I'll also share other topics that will be covered in 2025 all which build upon the foundation we have set in 2024.

This episode serves as a reflective pause, allowing you to consider your own paths as I outline the plans for the upcoming year.

Let's go to the show.

Key Take-aways:

  • 03:31 - Looking Ahead to 2025

Heavenly Position Guidance Challenge:

For this week’s HPS Challenge, take out your journal and I want you to take some time and think about 2025 and what your intention is for it. What is it that you hope to experience in 2025? Do you want to be joyful? Do you want to be excited? Do you want to be intentional?

Think of all the words that might describe something and see what you really want 2025 to hold and be in prayer about it with God and actually pray with Him to help you and guide you.

Ask Him, Father, what is mine to do in 2025 and sit with Him. May be you get some answers right away or you may have to sit with it for a while, but He'll be faithful to answer.

Angie Robertson:

It doesn't hurt to rest our souls and rest our bodies.

Angie Robertson:

on the remaining schedule for:

Angie Robertson:

So now let's talk about:

Angie Robertson:

opics to cover in the year of:

Angie Robertson:

nd I have outlined so far for:

Angie Robertson:

If I haven't said that already, the one thing that I am super passionate about and love to talk about and let me back up and just say that, you know, I talk about the Enneagram here a lot, which is a personality test of sorts.

Angie Robertson:

It's a personality test on steroids, in my opinion, and I am a personality test queen.

Angie Robertson:

I love them so much.

Angie Robertson:

I've probably taken every personality test there is out there.

Angie Robertson:

In fact, I was going into career counseling and personality tests are predominantly what is used when helping students identify their future careers.

Angie Robertson:

I am actually a certified career coach, so I love learning about personalities and what makes us up and how each of us are unique and individual.

Angie Robertson:

But did you know that the Bible really is the foundation of all of that?

Angie Robertson:

Your Enneagram, Myers Briggs Strength Finders?

Angie Robertson:

All those tests really can stem from the Bible and where, you might ask Spiritual gifts The Bible actually talks about three categories of gifts.

Angie Robertson:

There are the manifestation gifts, the ministry gifts, and the motivational gifts.

Angie Robertson:

The motivational gifts are where we're going to spend our time next year because that is for us individually as humans.

Angie Robertson:

That is how God designed us from the start.

Angie Robertson:

And each of us has a specific set of motivational Gifts that's unique for us and for what God has called us to do on this earth.

Angie Robertson:

And these gifts aren't for us though.

Angie Robertson:

They are for us to use with others to further the kingdom of God.

Angie Robertson:

So I can't wait to share with you what those are and really dive deep into each one.

Angie Robertson:

We're going to explore each of them.

Angie Robertson:

There are actually seven motivational gifts and you can have a combination of any of them.

Angie Robertson:

And someone may have the same gift with you, the main gift, but because of the secondary gift, it makes you set apart and different, which makes it so much more fascinating.

Angie Robertson:

And the other thing that we will talk about and uncover is that you've been operating in your motivational gift all your life.

Angie Robertson:

It's not something that you're just going to discover and all of a sudden say, oh my gosh, I've got my purpose and now I can live it.

Angie Robertson:

You've already been operating in this gift and we'll explore that.

Angie Robertson:

I did this with my virtual assistant students a few years ago.

Angie Robertson:

We went over the motivational gifts and I was able to show each student how she has already been operating in her gift all throughout her life.

Angie Robertson:

It wasn't something new, she just had discovered.

Angie Robertson:

So now the students could combine their knowledge with their history and with what God was calling them to do and their desires of their heart to continue to further operating in their motivational gifts.

Angie Robertson:

I was so honored to witness that kind of light bulb moment each of them had, and that moment meant everything to me.

Angie Robertson:

I am looking forward to exploring that with each of you and helping you find your motivational gift and ways for me to work with you one on one to be able to discover that for yourself if you need further assistance.

