Zero hope. When the crew of the Rimor 89 is violently ripped from cryo-sleep, they find themselves not in orbit, but entombed in a flooded, rusted submarine at the bottom of an alien ocean. Surrounded by parasitic abominations and the calcified mistakes of a long-dead corporate bio-weapons division, three crewmates must fight their way to the surface. It’s a claustrophobic nightmare of failing flamethrowers, acid burns, and android nightmares. Will they drown in the dark, or will the silence of space be an even worse tomb?

Speaker:

Let's go.

2

:

So I'm Nick, I run the Dead Letter Bureau games and I'm here acting as Warden, not handler

for a one shot with some illustrious folks who will introduce themselves in a second.

3

:

And I will reveal the name of the scenario I remixed at the end, cause it's kind of a

spoiler.

4

:

Kimmy, why don't you start us off?

5

:

Yeah, my name is Kimmy.

6

:

You may know me from uh Black Flare.

7

:

I will be playing Tammy, an android, for Mothership today.

8

:

And uh yeah, pleasure to be here.

9

:

Thank you, Nick, for inviting me.

10

:

course.

11

:

Charlie?

12

:

Hey guys, I'm Charlie.

13

:

You may know me as Agent Meridian on the Tea List podcast.

14

:

And yeah, I'll be playing Mikhail Orlov today, a marine.

15

:

The tea list, I like that.

16

:

I have never heard it referred to.

17

:

all right.

18

:

Last but not least, Jeremy, what do you got for us?

19

:

My name's Jeremy.

20

:

I am on no podcasts, but I bounce around way too many Delta Green discords at Space Chef.

21

:

And I'll plug my little recipe clip discord.

22

:

Some of you might hang, enjoy that little bit of fun I started a year ago.

23

:

And I'm playing Dr.

24

:

Nikolai Merkin, like a scientist in this crazy universe we're about to get into.

25

:

Indeed.

26

:

Yeah, speaking of crazy universe, you're safely asleep.

27

:

You have been cryogenically frozen and there's a low comforting hum that encompasses your

pod.

28

:

Tammy, you are in a stasis, just keeping your batteries charged.

29

:

You're not conscious per se, but you are also awaiting your mission.

30

:

You're all a part of the UFS Trotsky, which is a routine deployment from the collective.

31

:

And you're out in deep space doing scientific missions.

32

:

Your specific one, you're never sure until it starts.

33

:

You get off of the Trotsky on a smaller vessel that will send you to some planet and you

will get your instructions then.

34

:

And that's what you know about the mission you're on.

35

:

when you set off.

36

:

You know it'll probably be about 36 years, earth prime years of your life, and then you'll

be able to come back.

37

:

So really quick, can each of you think of one memory from home?

38

:

Take your time.

39

:

Michael doesn't really come from Earth in general.

40

:

He does come from a colony.

41

:

He does remember his father.

42

:

He would know him as a Titan.

43

:

But and the people in the colony would call him Atlas because big broad shoulders, immense

strength, yet never complaining, never fearing always.

44

:

enduring, which is something that he would idolize and learn from his entire life.

45

:

Never complain.

46

:

Be strong for people.

47

:

stoic man, would you say he's a man of the collective or is he an individualist?

48

:

he's always been about the group before himself.

49

:

Thank you, Mikhail.

50

:

I'll say you see Dr.

51

:

Nikolai or Dr.

52

:

Merkin standing in a room.

53

:

There's another man with a briefcase and they seem to be doing an exchange and he's like,

you're sure, you're sure these are the real thing.

54

:

Dr.

55

:

Nikolai asked the man and he's like, and the man is like, yes, yes, like the real thing,

real thing.

56

:

and he opens up the suitcase and it's just these like black animal skin looking gloves and

he's like, well, they're, they're very hard to get planet side.

57

:

You know, and he's like, yes, but and then Dr.

58

:

Nicolai is just like, yes, but the to have a real alien gloves is just, I cannot resist.

59

:

And he just kind of takes these gloves off and puts them on.

60

:

And he seems very happy and they kind of wrap up their exchange.

61

:

Nothing, nothing odd about it.

62

:

It's just man doing business.

63

:

Yeah, so you have these black alien gloves.

64

:

Are they leathery?

65

:

they...

66

:

Yeah, it's like this leathery, semi-shiny skin.

67

:

And I guess to put some conflicts on it, like Earth side or whatever, you might not,

typically any planet you're on, you're not necessarily gonna have like these exotic

68

:

gloves.

69

:

Like they're hard to find.

70

:

So he had to do some work to get these.

71

:

But they exist out there.

72

:

Yeah, so you jumped through some bureaucratic hoops and probably snuck them in some way

without the collective knowing and they are yours.

73

:

Tammy, memory wise, what does Tammy bring up?

74

:

yeah, it's funny you mentioned memories.

75

:

She or they, it, whatever, doesn't really matter.

76

:

She doesn't have a whole lot of old memories because she's recently been reprogrammed to

help aid the company or wherever.

77

:

And

78

:

They used to be called talking and moving machine.

79

:

Yeah.

80

:

But now they are now technologically advanced moving machine.

81

:

Yeah.

82

:

uh So they kept the yeah.

83

:

Yeah.

84

:

But as for memories, probably just.

85

:

Whoever reprogrammed her just was like, hey, you're all set to go.

86

:

You're going to be on this mission taking care of these people for 36 years and just make

sure that the ship stays afloat and has been tasked to keep that.

87

:

Yeah.

88

:

Yeah.

89

:

Yeah, and Tammy would know that, you know, the Trotsky is a massive vessel and the actual

ship that you'll end up caring for is the RIMOR 89, R-I-M-O-R 89.

90

:

And it's a satellite ship that just takes off from this larger mothership and goes to a

planet, an asteroid, whatever it may be, right?

91

:

And you...

92

:

are very, very knowledgeable about that ship, not necessarily the larger one.

93

:

And so we'll fade there with our memories.

94

:

Nikolai and Mikhail you Are asleep, right?

95

:

But something awakens you almost like a physical blow, right?

96

:

You start to wake up and you immediately feel sick there's a nausea that comes over you

and you feel the taste of copper in your mouth and it feels like you're breathing for the

97

:

very first time and

98

:

your blood feels heavy in your body as you're like reacquainting yourself with your own

meat bag, I guess you could say.

99

:

And yeah, there's a staleness to the air and you wake up in your pod.

100

:

It's a little foggy, but one thing you do see through the glass is strobing lights.

101

:

Red, yellow, red, yellow, red, yellow.

102

:

and it hasn't opened yet.

103

:

Any first thoughts as you've awoken?

104

:

This is wrong.

105

:

So a little bit of fear.

106

:

Maybe there's that, I don't know, little taste of vomit in the back of my throat as I'm

like, this isn't right.

107

:

Like something's wrong.

108

:

Tammy, you get a notification deep within you that awakens you.

109

:

There seems to be an injury aboard and your systems power up.

110

:

It takes a good 15, 20 seconds.

111

:

You maybe wiggle your fingers, your toes as you come online again.

112

:

and your eyes snap open and you see a line of cryogenic pods, a few of them open and you

also see a man with what looks to be some sort of chisel knife something.

113

:

It's hard to identify as you're just powering on and he is slamming into one of the

cryogenic pods.

114

:

Nikolai and Mikhail, your pods.

115

:

start to open and this is an emergency wake up.

116

:

Usually you would be refilled with fluids and they would feed you a little bit and do some

electrical exercises with electrodes on your muscles to make you ready but they are

117

:

kicking you out of these pods because of this emergency and you too see this guy just

whack whack on one of the other pods.

118

:

Mmm.

119

:

who is he trying to, whose pod is he knocking on?

120

:

Do we know?

121

:

Yeah, go ahead.

122

:

Give me an intellect.

123

:

And if there's any modifier that you have you think you could use, you can add it on.

124

:

OK, yeah, just give me intellect.

125

:

like it's military training involved.

126

:

No.

127

:

This is a D100, right?

128

:

That's still a D100 system.

129

:

We're talking 53.

130

:

This is not good because my intellect is only 32.

131

:

Okay, so you have to add one stress for every time you fail a roll.

132

:

So add a stress to your stress pool.

133

:

You look out, it's hard to glean whose pod that is.

134

:

You don't remember the order.

135

:

You're not sure how long it's been.

136

:

What you do get is the smell of just strange coppery, almost like rust, which you should

not.

137

:

I mean, you're in the collective and they don't necessarily send you out with the best

equipment, because you know, like, it's all kind of standard, but it should not smell like

138

:

this.

139

:

That's what you do get.

140

:

And you hear him now as you're trying to tune into that, he's like, I'm drowning, I feel

like I'm drowning.

141

:

I'm drowning, I feel like I'm drowning.

142

:

And he's like, stop it, stop it.

143

:

And he's just like pounding.

144

:

And the glass is starting to open more.

145

:

and you see him jam the knife within the glass and start to...

146

:

Can everybody make a speed check?

147

:

And if you're doing something with that speed check, like you're using your combat

training or something, you can add that as a modifier.

148

:

Oh, so close.

149

:

29 under oh yeah you got the sat die going nice at 29 under 40 sorry 29 okay cool I got it

using combat I probably would make like sure this guy that is restrained or something

150

:

Yeah, so you're using your combat abilities to jump out of the pod as fast as you can and

get to him.

151

:

You can't quite grab him yet.

152

:

what do you, you succeeded as well, Tammy?

153

:

Nope.

154

:

Okay.

155

:

Okay.

156

:

Add, add a stress and Nikolai I'm assuming.

157

:

Yeah.

158

:

over 33, so, so close.

159

:

It's a little groggy.

160

:

Yeah.

161

:

So Mikhail, you're able to get out of your pod, no problem.

162

:

You see Nikolai start to get out and get woozy and kind of double over and almost fall on

the ground, but catches himself with one arm and is holding himself on the side of the

163

:

pod.

164

:

And you're using your speed to just get as fast as possible to this guy.

165

:

Okay, great.

166

:

Okay.

167

:

Yeah, as you run up, he's going to turn and he is, the knife is jammed in the glass still.

168

:

So he turns and he's going to try to punch you in the face.

169

:

31 and he does punch you in the face.

170

:

Let me get some quick damage on that.

171

:

And you get hit right in the nose and left side of your nose starts to bleed a little bit

and you take three damage from that.

172

:

This is me dying on scene one.

173

:

Very great.

174

:

Great, great, great.

175

:

Love that.

176

:

Okay, now you can all choose who can act in what order at this point.

177

:

And then after you do something, it'll be his turn again.

178

:

Miguel, you're already up next to him, Tammy and Nikolai, you guys need to get over to

there.

179

:

Yeah, I think maybe Dr.

180

:

Nikolai and his fog will try to like, kind of like bull rush this guy, kind of run into

him with like a shoulder kind of thing or something.

181

:

He's trying to, well, not a bull rush, but like a bull rush tackle kind of thing.

182

:

Like he just wants to try to break this situation up.

183

:

Yeah, give me a combat role.

184

:

Okay, 69 over 32, so.

185

:

add some stress.

186

:

Mikael, you're not sure what the fuck Nikolai's doing, but he's half on the ground and he

kinda crawls over and tries to go for this guy's legs.

187

:

And he does wrap himself around the legs, but it's just kinda pulling on him like this.

188

:

Maybe it's the cryo sickness that, you know, he's so weak from that, but it is not

working.

189

:

Well, I will punch this guy right back.

190

:

That's combat, right?

191

:

Yep, combat and if you want to add anything to it, you can.

192

:

No, would be that.

193

:

So if I okay, so it's 10 bonus.

194

:

Cool.

195

:

So that would be to combat would be 60 in this case.

196

:

So 13 under 60.

197

:

Great, yeah, you pop him in the head.

198

:

How much damage do you do with your hand-to-hand?

199

:

Let's see.

200

:

Where is that written?

201

:

can roll them bones but I 40.

202

:

Thanks

203

:

Sorry.

204

:

Although we are coming out of cryo, isn't that like ruining our stats quite a bit?

205

:

Not yet, but.

206

:

Good, good.

207

:

Let's see here.

208

:

So I could just feel a little sick, but it doesn't seem to be affecting me too much yet.

209

:

Yeah, yeah, the adrenaline has kicked in.

210

:

yeah, go ahead and roll me a D6.

211

:

Five.

212

:

Okay.

213

:

You uppercut him back.

214

:

His head flies back and there's blood coming out of his teeth right here.

215

:

As you do that, you have hit him quite hard and he spits some out and he just is like, I'm

drowning.

216

:

Get it out.

217

:

I'm drowning.

218

:

I'm drowning.

219

:

reaches down and grabs the knife on the cryopod that's stuck in the glass.

220

:

Tammy, what are you doing?

221

:

not so great with combat, but I can certainly try.

222

:

Let's roll.

223

:

Just to try to disarm him, maybe grab the knife before he does or something like that.

224

:

And that is a 98 over 35.

225

:

So that doesn't happen.

226

:

Yep.

227

:

So he's going to do a strength check to see if he can rip this knife out.

228

:

And he rolled a 55 over a 35 and he's quite interested in getting this out and he starts

to twist it and twist it, but it's not coming out.

229

:

Mikael, since you're standing up there, you see that whoever's in this pod is waking up

and you hear them gasp and you see some red like through the fog, like on where their,

230

:

where their eye is.

231

:

You're not sure if

232

:

He was stabbed in the eye, but he is missing an eye now.

233

:

And you also realize that this is the chef.

234

:

Like you're fighting chef Byron.

235

:

Like why, like what is he doing?

236

:

Right.

237

:

it is back to you guys as he critically failed that check to get the knife out.

238

:

Okay, I will boot the chef in the face because he's on the floor, Okay, okay, so I will

like shove him back to make sure he doesn't get the knife.

239

:

If and if I can physically hit him at the same time, that'd great.

240

:

You don't touch this face.

241

:

Yeah, roll it.

242

:

Combat.

243

:

Okay, 38 under 60.

244

:

Okay, great.

245

:

Yeah, you're able to push him back.

246

:

Give me a D4 of damage since you're not punching him.

247

:

three, yeah, you push him hard and he hits his head as he falls on the ground.

248

:

He slams against a wall and bonks his head and is looking dazed.

249

:

And you see a smile across his face.

250

:

He says, thank you, I felt better.

251

:

And then he just like something snaps back.

252

:

grabs his head and it's like, I'm drowning.

253

:

And then wiggles around on the ground.

254

:

Can I roll psychology, one of my expert skills, to see what's up with him?

255

:

Would that be under intellect, technically?

256

:

with psychology.

257

:

Yep, yep.

258

:

That is under 45.

259

:

you could use your train and skills.

260

:

Nice.

261

:

You are very observant and the psychology is psychosis.

262

:

Like you would assess him as, know, he's not actually drowning, but he's talking about

drowning and you would diagnose him in some sort of psychotic break.

263

:

Go ahead and give me another speed check with that also on it to see if you catch

something.

264

:

So with the additional 15.

265

:

Okay.

266

:

is under yes under 45.

267

:

Great, so you look down and as he's wriggling around, you swear you see something in his

ear like flop around as he turns his head away from you and you can't see it anymore.

268

:

Seems like there's something in his ear.

269

:

We need to put him down or make sure he doesn't move.

270

:

What?

271

:

oh

272

:

What are you talking about?

273

:

um As far as, yeah, well, I think he's gonna try to get up without like slipping and

making a fool of himself, but he wants to like find something to maybe restrain this guy.

274

:

like, I don't know, some rope or some wiring or maybe there's some actual tools for

dealing with people that come out of cryostasis, maybe a little crazed.

275

:

Yeah.

276

:

Give me a intellect to see if you can grab something.

277

:

jury.

278

:

I have jury rigging that I will like use anything to subdue this guy or get him in

control.

279

:

So that is a 46 under 65.

280

:

Beautiful.

281

:

you know, there is this drawer under each cryo tube that has some medical tubing you could

use to tie them.

282

:

But more importantly, you know, there is both a stimulant and an anti-nausea thing that

also can put you to sleep with enough of it that you're supposed to use when you first

283

:

wake up.

284

:

So you're next to that thing.

285

:

If you give me a speed check,

286

:

If you want to attempt to do it in the same turn, you can try to get that open and slam

the antinagia thing in him.

287

:

Yeah, let's do a speed check.

288

:

Sure.

289

:

Gonna fail that though.

290

:

if you add your jury rig.

291

:

Nope, yeah, yeah, I would still fail it.

292

:

Okay, out of stress.

293

:

All right.

294

:

It is his turn.

295

:

He stands up and is holding his head and he, or doesn't stand up, sorry.

296

:

He gets into a kneeling position and is squeezing his head just, and then he just starts

slamming it against the back and you start to see blood on the wall behind him and.

297

:

Maybe you're surprised, but you see him hit it three times and then fall down on the

ground and slump over.

298

:

Can you each give me a sanity roll?

299

:

This one's bad.

300

:

Just a sanity roll, he said.

301

:

Yep.

302

:

So under.

303

:

Mine is 79 over 21.

304

:

56 over 20.

305

:

Okay.

306

:

32 under 47, doctor keeps it together.

307

:

Yeah, you're keeping your cool, Nikolai.

308

:

And so.

309

:

Can you both add a stress for the lack of sanity in this?

310

:

And Nikolai, you have first dibs on what to do as they're processing the situation.

311

:

Um, I think I'm continuing to try to subdue this guy.

312

:

Like, seems like I'm like slipping around and like this goo is all over me and I can't get

things together in time, but I'm still making like slow progress to like get over to this

313

:

guy and try to get the situation in control.

314

:

Yeah, you can give a strength plus your jury rig to tie them up if that's what you're

trying.

315

:

Yeah, yeah, let's do that.

316

:

Wow.

317

:

90 over 50, which is going to fail.

318

:

Fun times.

319

:

Yeah, go ahead.

320

:

You're not feeling well right now.

321

:

So yeah.

322

:

You're a little sick right now.

323

:

Sorry.

324

:

Yeah, so you're trying to tie him up, you keep fumbling it, it's hard.

325

:

What you do notice as you are trying to tie him up is he's not really moving.

326

:

So it doesn't necessarily matter much.

327

:

I think this look dawns on Nikolai's face and he's like, maybe starts like, he starts

like, if this guy isn't presenting a threat, like he's like reaching for a pulse, like,

328

:

and kind of taking the scene in with all this blood and everything around.

329

:

yeah, there there is not a pulse anymore.

330

:

It's like the chef, the chef is dead.

331

:

What was he doing?

332

:

I don't understand.

333

:

Yeah, you have fond memories of Chef Bjorn.

334

:

So he was a nice guy, great cook.

335

:

He did all he could with the MRE type meals on the ship and usually whipped up something

really good.

336

:

It's out of any semblance of combat now.

337

:

So you guys are free to look around.

338

:

And as you do, you do notice that the air smells strange in here.

339

:

Again, that coppery smell.

340

:

It feels like rust almost.

341

:

the chef is like his pants are wet.

342

:

Not like he urinated himself, but like his legs are wet, which is also strange.

343

:

What do you wanna do with him in front of you?

344

:

Well, I will pick the knife out of the pod.

345

:

And I think Tammy mentioned he had something in his ear.

346

:

Yeah, I think Nikolai's gonna look over at Tammy and it's like, his ear, like what was in

him?

347

:

You said something was in him?

348

:

Yeah, it kind of looked like some sort of worm or...

349

:

Can she like kind of roll him on his side to see if she can see what is in her...

350

:

what's in his ear?

351

:

Yeah, you roll him over and the, it's no longer there, but there is some dried, well not

dried, some wet blood that has streamed down from it.

352

:

Yeah.

353

:

Do you have surgery or anything like that?

354

:

Yeah.

355

:

You could, if you had zoology maybe, like.

356

:

Yeah.

357

:

mean, the good doctor could try and kind of look at some things.

358

:

know, he would be, his focus is on like, he's got axobiology and like zoology.

359

:

So his focus is a little more on aliens, but like that all comes with the.

360

:

It's all built on a solid understanding of regular biology, and then you just expand out.

361

:

Yeah, is this something you would try to extract from him?

362

:

do I like see it?

363

:

Do I like see something that like there's evidence of like, I don't know, I see like a

little tail or something.

364

:

I mean, yeah.

365

:

in there.

366

:

Or it fell out, who knows.

367

:

Um, I think he would say, if perhaps we should get him, you know, back to the med bay or

the lab, if this is, you know, like maybe there's an autopsy we should do.

368

:

I don't know if I want to do it here.

369

:

you should probably get control of, make sure we have control of the ship as well.

370

:

I don't, I don't understand what's going on.

371

:

this is not the way we normally wake up.

