Shownotes

The podcast delves into the intricacies of modern societal dynamics, examining the profound impact of technology on interpersonal relationships. A critical analysis is presented regarding how digital communication has reshaped our interactions, leading to both enhanced connectivity and increased isolation. Throughout the discourse, we unpack the paradox of feeling simultaneously more connected yet more distant from others, a phenomenon exacerbated by the advent of social media platforms. We explore the psychological implications of these changes, drawing upon contemporary research to illustrate the cognitive dissonance experienced by individuals as they navigate their online personas versus their authentic selves. Furthermore, we reflect on the need for a recalibration of our emotional intelligence in this digital age, urging listeners to cultivate a more mindful approach to their engagement with technology. In the latter part of the discussion, we pivot towards potential solutions and proactive strategies that individuals can employ to mitigate the adverse effects of technology on personal relationships. Emphasis is placed on the importance of fostering real-world connections, advocating for intentionality in our digital interactions. We propose a series of actionable steps, such as setting boundaries for technology use, prioritizing face-to-face communication, and engaging in activities that bolster community ties. Through these recommendations, we aspire to empower listeners to reclaim the depth and authenticity of their relationships in an increasingly virtual world, ultimately advocating for a harmonious balance between digital engagement and genuine human connection.

Transcripts

Speaker A:

We just ran through the 12 rising suns.

Speaker A:

If you want to go back run forest.

Speaker A:

Yeah, you can.

Speaker A:

You have to be actually really observant to pick this stuff up.

Speaker A:

You just can't be sitting in a restaurant and just start picking people out unless you really get good.

Speaker B:

But you gotta learn to read energy.

Speaker A:

Yeah, exactly.

Speaker A:

So it's.

Speaker A:

It's also in it.

Speaker A:

Reading energy, their energy.

Speaker A:

The personality stuff that D was talking about, along with the facial and body stuff that Claudia was talking about to actually pick it up.

Speaker A:

One thing we did not say or.

Speaker A:

Or I would like to add is planets in the first house.

Speaker A:

Alter your opinion.

Speaker C:

Color.

Speaker C:

They color you.

Speaker A:

Great word, Great word.

Speaker C:

Gives you more.

Speaker C:

More depth to this description of your appearance.

Speaker A:

Yes.

Speaker A:

So what does that mean?

Speaker A:

If you take Aquarius rising, throw Mars and Jupiter in the first house.

Speaker A:

That is going to tweak some of the stuff that we said for Aquarius Rising.

Speaker B:

Absolutely.

Speaker A:

Anything you have, D.

Speaker C:

Well, I hope everyone was paying attention to what rulers, what planets rule the sign on their rising.

Speaker A:

Why?

Speaker C:

Because where that planet is also tells a little bit more that.

Speaker C:

And also that planet is in charge of your whole chart.

Speaker A:

Your chart ruler.

Speaker C:

Yeah, that's your chart ruler.

Speaker C:

So it's going to play a really important role.

Speaker B:

The hour maker.

Speaker C:

Mm.

Speaker C:

I want to add this a little bit of metaphysical.

Speaker C:

If you're.

Speaker C:

I don't know if you're into that.

Speaker A:

I was just going to add one part to your point.

Speaker C:

Okay.

Speaker A:

So if you guys really want to find out what's going on with your rising sun, you will find your chart ruler.

Speaker A:

So Pisces, it'd be Jupiter.

Speaker A:

I mean, Mercury for Virgo, and find the house it's in and look at the aspects and things that's going on with that.

Speaker C:

Yeah, the aspects to that planet as well as to your ascendant.

Speaker A:

But I know all this to you novices could sound like a whole bunch of mumbo jumbo.

Speaker A:

That is why D, Claudia and I have a business to help explain that for you, Brian.

Speaker C:

We'll leave all the technological mumbo jumbo out of it and just give it to you straight and forward.

