Shownotes

Regardless of the news of the day, our economy and our workforce are always at the forefront. We all want to know if our jobs are secure, or, if we need a job that one is going to come our way.

In this part one of a two part series, we talk with Kelly Fuller, Director of Workforce Development for the Columbus Chamber and John Hambrick, Work-Based Learning Coordinator at the Educational Service Center of Central Ohio (ESC).

We start with their perceptions of our job market today. Yes, we are in a pandemic, but that will change. We may not return to the “old normal”, we may enter a new pattern. How has the workforce changed for the good and bad?

We would all like a “crystal ball” telling us when the current situation will change.  We find out what they think we should expect as we enter into 2021.

We have a strong suspicion that many jobs will change once we work through the pandemic. We talk about particular jobs or industries that will not make it through this crisis. And if they see particular jobs or industries that have been created in the pandemic that will continue to grow/build over the next year or two or more.
