Being a parent is not an entrepreneurial disadvantage. For a really long time, I did feel like my life was harder because I'm a single mom running a business. But at a certain point, I realized this belief was not serving me.
Today, I'm sharing an episode of Chingona Revolution that I recorded with two of my close friends, Erika Cruz and Cat Del Carmen a few months ago. If you've been listening for a while, you know that motherhood affects all of my decisions as a business owner.
So if you're a parent, I know this conversation will make you feel seen and understood. What I know is that I would not have become an entrepreneur if I wasn't a mother. Motherhood allowed me to dream a little differently. I needed to move past my corporate career because I wanted a life that was truly designed to make space for my daughter.
We all know that motherhood and entrepreneurship do not come with a "one size fits all" prescription. That's why I'm excited for you to tune into this episode and get multiple perspectives!
In this episode, we chat about:
- Navigating grief during pregnancy
- How we make decisions and approach risk, knowing we have mouths to feed
- How we manage our time and energy
- Why releasing control is such a huge key to navigating entrepreneurship as a mother
