Kingdom Leader's Journey in the Marketplace with Michelle Mays
#96: Have you heard God's call to start a business and are unsure on how to to take action on God's call for your business?
If so, I'd like to introduce to you, Michelle Mays! After working for 8 years as an executive assistant in corporate America, Michelle switched careers and used those planning skills to start her own business as the Chief Concierge for luxury wedding planning in New York. Not exactly the most conventional way to start a business either.
Michelle created a process called EDR, Engage, Design and Reveal which revamped the way that she tackles wedding planning and makes it easy for both her and her clients, prospective brides and grooms to be, have a clear picture of what the wedding is going to look like.
So what are you waiting for? Let's dive into my conversation with Michelle about how she started her entrepreneurial journey and why honor plays such a huge role in it.
Key Lessons From This Episode:
Her journey from corporate America to luxury wedding planner
Why active listening is just as much about what is not said
Her process for planning weddings
Challenges she has faced within the industry
Why her approach to wedding planning is different from other wedding planners
Difference she saw before and after she was in POOF
Why we shouldn't try to blend in