372

:

Yeah, as you're saying that you hear, get me the fuck out of here.

373

:

Mikhail below you, there's a guy slamming the glass now and he's like, get me out of here.

374

:

Come on, Mikhail, is that you?

375

:

And you know that this is the pilot of the Rimmoir and he is not happy.

376

:

You guys just call him Cap, so.

377

:

Like, cause he pilots, he's not actually a captain, but you guys have called him cap.

378

:

You know, his real name is Jean, but he would probably punch you in the face if he called

him that.

379

:

And yeah, he's missing an eye as you look down in there.

380

:

There's an emergency release that you can hit.

381

:

Are you gonna let him out or are gonna keep him in there?

382

:

yeah, definitely.

383

:

Yeah, it comes open and he bowls, like leans out of the side, holding his eyes.

384

:

my fucking eye.

385

:

my God.

386

:

What was, was that, was that Byron Bjorn trying to kill me or something?

387

:

He said he was drowning.

388

:

Ah.

389

:

I don't know what that means.

390

:

I don't either.

391

:

he was in some sort of psychosis state.

392

:

I could definitely maybe run the computers and see what happened, because aren't we all

technically supposed to be under?

393

:

Yes, why was he awake?

394

:

It's unclear, but I can go check that.

395

:

Yeah, there's a terminal.

396

:

You go to the terminal, assuming.

397

:

Yes.

398

:

Okay, yeah, you're operating on no to low power and you're surprised, you're wondering if

even the doors will open, but you're able to get the terminal up and all it says is report

399

:

to nav, report to nav.

400

:

And next to it though, conveniently is a schematic, a small schematic of the ship.

401

:

that you can pull off the wall you are an SLP, which is sleep.

402

:

And the captain's like, my God, let's get to the nav and figure out what's going on.

403

:

And yeah, looking around, you do see other pods are open.

404

:

There is one pod that you would assume is a guy named Ivan.

405

:

And Ivan was one of the head engineers worked with you, Nikolai.

406

:

And then the other is Alder, which was the head scientist who also worked with you,

Nikolai.

407

:

You kind of bridge the gap between the two and both of their pods are empty.

408

:

And obviously Bjorn's is as well.

409

:

We're all awake.

410

:

Come on.

411

:

And he gets to the door and he slams the button to open it.

412

:

And you're looking at a circular type door that just kind of pops open like a small

electrical hiss and swings in to a galley, which is a half kitchen, half dining area.

413

:

There's a table again.

414

:

No frills, very utilitarian.

415

:

They don't, you don't really decorate in here and it's, you know, very disheveled, right?

416

:

It looks like Bjorn was pulling stuff off of the walls and digging through things.

417

:

They're, the cabinets are open.

418

:

All of the food is gone.

419

:

It looks like as you're kind of just glancing.

420

:

In this galley that looks picked through, would you be looking for anything for yourself?

421

:

You guys are in your cryo suits, which is basically a gray outfit that is again, just like

this room, utilitarian.

422

:

There's no armor to it.

423

:

You're you have your like little clog booties on and that's it.

424

:

So

425

:

Mikael would probably try and find, cause he's feeling naked, a part of the suit.

426

:

So probably would wear something to protect himself and others as well.

427

:

Yeah, you would assume that was in the armory on the deck below you, but as you're looking

around, you find a metal spatula that looks like it could really slap somebody, you know,

428

:

if you were to don it, Okay, yeah.

429

:

Anybody want the spatula?

430

:

Uh, the doctor will take it.

431

:

eh Like, really hit somebody on their knuckles.

432

:

Don't touch that.

433

:

And yeah, this room is quiet, right?

434

:

You space is quiet in general, but it's strange.

435

:

Like you, if other people were awake, like the old engineer, Ivan and Alder, the

scientists, you would probably hear them somewhere in the vessel and you don't hear

436

:

anything right now.

437

:

can

438

:

Tammy, can you give me an intellect?

439

:

Just straight intellect.

440

:

29 under 51.

441

:

You're in tune with the...

442

:

the ship, right?

443

:

Like you've, while your exact memories are not necessarily kept from mission to mission,

you have this nature that you can commune with the ship through terminals, right?

444

:

And it feels strange, right?

445

:

You, you feel like it's in gravity, but is stagnant.

446

:

So there's just something off about the movement of the ship.

447

:

Okay, so you're in the galley, heading straight to nav, searching more?

448

:

I mean, wouldn't we be like famished also from waking up from cryo?

449

:

Yeah, yeah, if you want.

450

:

Actually, all of you make a body save.

451

:

No, that's gonna be terrible.

452

:

Fail.

453

:

Fail, fail.

454

:

98 that's terrible.

455

:

No

456

:

Yeah, 86 over 20.

457

:

Although I don't really know if Tammy would need to nourish.

458

:

I think she's mostly just battery operated.

459

:

Yeah, yeah, we can we can we won't add a stress for that fail, right?

460

:

But, Mikhail and Nikolai, you are going to have to get some food.

461

:

And you should probably get one of those stimulants in the cryo thing.

462

:

think I'm gonna look at Mikhail and be like, look, look, we should head back to the sleep

area here.

463

:

There should be some stimpaks and maybe our clothes are still there if they weren't

stolen.

464

:

Maybe we can put a little more on here besides these cryo clothes.

465

:

Yeah, you know in each of your cryo things, it is one personal item, which is your trinket

and then your normal like dress clothes.

466

:

If you want armor and stuff, you will definitely have to go, that's all stored in the

armory.

467

:

And there is, you're able to get that on, are you taking the stimulants?

468

:

Okay, so.

469

:

should make us feel better.

470

:

that'll counteract everything.

471

:

And in fact, you see Cap taking the stimulant as well.

472

:

And he runs over and starts looking through the cabinets.

473

:

He's like, there's no fucking food here.

474

:

Where's all of our food?

475

:

Yeah, and Nikolai is like kind of putting on this like white lab coat, you know, getting

himself a little prepared.

476

:

And he's like, okay, I don't know.

477

:

Like maybe the chef took it.

478

:

Maybe those other two, I don't know where the other two are.

479

:

Maybe they're stockpiled somewhere.

480

:

We gotta figure out what's going on.

481

:

Yeah.

482

:

Okay, we got to get to nav.

483

:

And the captain opens the door from the galley to a small hallway and just a metal tube

basically.

484

:

And at the top of it is a porthole with an emergency escape thing out or an airlock

basically.

485

:

And he opens another circular door that opens up to the nav.

486

:

Are you guys following as you've gotten dressed and taking some drugs?

487

:

Yeah.

488

:

Yeah, ready to partay.

489

:

Yeah, this is a large iron room and there's a giant window that walking into you would

expect to see the infinite starlight of the void of space in front of you in this massive

490

:

glass viewport.

491

:

Instead the room feels very heavy and it's pitch black out there.

492

:

If you port wall, it's just stagnant.

493

:

There's no movement as you can see.

494

:

It's very dark.

495

:

There's no lights lighting up this room.

496

:

This thing should be powered on if you're floating through space, but it has just an

emergency power and you see one terminal flashing, right?

497

:

And the captain's like, okay, go ahead, yeah, Tammy, go Tammy.

498

:

Tammy would like to check that out and look at the terminal and yeah.

499

:

you go to the terminal and it does say emergency power and it says reactor reboot needed

for full power and it's blinking and then it says reroute rest of power to nav question

500

:

mark.

501

:

reroute to...

502

:

sorry repeat that again.

503

:

to the navigation of the ship.

504

:

Sounds like we're unlimited power, so if we route the power to nav, we may be cutting off

other areas of the ship.

505

:

But I don't know, we're out of here.

506

:

The captain's like, well, we won't know what's going on until we do that.

507

:

So Tammy, please.

508

:

Yeah.

509

:

Do I need to roll?

510

:

Okay.

511

:

and yes.

512

:

And some of the systems come online.

513

:

You see the nav screen start to flicker to life and a loading screen of the collective,

just a giant C starts to slowly, slowly boot up here.

514

:

And floodlights turn on.

515

:

to illuminate the viewport that faces out of the ship.

516

:

And you're expecting something, right?

517

:

And what you do see is thick drifts of organic waste suspended outside.

518

:

Ghost white shapes uncurl in the light and flitter away.

519

:

and you see a strange thing with fins come across the viewport.

520

:

You are in water.

521

:

The captain goes ahead and rolls a sanity save.

522

:

007, so he does it.

523

:

And I think we might need to roll a sanity save as well.

524

:

He's like, what?

525

:

You think so?

526

:

Is the ship gonna be okay?

527

:

Oh yeah!

528

:

10.

529

:

as well.

530

:

Nice.

531

:

Okay, out of stress.

532

:

I've seen this movie before.

533

:

Exactly.

534

:

Yeah, old film.

535

:

So yeah, you see sea creatures out there.

536

:

The captain's breath turns ragged.

537

:

He...

538

:

goes to the navigation panel and punches in and tries to locate the ship.

539

:

You are on a planet designated CX436.

540

:

You're not sure how you got here.

541

:

He is punching in trying to locate the larger mothership of the Trotsky, but it looks like

it's a fair amount of time, 36 days away from here.

542

:

and he's breathing harder and harder.

543

:

And he says, we have to power the core on.

544

:

Nikolai, Mikhail, Demi.

545

:

And he points over to a box that you know contains the level five core key.

546

:

And he throws you his little cap key and asks you to go get it.

547

:

And he sits down and just starts working on the computer trying to.

548

:

find a way to see if he can send a signal out to the Trotsky.

549

:

It's just...

550

:

Yeah, I...

551

:

How long is the ship even rated for being underwater?

552

:

And for how long?

553

:

I...

554

:

It's just very concerning to me.

555

:

I mean, no, not really, but the pressure of atmosphere entry versus the pressure of the

sea, there's probably not a problem, but it does.

556

:

I mean, if you smell it in here, it smells like the fucking ocean and it smells like rust.

557

:

So there's a problem.

558

:

Probably just a matter of time.

559

:

Okay, yes, let's, we need to get this thing powered back up.

560

:

Yeah, get the key.

561

:

Yeah, open, who's opening the lock box.

562

:

Nikolai will do it.

563

:

Yeah, opens, there's no key in it.

564

:

There's no key.

565

:

what?

566

:

The captain goes over to the box and he, there's a small phone size terminal there and he

starts typing in some numbers and pulls up the log.

567

:

He's like, oh, Moan signed it out.

568

:

The engineer took the key.

569

:

I mean, I guess it's his key.

570

:

He manages the core, but we gotta get it and get this thing started.

571

:

yeah, let's go find him.

572

:

I don't know what he's doing or I...

573

:

Fuck, maybe he's crazed to like the chef.

574

:

I don't know.

575

:

Or he could maybe the chef.

576

:

And he's like spit balling all these possibilities.

577

:

But he's just like, yes, we need to go.

578

:

We need to, I don't know, take some weapons perhaps.

579

:

Be prepared.

580

:

Okay, Mikael, and he throws you his captain key.

581

:

It's like, you can open anything in the armory with this.

582

:

Yes, sir.

583

:

Okay, all right, I'm gonna try to keep the systems online and figure out what I can glean

from here.

584

:

And he flips on this power thing.

585

:

He's like, I'm gonna read some reroute power.

586

:

Are you going to the lower decks?

587

:

We need...

588

:

the armory is right next door,

589

:

Yeah, the armory is next door.

590

:

We need to go through the...

591

:

...Ele.

592

:

I'm assuming it's the electrical something.

593

:

Yeah.

594

:

And then we go through the engine bay.

595

:

So if we want to get the key ASAP, we need to go through all those first.

596

:

he Gives you the armory key and he types something out and you see some of the power dam

and few of the monitors shut off in this room and then You hear clicking below you in the

597

:

lower deck

598

:

clicking.

599

:

It's just lights coming out.

600

:

So yeah.

601

:

No, no, no.

602

:

usually

603

:

yeah.

604

:

Okay, yeah, you headed towards the armory.

605

:

Yeah, definitely.

606

:

Okay, yeah, you open the door and immediately some seawater sloshes in.

607

:

It just starts to fill up slightly the nav room and yeah, it's smelly, it smells rotten,

it smells like the ocean and dead animal.

608

:

You just heading on through.

609

:

Seems we're already compromised somehow.

610

:

Yeah, yeah, as you get in there, you open up and you're in the armory.

611

:

There are lockers with all of your stuff, right?

612

:

Whatever weapon you had brought along.

613

:

whatever armor is all there ready.

614

:

And there's a few extras for the other crew members.

615

:

It does look like Mahone's locker is open and his stuff is no longer in there.

616

:

And so is, or sorry, Ivan.

617

:

And then so is Alder's.

618

:

So the head scientist and the head engineer have taken their stuff.

619

:

Yeah, and you get in there.

620

:

Can somebody let's see actually all of you look are looking towards all this equipment.

621

:

You're about ready to open it up and in this low water you see some ripples go out from

where the lockers are and it looks like it's going around you toward your flank.

622

:

I got my whole stuff with me right now.

623

:

Okay.

624

:

We need to move fast.

625

:

Yeah.

626

:

Yeah.

627

:

what's going on in these waters.

628

:

Give me a speed save plus anything else you think you would throw onto it.

629

:

Let's go with athletics.

630

:

There we go.

631

:

Plus 10.

632

:

Yeah, 36 under 50.

633

:

Okay, you're able to get one locker open.

634

:

is that good, Tammy?

635

:

Okay.

636

:

I mean, I don't know if doubles are still crits or if we're doing that, but 33 over 30.

637

:

I always play the doubles or crits.

638

:

I know in this game it's like anything above 90 something or whatever, but we'll do

doubles.

639

:

Yeah, you're, I think you're still trying to recalibrate your system for water.

640

:

Like you have actually never been exposed to water and you're still kind of sussing that

out and seeing if it's going to damage your feet.

641

:

Okay.

642

:

Nikolai, are you running for the lockers too?

643

:

Yeah, against his better judgment, he's gonna do it.

644

:

lose my dice.

645

:

you

646

:

That is a two on the dice.

647

:

All right.

648

:

um

649

:

You, Mikhail and Nikolai, you charge these lockers.

650

:

Mikhail, you're able to just snap your lock open and you just reach over and get Nikolai's

open too.

651

:

And you're pulling something out.

652

:

You can grab one thing of your stuff right now.

653

:

What is it gonna be?

654

:

uh I want to see what's going on my chem light.

655

:

So my chem light, can just crack it and throw it in the water just to see what's going on.

656

:

Oh, beautiful.

657

:

Yeah, in this dim lit room, maybe you throw it over your shoulder and are turning at the

same time because you've seen this thing swimming around and it does sink a little bit

658

:

into the water.

659

:

You're in about six inches to a foot of water.

660

:

And from that chem light, you see something small and cylindrical, almost eel like that

looks translucent and black at the same time.

661

:

And it gets to the light and

662

:

and riches like wrenches its head back like that and starts to come out of the water

almost like a cobra coming out of a basket and its mouth opens and there's just a circular

663

:

row of teeth and another little second mouth opens behind that as it looks like it's about

to jump on you guys.

664

:

Nikolai, what are you grabbing from your?

665

:

Just say he has this hazard suit that's wears some armor and stuff so it's a big old bulk

of stuff that manages it's like just like the first thing that's hanging there and he's

666

:

like okay okay I got I got something

667

:

Okay, yeah, you will not have time to put on a suit, but you could put on a helmet or you

could hold it in front of you.

668

:

Yeah.

669

:

Yeah.

670

:

So like, yeah, you see him like, he throws on this helmet and then, yeah, this thing kind

of rears up and he's like looking at it through like the glass of his helmet and he's

671

:

like, God, what the hell?

672

:

Tammy, you're standing a little further back.

673

:

didn't run to the locker, but you do see this as well.

674

:

Can you all give me a, we'll do one more sanity.

675

:

Actually, sorry, we'll do fear, fear, fear.

676

:

Fail.

677

:

51 over 45, so no.

678

:

OK, so.

679

:

43 under 78.

680

:

Okay, so Tammy, you see them freeze as they've turned around and looked at this thing.

681

:

Nikolai is like pulling a helmet down further and further on his head and it's already on

him, but he's just like reaching it down.

682

:

And this thing pops up.

683

:

You can do one thing before it acts.

684

:

What do you wanna do, Tammy?

685

:

think she's going to chuck the spatula at it to try to harpoon it in a way.

686

:

Yeah, I mean, that feels like combat still, so go ahead and give me combat.

687

:

78 over 35.

688

:

Yeah, you see your local Android throw a spatula down and it slaps the water right next to

the thing.

689

:

It does hit it, but it's just the spatula, right?

690

:

So it kind of just goes like that.

691

:

And it does turn towards Tammy instead of jumping at you though, Mikael.

692

:

And so it is going to go now.

693

:

Six.

694

:

Okay.

695

:

So it jumps out of the water and you see the length of this thing is about four feet long

and its back is like spiny almost and it has like a strange sharp tail as it's flying and

696

:

it.

697

:

jumps onto Tammy, it's not able to get its teeth into her, but it is wrapping around her

arm trying to strike toward her face.

698

:

So you have this thing wrapped around one of your arms now Tammy, as it's trying to get to

you.

699

:

It is over to you guys, so you can choose how to act, or in what order you act and what

you do.

700

:

How fast can I pull out my machine gun and fire at it?

701

:

It's right there in your locker.

702

:

It's on Tammy, but you can give it a shot.

703

:

Yeah.

704

:

Sorry Tammy if I kill you.

705

:

Will, yeah I do have firearms so that upgrades it to 65 so we'll try.

706

:

Oh yeah 12.

707

:

Okay, I imagine you're just like, you just grab it out.

708

:

This is like instinct at this point.

709

:

In fact, that earlier fear has upped the ante for you.

710

:

It is like making you sharper and you shoot it once.

711

:

Can you roll damage on that?

712

:

Yeah, that's 4D10s.

713

:

Yeah, that's quite the machine gun.

714

:

16, 26, 27 damage.

715

:

27 damage.

716

:

Yeah.

717

:

It explodes.

718

:

Like you shoot.

719

:

I mean, you can narrate the shot.

720

:

You narrate the shot.

721

:

Like what is, you just hit it like it doesn't really have a head.

722

:

It's kind of all of that head, but like what.

723

:

essentially like pull the yank the gun out of the my locker cock it just pointed out

directly and fire like a few rounds at it.

724

:

It will pierce the the sides of it.

725

:

Not close to Tammy's face, but more towards like the end of it.

726

:

What rip it in half?

727

:

How big is this thing?

728

:

Like it's cylindrical like

729

:

yeah, exactly.

730

:

So.

731

:

it tears it in half at this point.

732

:

Yeah, you do that and it slaps, part of it slaps against the wall.

733

:

The blood hits the wall and starts to smoke a little bit and the rest of it hits in the

water and the water starts to bubble a little bit and it is kind of thrashing a little bit

734

:

and it's dead.

735

:

Nikolai, can you give me, you have Xeno something, right?

736

:

What do you got?

737

:

I could do exobiology.

738

:

I also have zoology, but I think, yeah, the exobiology, we could do that.

739

:

Yeah, give me that pleasure or your intellect plus that.

740

:

Yeah.

741

:

Wow.

742

:

85 over 75.

743

:

Do not know what this is.

744

:

Yeah, out of stress because this is very scary and you are, you have nothing to ground

your knowledge in this moment.

745

:

just I don't understand it shouldn't be like in this configuration for lack of a word.

746

:

It just doesn't make sense.

747

:

It's dead.

748

:

That's what's important.

749

:

Yeah, yes, It's the violence of nature.

750

:

uh

751

:

Tammy, the tail falls off your arm and yeah, you do see that something about it.

752

:

It's bleeding creates like heat, right?

753

:

And it is the wall has small pock marks in it to where it hit.

754

:

It's not eating through the hole or anything, but the water where it fell in at your feet

is boiling a little bit and then it stops, right?

755

:

And yeah, you're free to grab your stuff now if you guys want.

756

:

yeah, I will put on my battle dress and the rest of my equipment, is kind of a lot, but

that's why I got a rucksack, so.

757

:

Yeah, it takes you some time.

758

:

You guys get into your stuff.

759

:

Can somebody roll me a D4?

760

:

I

761

:

one.

762

:

Nikolai, as you've been putting on this suit, you're like, okay, I got my haz suit on,

feels good.

763

:

It's kind of like an old glove.

764

:

You were assigned this years ago by the collective and you're getting used to it.

765

:

Maybe you're grabbing your flamethrower finally.

766

:

And as you grab your flamethrower, you start to feel something in your chest pocket area

and

767

:

There's a bite almost like a, you're like almost like stung by a bee.

