Transcripts

Alison Dubois:

Welcome to the Dead Life.

Alison Dubois:

Here's world renowned medium Alison Dubois.

Alison Dubois:

Today on the Dead Life, we're talking about some of the energy we're experiencing right now.

Alison Dubois:

We have a rather important Pluto shift that people are talking about, so we'll cover that.

Alison Dubois:

The reason I wanted to do this segment is because many people don't understand what the hell the astrologers are talking about online on social media.

Alison Dubois:

I wanted to break it down so I do something called street astrology where I sort of break it down for the everyday man so you know how it will affect you in real life and time.

Alison Dubois:

We have a month long sun in Scorpio about to exit on Thursday, freeing Taurus from their month long opposition and moody transformative Scorpio.

Alison Dubois:

I'm sure the Tauruses out there will be happy to hear that now that they understand why things haven't been working out for them or why they've been getting sick.

Alison Dubois:

The sun will move into sunny Sagittarius for four weeks as Geminis face their opposition challenges.

Alison Dubois:

There's a lot to talk about, so buckle your celestial seatbelts.

Alison Dubois:

-:

Alison Dubois:

For December's podcast episodes, I want to hear all about your spiritual encounters during the holidays of Christmas past.

Alison Dubois:

To book a reading with me, email us@bookinglisondubois.com we're booking in person readings here in Scottsdale for the holidays.

Alison Dubois:

Readings also make a nice gift for someone who wants to talk to someone they miss for Christmas.

Alison Dubois:

You can follow me on Instagram at media Malicent or you can Watch me on YouTube to see new and past episodes of the Dead Life.

Alison Dubois:

Sophia, welcome in.

Sophia Dubois:

Thank you.

Sophia Dubois:

Glad to be here.

Alison Dubois:

Thank you for agreeing to be my sounding board today.

Alison Dubois:

And I think that you're the perfect person to be here, especially since you do represent the younger generation who are trying to understand astrology.

Alison Dubois:

And when we see these posts, some of the astrologers make it easy to understand the spiritual weatherman or astrological weatherman.

Alison Dubois:

He's funny.

Alison Dubois:

But there's a lot of them where you just look at it and you're like, okay, what does that mean exactly?

Sophia Dubois:

Where they don't really break it down in normal people terms.

Alison Dubois:

Right?

Sophia Dubois:

Yeah.

Alison Dubois:

So November 19th.

Alison Dubois:

After 16 years, Pluto, the planet of rebirth and transformation, is finally leaving Capricorn and people want to know, what does that mean in layman's terms?

Alison Dubois:

Capricorn rules government, establishment, government, kind of the old guard.

Alison Dubois:

It's father energy.

Alison Dubois:

It's the way things have always been done.

Alison Dubois:

in to them what happened from:

Alison Dubois:

And that's how I knew who was going to win the presidency is because Pluto was moving into Aquarius for the next 19, 20 years, roughly.

Alison Dubois:

People vary on where they see that being.

Alison Dubois:

And so with it going into Aquarius, it's a rebellion of the people.

Alison Dubois:

Aquarius is also things that are unusual, are unique, and it also tends to make people isolationists.

Alison Dubois:

So this was going to affect all countries, including our own, which we're seeing right now.

Alison Dubois:

So the border issues are what we're seeing as far as the closing ranks and enforcing our borders and boundaries, which is very Aquarius.

Alison Dubois:

Who doesn't like people in our space?

Alison Dubois:

And so you can see that taking form in nations right now that are saying, wait, who's here?

Alison Dubois:

Who do we want here?

Alison Dubois:

So with it going into Aquarius on November 19, so the day this airs, it will have moved into it.

Alison Dubois:

We're going to see a whole new ballgame for 19 to 20 years moving forward.

Alison Dubois:

And I'm glad it's leaving Capricorn.

Alison Dubois:

Capricorn was a pill.

Alison Dubois:

It was hard.

Alison Dubois:

It was difficult to feel sort of helpless and as though we had no power.

