Shownotes

As part of our agricultural agro-processing series, in this edition we take a sneak peak into the South African wool industry. National Wool Growers Associations’s Leon De Beer shares some guidelines to process wool in Mzansi.

Farmers continuously adapt to ensure optimal production. This week our Meadow Feeds segment is geared towards that exactly, focusing on how farmers can get the most out of their pigs’ genetics with Meadow Feeds technical advisor, Enrike Maree.

Making a grand come back is our much loved #SoilSisters campaign. Weekly we’ll meet some of the most dynamic women in the agricultural industry, selected for the Corteva Women Agripreneur 2022 programme. We kick off with Boipelo Molefe, former logistics manager and founder of Mpelegeng farm in Limpopo.

And, our farmer tip of the week comes from Yasas Jayakody, operations director at Elysian Fields a vegetable farm based in Tarlton outside Krugersdorp.