Angie Robertson:

It is a topic that I am so passionate about and I cannot wait to dive into it.

Angie Robertson:

It really lights me up if you can't tell.

Angie Robertson:

Already in:

Angie Robertson:

For those of you who have been longtime listeners, you might remember back when we did the two way communication with God and I did that whole series on how to hear from God and I wanted to do it early in the year, but God was like, nope, you can't do that.

Angie Robertson:

We have to build a foundation.

Angie Robertson:

We've got some healing of our souls to do before we can move forward.

Angie Robertson:

And we did that with the Soul Care series.

Angie Robertson:

And now we have laid the foundation on how to hear from God to prepare us now to be able to hear and really understand who God is and how he designed us So I can't wait to share with you these motivational gifts.

Angie Robertson:

It's going to be so amazing and so special.

Angie Robertson:

We'll also talk a little bit about the other two gifts, the ministry gifts and the manifestation gifts.

Angie Robertson:

Not going to spend a ton of time on them.

Angie Robertson:

I'm going to give you just enough information so that you understand what they are, how they come about and how they operate.

Angie Robertson:

But our main focus is going to be on the motivational gifts each of us has as a believer and that we've been given by God.

Angie Robertson:

And once you uncover it, it unlocks a whole other layer of knowing who you are, which in turn helps you to understand who God is more, which is what I say at the beginning of every episode.

Angie Robertson:

I also want to say that I'm not doing this blindly.

Angie Robertson:

I actually took training through Don and Katie Fortune.

Angie Robertson:

I found a book called Discover your God given Gifts, and it's written by Don and Katie Fortune, and we'll use this as our reference guide.

Angie Robertson:

Now, Don and Katie had both passed away by the time I discovered the book, but I reached out to the organization because I learned that they had certified people in the spiritual or the motivational gifts training.

Angie Robertson:

It was a little bit difficult because everything was kind of in litigation since Katie had passed fairly recently.

Angie Robertson:

But now their son is kind of taking over everything and moving forward with being able to certify people.

Angie Robertson:

So I reached out to them to get my certification so that I could speak on this.

Angie Robertson:

So I'm not going blindly into this.

Angie Robertson:

So I'll put the link to the book in the show notes in case you want to get a jumpstart and be prepared for when we begin covering these gifts.

Angie Robertson:

But you don't have to.

Angie Robertson:

So don't worry.

Angie Robertson:

You don't need to buy the book.

Angie Robertson:

We're not going to go verbatim.

Angie Robertson:

I'm not going to be reading specifically out of the book.

Angie Robertson:

I'll definitely be sharing.

Angie Robertson:

But the book does help.

Angie Robertson:

And a lot of what I'll be sharing is pulled from the book.

Angie Robertson:

Now, one of my hopes is I would love to get individuals who know what their motivational gift is and that have been operating in that and have them come on the show and have like seven different people on in each of the gift areas.

Angie Robertson:

That's my hope.

Angie Robertson:

I don't know if that's going to be possible because not a lot of people talk about spiritual gifts.

Angie Robertson:

I think the church and we as believers, we have lumped these three categories all into one and just called it spiritual gifts.

Angie Robertson:

And you Take a test and you can be all the things.

Angie Robertson:

But really and truly, there are very.

Angie Robertson:

They're very different.

Angie Robertson:

There's three distinct categories.

Angie Robertson:

The Bible lays out the three distinct categories and names them as such.

Angie Robertson:

And each of those gifts in those categories are very specific in how they show up.

Angie Robertson:

And we will really suss them out and understand what the Bible says about the different gifts and the different categories of gifts and the purpose and the way that they show up and how they are used and how we can further walk in our gifts and those gifts.

Angie Robertson:

And when I learned what my gifts are, it really helped me in how I show up and to really embrace the way that God designed me and embrace the way that what he was calling me to do.

Angie Robertson:

And I'm not going to share my gifts yet.