Speaker A:

What else you wanted to add, Dee?

Speaker C:

I just wanted to add on like a more metaphysical side, if you believe in like reincarnation and like afterlife and stuff like that, it.

Speaker C:

Some people believe that the planet on your rising sign that rules your rising sign, that that's where your spirit was before incarnating into this world.

Speaker B:

Interesting though.

Speaker C:

Like, Claudia and I are Aries rising people.

Speaker C:

So supposedly our spirits were on Mars.

Speaker C:

We're Martians, really?

Speaker C:

And Paul was on Mercury before.

Speaker C:

Oh, my God, that's amazing.

Speaker B:

And I like that.

Speaker A:

And actually, to add to that, to go with yours.

Speaker A:

Your rising sign is what your soul.

Speaker A:

The route that your soul is taking

Speaker C:

in this life, in this life, for

Speaker A:

your son to evolve and stuff.

Speaker C:

Right.

Speaker B:

For the ego to evolve.

Speaker A:

It's what your soul most want to express.

Speaker C:

Claudia and I had to go to Mars to get ready to jump off from Mars to live a very, like, Mars led life here on Earth and a hard life, jumped off from Mercury to, like, get a little bit of basic training before leading his Mercury led life here on Earth too, as the messenger.

Speaker B:

So wait, so we're here to, like, express.

Speaker B:

Well, Paul is here to express.

Speaker B:

We're here to, like, fight.

Speaker B:

Fight for something.

Speaker B:

Right.

Speaker B:

And I feel passionate and, like, driven by, like, life ambition.

Speaker C:

Yeah, well, I guess ambition would be more Capricorn, but, yeah, more drive.

Speaker A:

I have a question for both of y' all before we end this up.

Speaker A:

A lot of people really talk about their sun sign.

Speaker A:

Would you say it's more important for people to get more.

Speaker A:

Get in touch with their rising than their son?

Speaker B:

Absolutely, absolutely.

Speaker B:

Because the.

Speaker B:

The place trumps the sign.

Speaker B:

So whatever house your sun sign is in, that actually has a lot more

Speaker C:

to do than your.

Speaker B:

The actual sign itself.

Speaker B:

And you can only tell that if you have an accurate time and if you know your rising sign.

Speaker A:

All right.

Speaker C:

Both are important, I guess.

Speaker C:

To jump off of your question, I'm going to answer that.

Speaker C:

In an earlier era, the Ascendant or the rising sign was thought to be more important or more prominent than the sun sign.

Speaker C:

And it wasn't until the 20th century that we started to no longer hold that view anymore.

Speaker B:

So.

Speaker C:

So I think both are really prominent.

Speaker C:

And maybe you see the rising sign first.

Speaker C:

It's kind of the mask we show the world.

Speaker C:

But then once you get to know that person more, you'll get to know their sun sign more.

Speaker C:

And, you know, those two things really stick out.

Speaker A:

I would like to add, I have found that people rising signs show more of the traditional traits.

Speaker A:

List of the sign than the actual sun sign.

Speaker A:

So as a Virgo son, I show some Virgo stuff that would be on a.

Speaker A:

You know, the.

Speaker C:

On the Virgo rising.

Speaker A:

Yeah, well, Virgo risings would show more Virgo traits.

Speaker A:

You know, the laundry list of Virgo or.

Speaker C:

Okay, so like, the nervous habits.

Speaker A:

Yeah, the rising sun shows that more than the sun.

Speaker C:

Yeah, I think the rising sign shows more of, like, who you are upon your first impression, upon first meeting people, that's the first impression that they get of you.

Speaker C:

And your sun sign is more your ego.

Speaker A:

I mean, like, if.

Speaker A:

If people look up Aries, any of the signs, and they're gonna have cookbook meanings, Aries is this.

Speaker A:

That will apply more to the rising sun than the sun.

Speaker A:

Personally, that's what I find, but teach his own.