Alison Dubois:

So now with it in Aquarius, the people feel like they have the power, which is a nice thing.

Alison Dubois:

So you're going to see a lot of, like I said, isolationism.

Alison Dubois:

And I kind of look at Aquarius as a smiling assassin.

Alison Dubois:

She can be very social.

Alison Dubois:

She doesn't like to be, but she can be.

Alison Dubois:

But she also doesn't have any issue with cutting someone off and just distancing herself and not looking back.

Alison Dubois:

So we're going to be, I feel.

Sophia Dubois:

Like everyone has been feeling that lately of, yeah, looking at who they surround themselves with, seeing what they want to do with that, if they want to go a different way, if they want to keep it, if they want to speak up.

Sophia Dubois:

So.

Alison Dubois:

's really what the eight year:

Alison Dubois:

So people have been in an emotional blender for the last year.

Alison Dubois:

It's been a lot.

Alison Dubois:

,:

Alison Dubois:

et your intentions going into:

Alison Dubois:

And if you have a vision for something that you wanted to start, a business, a side hustle or writing a book, anything along those lines, or even like transforming your life where you're eating better and exercising and doing that sort of thing, you want to really start something.

Alison Dubois:

year, the year of endings in:

Alison Dubois:

So we want to make sure that we use it for what it's here to serve us best.

Alison Dubois:

y vision that I manifested in:

Alison Dubois:

f you manifest your vision in:

Alison Dubois:

So I find it important.

Alison Dubois:

So we only have a little time left.

Alison Dubois:

So for those of you that are dragging your feet, stop dragging your feet and make it happen.

Alison Dubois:

Okay?

Alison Dubois:

The sun in Scorpio is exiting the fixed water sign after four weeks and it's moving into Sagittarius on Thursday the 21st.

Alison Dubois:

So the sun in Scorpio for me is always a hard one because I have a moon in Taurus and so I take an emotional hit.

Alison Dubois:

If you have a moon and a sign and there's an opposition that represents your emotion and relationships with family and friends and also romantic partners.

Alison Dubois:

But if you were a sun in Taurus, it's a physical opposition.

Alison Dubois:

So you either get sick or you're prevented from doing what you're trying to accomplish.

Alison Dubois:

And it just gets frustrating.

Sophia Dubois:

When is that?

Alison Dubois:

Well, that's what we're moving out of right now.

Alison Dubois:

Taurus is leaving theirs on Thursday and Gemini is moving into their four week opposition and sun in Sagittarius.

Alison Dubois:

Okay, so you do well in a sun and SAG because it's 11th hour luck.

Alison Dubois:

It's the life of the party.

Alison Dubois:

It's why we see all the holiday parties in Sagittarius and Thanksgiving and all that fun stuff.

Alison Dubois:

So you're going to see Geminis go dark in their four week opposition.

Alison Dubois:

And I know this because not only did I marry a Gemini, I gave birth to your sister Aurora.

Alison Dubois:

And every year I watch them get moody and go through this darkness that they enter where they're just not as happy, go lucky as they usually are.

Alison Dubois:

So if any of you out There have a Gemini in your life, just understand there's a reason for it.

Alison Dubois:

So we enter that this Thursday, the 21st of November.

Alison Dubois:

So SAG is going to be a good time.

Alison Dubois:

Enjoy it.

Alison Dubois:

It can bring up hip injuries.

Alison Dubois:

I find back injuries.

Alison Dubois:

Tom doesn't agree with the back injuries, but my sense is it affects the back as well as the hips.

Alison Dubois:

And so how long is that for?

Sophia Dubois:

Is that going into like Thanksgiving sun and sag?

Alison Dubois:

That's going to go to like December 21st, 22nd right there.

Alison Dubois:

So it's for a whole month.

Alison Dubois:

You're going to see that happening and playing out.

Alison Dubois:

I do like the SAG energy coming in though, because people really got things done in Sagittarius.

Alison Dubois:

Poor Geminis just take their hit.

Alison Dubois:

We all take our lumps every year for a month.