Angie Robertson:

You'll have to stay tuned for:

Angie Robertson:

So stay tuned for more and I will be sure to share my gifts.

Angie Robertson:

What my gifts are.

Angie Robertson:

I'm not sure if I'll share it at the beginning or at the end.

Angie Robertson:

I'll probably share it at the end because you'll need to understand what the gifts are to or in order for you to understand what my gifts are.

Angie Robertson:

e up a lot of our episodes in:

Angie Robertson:

God wants me to talk about the fruit of the Spirit.

Angie Robertson:

There are nine characteristics of the spirit, which also is the fruit of the Spirit, not fruits, plural.

Angie Robertson:

One fruit with nine characteristics of that fruit.

Angie Robertson:

We have the Holy Spirit residing in us, and the fruit of the Spirit is what comes out of us because he is residing in us.

Angie Robertson:

And the more that we allow the Spirit to lead, the more that the fruit starts to produce.

Angie Robertson:

We'll look at each one of the characteristics of the Fruit of the Spirit and dive deeper into it.

Angie Robertson:

And what does that mean and what does that look like and how do we display that?

Angie Robertson:

Because I don't know about you, but operating in the fruit of the Spirit, love, joy, peace, kindness, gentleness, self control, all of them.

Angie Robertson:

It's sometimes challenging, and there are times I can operate more freely in one of the characteristics than I can the other.

Angie Robertson:

But remember, it's one fruit.

Angie Robertson:

It all has to work together.

Angie Robertson:

It is a topic that I've been trying to kind of wrap my head around.

Angie Robertson:

So we'll go do that together.

Angie Robertson:

Why not explore it together?

Angie Robertson:

I'm not going to do it by myself.

Angie Robertson:

Let's just do it together.

Angie Robertson:

that we're going to cover in:

Angie Robertson:

sode of the year, to kick off:

Angie Robertson:

So when we do that in January, the first episode in January, it'll be my December reflection.

Angie Robertson:

So I'm going to do it a little different.

Angie Robertson:

Usually I do a reflection of our body, soul and spirit.

Angie Robertson:

I am actually this month, I'm recording this in December.

Angie Robertson:

You're hearing this in December.

Angie Robertson:

I'm actually doing my goals and my word of the year.

Angie Robertson:

to share what I do to wrap up:

Angie Robertson:

I'll also share what my word of the year is and how I go about finding it and why I do the word of the year.

Angie Robertson:

And I share these things as an encouragement for you to kind of reflect for yourself.

Angie Robertson:

you now to start thinking of:

Angie Robertson:

Certainly it's not something that you have to do.

Angie Robertson:

about and have intentions for:

Angie Robertson:

I was listening to a podcast recently where a person was talking about our minds being like, we don't want to go.

Angie Robertson:

Our minds don't want to go.

Angie Robertson:

Our souls don't want to go into the unknown.

Angie Robertson:

It doesn't light the unknown.

Angie Robertson:

Whereas the Holy Spirit wants to be in the unknown.

Angie Robertson:

That's where everything that we want to experience, if we allow, if we live by our spirits, everything that we want to experience of God is there.

Angie Robertson:

And it's also the unknown.

Angie Robertson:

It come.

Angie Robertson:

What comes within are unknown things.

Angie Robertson:

And she likened it to, like, going to Target and how you walk into Target and you can see all the things.

Angie Robertson:

It has things that you want.

Angie Robertson:

You're going there for a specific purpose, and it has things that you don't want.

Angie Robertson:

And if you've ever been to Target and you, you're going in there for, let's say, a can of hairspray, and you walk out with a buggy full of stuff later, you know what I'm talking about, you go in with the intention of one thing, but you come out with others.

Angie Robertson:

And some of those things are things that you didn't know that you needed.

Angie Robertson:

And some things are things that you did need and you forgot.

Angie Robertson:

But you go in and there's everything that you can need is in the store.

Angie Robertson:

And there's also things in there that you don't need.