768

:

Can you give me a body save?

769

:

I will kill you.

770

:

Make no mistake about it.

771

:

ha ha ha.

772

:

uh

773

:

I think that's a 10 or a, yeah, yes, 10.

774

:

that's what I'm confused.

775

:

Please don't.

776

:

you

777

:

Well, the hundreds actually is zero in this game, so...

778

:

yeah, true.

779

:

different.

780

:

Yeah.

781

:

Great.

782

:

I just, yeah.

783

:

Yeah, so this thing is starting to try to chew through your chest skin and what do do to

stop it?

784

:

Um, I think I start grabbing at it, like, like just pulling it away and like taking off my

shirt and lab coat, whatever, like what the hell is in here?

785

:

He's just reaching all around frantically.

786

:

Yeah, and you reach down and it's like ripping a leech off of your skin.

787

:

And in fact, it pulls out a circle of skin like right here about this big, like almost

like a dollar, silver dollar sized.

788

:

me a D6 and take that and damage.

789

:

Peace.

790

:

Take us some damage.

791

:

in your hand.

792

:

What do you do with it?

793

:

It's like, what?

794

:

He's grabbing it.

795

:

Damn, he kind of wants to throw it up against the wall in frustration.

796

:

Yeah, you can do that.

797

:

Just, you just do it.

798

:

um Give me a 50-50 roll.

799

:

So D100.

800

:

Does it burrow in the wall or shall it splatter?

801

:

Five, okay, it slaps against the wall and you see some of the blood of it like hit, you're

able to throw it hard enough and it falls down dead into the water.

802

:

He's like, what the hell is that?

803

:

This whole ship is becoming infested.

804

:

But he's gonna look over at Tammy.

805

:

He's like, is this like what you saw?

806

:

Or is this something else?

807

:

He's kind of trying to point at whatever's left of its body.

808

:

Is it similar to the eel-like creature?

809

:

Looks like a tiny version of it, yeah.

810

:

yes, it does.

811

:

In fact, it kind of has some similar features and perhaps maybe there's a bunch of it's

babies or something.

812

:

Who knows?

813

:

God, these things could be all over the ship.

814

:

We're gonna have to be careful.

815

:

And fuck, like, we're, he looks down and he's like, we're standing in water.

816

:

It's, it's, take, ugh.

817

:

This containment's broken.

818

:

This is terrible.

819

:

Yeah.

820

:

Over the intercom, you hear it come to life.

821

:

And the captain is, uh, guys, do you want the good news or the bad news?

822

:

Or sorry, excuse me.

823

:

The were fucked news or the bad news.

824

:

Let's start with more positive, bad news first.

825

:

The bad news is I calculated the year and it would seem like we've been here for some

time.

826

:

In fact, looks like the other two, Bjorn woke up about a week ago, but Alder, well, they

woke up.

827

:

about 120 years ago.

828

:

Uh.

829

:

Can you make a panic save?

830

:

what about the worser news?

831

:

That we're fucked news, perhaps?

832

:

Sorry, that was a what?

833

:

Son of a bitch.

834

:

so panic, use a D20 and then you have to, yep.

835

:

I was like 24 over 20.

836

:

No.

837

:

Above your stress.

838

:

or above.

839

:

Okay.

840

:

16 over 4.

841

:

Okay.

842

:

Yeah, crit.

843

:

over 6.

844

:

Yeah, you start to feel little shaky with that news that you've been here over a hundred

years maybe, who knows exactly, maybe the captain's wrong.

845

:

In fact, that's the thought you attach.

846

:

That's impossible.

847

:

Like he's delusional.

848

:

His eyes messed up.

849

:

is there any way to tell if we've been at the bottom of the sea the whole time here or

wherever this is or maybe we were far off course for a while?

850

:

Well, I think we've been down here.

851

:

This is a part of the war fuck news.

852

:

For about 113 years.

853

:

That is a long time.

854

:

the ship is non-operational, but the two escape pods, if we can get power going, will be

sufficient.

855

:

Did you find the card, the key card to engineering?

856

:

was not in the box.

857

:

are still looking.

858

:

Okay.

859

:

were attacked by a snake.

860

:

This ship is infested.

861

:

You should be careful.

862

:

Little slugs and snakes and well, that's it so far, but.

863

:

Okay.

864

:

We're under water for sure, yes.

865

:

And these things are infesting the ship.

866

:

It's probably their home now.

867

:

He's gonna make a sand save.

868

:

23, all right.

869

:

Okay.

870

:

I suppose I'm not surprised with how bad today's going for me.

871

:

I mean us, so the collective.

872

:

But.

873

:

If you could hurry up, I would love to get one of those escape pods and be in space rather

than this watery tomb.

874

:

Yes, yes, yes, we'll get going here.

875

:

Yeah, you step, are you heading out from the armory?

876

:

You're all geared up, ready to go.

877

:

Yeah, I think he's gonna double check his um clothing and whatnot for more slugs.

878

:

And then he's gonna kind of like put on this hazard suit.

879

:

The flamethrower he has, there's like a little bit of like a backpack thing, you know, and

he's like, well, seems it only has one charge left, but anything big comes along.

880

:

Yeah.

881

:

Yeah, and then he's just got some common stuff in a backpack, you know, like, so he's

like, well, this is this will help a little bit.

882

:

Yeah, yeah, even the captain's like, I'm glad you brought your flamethrower then, Nikolai,

after you say the slug thing.

883

:

Tammy, what do you, do you have anything weapon wise?

884

:

You just gonna?

885

:

I do have a revolver.

886

:

I will also put on my hazard suit and I do have a first aid kit and a flashlight.

887

:

I'll also pick up the spatula I threw and a defibrillator as well.

888

:

Beautiful.

889

:

Alright, yeah, do you want to open the door going into electrical?

890

:

sure thing.

891

:

Yeah, yet you push the button, the door comes towards you.

892

:

It is quite dark in there and you can tell from the light that was or the glow stick thing

that was thrown in the armory that the wires are just like hanging down, right?

893

:

And

894

:

It's full of water.

895

:

You see tiny little sparks, nothing touching the water from where you can tell.

896

:

And the water is on the far end of the room as you kind of like look in there.

897

:

It seems like there's oil on top of it almost like there's a strange sheen to it.

898

:

And you.

899

:

Are you just stepping in like, what do you what do you do?

900

:

uh I have a ton of chemlights FYI, so I will you yeah.

901

:

just throwing them.

902

:

Yeah.

903

:

I went to Costco before.

904

:

Collective Costco.

905

:

Yes Yeah, you yeah, you toss the lights in they illuminate the room it the shadows look

like a mess of monstrous wires all over as these things kind of flicker to life and there

906

:

is a Corpse sitting above the water cross-legged but hunched over

907

:

on a console like he had crawled out of the water some time ago and you see a lunchbox

next to it with some MREs tore open and there is also like a box of cigarettes there.

908

:

Do I know who smoked on the ship?

909

:

Everybody smokes my man.

910

:

It's a cool thing to do.

911

:

uh Yeah, you know that you do know that uh Ivan the the engineer was he was a chain smoker

like everybody enjoyed cigarettes, but he specifically had a thing for them.

912

:

But you can approach his body if you want.

913

:

Sure

914

:

the entire floor covered with water or you just said just a section of it?

915

:

So it's like a catwalk.

916

:

So the bottom part is, and then when you step up to where the electrical consoles are and

like the controls for the electrical part, it is clear there if you step out of the water.

917

:

And that's where he's sitting is up by that electrical console leaned up against it.

918

:

and his, yeah, as you approach, you get closer, you see around his neck is a key.

919

:

like that level five core key on him and you see the lunchbox is open and there's a rotten

MRE coming out of it and yeah there's in his skeleton hand skeleton hand there is a

920

:

cigarette butt still

921

:

Obviously it's been.

922

:

long has he been dead?

923

:

All right.

924

:

Well, best guess, probably 113 years.

925

:

Yeah, yeah, you guys grabbing the necklace.

926

:

Yeah, and get the key off.

927

:

Yeah, you grab the necklace.

928

:

It's quite old.

929

:

Are you going to try to preserve the body or you just kind of like

930

:

No, I wouldn't rough up Ivan too much considering like defiling the dead is terrible,

so...

931

:

Yeah, so yeah, you gingerly pull it off.

932

:

Can you make a intellect roll?

933

:

Oh, yes, 30 under 32.

934

:

you're thinking the same thing, like how old is this body?

935

:

And as you're thinking that, you're kind of like looking at it and you get a closer look

and attached to some of the bones in his rib cage are these small barnacled, almost like,

936

:

almost like fossilized barnacled egg things just sprinkled out through.

937

:

the entirety of his body, right?

938

:

And they're all split open in various fashions.

939

:

It looks like he might've been an incubator or something for some of these.

940

:

got two Ivan, Ivan hatched eggs.

941

:

I'm assuming these are slugs we have been facing.

942

:

Go ahead and give me another fear save.

943

:

62.

944

:

Over 45.

945

:

Yeah, that's a fail.

946

:

I some stress.

947

:

So it's not just bills and death I gotta worry about, it's eggs.

948

:

Yes, the constants in life.

949

:

Tammy, did you pass?

950

:

was a fear check.

951

:

Yep.

952

:

Yes, 34 under 78.

953

:

Great.

954

:

Nikolai.

955

:

Yep.

956

:

Eight under 18.

957

:

So.

958

:

You guys are solid.

959

:

Okay.

960

:

Hey, what a day, right?

961

:

up in the science.

962

:

He's just like, you know, I cannot do a study here.

963

:

We don't have time, but I, yes, I'm pretty sure these are, they were using him as a

breeding ground and they may in fact use live bodies to, you know, almost like feed off

964

:

of, you know, and then they would hatch at a later time.

965

:

You also know that there are in the, in a part, sorry, let me get the name of it.

966

:

In the research lab, there are specimen containers that you could store specimens in if

you wanted.

967

:

So you do know that.

968

:

and

969

:

Yeah, so you have the key card, his body is there.

970

:

You also notice that there is a uncharged data pad sitting there.

971

:

Tammy could definitely reroute some power from her own power to charge it if you wanted to

see what's on there, but you can also just leave it.

972

:

Sure, yeah, I'll do that.

973

:

it.

974

:

Yeah, go ahead and roll me a d six of hit points or battery life that you would give up

for this.

975

:

tube.

976

:

Okay, yeah, so you...

977

:

spend some time here charging this data pad with one of your ports and you open it up and

it's just normal stuff like communications with family letters, journal entries.

978

:

He has an engineering log of checking everything out before you were on this mission.

979

:

And there's a note that he had meant to send to everybody's data pad that says,

980

:

whatever poor bastards wake up next.

981

:

I checked to telemetry.

982

:

The Trotsky is not in orbit.

983

:

The mothership's beacon is transmitting from the edge of the system.

984

:

The escape pods only hold a weeks worth of rations.

985

:

At sub-light speed, the drift to the Trotsky will take months, maybe.

986

:

The party doesn't ration for delays.

987

:

If you launch now, we'll starve in the dark.

988

:

I'm going to drag four crates of high-density MREs and use those.

989

:

And then there's a break.

990

:

And it says, in the storage, something happened to me.

991

:

I...

992

:

was attacked by something and I can feel it inside of me.

993

:

I'm having a hard time moving.

994

:

I feel like I'm drowning from the inside.

995

:

I'm sick.

996

:

The food is out of the storage.

997

:

Good luck, comrades.

998

:

And then your guess is he sat here until he was no longer smoking.

999

:

Do you, Tammy, you read that to them?

:

01:06:31,441 --> 01:06:32,472

I don't think she would.

:

01:06:32,472 --> 01:06:35,018

Yeah, Tammy can you make a panic save?

:

01:06:35,018 --> 01:06:39,538

programmed to, but yeah.

:

01:06:39,538 --> 01:06:40,478

Panic save.

:

01:06:40,478 --> 01:06:41,638

All right.

:

01:06:41,889 --> 01:06:42,969

What is that again?

:

01:06:42,969 --> 01:06:44,289

Remind me.

:

01:06:44,749 --> 01:06:46,989

That's a D20, right?

:

01:06:47,331 --> 01:06:50,592

Got a 10 over 6.

:

01:06:50,872 --> 01:06:52,964

Nice, beautiful.

:

01:06:53,605 --> 01:06:54,486

Yeah.

:

01:06:54,967 --> 01:06:57,780

Okay, yeah, you look this over.

:

01:06:57,780 --> 01:07:03,477

Mikhail, Nikolai, you're fudging around the room, maybe checking your gear a little bit.

:

01:07:03,477 --> 01:07:06,090

Tammy doesn't say much about it after it's booted on.

:

01:07:06,090 --> 01:07:11,826

Do you engage with Tammy about this or do you just say, like, what do you do next?

:

01:07:12,268 --> 01:07:17,599

will inform the bridge of us acquiring the key from Ivan.

:

01:07:17,850 --> 01:07:19,593

Good, good guys, thank you.

:

01:07:19,593 --> 01:07:21,514

That's a load off.

:

01:07:21,535 --> 01:07:25,251

You really just gotta get down to the.

:

01:07:25,502 --> 01:07:32,368

engineering area and then restart the the core and You should be good.

:

01:07:32,368 --> 01:07:34,432

You should be golden from there

:

01:07:35,433 --> 01:07:36,496

And he says,

:

01:07:36,748 --> 01:07:43,853

One thing is we have some time in space if we take those pots.

:

01:07:43,853 --> 01:07:53,298

We're gonna be out there for what I calculate to the nearest ship will be about two months

if I got the telemetry right.

:

01:07:53,579 --> 01:07:56,341

So I'm gonna see if I can find some food.

:

01:07:57,342 --> 01:08:04,794

Yes, we'll have to make sure we don't just die in space trading a watery grave for grave

in the deep dark.

:

01:08:04,794 --> 01:08:06,658

But we should hurry, yes.

:

01:08:06,909 --> 01:08:09,583

You should hurry because the ship's actually taking on water.

:

01:08:09,583 --> 01:08:12,035

um

:

01:08:12,035 --> 01:08:13,691

everywhere, yes.

:

01:08:13,943 --> 01:08:14,546

Yeah.

:

01:08:14,546 --> 01:08:14,947

Yeah.

:

01:08:14,947 --> 01:08:18,076

You so between engineering and

:

01:08:18,628 --> 01:08:22,179

the lab, there's that catwalk, right?

:

01:08:22,179 --> 01:08:30,021

And it goes further like in like the electrical and engineering are large, right?

:

01:08:30,021 --> 01:08:40,844

So you can go into engineering and it's just a huge, big, like huge, massive room with

things that power the ship, right?

:

01:08:40,844 --> 01:08:46,009

And it usually feeds into this, but below engineering is where the core is in

:

01:08:46,009 --> 01:08:47,481

the blast, right?

:

01:08:47,481 --> 01:08:52,487

And that down there, you have to go down through engineering to get

:

01:08:53,748 --> 01:08:55,041

So what do you guys do?

:

01:08:55,940 --> 01:08:57,335

Are you guys ready?

:

01:08:58,336 --> 01:09:00,820

Yes Comrade, always ready.

:

01:09:01,022 --> 01:09:01,902

Yes.

:

01:09:02,153 --> 01:09:04,278

Let's trudge forward.

:

01:09:05,064 --> 01:09:07,427

Sorry, let's just trudge forward.

:

01:09:07,427 --> 01:09:07,978

got this.

:

01:09:07,978 --> 01:09:14,613

You open from electrical to engineering and heat like the water mixed with the heat of the

core.

:

01:09:14,613 --> 01:09:18,528

I mean it's still there you just need to restart it but it's still giving off heat.

:

01:09:18,528 --> 01:09:21,670

It hits you almost like a humid room.

:

01:09:21,670 --> 01:09:28,236

You're like walking into a sauna and you start to sweat right and as you get in there

:

01:09:28,708 --> 01:09:31,831

I'm assuming, Mikael, you're throwing your stuff.

:

01:09:31,972 --> 01:09:32,672

Okay.

:

01:09:32,672 --> 01:09:33,023

Yeah.

:

01:09:33,023 --> 01:09:35,875

You light up parts of the room, right?

:

01:09:36,095 --> 01:09:41,620

And you see a massive hole in the ground or a massive hatch in the ground.

:

01:09:41,620 --> 01:09:43,182

And that goes down to the core.

:

01:09:43,182 --> 01:09:53,871

And next to that, there are three MRE crates and you looks, they look like they're covered

in

:

01:09:54,699 --> 01:09:57,111

some sort of carapace type stuff.

:

01:09:57,111 --> 01:10:10,211

You see the corner of one and you know that it's marked as the MRE and there are just

strange resin, almost like a shell around one side of it.

:

01:10:11,213 --> 01:10:14,051

We'll reach out to command once more.

:

01:10:14,051 --> 01:10:15,904

We found food.

:

01:10:16,155 --> 01:10:21,580

Great, when the chorus on, we'll have to drag it to the pods.

:

01:10:21,778 --> 01:10:27,499

does not look safe however it has carapace over it

:

01:10:27,905 --> 01:10:30,239

Mikhail, you got my hopes up for a second.

:

01:10:30,239 --> 01:10:32,314

Now, start with the bad news, please.

:

01:10:32,314 --> 01:10:35,608

Okay, so can we get it off?

:

01:10:36,609 --> 01:10:37,953

I will try.

:

01:10:38,593 --> 01:10:47,368

And I still have that knife just to see if it's a solid carapace or is it just like a

gooey mess that I could just peel off.

:

01:10:47,619 --> 01:10:48,680

It's a mix.

:

01:10:48,680 --> 01:11:00,488

The first layer of it is very soft and then it gets down to something more crunchy and

you're wiggling it around and you notice that it is coming up from this hatch hole.

:

01:11:00,488 --> 01:11:05,725

There is that crusty slimy stuff and it's coming out from it.

:

01:11:05,725 --> 01:11:07,442

It's not totally closed.

:

01:11:07,442 --> 01:11:14,298

It's been a jar a little bit and it's just kind of covering and spreading out to here and

it

:

01:11:14,298 --> 01:11:27,760

Honestly spreads all the way back to the back of the ship where the lab the Psy lab is and

it's covering the ground even there and as you're you're twitching it can you Let's see

:

01:11:28,291 --> 01:11:31,349

Give me a strength plus something if you want.

:

01:11:32,160 --> 01:11:33,624

sure with athletics, I guess.

:

01:11:33,624 --> 01:11:35,768

um

:

01:11:35,923 --> 01:11:39,403

No, 65 over 50.

:

01:11:40,583 --> 01:11:43,223

More stress, more stress.

:

01:11:44,224 --> 01:11:52,785

Yeah, you are just really trying to get it off there and it's the squishy nature of it

that you keep slipping.

:

01:11:52,785 --> 01:11:57,665

You can't get it into the harder part that's below to snap it off.

:

01:11:57,665 --> 01:12:00,285

Nikolai or Tammy, are you guys helping at all?

:

01:12:00,537 --> 01:12:02,679

I mean, I've got spatulas.

:

01:12:03,494 --> 01:12:04,650

I think,

:

01:12:04,650 --> 01:12:06,216

Hell yeah, I they would come in handy.

:

01:12:06,216 --> 01:12:07,027

too.

:

01:12:07,134 --> 01:12:15,634

So he's like, I think he's gonna start looking at it like, look, this stuff seems to just

be everywhere.

:

01:12:15,885 --> 01:12:19,505

I don't know if we can really get it off or not.

:

01:12:20,506 --> 01:12:25,397

He's just like kind of focused on like the lab and the core and everything else.

:

01:12:25,397 --> 01:12:27,004

And he's like this, I don't know.

:

01:12:27,004 --> 01:12:36,259

I feel like whatever's made a home here or perhaps something that was in the lab is just

feeding off all of this.

:

01:12:36,259 --> 01:12:38,161

Probably has been doing so for years.

:

01:12:38,161 --> 01:12:40,233

I hope it's not still here.

:

01:12:41,234 --> 01:12:43,145

Yeah, Tammy, what are you doing?

:

01:12:43,145 --> 01:12:44,952

Are you gonna help Mikael?

:

01:12:45,203 --> 01:12:46,788

I can certainly try.

:

01:12:46,788 --> 01:12:53,667

um

:

01:12:53,808 --> 01:12:56,612

now, the same roll, if you wanna use strength.

:

01:12:56,750 --> 01:12:57,522

Sure.

:

01:12:57,773 --> 01:12:59,999

That'll also be strength for me as well.

:

01:13:02,019 --> 01:13:02,853

I'm just, okay.

:

01:13:02,853 --> 01:13:03,336

style.