Alison Dubois:

And yours is after that.

Alison Dubois:

When the sun goes into Capricorn and all you sweet little moon child aspected cancers start to feel.

Alison Dubois:

Well, you get sick every year in your opposition.

Sophia Dubois:

Well, that's the worst because it's New Year's Eve.

Alison Dubois:

You always get sick for New Year's.

Sophia Dubois:

And then the beginning of every year, we're always sick or something happens and it's.

Sophia Dubois:

See, this is a hot take of mine.

Sophia Dubois:

I personally, as a cancer, do not like New Year's Eve because it always goes wrong and they always look to me for plans or you know what I mean?

Sophia Dubois:

So if anyone else agrees with me that New Year's Eve is actually kind of overrated.

Sophia Dubois:

You're not alone.

Alison Dubois:

Yeah, that's, that's not a bad take on it.

Alison Dubois:

I don't think people throw parties the way they used to.

Alison Dubois:

It used to be more fun.

Sophia Dubois:

Did.

Sophia Dubois:

d see for like Even the early:

Alison Dubois:

Yeah.

Sophia Dubois:

But anytime I've ever been anywhere for New Year's Eve, it's not like that.

Alison Dubois:

It's cheap champagne and people in, in sloppy, unattractive dresses.

Alison Dubois:

It's like, okay, this doesn't look like When Harry Met Sally.

Alison Dubois:

That looked delic.

Sophia Dubois:

Exactly.

Alison Dubois:

Yeah.

Alison Dubois:

So I, dad and I always stay home for New Year's Eve and just watch When Harry Met Sally and drink some really delicious champagne instead of being somewhere else, trying to make it fun.

Alison Dubois:

So I get it.

Alison Dubois:

And of course with New Year's Eve being in Capricorn, that would be the holiday that is kind of like, you know, where everybody's like exhausted from the year and you got to regroup.

Sophia Dubois:

Although we're eating the grapes under the table, right?

Alison Dubois:

Oh, yeah, that was weird.

Alison Dubois:

And then we've got Christmas.

Alison Dubois:

Obviously that falls into Capricorn, which is you spending tons of money on other people and maybe having it reciprocated and maybe not, but either way, Capricorn's about money.

Alison Dubois:

And so people start feeling pressed in their finances around that time.

Alison Dubois:

And I think you're not seeing the lavish parties the way dad and I used to have them back in the day, because financially times haven't been as good as they were back at that time.

Alison Dubois:

In:

Alison Dubois:

And now we've just seen many years of people taking a tumble and it's been difficult.

Alison Dubois:

opeful that moving forward in:

Alison Dubois:

So we also have Mercury going retrograde on November 25th, and this will continue throughout the month of December.

Alison Dubois:

So a lot of people ask, what is Mercury retrograde?

Alison Dubois:

They don't really get what that means and why people freak out.

Alison Dubois:

Well, the reason we freak out is because it affects all electronics.

Alison Dubois:

So anything of communication, anything your phone, your.

Alison Dubois:

Your laptop, anything electronic, which for most people now is everything in their life and that.

Alison Dubois:

So people are more affected now than normally you would have been back in the day.

Sophia Dubois:

Yeah.

Alison Dubois:

Like Maybe in the 80s, not so much.

Alison Dubois:

Yeah, you have to.

Alison Dubois:

I call it like foot and mouth disease.

Alison Dubois:

Mercury retrograde because you'll mean to say one thing and you'll say something just completely wrong and offend someone and not mean to.

Alison Dubois:

So think before you actually open your mouth.

Alison Dubois:

That's going to help you in the Mercury retrograde.

Alison Dubois:

I also wanted to talk on more of an everyday people level for Mercury retrograde on how this helps, knowing what's coming ahead of time.

Alison Dubois:

The reason it helps to understand Mercury retrograde is because with it going retrograde November 25, everybody's Christmas shopping and many people are online Christmas shopping.