Angie Robertson:

Like maybe you don't need hemorrhoid cream.

Angie Robertson:

I mean, I know that's pretty out there.

Angie Robertson:

I'm sure you're probably laughing to hear me say that, but it's there, right?

Angie Robertson:

It's the same with when we set our intentions.

Angie Robertson:

And she said that if we go in and we don't have a list of what, you know, like we go in with our intentions of what we want, then we're basically on a subscription basis, meaning that we're just going to keep getting the same thing over and over and over and over and over again.

Angie Robertson:

And I loved that analogy.

Angie Robertson:

And it also the way she didn't say this, but I took it a step further and say that while I go in there into the unknown and I get things that I need and I might get things that I didn't know that I needed, I also don't have to necessarily get the things that I don't want either.

Angie Robertson:

I don't have to get that hemorrhoid cream.

Angie Robertson:

It can sit there on the shelf.

Angie Robertson:

A lot of times we fear going into the unknown because we're afraid of the bad things that are going to happen and that's what stops us.

Angie Robertson:

think about the intention for:

Angie Robertson:

In fact, Dave and I sat down and I'm not putting this up on a pedestal because we don't normally do this.

Angie Robertson:

We don't normally sit down and do goals for the year.

Angie Robertson:

But this particular year we are, because it has been, as I've shared in the last episode, the last five years have been very, very challenging and I really wanted to sit down and get on the same page together.

Angie Robertson:

We looked at:

Angie Robertson:

We looked at our personal life, our ministry life, what we wanted as a couple, what we wanted as individuals.

Angie Robertson:

We also talked about kind of doing a mid year check in because we set a goal that we want to track.

Angie Robertson:

It's something that's super important to us and it's kind of critical and it affects a lot of other areas in our life.

Angie Robertson:

So we are going to do a mid year check in that will help us to know if we have more clarity on this goal or if we need to adjust it or whatever.

Angie Robertson:

And we're going to ask ourselves questions like did we resolve it and we just need to be all in on it or Are there things that need to shift and now is the time to actually make that change?

Angie Robertson:

What does that mean to make the change?

Angie Robertson:

What is our place to make those shifts?

Angie Robertson:

And where do we lean into God to make those shifts?

Angie Robertson:

first episode of our recap of:

Angie Robertson:

I can't wait to kind of dive into that.

Angie Robertson:

It's one of my favorite things to do, is kind of a year and wrap up and do my own reflection of the year and what's to come.

Angie Robertson:

As for other topics in:

Angie Robertson:

I really enjoy doing those.

Angie Robertson:

I get a lot of great feedback.

Angie Robertson:

I think it really inspires you to do your own reflection.

Angie Robertson:

It also gives you some resources and things to think about.

Angie Robertson:

And I might tweak them and adjust them a little bit and have a little more engagement for each of the areas.

Angie Robertson:

So we'll see.

Angie Robertson:

I'm kind of playing with that.

Angie Robertson:

But we'll still do the monthly reflections.

Angie Robertson:

Something else I'm exploring with God is sharing pages from my journal where I've had a dialogue with Him.

Angie Robertson:

It is something that's kind of intrigued me, and I'm asking Him a little bit more about that and what that would look like, because there's a lot of dialogue that he and I have sometimes.

Angie Robertson:

And there's things that are kind of universal that anyone could hear, and some things are not.

Angie Robertson:

So we've been doing these journaling with Jesus sessions, and on one of the sessions, he gave me something to share with the participants.

Angie Robertson:

So it could even be just journaling with him and then asking him something that he wants to share.

Angie Robertson:

And I mean, I do that every week with these episodes.

Angie Robertson:

I build them with him.

Angie Robertson:

Whatever I'm sharing with you is something that he and I have worked on together.

Angie Robertson:

But these are specific messages from him, actually, dialogue that I've had in my journal.

Angie Robertson:

That's something else that I'm considering sharing next year as kind of pages from my journal, if you will, something that he's given me to share with you.

