The leaning Tower of Pisa wasn’t meant to lean. But they built it on a poor foundation and things went sideways. Literally.  I’m Dan Hansen and this is a Minute at RepcoLite sponsored by Benjamin Moore.

Now, the lean of the leaning tower of pisa is what makes it cool today. But that’s beside the point. The bigger point is that foundations matter. Same is true in the world of paint. And in the world of paint, foundations are determined by the prep work you do before you tackle a project. Prep work isn’t flashy, it isn’t fun, but what you do in the prep stages–and how well you do it–determines the foundation your paint is applied to. If the foundation is solid and well formed, you’re that much closer to great results. But if you skimp on the foundation–on the prep–you are setting yourself up for frustration and failure.

A leaning tower of Pisa can still be cool. Paint that falls off your cabinet doors when you walk past them isn’t. Not even a little. So accept and embrace the prep–it’s what makes or breaks your project. I’m Dan Hansen and that’s a minute at RepcoLite.
