using or being intentional with the way you speak?
Speaker:How does it feel when you're around someone that's the complete opposite or seeing the complete opposite of what you're seeing?
Speaker:God has taken me through such a struggle and such a transformative journey that instead of, I try to look at other people, hopefully the way that Jesus would look at them as somebody who is lost, who maybe is withering off the vine.
Speaker:They need connection.
Speaker:All of us, if we are connected to the spirit of the living God, we will be filled to the measure with all the fullness of God.
Speaker:We will know it.
Speaker:It'll be just like Jesus said to the woman at the well, whoever drinks this water will be thirsty again.
Speaker:Whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst.
Speaker:The water I give them will become in them a spring of water, welling up to eternal life.
Speaker:It's not so much as comparing to somebody else where they are, but hoping to connect with them and let them see, hey, that living water thing, that's real.
Speaker:That's for you.
Speaker:He wants you to be walking around overflowing with the spirit of the living God, strong in the Lord and the power of his might.
Speaker:Those are the things that he's willing to give to each one of us.
Speaker:He wants to express himself in us and through us.
Speaker:We don't get it and we block it.
Speaker:We block the spirit, grieve the spirit, quench the spirit.
Speaker:When we're not doing that, we're going to feel like this.
Speaker:We're going to feel the joy of the Lord.
Speaker:It's because the Lord told us, I told you these things so that my joy might be in you and your joy might be complete.
Speaker:What things?
Speaker:Go back a few verses.
Speaker:Abide in me and I in you.
Speaker:When I'm connected to God, I will be that.
Speaker:You're seeing the strengths in people, even though there are weaknesses that are present.
Speaker:How has that been beneficial for those that are connecting with you?
Speaker:I think one of the things that's happened recently is people are more open.
Speaker:They want to know, what is it?
Speaker:How do you feel peace?
Speaker:How do you feel that?
Speaker:I want that.
Speaker:I want that.
Speaker:What is that?
Speaker:When they're open to that, you're able to remind them that they are loved, that they're made in the image and likeness of God.
Speaker:He wants them to live in freedom.
Speaker:God is not trying to ruin our lives.
Speaker:He's trying to set us free.
Speaker:There's a seed in each one of us.
Speaker:I think whenever we look at another person, we should see in them the potential that God has placed inside that person.
Speaker:We're not wrestling against flesh and blood.
Speaker:We're not wrestling against flesh and blood.
Speaker:That person that's being mean to you, that's persecuting you, they are under the influence of a spiritual power that wants them to take them captive to do his will instead of the Lord's will.
Speaker:We keep that in mind, and it helps us.
Speaker:It gives us perspective.
Speaker:How do you keep yourself grounded, Kathleen?
Speaker:Grounded?
Speaker:Meditation every day, reminders every day.
Speaker:I have to remind myself constantly, because it just takes a few seconds.
Speaker:It takes a few seconds to go from the vertical connection to out here with the world.
Speaker:It just takes a few seconds.
Speaker:It is constantly coming back.
Speaker:Thank you, Father.
Speaker:I'm one with you in spirit.
Speaker:I'm a branch on the vine.
Speaker:You're with me.
Speaker:You're in me.
Speaker:You're true.
Speaker:When did you first meet Jesus?
Speaker:When I was 10 years old.
Speaker:I was baptized, came up out of the water.
Speaker:It was wonderful.
Speaker:I grew up in an incredible Christian family.
Speaker:I was very blessed that way, but it wasn't until much later in my life that I had the deeper connection with God.
Speaker:Take me through being a Christian and having a family and what goes with navigating that, please.
Speaker:Well, it's absolutely being equally yoked, right?
Speaker:When the word tells us do not be unequally yoked, there's something so powerful in that.
Speaker:It's not that it's impossible for couples to stay together, but it is really a challenge.
Speaker:But the Lord, when we are able to pray, when both people, the husband and the wife, are coming to God and they're forming a triangle, God is going to change each one of them.
Speaker:I don't have to worry about changing my husband because God's doing that.
Speaker:I can love him for who he is and believe that he's always becoming a better person.
Speaker:I don't have to change him or force him.
Speaker:I know that when we pray together, we're going to stay together.
Speaker:Statistically speaking, that's absolutely true because a covenant relationship is absolutely beautiful.
Speaker:It's not the way the world says it is.
Speaker:There is a beautiful covenant relationship that is available to us if both people are connected to the living God.
Speaker:Have you had the opportunity to write any books?
Speaker:I have indeed.
