Speaker:

Everyone, welcome to The BAGO Mic, powered by student voices—where students lead the way.

We are a fifth-grade class from Mr. Kleve’s class at a Winnebago Public School. Around here, some people like to call him Mr. Funky Teacher. This podcast is created by us, for the world, and we are proud of it.

We are broadcasting from the Winnebago Native American Reservation, home of the Ho-Chunk people, right here in the heart of the Winnebago, Nebraska community.

The BAGO Mic gives us a real mic, a real voice, and a real audience. In each episode, you hear us. You hear our stories, ideas, dreams, and truths—all from the heart of Winnebago.

You hear us talk about our schools, our families, our cultures, and our community. We talk about what we’re learning, the choices we face, and what it means to come from greatness.

We believe the Creator gives us wisdom, and we pass that wisdom on through youth voices as we continue learning about this life.

We share stories, provide service, show leadership, and honor who we are. We talk about our school, what we’re learning, what challenges us, and what excites us.

As learners, we explore cultural traditions and activities that matter to us. We try to honor our elders through this podcast and shine a light on the people and values that shape who we are.

Along the way, we celebrate Native voices, community, strength, and the power of being seen and heard.

The BAGO Mic, powered by student voices.

Remember: your voice matters, our story matters, and you matter.

This is The BAGO Mic.

See you next time.