Alison Dubois:

So what I say to all of you is, if you're ordering gifts or you're shipping gifts for Christmas or Hanukkah, make sure you get your orders out early.

Sophia Dubois:

Smart.

Alison Dubois:

Because you're going to see a lot of glitches with packages being delivered to the wrong house or delays, delays getting to the end of your order and hitting the button and having it not go through after you spent all that time.

Alison Dubois:

So it's annoying.

Alison Dubois:

Little things like that.

Alison Dubois:

Hopefully not too terrible.

Alison Dubois:

We don't want any kids crying at Christmas, so everybody shop early there another Thing Mercury retrograde is going to affect, and that's why this episode is so very important, is travel, especially with Sagittarius being a traveler.

Alison Dubois:

That's when you see us hitting peak times of the year for holiday travel and people wanting to go home.

Alison Dubois:

And you're gonna see flights being canceled, you're going to see weather issues.

Alison Dubois:

You're gonna see with the glitches that are taking place.

Alison Dubois:

Once we had tried to print out our boarding pass in a Mercury retrograde and all of the printers in the little stands like the kiosk, the kiosks, it just went down and we, our flight got delayed like two or three hours.

Alison Dubois:

Something along those line was not pretty.

Alison Dubois:

So for you all that are listening, print out a boarding pass early because the phone app that you have that they scan may not work.

Sophia Dubois:

Your phone might die.

Alison Dubois:

Yeah, you want to have that backup.

Alison Dubois:

So.

Alison Dubois:

And there's already a lot of snow reports right now already starting to come in of how it can affect travel.

Alison Dubois:

So people are going to be getting it from all angles on this.

Alison Dubois:

So I want people to have some sort of a backup plan for Thanksgiving should they not make it on the plane to go home because things, because of things being canceled, flights being canceled.

Alison Dubois:

I find that all just so important.

Alison Dubois:

So there's gonna be a lot of hiccups.

Alison Dubois:

Plan ahead to avoid unpleasant traveling experiences.

Alison Dubois:

And then December 15, while Mercury's still retrograde, we've got a full moon in Gemini.

Alison Dubois:

So we're gonna have a full moon in Gemini.

Alison Dubois:

Mercury retrograde.

Alison Dubois:

We're gonna be a sun and sag.

Alison Dubois:

That's a let's have fun and party pants aspect where people just wanna have a good time and you're raining them.

Alison Dubois:

Yeah, no, it's totally fine.

Sophia Dubois:

It's good for holidays.

Alison Dubois:

But the full moon in Gemini is not good for that Sagittarius.

Alison Dubois:

So that'll be two and a half days.

Alison Dubois:

December 15th plus two in that.

Alison Dubois:

Two and a half days after that, we're going to have that full moon in Gemini where people get stuck in their head and they can't sleep and they have weird dreams and all of that.

Alison Dubois:

Sagittarius is not going to have fun in that aspect.

Alison Dubois:

If I was planning a holiday party, it would probably not be that weekend.

Alison Dubois:

Gemini will bring out the crazies.

Alison Dubois:

There's a duality to Gemini and it makes people nuts.

Sophia Dubois:

Wait, this is December, what?

Alison Dubois:

15Th?

Alison Dubois:

And so the full moon in Gemini is gonna, gonna make it interesting.

Sophia Dubois:

The day before Ashley's birthday.

Alison Dubois:

Fantastic.

Sophia Dubois:

I'll tell her.

Alison Dubois:

Make sure she takes Ashley's, Sophia's roommate, so tell her to take her vitamin C religiously around that time.

Alison Dubois:

So if any of you are Sagittarius and you're going to be trying to travel at that time or do something fun or you just need to work and don't want to get sick, you need to double up on the vitamin C around that time and buffer yourself.

Alison Dubois:

And this is what I love about talking about oppositions and why it's important.

Alison Dubois:

There are certain aspects of oppositions that you can buffer yourself or you can buffer someone you love.

Alison Dubois:

Because I always buffer you in your opposition.

Alison Dubois:

I'm like, come to me.