:

01:13:03,336 --> 01:13:04,196

Yeah.

:

01:13:04,447 --> 01:13:11,947

That is 40 under 50 in this case.

:

01:13:12,280 --> 01:13:18,184

Beautiful you pop off a big piece of it and you're able to grab one crate and just

:

01:13:18,184 --> 01:13:27,959

rip it out of it right it's like this like and some slime comes off of it as it's pulling

away and you shake the box free you know that in here it's all vacuum packed and sealed so

:

01:13:27,959 --> 01:13:39,466

you're hoping nothing has got in there and you push off the first box there are two others

that you can work on but before you do that you Nikolai further down towards the Scilab

:

01:13:39,466 --> 01:13:40,519

you see

:

01:13:40,519 --> 01:13:54,608

some things coming up out of the thin amount of water and you see below that water there's

more eggs down there and some of them start to pop open and small tiny little creatures

:

01:13:54,608 --> 01:13:55,749

start to swim out.

:

01:13:55,749 --> 01:13:58,991

Your estimation is you see about six tiny ones.

:

01:13:59,244 --> 01:14:01,499

Guys, I think they're coming alive.

:

01:14:01,499 --> 01:14:05,306

These things, whatever they are.

:

01:14:05,306 --> 01:14:09,462

This is just a breeding ground.

:

01:14:09,783 --> 01:14:11,215

It's a breeding ground.

:

01:14:12,085 --> 01:14:25,571

Yeah, Tammy, you look up and you see about six, three on one side and three on the other

as they're starting to swim towards you under the water.

:

01:14:26,151 --> 01:14:32,375

And I'll let you guys go first since these are adolescents and slower probably.

:

01:14:32,375 --> 01:14:38,758

Are you guys gonna try to coordinate something or are just going, everyone going off at

once?

:

01:14:39,759 --> 01:14:43,019

Should kill them with spatula, yes.

:

01:14:43,270 --> 01:14:44,370

It's like all he's got.

:

01:14:44,370 --> 01:14:46,890

He's like, I gotta kill these things.

:

01:14:47,141 --> 01:14:50,641

So if one gets close to him, maybe he approaches it a little bit.

:

01:14:50,641 --> 01:14:55,761

He's just like trying to whack it with the spatula.

:

01:14:55,841 --> 01:14:56,801

if he can.

:

01:14:57,551 --> 01:15:01,434

I'll let you use your jury rig on your combat for that.

:

01:15:01,434 --> 01:15:02,566

Yeah.

:

01:15:02,817 --> 01:15:04,113

Let's rig something together.

:

01:15:04,113 --> 01:15:05,677

Three, three on the die.

:

01:15:05,677 --> 01:15:08,146

um Look at that.

:

01:15:08,791 --> 01:15:11,639

So roll me a spatula, a D6.

:

01:15:11,639 --> 01:15:13,902

uh

:

01:15:13,902 --> 01:15:16,404

spatula is stronger than a fist in this game?

:

01:15:16,404 --> 01:15:17,995

I didn't know that shit.

:

01:15:18,956 --> 01:15:20,758

Yeah, some King's spatulas.

:

01:15:20,758 --> 01:15:21,789

Give me those.

:

01:15:21,789 --> 01:15:22,719

right.

:

01:15:22,760 --> 01:15:24,891

He's like added like a weight to one end.

:

01:15:24,891 --> 01:15:28,644

So when he hits at it, it's, um, it's harder.

:

01:15:29,018 --> 01:15:30,498

Um, one damage.

:

01:15:30,498 --> 01:15:31,223

All right.

:

01:15:31,223 --> 01:15:40,881

Yeah, it's so small, you hit it and like it just basically like gets squished under the

water and you push down in there.

:

01:15:40,881 --> 01:15:45,757

And yeah, you start to see like a little bit of a sizzle and it kind of mars your spatula.

:

01:15:45,757 --> 01:15:46,917

Who's next?

:

01:15:47,732 --> 01:15:52,452

Do we have some form of fuel that we could just pour over these suckers and light them up?

:

01:15:53,453 --> 01:15:56,087

Nikolai go ahead Tammy

:

01:15:56,087 --> 01:15:56,727

fire...

:

01:15:56,727 --> 01:15:58,984

um...

:

01:15:58,984 --> 01:15:59,905

flamethrower?

:

01:15:59,905 --> 01:16:02,652

Yeah, I don't, but Nikolai does.

:

01:16:02,652 --> 01:16:06,156

have a flamethrower, but like limited ammunition.

:

01:16:06,156 --> 01:16:07,457

um

:

01:16:07,920 --> 01:16:13,564

yeah, I would say if you want, is the engineering bay.

:

01:16:13,564 --> 01:16:17,005

There's probably some sort of fuel somewhere.

:

01:16:17,066 --> 01:16:22,187

So you can make a speed check to go run and find something.

:

01:16:22,187 --> 01:16:23,742

Yep, sure, I will.

:

01:16:24,743 --> 01:16:29,942

I will use athletics and that just makes it 42 under 50.

:

01:16:29,942 --> 01:16:33,582

All right, yeah, you're snapping to it.

:

01:16:33,582 --> 01:16:34,642

You're a Marine.

:

01:16:34,642 --> 01:16:39,202

like, you turn, you see the little things and you're just like, oh shit, we need fire.

:

01:16:39,402 --> 01:16:41,802

And you see it far away.

:

01:16:41,802 --> 01:16:46,342

You can use your turn to run and grab it and get it halfway back.

:

01:16:46,342 --> 01:16:48,702

And then that's about it.

:

01:16:48,702 --> 01:16:50,254

Or is that what you choose to do?

:

01:16:51,007 --> 01:17:01,798

Yeah, you go a medium amount of distance grab it and there is like it's like a small

little canister That's almost like an aerosol release that you could snap and it would

:

01:17:01,799 --> 01:17:08,666

spray Fuel all over and you could light that and it would light the surface of the water

on fire probably

:

01:17:08,917 --> 01:17:10,656

Okay, Tammy, what are you doing?

:

01:17:11,640 --> 01:17:20,395

I will also dawn on the spatula and try to do the same thing as Nikolai.

:

01:17:20,395 --> 01:17:21,827

like, oh, here we go.

:

01:17:21,827 --> 01:17:22,919

All right, I can do that.

:

01:17:22,919 --> 01:17:29,006

Yeah, you come charging in with your spatula in a very Android way, very calculated.

:

01:17:29,006 --> 01:17:30,687

Go ahead and give me a combat.

:

01:17:31,688 --> 01:17:34,888

Oh, that's 35 meets 35.

:

01:17:35,008 --> 01:17:37,707

Okay, we're gonna call that good.

:

01:17:37,971 --> 01:17:39,063

That's it.

:

01:17:39,314 --> 01:17:41,654

And do I need a D6 then?

:

01:17:41,905 --> 01:17:42,992

Give me a D6.

:

01:17:44,926 --> 01:17:46,686

Nope, not 16.

:

01:17:47,196 --> 01:17:48,936

D16, yep.

:

01:17:49,835 --> 01:17:52,002

Ooh, got a six.

:

01:17:52,696 --> 01:17:54,723

Samurai spatula.

:

01:17:54,845 --> 01:18:00,929

you come down and obliterate it and you're automatically up out of the water ready for one

more.

:

01:18:00,929 --> 01:18:02,820

And it is their turn.

:

01:18:02,820 --> 01:18:09,834

Nikolai, make me a body save as one of them comes.

:

01:18:09,834 --> 01:18:13,526

Well, actually here, let me roll something real quick.

:

01:18:13,777 --> 01:18:18,211

It's gonna see, we can see it gonna see if it gets into your suit somehow.

:

01:18:18,884 --> 01:18:21,227

86, so no, it does not.

:

01:18:21,227 --> 01:18:25,860

It's sitting on the side of your has suit, just trying to burrow in.

:

01:18:25,860 --> 01:18:28,602

Its teeth are starting to chew at it a little bit.

:

01:18:28,602 --> 01:18:32,075

You feel a little bit of water leaking in, but it does not get all the way through.

:

01:18:32,856 --> 01:18:37,379

And then two other ones are coming towards you, Tammy, similar.

:

01:18:38,380 --> 01:18:49,160

44 which is over and a crit failure in fact that one tries to come up and you just stomp

on it like and it is gone and A 91 all right.

:

01:18:49,160 --> 01:18:59,460

Yeah, it's trying to get through your suit, it does not and Two of the other ones are

coming your way Mikael, but they cannot reach you yet

:

01:19:00,461 --> 01:19:01,939

It's your guys's turn.

:

01:19:01,939 --> 01:19:03,654

Yeah, light them up.

:

01:19:03,940 --> 01:19:06,281

Yeah, describe what you're trying to do, Mikael.

:

01:19:06,281 --> 01:19:16,788

uh So it's a it's a aerosol can so it was essentially like throw it where I can on the

water and Well, I'm assuming everyone has a lighter a Zippo or something and there's

:

01:19:16,788 --> 01:19:20,580

something in my Yeah, everyone smokes.

:

01:19:20,580 --> 01:19:32,378

It's only The cool move of like the cigarette falling into the in the the fuel now it's

I'll just light it up and just throw the the fuel

:

01:19:32,943 --> 01:19:36,595

Yeah, so I'll let you throw the fuel, right?

:

01:19:36,595 --> 01:19:41,640

And then if Nikolai or Tammy wants to light it, they'll have to light it.

:

01:19:41,640 --> 01:19:43,982

So, but let's see how successful this is.

:

01:19:43,982 --> 01:19:49,766

Give me a combat still and you can, you can add your athletics to it as well.

:

01:19:50,767 --> 01:19:53,032

My turn to have a double seven.

:

01:19:53,032 --> 01:19:53,823

Swear to God.

:

01:19:53,823 --> 01:19:54,374

Yeah.

:

01:19:54,374 --> 01:19:55,287

Yeah.

:

01:19:55,287 --> 01:19:59,139

So you pop this aerosol part off and it's like spraying fuel.

:

01:19:59,139 --> 01:20:00,760

You're keeping it out like that.

:

01:20:00,760 --> 01:20:12,637

You throw it toward the two that are coming towards you and it starts spiraling out and

spinning all around and it's covering a lot of where you think these like little sack eggs

:

01:20:12,637 --> 01:20:13,266

are.

:

01:20:13,266 --> 01:20:15,800

It looks like quite successful at that.

:

01:20:15,800 --> 01:20:20,082

Nikolai, you see this thing cringing through the air and spraying fuel everywhere.

:

01:20:20,082 --> 01:20:21,018

It's a little bit.

:

01:20:21,018 --> 01:20:27,655

you know, it's a little bit of a distance from you, but it's also pretty close, so you

might wanna step away.

:

01:20:27,655 --> 01:20:30,410

Are you or Tammy gonna like this?

:

01:20:31,412 --> 01:20:33,978

Um, I would, yes.

:

01:20:34,229 --> 01:20:36,279

kind of like seeing what he's doing.

:

01:20:36,279 --> 01:20:38,371

He's like, yeah, let's do this.

:

01:20:38,931 --> 01:20:40,852

Set this thing on fire.

:

01:20:40,852 --> 01:20:47,496

I don't, um I mean, he also has like an electronic tool set.

:

01:20:47,496 --> 01:20:56,120

So I'd like to imagine like there's some little like tiny spark maker torch thing going on

in there that he's able to get going.

:

01:20:56,389 --> 01:20:58,982

And then he's just like, kaboom.

:

01:20:59,548 --> 01:21:07,388

Yeah, you have a thing that creates like a little arc of electricity between it, like a

little uh thumb tester and like that.

:

01:21:08,630 --> 01:21:10,072

Yeah, yeah, exactly.

:

01:21:10,072 --> 01:21:11,454

Yeah, yeah.

:

01:21:11,454 --> 01:21:14,737

And so do you just touch the water where you think the fuel is?

:

01:21:15,148 --> 01:21:19,083

Yeah, yeah, he just goes at it in his haste.

:

01:21:19,102 --> 01:21:27,562

You see the flames, it's not an explosion or anything, but it just kind of slowly ripples

over the water and starts heating the water up.

:

01:21:27,562 --> 01:21:32,022

And you do see these things starting to boil under them.

:

01:21:32,022 --> 01:21:34,442

Can you roll me a 3D tin?

:

01:21:34,693 --> 01:21:35,459

it's

:

01:21:36,460 --> 01:21:41,055

Okay, so four, 10, and.

:

01:21:41,306 --> 01:21:43,818

Three, so that's 17.

:

01:21:43,978 --> 01:21:59,044

17 the carapace part of all of this stuff starts to catch to and heat up and starts to

burn and You start to hear the egg sacs go And pop under it as you've annihilated this

:

01:21:59,044 --> 01:22:04,007

part of this creeping carapace and the eggs under it

:

01:22:04,688 --> 01:22:08,692

but it is on fire and it's creeping towards the research lab.

:

01:22:08,692 --> 01:22:12,617

So we're out of combat as these things are getting cooked.

:

01:22:12,617 --> 01:22:18,172

Are you gonna try to get to that research lab before the fire or manage the fire in some

way?

:

01:22:19,173 --> 01:22:27,351

uh I mean if up to me I would control it so it would only hit the the bug part of it.

:

01:22:27,602 --> 01:22:47,420

not how fire works but yeah yeah yeah it's it's not spreading fast you can make it there

but it is it's you know the clock's ticking unless you want to try to put it out there is

:

01:22:47,676 --> 01:22:54,010

anti-fire gear all over that you can, or basically fire extinguishers from the future if

you want to.

:

01:22:54,010 --> 01:22:58,024

well, do we do would we know if the bugs are dead?

:

01:22:58,024 --> 01:23:01,897

And if so, then yes, I would put it the fire out.

:

01:23:02,192 --> 01:23:08,775

Nikolai, go ahead and give me that Xeno or Exobiology rule again with your intellect.

:

01:23:09,028 --> 01:23:20,624

off the top of his head, Nikolai is like so freaked out that he's inclined to let it burn,

but yeah, 32 under 75, so.

:

01:23:21,129 --> 01:23:26,774

You say, let's give it five minutes, let it burn a little bit and then let's put it out.

:

01:23:26,871 --> 01:23:28,295

Yeah, sure.

:

01:23:28,516 --> 01:23:37,363

Maybe these, when these things boil, they will cook the egg enough so that it is not no

longer able to hatch.

:

01:23:38,109 --> 01:23:40,496

Maybe you can use it as uh some food later.

:

01:23:40,496 --> 01:23:41,447

Yeah.

:

01:23:43,242 --> 01:23:46,174

The way the blood was sizzling off the walls?

:

01:23:46,174 --> 01:23:47,479

I don't think so.

:

01:23:47,479 --> 01:23:49,324

I don't think we want to eat that.

:

01:23:49,917 --> 01:23:51,978

Yeah, true.

:

01:23:51,978 --> 01:23:55,469

keep an eye on the fire to make sure it doesn't spread too far.

:

01:23:55,469 --> 01:23:58,111

But perhaps we can take a quick look at this lab.

:

01:23:58,111 --> 01:24:02,593

There may be something to help with any more of these creatures.

:

01:24:02,593 --> 01:24:06,835

And then we should also get to the core in time.

:

01:24:07,709 --> 01:24:20,583

Yeah, so Tammy, you do see a, there is a console that has been powered on in engineering

and you can check the, if you, you have computers, right?

:

01:24:20,583 --> 01:24:23,824

Or mathematics?

:

01:24:23,824 --> 01:24:24,584

Yeah.

:

01:24:24,584 --> 01:24:26,305

So, okay, great.

:

01:24:26,305 --> 01:24:31,588

So you can use your computers to assess the core and what it needs.

:

01:24:34,092 --> 01:24:39,152

I rolled a 47 under 51 if it's intellect, I assume.

:

01:24:40,292 --> 01:24:41,512

Or, yeah.

:

01:24:41,512 --> 01:24:43,712

Plus 10 would be 61, technically.

:

01:24:43,892 --> 01:24:46,032

So, 47 under 61.

:

01:24:46,852 --> 01:24:47,743

All right.

:

01:24:47,743 --> 01:24:53,389

You pull up the diagnostics and there is, there's a strange reading.

:

01:24:53,869 --> 01:25:03,920

You think that the, something has interrupted the arc between the reactor and the thing

that powers the ship, the relay, right?

:

01:25:03,920 --> 01:25:04,760

And

:

01:25:04,865 --> 01:25:17,539

there's not much information on it other than the connection is interrupted and the

reactor will basically go into almost like a hibernation mode after it is interrupted and

:

01:25:17,539 --> 01:25:20,091

shut down most of the power systems to the ship.

:

01:25:20,091 --> 01:25:29,114

You think if you can get rid of that interruption down there that you can restart the

reactor and get full power back.

:

01:25:30,115 --> 01:25:31,387

Sounds good.

:

01:25:32,725 --> 01:25:35,898

I, yes, I will relay that to the others.

:

01:25:36,900 --> 01:25:38,442

OK, let's find out.

:

01:25:38,463 --> 01:25:41,407

We should find out what this interruption is.

:

01:25:41,658 --> 01:25:45,434

I have sneaking suspicion we will find out very soon.

:

01:25:45,434 --> 01:25:54,294

Well, I mean, perhaps it's, you know, it could be more of this carapace, like whatever's

growing here.

:

01:25:54,894 --> 01:26:00,534

Or maybe it's just, I don't know, maybe it's something worse.

:

01:26:00,785 --> 01:26:04,345

Yeah, you were on the way to the research lab, right, Nikolai, in the back?

:

01:26:04,345 --> 01:26:05,427

Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.

:

01:26:05,427 --> 01:26:07,741

That's what I'd actually like to do, be doing.

:

01:26:07,741 --> 01:26:15,614

um Maybe there's some chemicals or something to help us defend ourselves or something

useful.

:

01:26:15,866 --> 01:26:32,393

Yeah, you open up the door to the lab and the door you have to push it to open it because

it is got all this weird stuff this carapace stuff on it and it cracks as you push it open

:

01:26:32,393 --> 01:26:37,606

and the lab opens up and it's remarkably clean compared to the rest of the ship.

:

01:26:37,606 --> 01:26:40,479

It was like somebody was caring for it in here.

:

01:26:41,048 --> 01:26:48,853

And you know, as your eye looks through in the corner, it's dark, but the lights are

starting to flicker on a little bit.

:

01:26:48,853 --> 01:26:57,561

You see that there is a large glass case that shattered on the ground and half of it

submerged in the water there.

:

01:26:57,561 --> 01:27:05,124

And the edges of it are melted with some sort of corrosive heat, like something burned

through part of it.

:

01:27:05,744 --> 01:27:18,756

and there's a bench and a lot of the there's a bunch of notes all over the place looks

like maybe Alder the scientist was doing some stuff in here you know who knows how long

:

01:27:18,756 --> 01:27:27,781

he's been awake or where he is but you you see like his notes spread out everywhere and

there are two more hazard suits

:

01:27:28,438 --> 01:27:33,805

hanging if you if you need those you do find some fuel as well.

:

01:27:34,807 --> 01:27:46,685

So I think Nikolai would kind of like take a look at the notes, like just offhanded, kind

of maybe take a brief moment to see if he can glean anything from what, you know, these

:

01:27:46,685 --> 01:27:56,692

notes, you know, that are relevant to the last 113 years or more recent, you know, time,

what's been going on around here.

:

01:27:57,517 --> 01:27:58,043

Mm-hmm.

:

01:27:58,043 --> 01:27:58,992

Yeah, you...

:

01:27:58,992 --> 01:27:59,612

go ahead, sir.

:

01:27:59,612 --> 01:28:12,234

in looking at that broken container and the melting corrosiveness, like, and wondering if

he's putting two and two together and wondering if, like, if these things were actually on

:

01:28:12,234 --> 01:28:19,600

the ship and it was our own fault that they were unleashed or if these little leech things

are, in fact, part of the planet's ecosystem.

:

01:28:20,093 --> 01:28:23,655

Yeah, yeah, those are all great questions.

:

01:28:23,655 --> 01:28:37,024

And as you're digging through the files, one of the files is a printout, just a small like

note card size piece of paper that would come from an old analog printer used to print

:

01:28:37,024 --> 01:28:37,945

small things.

:

01:28:37,945 --> 01:28:42,527

And there, I will put it in the discord real quick.

:

01:28:43,528 --> 01:28:47,018

You can read this or if you want me to read it, I'll read it.

:

01:28:48,060 --> 01:28:48,822

no.

:

01:28:48,822 --> 01:29:05,501

so it says file one corporate intercept year 04 redacted planet MT dash two six six seated

with pathogen strain seven local parasitic eels show 900 % growth in gestation speed and

:

01:29:05,501 --> 01:29:07,492

aggressive adaptation.

