Okay. Let's take a moment. Remove yourself from any situation that might be causing you any level of distress or unhappiness.

Take yourself to the bathroom, to the bedroom, or out for a really quick walk around the block, somewhere where you can just

be by yourself for a moment or 2, and there we can breathe.

-:

Find a moment of time in which you can, just for a moment, observe your thoughts.

-:

Take a minute to try and feel nearer into your emotions and gain an understanding of your behaviour or actions, and all of it is okay. All of it is okay.

-:

Christmas Day itself is just one day.

-:

I know parts of the day feel like such a lot, but tomorrow will be boxing day. This day will be done.

Today, do what you need to get through.

-:

I'm really hoping that you can do it sober.

-:

I hope you've bought yourself some lovely alcohol free drinks to enjoy.

If you're hosting people, I hope that you can glimpse the little moments of joy, and I hope that if you are being hosted at

-:

somebody else's house, you can also take the time to look around you and appreciate the other people who are there with you.

You'll go to bed tonight so happy and grateful to lay your head on your sober pillow.

Tomorrow, to wake up on Boxing Day hangover free is such a gift.

Today, if you need to take time out several times for that little walk around the block, the hide upstairs, the dash to the

loo to sit on the edge of the bath for a moment and breathe, that's okay. Whatever gets you through.