Alison Dubois:

I know where your head's going to be and what your moods are.

Alison Dubois:

And I make it better.

Alison Dubois:

Or I can buffer it before it happens to you.

Alison Dubois:

You're so lucky.

Alison Dubois:

I do.

Sophia Dubois:

Yeah.

Alison Dubois:

I try.

Sophia Dubois:

Dad tries to buffer you, too.

Alison Dubois:

Does he?

Sophia Dubois:

Yeah.

Sophia Dubois:

But you're an Aquarius.

Sophia Dubois:

You're, like, so hard to buffer.

Alison Dubois:

Am I?

Sophia Dubois:

Yes.

Alison Dubois:

Okay, maybe I am.

Alison Dubois:

I don't know.

Alison Dubois:

Yeah, I'm a fixed air sign.

Alison Dubois:

I mean, we're just our own thing.

Alison Dubois:

What are you gonna do?

Alison Dubois:

So with that full moon in Gemini, I'm just saying, for those sags that are having a good time, watch out also for injuries, because a lot of them will probably be on the ski slopes and there's going to be hip injuries and I believe back injuries as well.

Alison Dubois:

So we don't want any of that.

Alison Dubois:

We want to buff for them.

Alison Dubois:

We want them to continue having a good time in their merriment.

Sophia Dubois:

Yes.

Alison Dubois:

So we have quite a bit coming up, and I just hope that the year is well spent and has been well spent by people.

Alison Dubois:

Thank God that the election is over.

Sophia Dubois:

Thank God.

Alison Dubois:

And we can all move on and move forward in these aspects, even though it feels like this whole year has been getting to know ourselves real well.

Sophia Dubois:

I agree.

Alison Dubois:

You know, see, because I always think.

Sophia Dubois:

Just because everyone thinks about themselves more than the grand scheme of things, I'm like, oh, it's because I'm 25.

Sophia Dubois:

And it's because I'm going.

Sophia Dubois:

I'm at that age.

Sophia Dubois:

When you think about, where am I going to be, where do I want to live, what job do I want?

Sophia Dubois:

But then it's on top of that, it's also the year.

Sophia Dubois:

Yeah, it's so transformative.

Alison Dubois:

Hugely transformative.

Alison Dubois:

And every eight year will be transformative like that.

Alison Dubois:

But with this being an election year, I think it was most especially transformative, especially with Pluto going into Aquarius in that eight year.

Alison Dubois:

I find it A very powerful year, which is why I really want people to manifest the vision that they have, believe in themselves, take a risk, stop sitting on the sidelines.

Alison Dubois:

If somebody's got to succeed, why not you let it be you?

Alison Dubois:

This is the year to do that.

Alison Dubois:

A lot of people get into the I'll do it next year phase of life, or just that's their energy, because they lack action.

Alison Dubois:

And it'll never move for them because they're going to push it off until the day they die and then come back for another lifetime, I guess, because they didn't do it in this one.

Alison Dubois:

We're here for a reason.

Alison Dubois:

Take a chance.

Alison Dubois:

And with the holidays, for God's sakes, everybody, put your disagreements aside.

Alison Dubois:

It's the holidays.

Alison Dubois:

Next year, there will be people that won't be here, that will have passed.

Alison Dubois:

Don't sacrifice that in the name of virtue signaling or, you know, hurt feelings.

Alison Dubois:

Just go have fun.

Alison Dubois:

See your loved ones.

Alison Dubois:

If there are elderly people in your family and there's something incredible you've always wanted to give them for the holidays, this is the year to do that.

Alison Dubois:

With:

Alison Dubois:

last nine year was, which was:

Alison Dubois:

So there's going to be quite a bit coming up.

Alison Dubois:

A nine year is not something to be afraid of, though.

Alison Dubois:

It can end addictions, which would be great.

Alison Dubois:

It ends relationships that no longer serve you, which is excellent.

Alison Dubois:

And I'm actually reading a lot of people right now with marriages coming to an end, so I'm really seeing it on the front lines in the readings.

