Dr Peter Parnell began his role as Chief Executive Officer at Angus Australia in May 2009 following an extensive career as a Research Scientist and Research Leader with the NSW Department of Primary Industries. In 2021 Dr Parnell quietly announced that he would be retiring from his position of CEO, concluding a near 40-year career serving the Australian cattle breeding industry, with particular interest in the application of genetic improvement technologies in both the registered cattle sector and wider beef industry.
