▶︎ In This Episode

In mainstream media newsrooms, the pervasive lack of representation of people of color is glaring. Dominated by predominantly white journalists and editors, narratives often reflect privileged perspectives. Stories about communities of color are overlooked or sensationalized, reduced to stereotypes.

Meanwhile, everyday struggles and triumphs of people of color are marginalized, deemed unworthy of front-page coverage. This lack of representation perpetuates systemic issues like racism and inequality, as their urgency is downplayed by the media.