Alison Dubois:

So for those of you who are barely hanging on to an aspect of your life or your job doesn't feel secure, this is the time to ask yourself, is this what I want to do?

Alison Dubois:

And do I want to do it at that company or with that partner?

Alison Dubois:

o in a different direction in:

Alison Dubois:

t likely going to fall off in:

Alison Dubois:

So I'm telling people this so that they do have a plan, so they don't feel caught off guard, so they don't feel helpless moving forward through this energy, because it is going to do it swiftly, it will just end things that no longer serve you.

Alison Dubois:

I kind of like that energy because I'm a rip the band aid off kind of girl.

Sophia Dubois:

I know you are.

Alison Dubois:

And so for me, I.

Alison Dubois:

If there's something that doesn't serve me in my life, I want that to be removed from my space so that I don't waste my energy on people who don't appreciate it or reciprocate.

Alison Dubois:

So it's interesting watching you and Aurora go through your ebbs and flows this year because you are up close and personal examples for me of exactly what's been going on in this eight year.

Alison Dubois:

A lot.

Alison Dubois:

Yeah, I know, a lot.

Sophia Dubois:

ke it's not anytime soon with:

Alison Dubois:

No endings.

Alison Dubois:

It can be good.

Sophia Dubois:

No endings can be good.

Alison Dubois:

It can be good.

Alison Dubois:

And I don't, you know, want it to be so scary for people.

Alison Dubois:

I know some people get all doomy gloomy about it, but I kind of think it's good when things.

Alison Dubois:

Because if something ends, it doesn't serve you.

Alison Dubois:

Then something new is entering the picture.

Alison Dubois:

If you lose friends, new friends enter the picture.

Alison Dubois:

I see them as new shiny toys.

Sophia Dubois:

Yeah.

Alison Dubois:

I'm like, oh, the universe took someone out of my life.

Alison Dubois:

I'm going to get somebody incredible.

Alison Dubois:

And without fail, I'll be sent somebody that I totally vibe with.

Sophia Dubois:

Yeah.

Alison Dubois:

And sometimes we outgrow people.

Alison Dubois:

We're in different phases of life and.

Alison Dubois:

And that's okay.

Alison Dubois:

And that's what I say to you because I'm obviously further down the road and I remember being your age, soon as you have a baby and get married, all of your party girlfriends, they're gone, you know, so it's just life changes and players in your life exit and new ones enter.

Alison Dubois:

And that's so if people can learn to move with the shifts and not resent it, they'll do very well.

Alison Dubois:

The key to Moving forward in:

Alison Dubois:

If you can adapt to new situations and life experiences, you will be wildly successful.

Sophia Dubois:

Yeah.

Alison Dubois:

You will do great in life.

Alison Dubois:

It's the people that fight it and refuse to adapt that don't succeed.

Sophia Dubois:

Well, even I know you mentioned friends, but so many people I know are being laid off right now.

Sophia Dubois:

And I'm sure it's not just people around me.

Sophia Dubois:

I'm sure it's all around the US or I don't know what's going on in other countries.

Alison Dubois:

If it's the US it's the world.

Alison Dubois:

Because we affect the entire world.

Sophia Dubois:

Yeah.

Sophia Dubois:

And So, I mean, I would just see that as a good opportunity to do what you want to do at this point.

Sophia Dubois:

Because you're getting, hopefully, severance pay.

Alison Dubois:

Yeah, well, hopefully.

Sophia Dubois:

Hopefully.

Sophia Dubois:

Fingers crossed for you guys, but.

Sophia Dubois:

And then you can actually take that time to just breathe and think about what you want.

Alison Dubois:

That's actually good advice.

Alison Dubois:

Don't panic.

Alison Dubois:

If someone hands you a pink slip, take it as, okay, I got two to three days.

Alison Dubois:

I'm just going to really go within myself and decide where do I need to be, what do I want to do?

Alison Dubois:

Did I take a job that I hate to pay the bills?