Angie Robertson:

I feel like that could help inspire you and encourage you to have your own dialogue with him and really start to hear his voice.

Angie Robertson:

Because sometimes if we hear others experience of hearing God's voice, it encourages us.

Angie Robertson:

Also, in January, we will be celebrating a year of this podcast, so I can't wait.

Angie Robertson:

We have so much and so many more exciting things.

Angie Robertson:

To come.

Angie Robertson:

I'm doing a refresh of the Spirit Led Life brand, a new episode song, and all these amazing topics.

Angie Robertson:

cited about what's to come in:

Angie Robertson:

If I haven't said that like 5,000 times already by now, it's always a time of hope and I love that about the end of a year and the beginning of the year.

Angie Robertson:

It's just something for me.

Angie Robertson:

It's.

Angie Robertson:

It's special.

Angie Robertson:

So before we wrap up, I have two more things.

Angie Robertson:

First, I want to wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas.

Angie Robertson:

I know the holidays can be a time of extreme joy for some and painful for others.

Angie Robertson:

I completely understand and I want to encourage you that everything is a season.

Angie Robertson:

We talked about this in the last episode.

Angie Robertson:

I have been in a season where December was challenging for me.

Angie Robertson:

It's the month that I lost my dad many, many, many years ago.

Angie Robertson:

It has also been a time of extreme joy for me as well.

Angie Robertson:

Either way, we can all agree that Jesus being born on this earth is the Savior we all need and he can fill all those gaps.

Angie Robertson:

He's with you in joy and in mourning.

Angie Robertson:

You're never alone.

Angie Robertson:

I also want to take this time to invite you to be a part of the Spirit Led Life community if you're not already.

Angie Robertson:

And how you can do that is by joining our mailing list.

Angie Robertson:

If you go to spiritledlifepodcast.com you will see the subscriber form and down towards the bottom you can fill it out and you'll be added to the list.

Angie Robertson:

You'll be notified when new episodes release and I share things in those emails that I don't share anywhere else.

Angie Robertson:

You'll also learn about the Journaling with Jesus sessions that you can join as well as other things.

Angie Robertson:

So be sure to sign up@spiritledlifepodcast.com and you won't miss another episode.

Angie Robertson:

And now you're a part of this wonderful growing community.

Angie Robertson:

ying earlier, and think about:

Angie Robertson:

hat you hope to experience in:

Angie Robertson:

Do you want to be joyful?

Angie Robertson:

Do you want to be excited?

Angie Robertson:

Do you want to be intentional?

Angie Robertson:

and see what you really want:

Angie Robertson:

Father, what is mine to do in:

Angie Robertson:

And it may be you get some answers right away or you may have to sit with it for a while, but he'll be faithful to answer.

Angie Robertson:

I encourage you to take these weeks where we'll have no episodes and sit with this question and just ask him.

Angie Robertson:

As I close I am going to read a prayer out of the Power of a Praying Woman.

Angie Robertson:

I've read out of this book many, many times and I'll be sure to link to it in the show notes.

Angie Robertson:

The title of this prayer is Lord, lead me into the future you have for me.

Angie Robertson:

Lord, I put my future in your hands and ask that you would give me total peace about it.

Angie Robertson:

I want to be in the center of your plans for my life knowing you have given me everything I need for what is ahead.

Angie Robertson:

I pray you would give me strength to endure without giving up.

Angie Robertson:

You have said that he who endures to the end will be saved.

Angie Robertson:

Help me to run the race in a way that I shall finish strong and receive the prize you have for me.

Angie Robertson:

Help me to be always watchful in my prayers because I don't know when the end of my life will be.

Angie Robertson:

Amen.

Angie Robertson:

Thank you for joining me on today's episode.

Angie Robertson:

This episode was produced, recorded and edited by me, Angie Robertson.

Angie Robertson:

I look forward to joining you each Thursday for a new episode as we explore together how to have a spirit led life.
