Hello, and welcome to She Needs Grit Podcast. I'm
Speaker:your host, Sam Varner. And today we are talking about
Speaker:the X factor that sets apart women business owners
Speaker:from everybody else. And I know you cannot wait
Speaker:to hear exactly what it is that you already have that
Speaker:you blow everybody else out of the water with. Let's
Speaker:get started. Okay. So women are better business
Speaker:owners because they value thriving life over just business success.
Speaker:This is an idea I read on an article from LinkedIn. And
Speaker:although I agree that this comes up as a reason for why they have businesses, I
Speaker:know that I talk to a lot of clients and that is their reason
Speaker:for building this business, right? Is to have a thriving life
Speaker:and not be tied down to just that all of the time. I
Speaker:can tell you firsthand that women do not actually focus on
Speaker:the actions to create this form from their business. Now, before you
Speaker:drive off the road or come and hunt me down, Just listen
Speaker:for a second. Too many of you want to create
Speaker:financial and time freedom from your businesses so that
Speaker:you can have more time with your kids, thrive in life, and
Speaker:support your ideal life without sacrificing being present.
Speaker:But what I see over and over again is you don't seek
Speaker:to plan for this. Aim for the actions that actually
Speaker:allow it to happen or invest in the pieces that make this a hell of a lot
Speaker:more likely. Most women that come to me are struggling to pay themselves
Speaker:in a meaningful way. They're working all the time and feel like at
Speaker:best they're treading water. They're unsure of how to create more profit
Speaker:in less time, how to increase or even start paying themselves
Speaker:at all. I know you feel this. I know this can
Speaker:be hard to hear, but I also know that there is a solution to
Speaker:this issue. It is not that your dream is wrong
Speaker:or impossible, but you need a plan, a structure, and
Speaker:the support to make it possible. You
Speaker:need to dive into the work and to do it when it sucks, when
Speaker:you don't want to, when you'd rather be scrolling or binging. And
Speaker:I'm going to tell you the story of a woman and you'll see exactly
Speaker:what I mean. Okay. She had a dream to build
Speaker:a big business, big enough that she'd be financially independent.
Speaker:She could travel, renovate her home, pay her kids college,
Speaker:and not have to wait until the household could afford such things.
Speaker:She believed in herself deeply and had ample proof she
Speaker:could do this. She had the skills and the knowledge that she knew
Speaker:meant that her clients' lives were forever changed for the better. She
Speaker:held herself back. She played small. She spent too much
Speaker:time working on the back end of her business. She was afraid to raise
Speaker:her rates, afraid to do things wrong, to push herself
Speaker:beyond her comfort zone because she just wasn't sure she knew
Speaker:how to do it right. As if right is an actual
Speaker:thing. Type A, driven, smart as
Speaker:fuck, capable, and yet still the years passed. The
Speaker:growth in her business was less than she thought was possible, but
Speaker:she didn't know what else she could do. She spent a lot of time DIYing things.
Speaker:Yep. Bootstrap, YouTube, spit and duct tape,
Speaker:right? Save all of the money that the company made for
Speaker:fear it would be her last invoice, the last time somebody paid her. But
Speaker:eventually she changed. And honestly, I bet looking
Speaker:back, that trigger of that change, I don't know, maybe
Speaker:it was a podcast. Maybe she listened to something or heard somebody say
Speaker:something, or just got a little whisper in the wind that she was actually
Speaker:capable of doing the things that she wanted to do. but she had to do
Speaker:better. So, she invested in a coach and
Speaker:business training. She invested in help for the pieces of her
Speaker:business she didn't know how, or honestly didn't want to
Speaker:know how, and she grew. Like a little small seedling, the water
Speaker:was okay to grow the plant, but by adding the
Speaker:fertilizer and trimming the trees around so the sun came
Speaker:down, she was blazing. That woman I'm speaking of,
Speaker:I know you recognize her because I'm talking to you.
Speaker:I'm talking about you. You're holding yourself back. You're
Speaker:playing small. You're shrinking in the shade. And that woman
Speaker:I speak of was also me. Yeah, that was
Speaker:me too. I did those things. I struggled, I cried, and
Speaker:then eventually I shifted. But it wasn't without trial
Speaker:and turmoil. It wasn't without small growth years
Speaker:and slowness in my goal achieving,
Speaker:right? But I found people and the tools that I needed to grow.
Speaker:I stepped out of fear into possibility and growth and I grew. The
Speaker:X factor is that you are a woman with an amazing dream and
Speaker:a business that could be paying you and supporting your actual
Speaker:thriving life way better. So my question for you today
Speaker:in this podcast is, what the hell are you waiting for? What
Speaker:is it that you actually need? What's the one thing you need to
Speaker:change, to grow, to invest in, to buy, to
Speaker:seek out that would forever change the trajectory of your business?
Speaker:And honestly, that's your life, right? Because your business is
Speaker:your supporting cast. You're building a life, you,
Speaker:you personally, all by yourself. And it's fucking amazing, but
Speaker:it could be so much more. That is the reason I've
Speaker:created She Profits School. It might be the solution you've
Speaker:been looking for to get you from little tiny seedling
Speaker:right up into a big ass oak tree. So if that sounded