:

01:29:07,492 --> 01:29:10,494

The asset is viable quarantine the planet.

:

01:29:10,494 --> 01:29:12,414

Let the chimera breed.

:

01:29:12,666 --> 01:29:16,283

think his eyes get wide as he reads this.

:

01:29:16,534 --> 01:29:23,503

Yeah, you see also there is just a header in it.

:

01:29:23,503 --> 01:29:35,794

Whatever the subject of this was missing, now that you've seen Chimera, you can find this

titled on one of the files, little note card files that are strewn about.

:

01:29:36,795 --> 01:29:48,343

And this one reads to Alder Kopatsky, head scientist from central committee, directorate

of asymmetric warfare, subject, the chimera payload.

:

01:29:49,344 --> 01:29:51,859

Mikhail, did you go into this room with him?

:

01:29:52,861 --> 01:29:53,965

I think I would.

:

01:29:53,965 --> 01:29:55,872

I would have at least escorted him in.

:

01:29:55,872 --> 01:30:00,648

Yeah, and maybe you're doing this while Tammy's on the computer or Tammy are you with them

as well?

:

01:30:01,649 --> 01:30:06,195

I would also be in the lab, I think.

:

01:30:06,631 --> 01:30:07,471

great.

:

01:30:08,091 --> 01:30:15,611

Yeah, you find a console and do you wanna use your computers again to see what you can

find?

:

01:30:15,611 --> 01:30:16,445

Great.

:

01:30:16,445 --> 01:30:17,392

Yeah.

:

01:30:18,012 --> 01:30:21,835

Yeah, you are typing away.

:

01:30:21,835 --> 01:30:27,940

It does look like Kopotsky had encrypted anything of his own on here.

:

01:30:27,940 --> 01:30:33,011

So can you roll it with disadvantage, but you can add your computer intellect.

:

01:30:33,011 --> 01:30:33,783

Yeah.

:

01:30:34,034 --> 01:30:41,614

So that's one roll 42, another roll 66, which 66 is over 61.

:

01:30:42,048 --> 01:30:53,244

Okay, yeah, you're You can't get in like you're trying your hardest but Nothing, no

bypass, you know is working to get through his encryption.

:

01:30:53,244 --> 01:30:54,611

He was very smart guy.

:

01:30:54,611 --> 01:31:01,677

He was the head scientist Yeah So you are unable to get any more info any more

information?

:

01:31:02,058 --> 01:31:07,306

Mikhail, you find another file that seems like it's referencing to this.

:

01:31:07,306 --> 01:31:09,288

If you want to read that, can or I can.

:

01:31:09,539 --> 01:31:10,395

Sure.

:

01:31:10,647 --> 01:31:16,893

File two, collective directive to Kopatsky, year one of voyage.

:

01:31:17,144 --> 01:31:24,131

Comrade Kopatsky, the corporate dog builds, sorry.

:

01:31:24,131 --> 01:31:32,098

Comrade Kopatsky, the com, the corporate dog builds weapon while we starve.

:

01:31:32,349 --> 01:31:39,063

You are tasked with retrieving a live sample of the MT-266 Chimera.

:

01:31:39,063 --> 01:31:40,244

Study it.

:

01:31:40,424 --> 01:31:41,584

Tame it.

:

01:31:42,105 --> 01:31:50,548

If the collective can harness this aggressive biology, we will no longer need to fear the

corporate blockades.

:

01:31:50,799 --> 01:31:54,592

We will unleash it on their core worlds.

:

01:31:54,592 --> 01:31:56,953

Do not fail the party.

:

01:31:57,954 --> 01:32:08,572

So reading that as a collective man, Mikhail and Nikolai, do you think you would try to

bring some of this back with you?

:

01:32:08,572 --> 01:32:09,773

Do you think you would leave it?

:

01:32:09,773 --> 01:32:11,853

how are you feeling about this now?

:

01:32:12,854 --> 01:32:16,237

I Mikael has always been a man of the people.

:

01:32:16,237 --> 01:32:20,161

So if everyone wins, I mean, technically we all win.

:

01:32:20,161 --> 01:32:25,540

yeah, if we can come up on top of this, she'd be okay with it.

:

01:32:25,540 --> 01:32:25,821

Okay.

:

01:32:25,821 --> 01:32:26,701

Yeah.

:

01:32:27,664 --> 01:32:28,426

Third space.

:

01:32:28,426 --> 01:32:28,731

Okay.

:

01:32:28,731 --> 01:32:29,912

be indifferent.

:

01:32:29,912 --> 01:32:41,207

Like he'd be like, you know, this, it doesn't shock him at all that they were doing

science for the purpose of getting weapons and making money off of this alien life.

:

01:32:41,207 --> 01:32:43,009

So he's not surprised by any of it.

:

01:32:43,009 --> 01:32:49,054

And then he's like, well, if we can, if we can survive while doing this, then so be it.

:

01:32:49,305 --> 01:32:59,380

Cause I think he knows the only reason he can do all this science stuff is that other

corporations and collectives and governments pay for it.

:

01:32:59,380 --> 01:33:03,044

You know, like this is the only way he gets to do what he likes to do.

:

01:33:03,556 --> 01:33:16,660

Yeah, you see the utility of it and are like, this opens up options for me and it's very

individualistic, but you're hiding that from your friend, Mikhail, it seems like.

:

01:33:16,660 --> 01:33:22,626

But yeah, this does give you some stuff to think about, some stuff to do, right?

:

01:33:22,877 --> 01:33:25,519

Kimmy, I sent you a message in Discord.

:

01:33:26,520 --> 01:33:34,935

Okay, so there are three specimen tanks that are unfilled beside this broken one.

:

01:33:34,935 --> 01:33:36,746

You investigated the other one.

:

01:33:36,746 --> 01:33:40,018

Can you give me your exobiology, Nicola?

:

01:33:41,019 --> 01:33:44,419

Oh, 88 over 75.

:

01:33:44,725 --> 01:33:48,659

Man, maybe it's the cryo sickness still.

:

01:33:48,659 --> 01:33:52,494

You are just not, this is your thing, but you're just like, what's going on?

:

01:33:52,494 --> 01:33:55,335

Like, I just can't get a thumb over it.

:

01:33:56,336 --> 01:34:06,487

All right, so you're looking around and the last thing of note is another, this one's

handwritten.

:

01:34:07,158 --> 01:34:09,447

And put it here.

:

01:34:10,448 --> 01:34:12,831

somebody give me, read that for me.

:

01:34:13,082 --> 01:34:14,523

Whoever finds it.

:

01:34:15,135 --> 01:34:16,056

Sure.

:

01:34:16,307 --> 01:34:17,928

They wanted a weapon.

:

01:34:18,169 --> 01:34:20,010

They didn't understand it.

:

01:34:20,531 --> 01:34:22,492

No, they didn't understand.

:

01:34:23,093 --> 01:34:24,533

It's not a weapon.

:

01:34:24,934 --> 01:34:27,135

It's an evolution.

:

01:34:27,386 --> 01:34:29,067

I brought one aboard.

:

01:34:29,688 --> 01:34:31,569

I let it into my suit.

:

01:34:32,310 --> 01:34:34,271

The pain was fleeting.

:

01:34:34,592 --> 01:34:37,994

Now the mother is inside me.

:

01:34:38,855 --> 01:34:42,678

She speaks in the warmth of the reactor.

:

01:34:43,459 --> 01:34:45,390

The party wants equality.

:

01:34:45,641 --> 01:34:49,132

She makes us all equal in the flesh.

:

01:34:49,684 --> 01:34:53,298

We are all just meat for the nursery.

:

01:34:53,549 --> 01:34:54,610

Creeped!

:

01:34:55,541 --> 01:35:00,010

I'm assuming you read that out loud to everybody.

:

01:35:01,636 --> 01:35:05,021

Everybody give me a panic roll with your D20.

:

01:35:06,023 --> 01:35:11,153

Meats beats or does meat I suffer a psychosis right now

:

01:35:11,453 --> 01:35:13,620

meets you suffer a psychosis right now.

:

01:35:13,620 --> 01:35:14,874

Okay.

:

01:35:14,874 --> 01:35:16,567

Okay.

:

01:35:16,871 --> 01:35:17,733

Who else?

:

01:35:17,733 --> 01:35:19,116

What else do we got?

:

01:35:19,367 --> 01:35:20,226

Pass.

:

01:35:20,279 --> 01:35:20,653

Okay.

:

01:35:20,653 --> 01:35:23,313

I pass 12 over 8.

:

01:35:24,097 --> 01:35:25,709

What did you roll, Mikael?

:

01:35:27,478 --> 01:35:28,519

Okay.

:

01:35:29,284 --> 01:35:32,007

Give me another D20.

:

01:35:33,008 --> 01:35:33,896

8.

:

01:35:34,897 --> 01:35:49,243

Yeah, you're, you hearing about this and you know, this is a strange way to think of your

own ideology, like this collective concept, but done through some sort of biology.

:

01:35:49,243 --> 01:35:52,524

It kind of shakes the foundation of your belief.

:

01:35:52,664 --> 01:35:59,026

What's one skill that you have that you will no longer be able to use?

:

01:36:00,407 --> 01:36:01,949

You doing this to me?

:

01:36:01,971 --> 01:36:03,235

That's great.

:

01:36:03,235 --> 01:36:04,077

That's great.

:

01:36:04,077 --> 01:36:08,487

I will go with, oof, athletics, I guess.

:

01:36:08,738 --> 01:36:10,681

Yeah, you get shaky, right?

:

01:36:10,681 --> 01:36:18,109

You're put off by this and you're kind of, yeah, you're uneven on your feet now.

:

01:36:19,110 --> 01:36:20,451

So this is it.

:

01:36:20,702 --> 01:36:27,208

We are just meat puppets in a meat grinder for these fucks.

:

01:36:27,460 --> 01:36:30,849

Yeah, you see Mikhail starting to lose it.

:

01:36:30,849 --> 01:36:33,434

Nikolai and Tammy, you make a fear save?

:

01:36:34,435 --> 01:36:35,858

yeah, fail baby.

:

01:36:36,109 --> 01:36:38,315

Okay, add stress.

:

01:36:38,315 --> 01:36:40,635

but that's zero now, right?

:

01:36:42,000 --> 01:36:43,160

Okay.

:

01:36:43,411 --> 01:36:45,131

Zero under 78.

:

01:36:45,839 --> 01:36:47,235

Yep, you pass.

:

01:36:47,235 --> 01:36:49,622

So just stress for you, Nikolai.

:

01:36:50,624 --> 01:36:53,001

Yo, anything else you're looking for in here?

:

01:36:54,002 --> 01:36:57,165

Are there any specimens around?

:

01:36:57,598 --> 01:37:01,724

There are empty specimen tanks and one broken specimen tank.

:

01:37:01,724 --> 01:37:04,639

So you can take the tank with you if you want.

:

01:37:04,890 --> 01:37:07,289

Sure, yeah.

:

01:37:07,289 --> 01:37:07,935

Grab one of

:

01:37:07,935 --> 01:37:11,933

Yeah, we could grab a couple of those and maybe we...

:

01:37:12,185 --> 01:37:15,508

despite the danger, like try to catch one of these things maybe.

:

01:37:15,759 --> 01:37:21,728

Yeah, yeah, you grab two maybe and you're on your way.

:

01:37:21,728 --> 01:37:26,473

Are you going to the reactor area now or something else?

:

01:37:26,842 --> 01:37:29,715

I think down to the core?

:

01:37:29,715 --> 01:37:31,367

Is that the reactor area?

:

01:37:31,367 --> 01:37:31,766

Okay.

:

01:37:31,766 --> 01:37:32,803

ballast part

:

01:37:32,803 --> 01:37:37,448

we must find out how this thing has been disconnected.

:

01:37:37,699 --> 01:37:39,137

see what we find.

:

01:37:39,137 --> 01:37:40,187

Mm-hmm.

:

01:37:40,438 --> 01:37:49,893

Yeah, so that heat is ever present and the hatch there has all that stuff around it.

:

01:37:50,144 --> 01:37:57,708

two of you can use a strength roll to try to get it off or one can aid the other and give

them advantage.

:

01:37:57,960 --> 01:37:59,180

Who has the better strength?

:

01:37:59,180 --> 01:38:00,285

I got 40 here.

:

01:38:01,093 --> 01:38:03,408

I also have a 40, somehow.

:

01:38:03,408 --> 01:38:04,464

35.

:

01:38:04,464 --> 01:38:06,724

So I guess someone could give me advantage.

:

01:38:06,724 --> 01:38:09,549

Yeah, I'm gonna help the strong military man.

:

01:38:09,800 --> 01:38:11,508

looking a little weak lately.

:

01:38:11,508 --> 01:38:13,163

I'm feeling shaky

:

01:38:13,163 --> 01:38:14,816

You got this Mikael.

:

01:38:15,067 --> 01:38:19,227

Oh, come on.

:

01:38:20,007 --> 01:38:22,487

33 under 40.

:

01:38:22,868 --> 01:38:23,679

Beautiful.

:

01:38:23,679 --> 01:38:33,766

Yeah, you both rip it up and the stuff like stretches and it kind of falls off.

:

01:38:33,766 --> 01:38:43,653

As you're touching it and stuff, it's like slime over like some sort of almost like a bone

or like dirt feeling thing that breaks easily.

:

01:38:43,653 --> 01:38:44,494

That's brittle.

:

01:38:44,494 --> 01:38:49,378

It's very strange and it's like and the slime goes and you look down.

:

01:38:50,094 --> 01:38:54,154

and it is very dark.

:

01:38:55,155 --> 01:38:56,070

you

:

01:38:56,070 --> 01:39:04,420

it falls down the ladder chute where there used to be a ladder, but now it's just that

stuff all over the wall.

:

01:39:04,420 --> 01:39:13,179

You can get down slowly and carefully with a successful strength, but you're gonna have to

prop yourself up against the side of the walls.

:

01:39:14,180 --> 01:39:16,715

military training helped me in this case?

:

01:39:16,966 --> 01:39:17,633

way to help you.

:

01:39:17,633 --> 01:39:18,414

Yeah.

:

01:39:19,417 --> 01:39:20,960

It doesn't help you.

:

01:39:21,439 --> 01:39:21,861

Nope.

:

01:39:21,861 --> 01:39:23,394

72 over 50.

:

01:39:23,394 --> 01:39:26,116

Okay, yeah, give yourself another stress.

:

01:39:26,116 --> 01:39:37,841

Okay, you see Mikhail, he's in a little tube basically, and then as you get out, you can

kind of like grab onto this stuff, but it's just slippery and he slips and slides down it

:

01:39:37,841 --> 01:39:40,152

and screeches all the way down.

:

01:39:40,152 --> 01:39:43,547

And it's not the, not him hitting the.

:

01:39:43,547 --> 01:39:44,458

bottom or anything.

:

01:39:44,458 --> 01:39:47,269

It's him splashing into a lot of water.

:

01:39:47,570 --> 01:39:48,570

That scares you.

:

01:39:48,570 --> 01:39:50,712

Can you both give me a fear save?

:

01:39:50,712 --> 01:39:55,915

Because it sounds like he fell into a swimming pool, not just stomped into some water.

:

01:39:56,916 --> 01:39:59,751

One, man, I some nice, rolls here.

:

01:39:59,751 --> 01:40:00,519

m

:

01:40:00,519 --> 01:40:02,719

Nicolais is a sociopath.

:

01:40:02,819 --> 01:40:04,019

Awesome.

:

01:40:06,339 --> 01:40:08,959

If he dies, he dies.

:

01:40:10,368 --> 01:40:12,146

Okay, add stress.

:

01:40:15,860 --> 01:40:20,802

Yeah, Mikhail, you land on your butt and your head is sticking out of the water.

:

01:40:20,802 --> 01:40:25,444

If you were to stand up, this is about groin level full of water.

:

01:40:25,444 --> 01:40:33,978

And in fact, the water from opening the thing up top is starting to fill up and dribble

down and fill this up with water down here as well.

:

01:40:34,229 --> 01:40:34,963

I'm fine.

:

01:40:34,963 --> 01:40:37,512

There's lots of water here.

:

01:40:37,764 --> 01:40:41,246

Yeah, the flare is under the water deep.

:

01:40:41,246 --> 01:40:48,490

It's actually not piercing it very much because the water has a strange black oily nature

to it down here.

:

01:40:48,611 --> 01:40:50,472

Can you make a body save?

:

01:40:51,473 --> 01:40:52,833

Oh yeah.

:

01:40:53,753 --> 01:40:54,873

Oh wait.

:

01:40:54,913 --> 01:40:55,992

No.

:

01:40:56,633 --> 01:41:00,153

I was like, yeah, got 40 and I got 50 and strike.

:

01:41:00,153 --> 01:41:01,293

No, I don't.

:

01:41:01,293 --> 01:41:05,413

fucking 44 over 29 and body.

:

01:41:06,113 --> 01:41:08,433

And this is a bad day.

:

01:41:08,505 --> 01:41:12,846

yeah, some of this stuff got into your mouth and you're tasting it.

:

01:41:12,846 --> 01:41:15,487

Tastes like nothing you've ever tasted before.

:

01:41:15,487 --> 01:41:16,828

It is disgusting.

:

01:41:16,828 --> 01:41:19,569

And it's so dark in here.

:

01:41:20,149 --> 01:41:22,782

It feels, I don't know, like you need more light.

:

01:41:22,782 --> 01:41:25,973

Basically you're starting, in fact, you're starting to panic again a little bit.

:

01:41:25,973 --> 01:41:28,774

You're not there yet, but it's hitting you.

:

01:41:28,774 --> 01:41:30,474

Who's coming down next?

:

01:41:31,476 --> 01:41:32,474

Go down next.

:

01:41:32,474 --> 01:41:35,207

wondering if I can't find anything.

:

01:41:35,708 --> 01:41:40,423

Well, and maybe Nikolai will stop you as he sees you reaching the hole.

:

01:41:40,423 --> 01:41:44,177

And he's like, maybe, maybe we can get down there easier.

:

01:41:44,177 --> 01:41:47,750

And Nikolai's, he's wondering if he could find like some.

:

01:41:48,001 --> 01:41:49,330

I just realized.

:

01:41:49,797 --> 01:41:51,538

jam into the carapace.

:

01:41:51,538 --> 01:41:55,219

So maybe there's some handhold stuff he could find to jam into the carapace.

:

01:41:55,219 --> 01:42:01,432

And if not, he's also gonna recommend to Tammy that you may just be able to kick your way

into it as you go down too.

:

01:42:01,432 --> 01:42:04,543

So maybe we can get down a little safer.

:

01:42:04,760 --> 01:42:07,188

Give me intellect with your jerryrig.

:

01:42:08,189 --> 01:42:10,271

69 over 65.

:

01:42:10,937 --> 01:42:13,139

Yeah, we don't play those roles here.

:

01:42:13,139 --> 01:42:15,212

Sorry guys, but yeah, you know what?

:

01:42:15,212 --> 01:42:24,259

You actually are able to find almost like a rope and jam it in there into the carapace and

you have a rope hanging down.

:

01:42:24,510 --> 01:42:26,456

like, all right, let's let's use this.

:

01:42:26,456 --> 01:42:32,753

It's not the best, but we can probably get down without splashing into the pool on top of

Mikhail.

:

01:42:33,218 --> 01:42:35,192

Yeah, who's going first?

:

01:42:35,443 --> 01:42:36,565

I can go down first.

:

01:42:36,565 --> 01:42:43,612

Tammy also grabs out her flashlight, which can connect to her hazard suit on the shoulder.

:

01:42:43,864 --> 01:42:49,791

Okay, so yeah, you grab onto this rope or are you gonna do what Miguel did?

:

01:42:50,403 --> 01:42:51,826

I'll try the rope.

:

01:42:52,129 --> 01:42:52,950

Yeah.

:

01:42:53,234 --> 01:43:02,298

you're you're about halfway down and Nikolai you see it starting to split in the carapace

and it's about to basically fall and drop her down.

:

01:43:02,298 --> 01:43:06,774

Are you doing anything to grab it or you going to let it go?

:

01:43:07,563 --> 01:43:08,903

I would try to grab it.

:

01:43:08,903 --> 01:43:10,603

Yeah, like brace.

:

01:43:11,403 --> 01:43:14,083

Yeah, it's like, oh shit, oh shit.

:

01:43:14,334 --> 01:43:16,454

Wow, 28 under 38.

:

01:43:16,454 --> 01:43:18,190

All right, or 33.

