Welcome to our fifth episode of Beating The Odds with mentalist and memory expert, Jim Karol.
Allow Jim to take you on a journey, from his days as a steelworker in Allentown, PA to becoming one of the most extraordinary minds the world has ever seen. Over his career of 3500+ live shows, multiple USO tours, world records, and books, Jim has created extraordinary skills and mental talents that are unique to him only.
But now, Jim is sharing his knowledge of memory and interviewing others that are making an impact in our world. BTO guests range from top military leaders and former athletes, to some of the most brilliant people in the science and medical fields.
On Episode 5 of Beating The Odds, we have one of those brilliant people, Dr. Robert Ajemian. Robert is a research scientist and professor at MIT whose recent work is based on two problems. The first, developing a “sports neuroscience” - connecting kinesiology and neuroscience together to identify and understand common heuristics. The second, to train a brain-machine or brain-body to perform actions just like a human would. This work has been the basis for his fascination with Jim and in this conversation, they dive into some of the reasoning behind Jim’s incredible mental abilities.