Speaker:I've written a few books and the most recent one is called Heal to Heal.
Speaker:It's about divine healing, the generals of healing from the past and present, and helping people realize healing is for today.
Speaker:We have an unchanging God.
Speaker:Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.
Speaker:Don't you dare give up on your healing.
Speaker:But I have some other books as well, one about forgiveness, one about praying in tongues, and those kind of things.
Speaker:When you're building keynotes for speaking engagements, what's that process like?
Speaker:Honestly, I pray in tongues, which I believe in very strongly as something that can help us connect with the spirit.
Speaker:I will ask questions.
Speaker:I will just pray like that and I'll have something just sort of pop into my mind.
Speaker:I used to be really bad about getting stuck in my analytical mind.
Speaker:I'm going to write this right now.
Speaker:I'm going to figure it out.
Speaker:I would get stuck there.
Speaker:And so when I get like that now, I put my laptop, I just shut it like wrong energy.
Speaker:I'm going to go out.
Speaker:I'm going to be spending time in nature.
Speaker:And then something will come.
Speaker:It will come and he'll pull the whole thing together for you.
Speaker:God will do that for us if we're willing to let him do it.
Speaker:If you could think of one that comes to mind where you're speaking on a stage that was most impactful, what immediately comes to mind in your memory?
Speaker:Quoting the word has been powerful.
Speaker:If I'm quoting Psalms 91 and the people in the audience, they're mouthing it along.
Speaker:They're eating it up.
Speaker:Why?
Speaker:Because it's the thing that stands eternal in the heavens.
Speaker:I might come with some speech, but if I'm coming with the word of God, I'm going to be able to come with power and with the spirit that gives life.
Speaker:What would you say or who would you say?
Speaker:So it could be an experience in the Bible, a story in the Bible, but who would you say is the closest character to the life that you've been living?
Speaker:Well, I love the story of King David for so many reasons, because he waited for so long.
Speaker:There was things that God was building in him.
Speaker:And I just love the way that he encouraged himself in the Lord, in the way that he learned to see God as his shepherd and as his provision.
Speaker:And I think that there is a relational mirroring that happens with God.
Speaker:You know, it's just like the word says, those who honor me, I will honor, but those who despise me will be disdained or come near to the Lord and he will come near to you.
Speaker:Or, you know, when we realize that if I am seeking God with all of my heart, I'm going to find out he is right there.
Speaker:He is ready.
Speaker:And David understood that.
Speaker:David understood that he saw God as his shepherd.
Speaker:He saw God as his deliverer.
Speaker:And the more that he did that, the more intimate his relationship with the Lord said.
Speaker:He said, one thing I ask of the Lord, this only that I seek, that I may gaze in the beauty of the Lord and seek him in his temple.
Speaker:He wanted the Lord first.
Speaker:And because of that, God enriched his life in every other possible way.
Speaker:Even though he struggled, he knew to turn right back to God and repent.
Speaker:And that makes his life so powerful.
Speaker:If you're listening to this five years from today, what's a message you'd leave for future you?
Speaker:Thank you for not giving up on the vision and thank you for being willing to know that this thing is a journey hand in hand.
Speaker:It's not a destination.
Speaker:It's a journey and every day counts.
Speaker:And I can't wait to meet the future you and give you a big hug because you have been part of this.
Speaker:We're all part of it together.
Speaker:Is there any question that I could have asked that would have helped you see us better?
Speaker:The one big question is like, how do you keep it all together?
Speaker:And that is being a branch on the vine.
Speaker:We're not separate from God.
Speaker:We're a branch on the vine.
Speaker:And when I know that, how can I be afraid?
Speaker:How can I be worried?
Speaker:I'm connected in spirit with the spirit of the living God who made the heavens and the earth.
Speaker:I can be in perfect peace when my mind has stayed on that.
Speaker:For the person who is listening, who wants to take that step to know Jesus, what would you say to them?
Speaker:Stop right now and decide.
Speaker:Decide you can know him.
Speaker:He said it in his word.
Speaker:Ask yourself, what is telling me I can't have a deep intimate relationship?
Speaker:And then you just crush that thing, watch it burn and turn your face to heaven and say, here I am Lord, show me the next thing.
Speaker:And don't give up until you are walking around, feeling the power and the presence of the most high God.
Speaker:And you'll know it.
Speaker:And you'll never, ever walk away.
Speaker:Taste and see that the Lord's good.
Speaker:I think Johnson pleasure.
Speaker:I treasure amazing audience.