Alison Dubois:

Instead of becoming what as a child I had always dreamt of being.

Alison Dubois:

It's never too late to go back and to gain a skill or an education that you might need to fulfill that dream.

Alison Dubois:

Even pick up a microphone and start singing if you have a great voice.

Alison Dubois:

You know, don't be like, I'm 40, I can't do it.

Sophia Dubois:

You know, that's when social media is a beautiful thing.

Sophia Dubois:

You can just post, you know, you're singing.

Alison Dubois:

Yeah, that's true.

Alison Dubois:

So I really hope that people get excited for this year.

Alison Dubois:

I'm excited about the holidays.

Alison Dubois:

I'm probably going to do what Tom told me not to do this year and overspend on Christmas because I want to make sure that all of the people in my life feel really special now.

Alison Dubois:

I will make things, too, because I'm trying to find that balance.

Alison Dubois:

Yeah, but there are some things with, you know, we've got Nana and we've got certain people in our life that we don't know how many more Christmases we have with them.

Alison Dubois:

And so I wanna make sure that it's what she wants it to be.

Alison Dubois:

Not that it's an expensive gift, but that it's thoughtful.

Sophia Dubois:

I think she'd like that a lot.

Sophia Dubois:

Yeah.

Alison Dubois:

Yeah.

Alison Dubois:

Something she'd want.

Alison Dubois:

She's a Virgo, though.

Alison Dubois:

She's a tough one.

Alison Dubois:

They're practical beasts, I'm telling you.

Sophia Dubois:

We could do practical.

Sophia Dubois:

Practical is great.

Alison Dubois:

So for her.

Alison Dubois:

And then people that are special to me, I just want to get them little things to let them know they matter to me.

Alison Dubois:

And that's what we all need to be doing.

Alison Dubois:

And if you don't have money, make something for them.

Alison Dubois:

Most of us have some sort of a little talent that we can weave into something memorable for those that we care about.

Alison Dubois:

This is, we're alive, we're here.

Alison Dubois:

Celebrate, you know, celebrate all of the holidays.

Alison Dubois:

It's the people that get to the end of their life that Then say, oh, I forgot to live, you know, and you die.

Sophia Dubois:

Like, oh, I regret that.

Sophia Dubois:

I wish I had just gone on a trip.

Alison Dubois:

Or, you know, instead of coming.

Alison Dubois:

Coming back because you royally took this life for granted.

Alison Dubois:

Instead of feeling sorry for yourself and saying, oh, nobody handed anything to me.

Alison Dubois:

Yeah, I get that.

Alison Dubois:

I didn't grow up with money, you know, I made everything that I have with a skill that I was born with, fortunately, and I'm very lucky.

Alison Dubois:

But I worked really, really hard.

Alison Dubois:

And if you work hard and you believe in yourself, I feel like a Christmas movie.

Alison Dubois:

Anything?

Sophia Dubois:

All those Hallmark movies we've been watching.

Alison Dubois:

Anything.

Alison Dubois:

Yeah, you gotta go watch Hot Frosty on Netflix.

Alison Dubois:

I mean, meow.

Alison Dubois:

He was adorable.

Alison Dubois:

Oh, my God.

Sophia Dubois:

It's the guy that was the vet from Schitt's Creek.

Alison Dubois:

Okay.

Alison Dubois:

But he was super cute, so.

Sophia Dubois:

Well, he was super fit.

Alison Dubois:

That's for sure.

Alison Dubois:

That's true.

Alison Dubois:

And then Lacy Chabert.

Sophia Dubois:

Love her.

Alison Dubois:

I do, too.

Alison Dubois:

We loved her in Mean Girls.

Alison Dubois:

Did we love her?

Sophia Dubois:

Gretchen.

Alison Dubois:

Her dad.

Sophia Dubois:

Gretchen Wieners.

Alison Dubois:

Toaster strudel.

Sophia Dubois:

Yeah.

Alison Dubois:

Yeah.

Alison Dubois:

So funny.

Alison Dubois:

So there's so much to enjoy this year.