:

01:43:18,190 --> 01:43:20,043

It jerks you towards the hole a little bit.

:

01:43:20,043 --> 01:43:21,918

You almost feel yourself about to go.

:

01:43:21,918 --> 01:43:27,376

And Tammy, you pull taut, but you can get down the rest of the way with him holding it.

:

01:43:27,627 --> 01:43:28,946

Just hurry.

:

01:43:29,447 --> 01:43:31,990

Yep, I'm making my way down.

:

01:43:33,285 --> 01:43:41,072

Mikhail, you've had this body save and you're feeling grossed out by the stuff that got

into your mouth.

:

01:43:41,072 --> 01:43:44,805

In this amount of time, you're trying to collect yourself and get up.

:

01:43:44,805 --> 01:43:47,236

What do you do as soon as you collect yourself?

:

01:43:47,791 --> 01:43:53,577

I look at my rucksack and realize I had a 50 meter paracord in it.

:

01:43:54,288 --> 01:43:57,621

Okay, go ahead and roll panic.

:

01:43:57,621 --> 01:43:59,293

No, I'm just kidding.

:

01:43:59,293 --> 01:44:00,673

It is distress.

:

01:44:01,034 --> 01:44:03,176

Yeah, give me a dumbass save.

:

01:44:03,176 --> 01:44:13,965

Okay, Tammy falls down right next to you and you see her flashlight green around and in

the back of the room.

:

01:44:13,965 --> 01:44:18,008

This the all of the walls are covered and you know that

:

01:44:18,014 --> 01:44:28,992

in the back of this chamber is the actual core itself and you feel the heat coming off of

where that should be and you as you look around

:

01:44:29,244 --> 01:44:31,136

There's lot of water, right?

:

01:44:31,136 --> 01:44:35,631

If you're standing up in it and it's black and oily, strange.

:

01:44:35,631 --> 01:44:39,995

And where the core should be, it looks more like a womb.

:

01:44:39,995 --> 01:44:53,399

It's like this thrumming carapace, almost like an insect saliva dripping black bone-filled

goo thing that's hard to place in.

:

01:44:53,433 --> 01:44:55,245

even understand at this point.

:

01:44:55,245 --> 01:45:02,063

And your flashlight hits the center of that where the core should be and you see.

:

01:45:02,314 --> 01:45:05,427

It looks to be like a human like this in the distance.

:

01:45:05,427 --> 01:45:07,168

It's hard to see from this distance.

:

01:45:07,168 --> 01:45:10,329

It's not far away, but you can't quite make it out.

:

01:45:10,329 --> 01:45:18,483

But it does look like a human figure attached to this stuff hanging like that with some

just strings of tendrils drip down.

:

01:45:18,483 --> 01:45:21,074

Its head is down as well.

:

01:45:21,074 --> 01:45:22,255

You can't see the face.

:

01:45:22,255 --> 01:45:24,436

Go Tammy and Mikkel.

:

01:45:24,436 --> 01:45:26,225

You're going to have to give me a panic again.

:

01:45:26,225 --> 01:45:27,285

So

:

01:45:28,500 --> 01:45:29,798

Nerves of steel.

:

01:45:29,798 --> 01:45:31,383

Nerves of steel.

:

01:45:31,635 --> 01:45:32,635

15 over seven.

:

01:45:32,635 --> 01:45:33,225

Thanks

:

01:45:33,225 --> 01:45:35,605

Roll to 20 over 9.

:

01:45:35,731 --> 01:45:36,897

Cool.

:

01:45:37,492 --> 01:45:43,758

so just by seeing this, can you give me a D4 and add that to your stress?

:

01:45:44,760 --> 01:45:46,738

This is not good.

:

01:45:46,738 --> 01:45:48,283

Thank God this is a one-shot.

:

01:45:48,283 --> 01:45:49,004

Oof.

:

01:45:49,004 --> 01:45:49,857

Two.

:

01:45:50,109 --> 01:45:52,054

Nikolai, how are you getting down?

:

01:45:52,054 --> 01:45:54,479

Are you gonna try to jury rig this rope again?

:

01:45:54,479 --> 01:45:58,948

You look down and you see them looking in the distance, but you don't hear anything.

:

01:45:59,747 --> 01:46:07,854

Yeah, I would try to secure it to like something that looks like it's heavy or like part

of the structure of the ship.

:

01:46:07,854 --> 01:46:10,849

And then he would try to get himself down.

:

01:46:11,827 --> 01:46:12,088

Okay.

:

01:46:12,088 --> 01:46:13,048

Yeah.

:

01:46:13,049 --> 01:46:16,633

I'm gonna make you roll for that jury rig again as you're doing this.

:

01:46:16,884 --> 01:46:18,064

intelligence.

:

01:46:18,636 --> 01:46:21,956

Yeah, 29 under 65.

:

01:46:22,316 --> 01:46:24,554

So it's got it.

:

01:46:24,554 --> 01:46:28,258

You pull on it this time, you're like, okay, okay, all right, this can hold me.

:

01:46:28,258 --> 01:46:41,290

And you lay down and you land in the water and you see Mikhail and Tammy staring wide-eyed

at something in the far side of the chamber and you catch what it is.

:

01:46:41,290 --> 01:46:44,052

Same description, can you give me a panic check?

:

01:46:44,784 --> 01:46:46,277

I don't know why I came down here.

:

01:46:46,277 --> 01:46:49,494

That is a five.

:

01:46:49,494 --> 01:46:51,782

Ooh, under my seven.

:

01:46:51,782 --> 01:46:56,378

Okay, do you want me to roll the panic chart or do you want to roll it?

:

01:46:56,378 --> 01:46:59,232

So, okay, yeah, give me a D20.

:

01:47:00,042 --> 01:47:00,828

Yep.

:

01:47:01,593 --> 01:47:02,988

is 19.

:

01:47:03,239 --> 01:47:04,750

You're lucky you have Tammy with you.

:

01:47:04,750 --> 01:47:20,048

You see it and your face goes cold and you feel like your heart's stopping but

simultaneously beating out of your chest and you start to breathe and you can't catch your

:

01:47:20,048 --> 01:47:20,328

breath.

:

01:47:20,328 --> 01:47:21,912

You're having a panic attack maybe.

:

01:47:21,912 --> 01:47:23,219

Is it a panic attack?

:

01:47:23,219 --> 01:47:27,330

And then it goes black as you have a heart attack and fall.

:

01:47:27,550 --> 01:47:30,463

onto the ground, into the water.

:

01:47:30,463 --> 01:47:37,530

Mikhail and Tammy, see Nikolai come down, see what you see, gasp, take a beat and step

backwards and just collapse.

:

01:47:37,530 --> 01:47:38,590

What do you do?

:

01:47:39,591 --> 01:47:51,747

uh Michael would roll his eyes, ugh, scientists, and just pick him back up and just slap

him around to make sure he's awake or something.

:

01:47:51,788 --> 01:47:54,601

I have no medical degree, I can't really tell what's going on.

:

01:47:54,601 --> 01:47:56,354

I think he just fainted.

:

01:47:56,693 --> 01:47:59,523

Yeah, you smack him, he is not coming to.

:

01:47:59,523 --> 01:48:02,415

Tammy, what are you doing while he's being held by Mikael?

:

01:48:02,415 --> 01:48:07,935

Well, I do have a first aid kit and I do have psychology as a skill.

:

01:48:08,435 --> 01:48:12,375

Not that that's really, I mean, kind of in a way.

:

01:48:12,375 --> 01:48:17,680

It's a scientific-ish thing, but I can.

:

01:48:17,680 --> 01:48:22,799

that first aid kit, you also have something to stop heart attacks, don't you?

:

01:48:22,799 --> 01:48:24,183

Yeah, you have a D-Fit.

:

01:48:24,434 --> 01:48:26,474

So yeah, I sure do.

:

01:48:26,934 --> 01:48:37,486

So I will, as you're pulling out your defibrillator from this kit and in your thing,

you're thinking, how do I do this in the water?

:

01:48:38,455 --> 01:48:39,489

Oh yeah.

:

01:48:39,769 --> 01:48:42,329

Yeah, excellent question.

:

01:48:42,889 --> 01:48:45,489

Is there any...

:

01:48:45,489 --> 01:48:46,359

Yes.

:

01:48:46,359 --> 01:48:51,445

be like, I don't know, like I can hold him up in the air for a while.

:

01:48:51,445 --> 01:48:58,180

Although I don't have athletics anymore, but I will try and hold him with my mere 40 with

military training, hopefully.

:

01:48:58,180 --> 01:49:04,585

ah And these are chest paddles, I'm assuming, or the stick ons.

:

01:49:04,836 --> 01:49:06,097

Yeah, they can be checked.

:

01:49:06,097 --> 01:49:11,613

You know, in the future, it's like just like two pins that you put on either side of the

heart.

:

01:49:11,613 --> 01:49:13,134

You just go like that.

:

01:49:13,134 --> 01:49:15,328

Okay.

:

01:49:15,328 --> 01:49:20,834

And let me, don't, didn't check the rules for how a defibrillator works in this game, if

there are any.

:

01:49:20,834 --> 01:49:22,955

So give me one second.

:

01:49:23,957 --> 01:49:26,635

rules or whatever you want them to be.

:

01:49:26,749 --> 01:49:27,714

That's true.

:

01:49:27,714 --> 01:49:28,635

true.

:

01:49:29,060 --> 01:49:30,182

You know what?

:

01:49:30,467 --> 01:49:31,255

Yeah.

:

01:49:31,255 --> 01:49:34,741

a heart attack, a defib unit doesn't do shit.

:

01:49:35,323 --> 01:49:40,372

If you like his heart stops because the defib is to stop it from fit fibbing.

:

01:49:40,414 --> 01:49:41,195

Yeah.

:

01:49:41,195 --> 01:49:42,156

yeah.

:

01:49:42,156 --> 01:49:42,756

You know what?

:

01:49:42,756 --> 01:49:46,040

This is an all around heart thing.

:

01:49:47,182 --> 01:49:48,523

In the future.

:

01:49:48,914 --> 01:49:49,742

in the future.

:

01:49:49,742 --> 01:49:50,849

It doesn't matter.

:

01:49:50,849 --> 01:49:51,648

Cool.

:

01:49:51,648 --> 01:49:55,030

Yeah, and in fact, you put a pad over him just to see, right?

:

01:49:55,030 --> 01:49:57,191

And it gives you a diagnostic of what is happening.

:

01:49:57,191 --> 01:50:01,483

He's having a heart attack and it calibrates to what his chest needs, right?

:

01:50:01,483 --> 01:50:06,497

You're holding it there, watching it calibrate and it takes some time to charge it up.

:

01:50:06,738 --> 01:50:15,483

So you're, as it's charging, you're holding him up, Mikhail, out of the water um as much

as possible.

:

01:50:15,483 --> 01:50:18,525

And there is behind you, you...

:

01:50:18,525 --> 01:50:28,445

here and a splash and a splash two splashes as Things start to swim to you Tammy can you

give me that well

:

01:50:28,696 --> 01:50:32,280

If you wanna try to do it fast, can do speed plus first aid.

:

01:50:32,422 --> 01:50:37,128

If you wanna do it normal and be careful, you can use your intelligence.

:

01:50:37,379 --> 01:50:40,186

I'm probably gonna use my intelligence because it's just higher.

:

01:50:40,437 --> 01:50:41,419

Okay, yep.

:

01:50:41,419 --> 01:50:43,051

Mikael, she's taking her time.

:

01:50:43,051 --> 01:50:46,755

You're sitting there, you know something's coming and you're having to hold him up there.

:

01:50:46,755 --> 01:50:51,091

Because of that, give me that athletics, or not athletics, sorry.

:

01:50:51,091 --> 01:50:52,801

Give me a strength save.

:

01:50:52,801 --> 01:51:01,009

yeah strength save uh no that this yeah this doesn't do military training doesn't do shit

with that

:

01:51:01,261 --> 01:51:02,736

cool, 37.

:

01:51:03,039 --> 01:51:03,330

Okay.

:

01:51:03,330 --> 01:51:07,938

And you're able to hold him up, but you're getting nervous as this thing is coming.

:

01:51:07,938 --> 01:51:10,280

All right, Tammy, let's see.

:

01:51:11,509 --> 01:51:12,729

Yeah, I failed.

:

01:51:12,729 --> 01:51:15,742

94 over 51.

:

01:51:15,742 --> 01:51:20,616

So, you know, it was more of an oversight and not a failure.

:

01:51:20,616 --> 01:51:22,758

This machine is calibrated well.

:

01:51:22,758 --> 01:51:26,431

but he's creating a arc through Mikhail.

:

01:51:26,431 --> 01:51:29,966

Mikhail's armor is very, very conductive.

:

01:51:29,966 --> 01:51:32,919

And can you roll me a 2D tin?

:

01:51:33,171 --> 01:51:35,904

And this is how we kill Nikolai

:

01:51:36,905 --> 01:51:37,874

CPK.

:

01:51:38,875 --> 01:51:40,215

12.

:

01:51:40,215 --> 01:51:41,675

2D10.

:

01:51:41,675 --> 01:51:52,074

As the electricity is generated, Mikhail, you seize up and you feel it coming through you

because you're holding him and you're gonna split that damage between you both.

:

01:51:52,074 --> 01:51:53,665

So you both take six.

:

01:51:53,665 --> 01:51:59,873

Nikolai, you come back to and are up, but you take six damage.

:

01:51:59,873 --> 01:52:01,454

Do you take a wound with that?

:

01:52:02,147 --> 01:52:04,814

No, I've still got like two health.

:

01:52:05,650 --> 01:52:06,486

same.

:

01:52:06,737 --> 01:52:10,101

Yeah, he comes to Mikael, you're holding him up.

:

01:52:10,101 --> 01:52:20,245

Tammy, you see past them and one of these larger creatures just sails through the air and

hits Mikael in the back.

:

01:52:20,245 --> 01:52:22,887

Mikael, let me roll this real quick.

:

01:52:23,138 --> 01:52:24,369

What's your armor?

:

01:52:24,620 --> 01:52:25,494

10.

:

01:52:25,564 --> 01:52:28,998

Okay, 21, so it's gonna succeed as it starts to burrow towards you.

:

01:52:28,998 --> 01:52:31,570

And it's.

:

01:52:32,571 --> 01:52:45,743

you take three damage as this thing's teeth start to find a uh small chink in your armor

and start biting into your shoulder and you take three on top of that six earlier.

:

01:52:45,743 --> 01:52:53,603

Okay, so I'm at two, but the damage doesn't carry over when we add one wound, right?

:

01:52:53,854 --> 01:52:55,714

Or does it?

:

01:52:56,654 --> 01:52:59,854

Yeah, so I'm back to 11, but with one moon.

:

01:53:00,474 --> 01:53:00,947

Okay.

:

01:53:00,947 --> 01:53:03,709

And give me a D10.

:

01:53:04,710 --> 01:53:05,676

Nine.

:

01:53:06,677 --> 01:53:09,662

Yeah.

:

01:53:09,662 --> 01:53:18,073

It came for your neck and it tears your throat out and you start to feel the blood run

down under your suit.

:

01:53:18,325 --> 01:53:22,572

you go unconscious and fall to the ground.

:

01:53:24,014 --> 01:53:26,904

and I will roll your death safe.

:

01:53:28,329 --> 01:53:30,101

Do you guys remember how death saves work in this?

:

01:53:30,101 --> 01:53:31,666

Did you encounter that?

:

01:53:31,917 --> 01:53:33,064

I've read it.

:

01:53:33,329 --> 01:53:38,698

So you roll a D10 and then you put it under a cup.

:

01:53:39,383 --> 01:53:41,719

yeah, and that's how they find your body.

:

01:53:42,219 --> 01:53:43,100

Yep.

:

01:53:44,005 --> 01:53:53,765

And so, yeah, I mean, since we don't have a digital cup, it's not as exciting, but you

guys see Mikhail fall down in front of you in the water and I have a number.

:

01:53:53,765 --> 01:53:57,318

So next time somebody checks, then yeah.

:

01:53:58,319 --> 01:53:59,891

So this thing's chomping on him.

:

01:53:59,891 --> 01:54:04,054

The second one comes straight at you, Tammy.

:

01:54:04,305 --> 01:54:06,660

Your armor's three, right, with that?

:

01:54:06,660 --> 01:54:07,367

Or five.

:

01:54:07,367 --> 01:54:08,751

5.

:

01:54:09,003 --> 01:54:15,103

Roll to 92, so this thing comes out, just kind of glances off of you and slaps back into

the water.

:

01:54:15,623 --> 01:54:17,023

What do you do?

:

01:54:17,183 --> 01:54:18,503

It's your guy's turn.

:

01:54:19,504 --> 01:54:21,503

was gonna do something, but I can't.

:

01:54:22,504 --> 01:54:24,889

feel like it's time for a flamethrower.

:

01:54:25,140 --> 01:54:26,480

At least on one of them.

:

01:54:26,480 --> 01:54:28,520

I don't know if I can get both of them.

:

01:54:28,771 --> 01:54:32,422

We didn't happen to grab that, tank to keep one, did we?

:

01:54:32,422 --> 01:54:35,540

Okay.

:

01:54:35,836 --> 01:54:37,402

they're trying to kill us.

:

01:54:37,653 --> 01:54:39,515

Yeah, true, but.

:

01:54:39,614 --> 01:54:41,661

Maybe we just keep a corpse.

:

01:54:41,913 --> 01:54:43,297

Yeah, what are you thinking?

:

01:54:43,548 --> 01:54:45,550

I'm gonna try to set them on fire.

:

01:54:45,811 --> 01:54:46,732

At least one of them.

:

01:54:46,732 --> 01:54:49,056

If I can get both of them, great.

:

01:54:49,056 --> 01:54:53,443

But if not, mean, sounds like maybe the one that bounced off of Tammy would be more...

:

01:54:53,443 --> 01:54:57,728

Targetable without killing my compatriots here.

:

01:54:57,960 --> 01:55:02,346

You would definitely toast Mikhail if you did the one who attacked him.

:

01:55:02,346 --> 01:55:05,081

But the second one is, you know, it's close to Tammy.

:

01:55:05,081 --> 01:55:09,235

You would toast her potentially depending on your role.

:

01:55:09,486 --> 01:55:10,592

Mm-hmm.

:

01:55:11,593 --> 01:55:13,109

Um, yeah, he's going to try it.

:

01:55:13,109 --> 01:55:14,051

Maybe.

:

01:55:14,816 --> 01:55:16,138

What do do, Tammy?

:

01:55:16,390 --> 01:55:17,313

I will...

:

01:55:17,313 --> 01:55:19,231

Pull out my spatula.

:

01:55:19,484 --> 01:55:20,756

and try smacking it.

:

01:55:20,756 --> 01:55:26,217

Oh right, actually no, I'll do my revolver.

:

01:55:27,515 --> 01:55:29,772

Yeah, give me your combat.

:

01:55:30,773 --> 01:55:31,630

You

:

01:55:31,881 --> 01:55:33,461

Nope.

:

01:55:34,441 --> 01:55:36,801

95 over 35.

:

01:55:37,574 --> 01:55:39,804

Stressing out.

:

01:55:39,804 --> 01:55:40,276

failing.

:

01:55:40,276 --> 01:55:43,970

He's just not very good at combat.

:

01:55:44,204 --> 01:55:46,039

Yeah, what's your failure number?

:

01:55:46,039 --> 01:55:48,102

87 over 32.

:

01:55:48,350 --> 01:55:52,135

Okay, you flame over the water.

:

01:55:52,135 --> 01:56:02,177

Tammy has glanced it off of her and it shot into the water and you see the flames go over

the water and they in fact do catch this thing.

:

01:56:02,177 --> 01:56:03,848

So give me 2D10 of damage.

:

01:56:04,462 --> 01:56:05,510

Mmm.

:

01:56:06,591 --> 01:56:11,263

So four and a three, seven.

:

01:56:11,263 --> 01:56:15,122

Yes, 2D10 uh close range, yeah.

:

01:56:15,624 --> 01:56:28,344

Okay, yeah, you barbecue this thing and the flames reach up and you see a bunch of egg

sacs above you start that are large ones start to shake and you've awoken them with your

:

01:56:28,344 --> 01:56:28,855

flames.

:

01:56:28,855 --> 01:56:35,220

Okay, is anybody checking Mikhail or are we going to the things?

:

01:56:36,601 --> 01:56:41,703

I mean, if we were to have time, but I feel like I shot off my flamethrower.

:

01:56:41,703 --> 01:56:42,655

I don't know.

