Carmelita:
Are you a mom raising tween or teen girls? Have you ever been stumped like me by something they've asked or done and you've fumbled in the moment for the right words or reactions? Have you ever wondered what are your girls learning from you, whether you want them to or not?
It's so hard to keep up with all of the challenges that our girls face, much less knowing how to react, all while juggling the demands of work, health, finances, other relationships, etcetera. I have struggled to keep up with all of the issues and things that my daughters face. It made me realize, I wanted digestible nuggets of information to help me navigate these roller coaster years.
Carmelita:
Welcome to Know them, Be them, Raise them - a show about raising tween and teen girls, to help mindful, progressive, time-strapped moms like me stay informed and inspired, so they can show up for themselves and their daughters the way they want to. I'm Carmelita Tiu, your host and mom of 2 girls myself.
Carmelita:
Each week, we'll learn about issues facing our girls, like body image, mindfulness, gender identity, and more. We'll hear from experts and moms who've been there, and I'll read a curated selection of articles - with the author's permission of course. We'll also discuss ways to show up more fully for ourselves. My hope is that you will come away from each episode with new insights, resolve, and actionable tips that'll help you and your daughter feel grounded and empowered. I hope you'll join me on this journey. To learn more and subscribe, visit www.knowberaisethem.com or hit subscribe in your favorite podcast app. Thanks for listening.