Alison Dubois:

And remember when we were in Covid and I just was like, I'm gonna rent out a little movie.

Alison Dubois:

The.

Alison Dubois:

And we're going to watch the Grinch.

Sophia Dubois:

Yeah.

Alison Dubois:

And dad and I went, and it was just the two of us, and we watched the Grinch and we had the best day.

Alison Dubois:

And then we went out to Tempe Town Lake and we rode on one of those little, like, swan boats, the swan boats that they have out there.

Alison Dubois:

And we made the most of it.

Alison Dubois:

And that was in a pandemic.

Alison Dubois:

So find it within yourself to live right now.

Alison Dubois:

There's a lot of people that don't have that option.

Alison Dubois:

They're no longer here.

Alison Dubois:

Or they have dire circumstances around the world that limit them from that.

Alison Dubois:

You're one of the lucky ones because you're listening to this podcast, so that means you have at least a phone or a computer or something, meaning you're probably doing better than most of the world.

Alison Dubois:

So this is the time of year to be grateful and to share with the people that are around us what we can when we can.

Alison Dubois:

umping into a brand new year,:

Alison Dubois:

I'm going to celebrate that one extra hard, actually.

Alison Dubois:

So it's going to be.

Alison Dubois:

It's to be an interesting year.

Alison Dubois:

So I thank you so much for being my sounding board and speaking to the Young people.

Alison Dubois:

I just.

Alison Dubois:

y that has been unhappy since:

Alison Dubois:

I'm so glad it's gone.

Sophia Dubois:

And I even wanted to say before you wrap up right now, that I know it's not just the young generation on TikTok and Instagram Reels and everyone is a little addicted.

Sophia Dubois:

Yeah.

Sophia Dubois:

I myself will try and not watch as many TikToks, because it is hours of my life each day that I will spend on TikTok.

Sophia Dubois:

Like, it's really bad.

Sophia Dubois:

No, no, no.

Sophia Dubois:

So I'm trying to stay out there, like, maybe do what I'm doing.

Sophia Dubois:

Don't do that.

Sophia Dubois:

You know, don't do that and spend it with family and put your tree up or learn how to cook a meal or cookies or something.

Alison Dubois:

Make some memories.

Sophia Dubois:

Make some memories.

Sophia Dubois:

You know, ice skating.

Alison Dubois:

You know what time I've spent on TikTok.

Sophia Dubois:

Okay, well, you don't have a TikTok, but trust me, a lot of people out there do.

Sophia Dubois:

They do, and it's an addiction.

Alison Dubois:

Well, I'm glad to hear that you're going to.

Alison Dubois:

Well, at least you admit you've got a problem.

Sophia Dubois:

I'm aware that's the first step.

Alison Dubois:

I'm aware I have a problem, so I'm glad that you're going to do that.

Alison Dubois:

And everyone else needs to follow suit and do something for themselves and get rid of something that doesn't serve you.

Alison Dubois:

We're going into that Pluto in Aquarius, and consider this a good thing for all of us.

Alison Dubois:

And we're going to be more of a collective soul in what we want.

Alison Dubois:

And I'm pretty excited about it.

Alison Dubois:

And Aquarius is sort of the joker of the royal family that likes to stir things up.

Alison Dubois:

And it's going to be things that come out of left field that you're not expecting.

Alison Dubois:

And it's why you're seeing all the unique people being put in place in government right now.

Alison Dubois:

The people are like, wait, what?

Alison Dubois:

Why?

Alison Dubois:

That's Aquarius right there.

Alison Dubois:

To pick somebody, that's just not the typical norm.

Alison Dubois:

That's exactly Elon Musk.

Alison Dubois:

Elon Musk.

Alison Dubois:

I mean, he's like, if Aquarius was a person, it's him.

Alison Dubois:

So it's going to be so interesting to watch it unfold.

Alison Dubois:

And I hope everybody enjoys this week and the shift, especially the sun going into Sag and making us feel full of holly and merriment.