:

01:56:43,549 --> 01:56:49,015

Yeah, so the one comes back at you, Tammy.

:

01:56:49,015 --> 01:56:54,622

It tries to come toward your leg and wrap itself around it and it rolled right above its

attack.

:

01:56:54,622 --> 01:57:01,629

It can't get purchase on you, but it's down below like neck, like basically wrapped around

you.

:

01:57:01,710 --> 01:57:04,752

And the other one now comes for you, Nikolai.

:

01:57:05,003 --> 01:57:12,147

Yeah, it comes craning at you and maybe you move out of the way in the water and it goes

past you into the distance.

:

01:57:12,147 --> 01:57:14,510

And you have, can somebody roll me a D4?

:

01:57:14,762 --> 01:57:15,707

I will.

:

01:57:16,144 --> 01:57:17,375

Yeah, yeah, yeah, perfect.

:

01:57:17,375 --> 01:57:22,872

Okay, you guys have four rounds until those eggs open up, up top.

:

01:57:22,872 --> 01:57:27,718

So thank you, Mikhail, potentially from the grave.

:

01:57:27,718 --> 01:57:29,780

Yeah, yeah.

:

01:57:30,762 --> 01:57:33,084

Yeah, it is over to you guys.

:

01:57:34,085 --> 01:57:36,236

I'm gonna go check on Mikhail.

:

01:57:37,119 --> 01:57:45,390

Okay, you drop down and look at him and he's wounded but he is still alive.

:

01:57:47,394 --> 01:57:50,673

He seems unconscious so.

:

01:57:50,673 --> 01:57:53,842

his face a little bit like, Mikhail?

:

01:57:53,842 --> 01:57:54,883

Mikhail?

:

01:57:55,307 --> 01:57:57,691

Do you have any first aid or is it just Tammy?

:

01:57:57,691 --> 01:58:01,371

Uh, I do not have any listed on me.

:

01:58:01,371 --> 01:58:02,991

I have like a STEM pack.

:

01:58:03,011 --> 01:58:10,651

Um, I don't know if that would let me, um, it does do a bunch of stuff, including restore

health.

:

01:58:10,902 --> 01:58:12,757

Yeah, hit them with the Stimpak.

:

01:58:13,072 --> 01:58:13,868

Okay.

:

01:58:14,720 --> 01:58:17,753

Yeah, you hit him with the Sten pack.

:

01:58:18,434 --> 01:58:21,698

He's gushing blood out of his neck where this thing bit him.

:

01:58:21,698 --> 01:58:24,040

And Mikhail, you have a turn.

:

01:58:24,040 --> 01:58:24,961

You're able to stand up.

:

01:58:24,961 --> 01:58:31,908

You maybe have one or two turns before you need like first aid because you're bleeding

out.

:

01:58:32,159 --> 01:58:32,594

Um,

:

01:58:32,594 --> 01:58:35,615

I roll a D10 here though?

:

01:58:36,336 --> 01:58:47,602

Because I'm reading, well, it's like curious cryosickness reduces stress by one to restore

its 1D10 health grants a plus to all roles for 1D10 minutes.

:

01:58:48,088 --> 01:58:48,794

cool.

:

01:58:49,563 --> 01:58:55,169

And if you roll under the amount of doses you've taken in the past 24 hours, make a death

save.

:

01:58:55,169 --> 01:58:59,554

So that's a five on the D10 though.

:

01:58:59,805 --> 01:59:00,866

Okay, great.

:

01:59:00,866 --> 01:59:08,024

Yeah, you get five health, which is every turn you're losing one D10 of health as you're

bleeding out.

:

01:59:08,024 --> 01:59:09,899

that's a nice little bonus on top of it.

:

01:59:09,899 --> 01:59:13,755

take an action and then roll how much damage you take.

:

01:59:13,755 --> 01:59:28,549

Mikhail will open his eyes seeing like the sacks of eggs that are like shaking awake and

will not think twice and like look for a fuel canister and will just be looking quickly at

:

01:59:28,549 --> 01:59:34,324

them as like, Brandon, as he is not able to talk correctly anymore.

:

01:59:34,597 --> 01:59:35,121

Oof.

:

01:59:35,121 --> 01:59:38,694

a fuel canister and just chuck it wherever the eggs are.

:

01:59:39,416 --> 01:59:43,692

Yeah, they're up against the wall, like hanging, right?

:

01:59:43,692 --> 01:59:46,515

And you can chuck it.

:

01:59:46,515 --> 01:59:48,336

You can roll your athletics.

:

01:59:48,783 --> 01:59:50,595

Or not your strength, sorry.

:

01:59:50,595 --> 01:59:53,935

I kinda don't have that anymore.

:

01:59:54,186 --> 01:59:55,566

Fuck off, man.

:

01:59:55,566 --> 01:59:58,886

75 over 40.

:

01:59:58,987 --> 01:59:59,588

No, no, no.

:

01:59:59,588 --> 02:00:02,510

You throw it and it lands there next to those things.

:

02:00:02,510 --> 02:00:05,032

You think if you shoot it, the flame will get up there.

:

02:00:05,032 --> 02:00:05,498

So.

:

02:00:05,498 --> 02:00:07,622

Okay, next turn I guess.

:

02:00:08,226 --> 02:00:11,674

Oh, and I need to roll a 1D10 of bleeding.

:

02:00:12,498 --> 02:00:14,472

Jesus Christ, come on.

:

02:00:15,473 --> 02:00:16,410

Nine.

:

02:00:16,737 --> 02:00:19,679

Okay, do you take another wound or is that it?

:

02:00:19,679 --> 02:00:20,780

Okay.

:

02:00:20,840 --> 02:00:21,241

Okay.

:

02:00:21,241 --> 02:00:22,682

Yeah, he's bleeding out.

:

02:00:22,682 --> 02:00:25,464

Tammy, you have this thing wrapped around your leg.

:

02:00:25,464 --> 02:00:30,329

Mikhail's like popped up out of the water and it's like in this like adrenaline field.

:

02:00:30,329 --> 02:00:35,152

Stimpak haze and has thrown like an explosive across the room.

:

02:00:35,152 --> 02:00:36,293

What do you do?

:

02:00:37,294 --> 02:00:38,445

You

:

02:00:38,445 --> 02:00:40,213

Did you hear that?

:

02:00:40,213 --> 02:00:41,239

agree with George.

:

02:00:41,239 --> 02:00:42,512

Definitely.

:

02:00:42,960 --> 02:00:44,280

hi sir.

:

02:00:47,765 --> 02:00:48,967

I will grab...

:

02:00:48,967 --> 02:00:54,372

I'll grab my revolver and shoot down at the one near my leg.

:

02:00:54,512 --> 02:00:57,491

Yeah, I will give you advantage because it's so close.

:

02:00:59,280 --> 02:01:00,302

Combat.

:

02:01:01,303 --> 02:01:07,683

First roll 31, second roll 15, so both under.

:

02:01:08,191 --> 02:01:09,703

give me damage on that.

:

02:01:09,954 --> 02:01:12,304

would be covering my sheet.

:

02:01:14,199 --> 02:01:16,222

I'm so sorry, I meant to like...

:

02:01:16,222 --> 02:01:16,603

yes.

:

02:01:16,603 --> 02:01:17,323

D...

:

02:01:17,575 --> 02:01:20,363

D10 plus 1 or no?

:

02:01:20,363 --> 02:01:21,853

Yeah, plus 1?

:

02:01:21,993 --> 02:01:23,353

6.

:

02:01:23,880 --> 02:01:28,030

Yeah, you blow this thing away.

:

02:01:28,030 --> 02:01:29,574

It explodes underwater.

:

02:01:29,574 --> 02:01:31,080

The water starts to sizzle.

:

02:01:31,080 --> 02:01:32,218

Can you roll a D4?

:

02:01:33,220 --> 02:01:37,057

Yeah, you take four damage as the acid starts to eat into your leg.

:

02:01:38,058 --> 02:01:39,575

They have a wound, no?

:

02:01:39,826 --> 02:01:44,385

No, I have 19 health, and I've only lost six.

:

02:01:44,636 --> 02:01:45,747

Hoo boy.

:

02:01:46,166 --> 02:01:47,557

Your tank, guys.

:

02:01:48,060 --> 02:01:54,903

So, all right, Nikolai, are you gonna try to shoot this canister or?

:

02:01:54,903 --> 02:01:58,726

Um, I don't have any thing like that.

:

02:01:58,978 --> 02:02:02,601

I'm, Niklai's thinking like we came down here for a reason.

:

02:02:02,601 --> 02:02:15,255

Is there any way to like tell where this obstruction to the reactor is, or is it just

like, he's kind of like.

:

02:02:15,255 --> 02:02:20,825

almost so you have to go across the room and you where this guy is hanging there

:

02:02:21,529 --> 02:02:22,966

Yeah, it's like.

:

02:02:23,217 --> 02:02:25,289

It's either that or I like bad at this thing.

:

02:02:25,289 --> 02:02:28,010

Yeah, I think we're gonna have to wait for these guys to shoot it.

:

02:02:28,010 --> 02:02:36,905

Yeah, and he's gonna be like, deciding to walk over there and kind of look and be like,

we've got to restore this power, the power guys.

:

02:02:36,905 --> 02:02:43,077

He's gonna face his fears maybe as he approaches this thing.

:

02:02:43,530 --> 02:02:47,533

and yeah, you see the scientists.

:

02:02:47,533 --> 02:02:49,162

You knew him as Kopotsky.

:

02:02:49,162 --> 02:02:53,596

He's suspended in a web of translucent biomechanical resin.

:

02:02:53,596 --> 02:03:00,741

His limbs are stretched out and he's fused to the reactor shielding and its warmth is

giving off.

:

02:03:00,741 --> 02:03:09,806

His chest has been completely hollowed out and coming out of his chest nestled behind what

used to be ribs, but have been just kind of like.

:

02:03:09,958 --> 02:03:14,663

are pointing outward now is a large one of these things that looks very different.

:

02:03:14,663 --> 02:03:20,227

It's massive, pale, it has gelatinous flesh and rigid fins on its back.

:

02:03:20,227 --> 02:03:33,759

And it has a strange jaw that opens up with a second jaw behind it and Kupotsky, his heart

is beating next to its head as it comes out.

:

02:03:33,759 --> 02:03:46,215

And this like strange thrumming from the heart wakes him up and his eyes flutter open and

they are completely black and he's looking around the room and then he listens with his

:

02:03:46,215 --> 02:03:48,946

ears and his voice is wet and bubbly.

:

02:03:48,946 --> 02:03:53,708

You're surprised his vocal cords can even work and he says, comrades.

:

02:03:54,840 --> 02:03:58,270

and his jaw is unhinged slightly.

:

02:03:58,521 --> 02:03:59,984

And can you make a panic save?

:

02:03:59,984 --> 02:04:02,320

And then we'll go back to the action on the other side.

:

02:04:02,320 --> 02:04:03,131

Yeah.

:

02:04:03,888 --> 02:04:05,632

like, God, God, God.

:

02:04:05,632 --> 02:04:07,003

yeah, I'm not doing good on these.

:

02:04:07,003 --> 02:04:07,814

That's a four.

:

02:04:07,814 --> 02:04:11,909

um Four under seven.

:

02:04:11,909 --> 02:04:13,500

right.

:

02:04:13,751 --> 02:04:15,272

Thank God there's others.

:

02:04:15,272 --> 02:04:15,634

D20.

:

02:04:15,634 --> 02:04:16,834

17.

:

02:04:17,835 --> 02:04:23,557

Okay, yeah, so all of your panic checks are at disadvantage.

:

02:04:23,557 --> 02:04:27,818

Like you are going to the worst case scenario in your head about every situation.

:

02:04:27,818 --> 02:04:28,829

You know you're fucked.

:

02:04:28,829 --> 02:04:32,281

You are spiraling downward and downward and downward.

:

02:04:32,281 --> 02:04:34,122

This is it for you, right?

:

02:04:34,122 --> 02:04:36,203

How can you survive something like this?

:

02:04:36,203 --> 02:04:37,924

And he's still alive.

:

02:04:37,924 --> 02:04:39,725

Like how is he still alive?

:

02:04:39,725 --> 02:04:41,115

He woke up 100 years ago.

:

02:04:41,115 --> 02:04:42,549

Is this thing keeping him alive?

:

02:04:42,549 --> 02:04:46,358

We will cut over to Mikhail and Tammy.

:

02:04:46,358 --> 02:04:47,902

What are you doing over there?

:

02:04:48,154 --> 02:04:54,599

Mikhail who's seeing like all the eggs go up in flame or at least most of them right or is

it all of them?

:

02:04:54,599 --> 02:04:56,822

haven't shot the thing to...

:

02:04:58,275 --> 02:04:59,247

yeah, yeah, yeah, sorry.

:

02:04:59,247 --> 02:05:00,068

Sorry, yeah.

:

02:05:00,068 --> 02:05:05,735

You see the flames like starting to climb the carapace and burn them and they're like...

:

02:05:07,159 --> 02:05:07,913

Yep.

:

02:05:07,913 --> 02:05:12,257

this is like, yeah, this is eventually gonna take care of himself of itself.

:

02:05:12,257 --> 02:05:16,401

However, there's does he see the thing in the back?

:

02:05:17,184 --> 02:05:20,149

You saw earlier and you saw Nikolai run over there.

:

02:05:20,149 --> 02:05:21,181

yeah.

:

02:05:21,996 --> 02:05:23,158

But does he see it move?

:

02:05:23,158 --> 02:05:24,358

That's the thing.

:

02:05:25,130 --> 02:05:25,660

yeah.

:

02:05:25,660 --> 02:05:32,789

This is like all like this is full clip uh down the range on this thing.

:

02:05:33,030 --> 02:05:35,512

And now I do have firearms.

:

02:05:35,713 --> 02:05:37,785

So 15.

:

02:05:38,786 --> 02:05:42,446

4 under 65.

:

02:05:42,446 --> 02:05:45,024

That's 4 D10s.

:

02:05:45,024 --> 02:05:49,339

blurry and you're just like trying to lock in before you die.

:

02:05:49,339 --> 02:05:54,264

Like this is your maybe your last moment as you're bleeding out and you take a shot.

:

02:05:55,265 --> 02:05:56,169

17 damage.

:

02:05:56,418 --> 02:05:57,979

Let's see here.

:

02:05:58,230 --> 02:05:59,712

Yeah, what are you aiming at?

:

02:05:59,712 --> 02:06:03,025

Are you aiming at the thing inside of him or are you aiming?

:

02:06:03,025 --> 02:06:04,126

Okay, perfect.

:

02:06:04,126 --> 02:06:05,398

Yeah, yeah.

:

02:06:05,398 --> 02:06:09,843

So you fire and it hits and you see.

:

02:06:10,426 --> 02:06:16,113

like a huge like exit wound come out of this thing and it screams and you hear him.

:

02:06:16,113 --> 02:06:17,365

my God.

:

02:06:17,365 --> 02:06:19,248

It's like causing him pain too.

:

02:06:19,248 --> 02:06:20,789

And he starts to breathe.

:

02:06:20,789 --> 02:06:22,792

Nikolai, you see this as well.

:

02:06:22,792 --> 02:06:24,433

Tammy, what are you doing?

:

02:06:25,434 --> 02:06:26,226

Oof.

:

02:06:26,942 --> 02:06:28,227

Fix me.

:

02:06:28,312 --> 02:06:29,496

Please.

:

02:06:31,368 --> 02:06:32,090

yeah.

:

02:06:32,090 --> 02:06:37,125

I do have my first aid kit, so if I can attempt first aid on Mikael.

:

02:06:37,822 --> 02:06:46,203

Yeah, you're gonna have to use speed because you're in a situation like this, not

intelligence, that's okay.

:

02:06:46,606 --> 02:06:49,086

No, that's totally understandable.

:

02:06:49,337 --> 02:06:51,357

80, 0 for 30.

:

02:06:52,347 --> 02:06:56,800

Okay, Mikhail, roll that D10 for your damage, seven.

:

02:06:56,800 --> 02:07:08,047

Okay, so you, okay, so give me another, let's see, go ahead and give me another D10.

:

02:07:09,048 --> 02:07:21,412

Yeah, you're lucky that she didn't like hurt you more, but you're going to take another D4

of damage on top of it as she fails patching you up and you're still continuing to bleed

:

02:07:21,412 --> 02:07:21,672

out.

:

02:07:21,672 --> 02:07:24,442

You have very limited time on this earth now.

:

02:07:24,442 --> 02:07:26,192

Yes, that's four.

:

02:07:27,271 --> 02:07:29,758

So I'm at, yeah, now I'm at seven.

:

02:07:29,758 --> 02:07:33,583

This is my last wound before I go bye-bye.

:

02:07:34,196 --> 02:07:40,065

Yeah, in this moment, are you even thinking about survival or are you thinking, okay,

that's what I thought, yep.

:

02:07:40,065 --> 02:07:41,707

All for the greater good.

:

02:07:42,409 --> 02:07:43,931

The greater good.

:

02:07:44,224 --> 02:07:45,125

yes.

:

02:07:45,125 --> 02:07:54,777

So there was another one of those things and it has chased Nikolai as it's ran towards

presumably its queen and jumps out of the water straight at you Nikolai.

:

02:07:55,778 --> 02:08:06,873

83 man it bounces off of your back, but you feel it smack you and it kind of you stumble

towards this thing As it's screaming from Mikhail shot

:

02:08:07,125 --> 02:08:23,451

and as you stumble forward you see this thing start to wiggle almost trying to wiggle free

it looks like and its mouth opens up and there is a circle of teeth and then a second

:

02:08:23,451 --> 02:08:28,965

circle comes out and it spits at you can you

:

02:08:29,153 --> 02:08:30,058

Well, nevermind.

:

02:08:30,058 --> 02:08:33,090

Actually give me a speed save.

:

02:08:33,341 --> 02:08:36,140

your speed to see if you can get out of the way of this thing.

:

02:08:36,140 --> 02:08:36,923

oh

:

02:08:37,811 --> 02:08:40,971

No, 54 over 33.

:

02:08:41,699 --> 02:08:48,489

take a stress and there's like this strange greenish black liquid that hits your suit.

:

02:08:49,751 --> 02:08:51,100

And what's your armor?

:

02:08:51,616 --> 02:08:52,620

Five

:

02:08:52,709 --> 02:09:01,896

Okay, so you take four damage as this acid is melting through your suit and your armor is

now useless as this is starting to melt through.

:

02:09:01,896 --> 02:09:04,301

You have to start tearing it off in fact.

:

02:09:04,301 --> 02:09:05,141

So.

:

02:09:05,625 --> 02:09:08,278

and that's going to make me take a wound too.

:

02:09:08,278 --> 02:09:12,728

Okay, Give me a roll for the wound table, which is a D10.

:

02:09:12,890 --> 02:09:13,652

Actually, you know what?

:

02:09:13,652 --> 02:09:16,738

Since this is very specific.

:

02:09:17,740 --> 02:09:25,057

the acid makes you nauseous and it starts hitting you and it makes you sick.

:

02:09:25,057 --> 02:09:31,552

So now you're going to take any intellect based roles at disadvantage.

:

02:09:32,554 --> 02:09:34,766

and it is your turn Tammy.

:

02:09:38,872 --> 02:09:40,556

Charlie's pointing at himself.

:

02:09:40,556 --> 02:09:41,258

Yeah.

:

02:09:41,258 --> 02:09:43,201

I attempt again?

:

02:09:45,639 --> 02:09:47,630

This is your last attempt, sure.

:

02:09:48,632 --> 02:09:56,472

75 over 100 or over, sorry, 75 over 30 if it's speed again.

:

02:09:57,292 --> 02:09:59,492

I'm just not doing well.

:

02:10:00,532 --> 02:10:05,292

My stress is up to 15 by the way.

:

02:10:05,543 --> 02:10:15,933

You think you have it patched up, like you've shoved gauze in there, you've wrapped it,

you've done all you can do, you think, and you're like, hey, soldier, give him a pat, like

:

02:10:15,933 --> 02:10:17,614

he's ready, so.

:

02:10:17,866 --> 02:10:19,398

Mikael, it's your turn.

:

02:10:19,623 --> 02:10:23,962

Yeah, I will full clip that bitch once more.

:

02:10:24,214 --> 02:10:26,590

Yeah, doing like every other rap song.

:

02:10:26,590 --> 02:10:27,574

you

:

02:10:27,825 --> 02:10:31,225

23 under 65.

:

02:10:31,225 --> 02:10:31,543

oh

:

02:10:31,543 --> 02:10:32,555

me damage.

:

02:10:33,556 --> 02:10:34,732

19.

