Ken:
We know through Christ we have an entrance into the Father's heart, but it's that name of Jesus which is above every name given in heaven and in earth that we come, and not out of rote, but because it's real to us.
Roger:
Jesus Christ must be real to us by revelation. No one comes to the Father, comes to the revelation of the Father but through Me.
Ken:
When Peter, James, and John were on the Mount of Transfiguration, Peter said, well, let's build three tabernacles. And then God appears on the scene and speaks through the cloud and says, this Is My Son, hear Him. Peter in the very beginning said, Thou art the Christ, the son of the living God.
And Jesus said, Flesh and blood didn't reveal that to you. That was a revelation from my Father. He made it clear that I am the one who is speaking a word from Him. God the Father says His name will be above every name. In Heaven and on Earth . In Christ, we automatically are with the Father. They are one.
Roger:
You know, Jesus made the statement. He who has the Son, has the Father, and he who does not have the Son, does not have the Father.
Rick:
No one knows the Father except the Son. and whomever the Son wills to reveal Him, and no one knows the Son except the Father. It's a back and forth relationship, so precious and so deep, that it has to live for us.
The only way to know the Father is through the Son. Then the only way to know the Son is through the Father. In Matthew 6, this thing starts out, it says, Our Father. who is in heaven, and we, we all know this, we know it by heart. All of a sudden it just dawned on me, He's declaring that God is His Father and our Father.
He's positioning Himself with us so that we appear before Him together. So when we come before Him, that's what we do, we come with the Lord Jesus Christ. Let Him take you into His presence and introduce you to the Father. Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name.
Ron:
I approach the Father as my Father. The Lord Jesus Christ taught me to pray to my Father. You're a son, so go to your Father.
Dale:
Christ in you is the hope of glory. We are sons. If you started out walking in Christ's footsteps and you continue in those footsteps, each step we take in His footsteps brings us closer to the Father. It doesn't matter where you're at as long as you're on the way and you stay in those footsteps. Along the way you gain an anointing as a son, and that anointing is Jesus Christ in you, the hope of glory.
Ken:
We have entered into sonship by the revelation of Jesus Christ Himself. We've been brought into a place where we have a relationship with the Father. That relationship is by the revelation of Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is the way, the truth, and the life.
Mike:
Jesus himself kind of spells it out pretty clearly here. In John 6 verse 32 he says, Truly, truly, I say to you, it is not Moses who has given you the bread out of heaven, but it is my Father who gives you the true bread out of heaven. All that the Father gives Me shall come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will certainly not cast out. For this is the will of my Father that everyone who beholds the Son and believes in Him may have eternal life, and I Myself will raise Him up on the last day. No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him, and I will raise him up on the last day. It is written in the Prophets and they shall all be taught of God. Everyone who has heard and learned from the Father comes to Me.
We're following after the pattern of the Son of God, the firstborn Son. We're learning to become sons, and as sons, we should be reflecting and painting this beautiful picture of the Son, Christ Jesus. That's the way the Father has ordained it to be. But don't forget what it says in the second, third, fourth, and fifth verses here.
It says, He, Christ, was in the beginning with God. All things came into being by Him. And apart from Him, nothing came into being that has come into being. In him was life. And the life was the light of men, and the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness does not comprehend it. The Father and Christ work together in a oneness that brings about all these wonderful things that the Scriptures reveal to us.
Debbie:
Christ came to reveal the Father, and the Holy Spirit's here to reveal Christ to us, reveal the Father to us. Every aspect is one. We're coming into the oneness of Christ. And we're to be one even as He and the Father were one. The Lord wants to bring us into the place where we're just one with it. One with the Father. One with the Son. One with the Holy Spirit.
Monnie:
Christ had His relationship with the Father by the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit, which is the Father's heart, Father's Spirit. He was taught how to relate to the Father in the flesh when he was here on the earth.
Bill:
Whether you're speaking to the Holy Spirit, the Lord Jesus Christ, or the Heavenly Father, it's all the triune nature of God.
Jesus is the door, the access, but He's not a security guard that when I come to the door, it's not, let me check your credentials, let me see if you're doing it right. His whole purpose is to facilitate our access to the Father. It's kind of like the blind men and the elephant. They were all feeling the elephant.
Whether I approach God directly or I approach Him through the blood of Jesus Christ, as it were, or I start by talking to the Holy Spirit, you know, it's all allowing me access to the triune nature of God.
