SUMMARY:
“That they may all be one” (John 17:21) –This was Christ's prayer to the Father. This was His prayer for his disciples, but also for us. This was Christ's cry—that the interpenetration between Christ and the Father should also be evident in His sons.
SHOW NOTES:
From the time when Christ was on earth, He has been bringing His sons into a oneness.
The key to the oneness with one another is to penetrate into one another's hearts and spirits.
The Holy Spirit welds us together by the words we speak and the daily practical things we do with each other and for each other.
We believe to be brothers and sisters in the Father's family, but we cannot produce this depth of relationship ourselves; He must complete this.
We cannot wall off our brothers and sisters, but need to believe that God can speak through them.
It's the grace of God that enables us to become the Father's family.
QUOTATIONS:
God is looking for a family, and He is looking for that family to melt together by His Spirit.
We're releasing one another from the inability in our personalities, in our spirits, whatever, in our being from being one.
What is the relationship that Christ had with the Father? He had oneness.
It's as if you walk in the Light as He is in the Light, then you have fellowship.
We'll have all the family spirit that we want to see as we focus on Him, and He becomes all in all.
It's the Lord Christ in one another; our oneness may start with our personal relationship with the Lord in the sky, but that transitions to Christ in the earth.
He's manifesting Himself as Christ in His many-membered body.
Our disagreement is evident in many cases of lack of the cross or lack of finishing the cross, because when you finish the cross, you are a different creation.
Grace, Lord! Make me into that person who is totally Yours!
REFERENCES:
but speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in all aspects into Him who is the head, even Christ, from whom the whole body, being fitted and held together by what every joint supplies, according to the proper working of each individual part, causes the growth of the body for the building up of itself in love.
that they may all be one; even as You, Father, are in Me and I in you, that they also may be in Us, so that the world may believe that You sent Me.
but if we walk in the Light as He himself is in the Light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin.
Now I exhort you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all agree and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be made complete in the same mind and in the same judgment.
For many walk, of whom I often told you, and now tell you even weeping, that they are enemies of the cross of Christ.
But may it never be that I would boast, except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.
You did not choose Me, but I chose you, and appointed you that you would go and bear fruit, and that your fruit would remain, so that whatever you ask of the Father in My name, He may give to you. This I command you, that you love one another.
TAKE AWAY:
God is one, but He expresses Himself as three—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. They are so one that we cannot see one without seeing the others. This is the oneness that the Lord is in the process of creating in His sons, so that when we look at each other, we see Christ. The cross experience as we come into His lordship, will bring forth the many-membered body. By His grace, God is getting His family.
Ron:
God wants a family. He's not looking for a bunch of individuals. He's looking for a family, and He's looking for that family to melt together by His Spirit. We can't do it in ourselves, but by the Holy Spirit, welded, melted, However you want to say that together by a living word that we speak by His Holy Spirit.
We're melting together. We can't do it in ourselves. You're right; we can't. We don't have the capacity. But we do have the capacity to show up and be open and listen and speak. Those are just simple, practical things we can do every time, every day. The whole point is He wants a family. The day is becoming clearer and clearer as we walk on.
This thing of oneness, Lord, we need to be one. We need to open our - I need to open my heart - to my brothers and sisters in a greater way. You just stand there and there's people that grate on you forever. And you know what? Suffer, buddy. You're going to die, because you're going to be one. You're going to be one with your brothers and sisters.
Just that they're not going to change. You're going to change. And we're doing it today as a family right now. We're releasing one another from the inability in our personalities, in our spirit, whatever, in our being from being one . The things, the hangups that each of us have - whatever they are - we may not even know what they are. Doesn't matter. We speak a release to one another right now; the ability to be one.
Monnie:
What is the relationship that Christ had with the Father? He had oneness. What is that oneness? Love; oneness; love. Christ said, “Father, I pray that they be one as We are one.” What is that oneness that they had? Love. Love the family.
Be the family. How do I want oneness? I love you with all of my heart. As I love the Lord with all my heart, with all my soul, that there's a cry, Oh God, that I may know You, in your love. To the height and the depth. We cry out, Oh God, I want to know You. In the oneness with the Lord. Thank you, Father, for Your love
Rick:
So in Christ Jesus, we have oneness. You're not going to produce; you're not going to have oneness outside of Him. It's as if you walk in the light as He is in the light, then you have fellowship. We believe. We trust in that relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ, and because of that, every other thing opens up to us.
Hidden in Him is all the grace and the love. So we draw near to Him. And You've called us to be a family, so that we can walk in Your ways and manifest You in this earth, in our lives, in all that we do and all that we say. You're the cornerstone . But we'll have all the love that we want; we'll have all the family spirit that we want to see as we focus on Him, and He becomes all in all. Paul was very bold. He says, “Now I exhort you, brethren.” It's 1 Corinthians chapter 1, verse 10. “I exhort you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all agree.” Now that's quite a challenge. And that there's no divisions among you. There's got to be no divisions.
But that you be made complete in the same mind and the same judgment. So we keep our eyes on you, Lord, declare our oneness with You. And we declare our oneness with one another because of that.
Ron:
It's the Lord Christ in one another. And again, this is bringing us back to this oneness. Our oneness may start with our personal relationship with the Lord in the sky. But that's transitioning to Christ in the earth, Christ in his many membered body, because that's how He's coming now.
He's not coming, God in the sky. Yeah, he will, someday, but He's manifesting Himself as Christ in His many - membered body. And don't lose your focus on the Lord. That's telling me I better not lose the focus in the Lord and my brother and sister. I better not wall them off. I don't agree with them, so I'm going to go focus on the Lord and see what He's got to say. He just talked to you through your brother and sister.
Dale:
He is Lord. If He is your Lord, we will all agree. Our responsibility then goes to each individual for Him to become your Lord. How does He become your Lord? And it's evident, our disagreement is evident in many cases of lack of the cross or lack of finishing the cross, because when you finish the cross, you are a different creation. Your old nature has died and you have the potential of a new nature. I find that those who He is Lord are the ones that rise up to submit to His lordship. Become a family. There is where the family is - He is their Lord. They will all agree, because of the power of agreement. The grace of God is to do and to become. And that's where we reach in and yell out, “Grace, Lord!” Make me into that person who is totally Yours.
Sherry:
I'm in your heart. You're in mine. I can find you there anytime and know the love that we have to share.