:

02:10:35,299 --> 02:10:39,432

Beautiful You spray this thing and it's like getting tore up.

:

02:10:39,432 --> 02:10:41,884

It's getting tore up right in front of you Nikolai.

:

02:10:41,884 --> 02:10:49,810

You're like Like it's spraying all over the the blood isn't hitting you But you're quite

close to it as he takes another shot.

:

02:10:49,810 --> 02:10:51,231

What are you doing Nikolai?

:

02:10:51,482 --> 02:10:52,204

I'm out.

:

02:10:52,204 --> 02:10:57,108

I feel like I want to like stab at this thing or something or like try to punch this

thing.

:

02:10:57,108 --> 02:10:57,438

I don't know.

:

02:10:57,438 --> 02:10:58,825

He's got the...

:

02:10:58,825 --> 02:11:00,951

Maybe he's still got his like...

:

02:11:00,951 --> 02:11:07,316

Yeah, the flamethrower is empty, but he could still like maybe take like the butt of it

and like wham.

:

02:11:07,316 --> 02:11:09,358

Or like he pulls.

:

02:11:09,558 --> 02:11:10,719

Yeah, I know.

:

02:11:10,839 --> 02:11:12,801

He's like, I thought I was out.

:

02:11:12,801 --> 02:11:14,022

Anyways, okay.

:

02:11:14,022 --> 02:11:15,504

So we'll roll for that flamethrower.

:

02:11:15,504 --> 02:11:16,957

He's pulling the trigger.

:

02:11:16,957 --> 02:11:21,703

Nonetheless, wow, 91 on that combat roll.

:

02:11:21,703 --> 02:11:22,925

roll damage.

:

02:11:23,176 --> 02:11:28,912

2d10 so 5 and 5

:

02:11:29,576 --> 02:11:33,632

Okay, can you roll me another D10?

:

02:11:34,106 --> 02:11:35,008

Two.

:

02:11:35,454 --> 02:11:37,015

Okay, so total of 12.

:

02:11:37,015 --> 02:11:45,001

Yeah, you hit that thing and just hold it down until your flame canister is empty.

:

02:11:45,001 --> 02:11:45,661

hits it.

:

02:11:45,661 --> 02:11:48,664

There's no way you can miss like even with a roll like that.

:

02:11:48,664 --> 02:11:59,915

What can happen though is that flame just rolls out of this cavernous chest of Kopatsky

and he just smashes you in the face and you also take 12.

:

02:12:00,275 --> 02:12:06,406

as you see Nikolai catch on fire in front of you and start maybe screaming.

:

02:12:06,657 --> 02:12:08,360

And that's going to take all my hit points.

:

02:12:08,360 --> 02:12:15,114

And he's like feeling this, like as his flesh burns, like, yeah, that's a whole nother

wound.

:

02:12:15,114 --> 02:12:17,305

This could be the end of Dr.

:

02:12:17,305 --> 02:12:18,317

Nicolai.

:

02:12:18,568 --> 02:12:22,004

Yeah, give me a D10 just because.

:

02:12:23,005 --> 02:12:23,836

Three.

:

02:12:24,837 --> 02:12:27,816

yet the your.

:

02:12:28,818 --> 02:12:31,250

Yeah, you're being burned, right?

:

02:12:31,250 --> 02:12:34,483

And now this suit is melting to your skin.

:

02:12:34,483 --> 02:12:35,543

It's fusing with it.

:

02:12:35,543 --> 02:12:37,606

These are definitely third degree burns.

:

02:12:37,606 --> 02:12:42,769

You will not recover from this, but you are still up for now.

:

02:12:43,027 --> 02:12:50,031

Um, so if I have a maximum of two wounds, I can take two wounds, but if I take a third,

that's when it's like death time.

:

02:12:50,031 --> 02:12:52,384

Is that how that works?

:

02:12:52,785 --> 02:12:59,788

Yeah, and you're any body safe now, you're gonna do at disadvantage and gain two stress

for failure.

:

02:13:00,629 --> 02:13:08,193

But yeah, you see the suit melting to him, maybe you jump into the water Nikolai or

something to stop it, but it's done its damage.

:

02:13:08,429 --> 02:13:11,055

Yeah, it hurts, it hurts.

:

02:13:11,306 --> 02:13:24,002

Tammy or sorry it is so you're screaming smoking now This thing is on fire screaming as

well, and I'll give you a detain every turn to keep damaging it since it's caught on fire

:

02:13:24,002 --> 02:13:27,586

it's trying to rip out of Kapotsky's chest

:

02:13:28,588 --> 02:13:29,350

And it does.

:

02:13:29,350 --> 02:13:32,612

It splashes out into the water and is put out.

:

02:13:32,612 --> 02:13:36,875

And this thing spreads out in front of you, Nikolai.

:

02:13:37,876 --> 02:13:41,616

And rolls a double 07 on its attack.

:

02:13:42,481 --> 02:13:45,688

Everyone's a secret agent this this episode

:

02:13:45,845 --> 02:13:47,893

agent man.

:

02:13:48,275 --> 02:13:50,672

Da da da do do.

:

02:13:50,672 --> 02:14:00,442

bony tail with a spike lashes out and catches you for four Just right on the burnt flesh

cuts you open for another four

:

02:14:00,694 --> 02:14:04,199

and Kapotsky is there burned, dead, no longer.

:

02:14:04,199 --> 02:14:12,799

The other one behind you is going to try to burrow into your skin, even though you were

caught on fire.

:

02:14:13,800 --> 02:14:20,199

Yeah, and it rolls 100, so it does not, wait, it does actually, sorry.

:

02:14:20,861 --> 02:14:24,066

Zero, it's zero, not 100, my bad.

:

02:14:24,066 --> 02:14:27,332

Yeah, and give me a body save at disadvantage.

:

02:14:27,583 --> 02:14:29,463

All right, roll twice.

:

02:14:30,443 --> 02:14:32,603

I'd probably fail that one anyways.

:

02:14:32,603 --> 02:14:36,843

Yeah, we got 83 and yeah, 19.

:

02:14:36,843 --> 02:14:41,483

Even with the 19, it would have failed, double fail.

:

02:14:43,731 --> 02:14:56,926

You take nine damage as this thing jumps up and comes up your leg and just starts to

eviscerate the bottom part of your stomach and tear it open and burrow into your belly.

:

02:14:56,926 --> 02:14:58,868

And are you alive still?

:

02:14:59,053 --> 02:15:01,796

No, yeah, that's all my health again.

:

02:15:01,796 --> 02:15:05,090

oh So I think Dr.

:

02:15:05,090 --> 02:15:15,632

Nikolai is like making gurgling sounds as this thing burrows into his body and he's

simultaneously on fire and like, yeah, it's quite the scene.

:

02:15:15,872 --> 02:15:17,254

flew too close to the sun there.

:

02:15:17,254 --> 02:15:27,739

Yeah, he falls over and goes in the water, but you, you know, chunked this thing out of

damage.

:

02:15:27,739 --> 02:15:30,120

Tammy and Mikhail, what are you doing?

:

02:15:30,372 --> 02:15:37,560

Same as I was always doing, clipping this as much as I can before succumbing to my wounds.

:

02:15:38,561 --> 02:15:44,603

So did it seem like the Kopotsky person was like, they're dying and on fire, correct?

:

02:15:46,067 --> 02:15:46,939

OK.

:

02:15:46,939 --> 02:15:47,299

he's gone.

:

02:15:47,299 --> 02:15:48,170

OK.

:

02:15:48,288 --> 02:15:49,118

yeah.

:

02:15:49,522 --> 02:15:51,884

55 under 65.

:

02:15:51,991 --> 02:15:52,332

Okay.

:

02:15:52,332 --> 02:15:55,056

All right, give me, what is the damage on a crit?

:

02:15:55,056 --> 02:15:56,637

I don't know how it's done.

:

02:15:56,858 --> 02:16:00,002

if this is double damage like 80 10

:

02:16:00,748 --> 02:16:01,592

yeah, let's do that.

:

02:16:01,592 --> 02:16:07,442

just did max out pretty much, like, I think if recall, but.

:

02:16:07,442 --> 02:16:13,062

Cthulhu, we're like doing max dam plus dam for piercing.

:

02:16:13,802 --> 02:16:18,422

I mean, that's, 40 plus.

:

02:16:19,423 --> 02:16:20,923

54.

:

02:16:21,174 --> 02:16:26,154

So yeah, narrate how you get this last burst off as you die.

:

02:16:26,378 --> 02:16:35,951

Michael uh essentially is like his vision is blurring but still sees like some wiggly tail

trying to burrow in within our Dr.

:

02:16:35,951 --> 02:16:50,721

Nikolai Merkin and will set his sight directly on it and as he fades to black just pulls

the trigger and just holds the trigger.

:

02:16:50,721 --> 02:17:01,729

ever so tightly as it's this is the last thing he's holding and just blasts this thing to

oblivion and just falls into the water at the same time.

:

02:17:02,354 --> 02:17:13,864

Yeah, you're in fact falling in the water helps because this thing is submerged still and

you're just like and the sound goes very dim for you and your vision goes out but you see

:

02:17:13,864 --> 02:17:24,062

your bullets like even shooting underwater at this thing it's just like and the fact that

you're in now with a death grip you cannot let go of that trigger and it is just

:

02:17:24,062 --> 02:17:27,294

continuing until it's click click click

:

02:17:27,545 --> 02:17:41,298

Tammy, you see this thing rich out of the water and go in this strange like dance as it

falls over, tries to get back up and tries to even get on Nikolai and try to get into

:

02:17:41,298 --> 02:17:43,219

Nikolai, but it can't.

:

02:17:43,219 --> 02:17:53,727

And you see it go slack there and it is you standing above your two dead human compatriots

and a reactor straight in front of you.

:

02:17:54,728 --> 02:18:02,528

Is there a way I can, I think the whole purpose of coming down here was to get that up and

going again, correct?

:

02:18:03,308 --> 02:18:05,048

That's what the cap said.

:

02:18:07,088 --> 02:18:16,348

Yeah, so I think I'm going to attempt to do that, get that up and going if there's a

terminal or something.

:

02:18:16,508 --> 02:18:17,028

Yeah.

:

02:18:17,049 --> 02:18:26,600

you get up there and you see that this stuff had grown between the contact of where the

reactor was and the array of electric contacts.

:

02:18:26,600 --> 02:18:30,683

So you would take some time to break that stuff out first.

:

02:18:32,125 --> 02:18:34,304

Yeah, with time.

:

02:18:34,555 --> 02:18:41,103

I'll let you use your intelligence to find the weak spots to break it out.

:

02:18:41,354 --> 02:18:44,068

I add computers for plus 10.

:

02:18:44,530 --> 02:18:45,390

No.

:

02:18:46,889 --> 02:18:48,931

When you use a computer, you can.

:

02:18:49,643 --> 02:18:53,254

I got a nine under 51.

:

02:18:53,254 --> 02:19:06,400

you see a load bearing part of it and you use your spatula maybe and just like push and it

starts to pop and fall down and the reactor shifts and realigns like automatically because

:

02:19:06,400 --> 02:19:17,547

it's built on these like magnetic array things around it and you see it shift back into

place and the console just needs to be activated to turn it on.

:

02:19:18,548 --> 02:19:19,623

I do that.

:

02:19:19,875 --> 02:19:23,672

Yeah, we will need a computer for this, Intelligence.

:

02:19:24,125 --> 02:19:24,920

Okay.

:

02:19:26,292 --> 02:19:27,992

Oh, nope, not quite.

:

02:19:28,192 --> 02:19:31,852

73 over modified 61.

:

02:19:33,252 --> 02:19:34,208

Add stress.

:

02:19:34,208 --> 02:19:35,522

this, add stress.

:

02:19:35,522 --> 02:19:37,747

You can attempt one more time.

:

02:19:37,998 --> 02:19:38,280

Okay.

:

02:19:38,280 --> 02:19:40,060

Ooh, 45.

:

02:19:41,460 --> 02:19:42,515

Under 61.

:

02:19:42,515 --> 02:19:56,162

extra time it took, you notice behind you that there's one more of these larger ones still

alive, and it's kind of just circling around the dead big one over and over again.

:

02:19:56,414 --> 02:19:59,627

and you hear the reactor power up.

:

02:19:59,627 --> 02:20:01,549

All the systems come alive.

:

02:20:01,549 --> 02:20:07,433

And you hear, yes, over the intercoms as the captain is like, you did it.

:

02:20:07,433 --> 02:20:08,496

thank you.

:

02:20:08,496 --> 02:20:10,345

I am not doing well.

:

02:20:10,345 --> 02:20:14,668

I've been, I keep feeling like I'm drowning, but I'm doing a little better now.

:

02:20:14,668 --> 02:20:15,748

Thank you.

:

02:20:16,750 --> 02:20:17,552

You're welcome.

:

02:20:17,552 --> 02:20:26,478

Unfortunately, Nikolai and Mikhail did not make it down here, but there's a lot of carnage

down here.

:

02:20:26,478 --> 02:20:28,809

oh

:

02:20:28,809 --> 02:20:31,981

the MRIs and meet me at the escape pods.

:

02:20:32,514 --> 02:20:33,222

Sounds good.

:

02:20:33,222 --> 02:20:34,993

We'll do over and out.

:

02:20:35,649 --> 02:20:43,309

Yeah, uh, I am so happy and the toms go dead.

:

02:20:44,129 --> 02:20:46,569

Yeah, the ship does power up.

:

02:20:46,569 --> 02:20:51,909

Are you doing anything with this last one circling its dead mother or?

:

02:20:52,910 --> 02:20:56,347

It could be nice to keep the specimen, perhaps.

:

02:20:57,019 --> 02:21:00,520

Yeah, you have your container.

:

02:21:00,911 --> 02:21:14,858

Why I say that, Well, when I hacked into the computer in the lab, a root directive was

installed in my system, and I will do anything I can to collect the specimens.

:

02:21:14,858 --> 02:21:18,133

And then I clarified to collect and perhaps protect them.

:

02:21:18,133 --> 02:21:20,395

And Nick was like, any means possible.

:

02:21:20,437 --> 02:21:22,293

It's always an Android.

:

02:21:24,035 --> 02:21:25,717

She didn't do anything nefarious though.

:

02:21:25,717 --> 02:21:36,348

Yeah, this thing is distraught from losing its mother and you're able to just kind of put

this thing in front of it and scoop it up with the seawater and you have it with you.

:

02:21:36,348 --> 02:21:41,931

You can also heft the MREs in the other hand and are you headed to the escape pods?

:

02:21:42,183 --> 02:21:42,524

Yeah.

:

02:21:42,524 --> 02:21:44,676

I don't think there were any other survivors, correct?

:

02:21:44,676 --> 02:21:47,027

It's just Cap and I?

:

02:21:48,502 --> 02:21:49,646

Yeah.

:

02:21:49,889 --> 02:22:03,584

You get to the escape pod hatch you have to bend down he's already in one like getting

stuff ready and flipping through things and you see him kind of double over and be like my

:

02:22:03,584 --> 02:22:11,787

head hurts so bad come on it's a stupid eye thing like it he must have really stabbed me

you have the the food

:

02:22:12,398 --> 02:22:14,160

Yes, yes, yes.

:

02:22:14,160 --> 02:22:18,474

I believe there are also rations already on the pods.

:

02:22:18,474 --> 02:22:20,095

Good for two weeks.

:

02:22:20,516 --> 02:22:22,477

Fair call with the pass notes.

:

02:22:22,477 --> 02:22:23,278

yes.

:

02:22:23,421 --> 02:22:24,283

we're gonna need more.

:

02:22:24,283 --> 02:22:30,530

And he grabs the crate from you, brings it down, and he reaches up to bring you in.

:

02:22:30,530 --> 02:22:31,651

Are you ready?

:

02:22:31,902 --> 02:22:32,597

Yeah, I think so.

:

02:22:32,597 --> 02:22:33,831

Yeah.

:

02:22:34,446 --> 02:22:39,423

Yeah, you get in and he crosses his fingers and he says, we just look.

:

02:22:39,423 --> 02:22:43,828

And he goes to the console and he says, do you want to do the honors?

:

02:22:43,828 --> 02:22:49,694

And there's just a big old red button, the satisfying red button there as this thing

shuts.

:

02:22:50,695 --> 02:22:57,357

Uh, I think you would find it more satisfactory and more exciting for your human self.

:

02:22:57,357 --> 02:22:58,766

You could go ahead and do it.

:

02:22:58,766 --> 02:23:11,251

Yeah, he laughs and smacks it and the ship shakes and you feel power rerouting to this and

you hear things moving all around, right?

:

02:23:11,251 --> 02:23:15,791

and this thing is in a tube that shoots out either the top or the bottom of it.

:

02:23:15,791 --> 02:23:20,751

It's gonna have to go out of the top and you just feel like the G-forces hit.

:

02:23:20,751 --> 02:23:23,251

If you were a human, your stomach would drop, right?

:

02:23:23,251 --> 02:23:31,431

And the pod tears free and there's a big view hole where it is and it's about...

:

02:23:31,709 --> 02:23:42,371

the side, it's probably about the size of a pickup truck, but standing up and you're

flying through and you pass all these sea creatures and you're deep, deep in the water.

:

02:23:42,371 --> 02:23:52,809

You're in the water for a lot as this thing is creating out and then it breaks free and

you see the mist come off of it as the water starts to dissipate and there looks like

:

02:23:52,809 --> 02:23:54,170

there's atmosphere here.

:

02:23:54,170 --> 02:23:57,603

It looks strange though and you're flying.

:

02:23:57,642 --> 02:24:03,918

Really high, are you looking out and just kind of surveying or are just enjoying the ride

from, yeah, you're surveying.

:

02:24:03,918 --> 02:24:10,958

Yeah, I think she has a curious nature, so she would look out and see what sights there is

to see.

:

02:24:10,958 --> 02:24:17,816

Yeah, you see just this massive complex on a cliffside next to the water.

:

02:24:17,816 --> 02:24:21,981

It looks like corporate world made as you're passing out.

:

02:24:21,981 --> 02:24:25,426

Like this is not anything the collective would have built.

:

02:24:25,426 --> 02:24:28,388

You see logos that you don't recognize.

:

02:24:28,569 --> 02:24:40,928

very strange lettering with them and you fly up and break through the atmosphere and are

into space and the captain is wheezing and laughing the g-forces got to him a little bit

:

02:24:40,928 --> 02:24:54,066

he's like collective we made it and he's like I'm gonna try to get the comms to work he

starts typing away and then yeah he looks down and he kind of coughs

:

02:24:54,066 --> 02:25:07,323

And you from the side you see something pushing out on his throat like Just pushing and

pushing and pushing and it's starting to bulge and he reaches out to you and his one eye

:

02:25:07,323 --> 02:25:09,706

left wide open He's like and he can't scream.

:

02:25:09,706 --> 02:25:12,511

He can't even talk and then blood starts to

:

02:25:12,511 --> 02:25:26,236

come out of his mouth and this part of his throat tears open as one of these things slip

out of him onto the ground and he lays there in a fetal position immediately and this

:

02:25:26,236 --> 02:25:37,638

thing dives right back in and is crawling around in him and you are in the pod with this

thing alone as it's feasting on the captain.

:

02:25:38,639 --> 02:25:40,140

didn't think he'd make it that long.

:

02:25:40,140 --> 02:25:46,053

Yeah, I think Tammy just, is he still alive or is he dead?

:

02:25:46,053 --> 02:25:47,299

Is he gone?

:

02:25:47,580 --> 02:25:49,165

Yeah, give me one last roll.

:

02:25:49,165 --> 02:25:52,765

You can roll your first aid to tell that with your intelligence.

:

02:25:52,796 --> 02:25:59,096

Okay, ah, it's a 70 over, over 51.

:

02:25:59,233 --> 02:26:00,574

Good old Tammy.

:

02:26:00,730 --> 02:26:02,531

Yeah, yeah, he's alive.

:

02:26:02,992 --> 02:26:03,892

I don't know.

:

02:26:03,892 --> 02:26:07,842

He doesn't have a pulse, but he's moving like he's like twitching and stuff.

:

02:26:07,842 --> 02:26:10,359

And you're just like, okay, maybe he'll come back from this.

:

02:26:10,359 --> 02:26:16,285

And Tammy, you are flying towards the Trotsky with two alien specimens from this planet.

:

02:26:16,285 --> 02:26:18,046

And that's where we'll end.

:

02:26:19,136 --> 02:26:29,230

So this scenario is called Alone in the Deep, which I rewrote from the ground up to be

completely different, but there's some things that are the same.
