Each and every episode reminds us of the certainty of the goodness of the future and provides the teachings, tools and timeless wisdom inspiring you to create real, lasting change in your life and in the world. If you've been desiring a sanctuary for your spirit, a place to go to tune out the distraction, negativity and doom and gloom so that you can tap into the deep power, the vibrancy and the potential you have inside, you're in the right place. Welcome to A Changed Mind. I'm David Bayer and I'm honored to guide you through this meditation designed to calm and regulate your nervous system. Calming your nervous system is one of the most beneficial practices you can engage in. It creates the foundation for abundance, health, joy, spiritual connection, and a more profound relationship with the intelligence of the universe, God, or life itself. Your nervous system acts as a communication channel between you and this universal intelligence. When you move into a calm, parasympathetic state, you naturally become more connected to all of life. To begin, I invite you to think of something you cherish deeply in your life. Allow yourself to turn your attention inward and settle into this moment. Take a nice deep inhale, filling your lungs completely, and then a slow, deep exhale. As you release your breath, let go of any tension or stress that may have accumulated not just in the last 24 hours, but over the past several days, weeks, months or even years. Feel this release as a softening in your body and a weight gently lifting off of your mind. Relax into this moment. There is nothing you need to do, no effort required. Simply listen to my words and allow your nervous system to recalibrate naturally. Calming your nervous system is not about trying to relax. It's about gently letting go of the patterns of stress, worry and tension that we unconsciously carry throughout our day. Even as you listen now, your nervous system is beginning to return to its natural baseline, a state of calm, peace and balance. This return to homeostasis fosters a profound sense of well being. It creates space for health, wealth, prosperity, love and spiritual alignment to flow effortlessly into your life. It's a process that happens naturally, without force, when you stop engaging with the thoughts and emotions that create tension. The beautiful thing about the nervous system is it's always going to return to its natural baseline as long as we are not unconsciously engaging in stressful thoughts and emotions. By listening to this meditation, you're doing the one thing necessary to create healing, connection and forward progress in your life. You're breaking the patterns of habit in the unconscious mind and the negative belief systems that keep us in a stressful state day to day. In other words, there isn't anything you need to do to downregulate your nervous system. It's simply about not doing the stress, anxiety and overwhelm we've become habituated to. By listening to these words, you're putting your attention on something else. Already during the course of this meditation, your nervous system is starting to recalibrate. Take another deep inhale and exhale. Feel the gentle rhythm of your breath, soothing your body and mind. As we continue, I'll guide you through bringing attention to various aspects of your experience to retrain your nervous system toward higher vibrational emotional states. Calm and peace. The beautiful thing about this practice is that by shifting your attention away from habitual stress and towards something as simple as your body or your breath, you're already helping your nervous system recalibrate. It's not about trying to feel calm, but allowing calmness to emerge naturally as your mind focuses on anything other than the source of stress. Now, gently bring your awareness to your physical body. Notice that you exist inside this incredible organism, a miraculous creation that allows you to experience life. Gently place your awareness on your left hand. Feel its presence. Then shift your awareness to your right hand. Now notice your arms, shoulders and upper back. Take a moment to sense the weight of your body where it is resting. Bring your attention down to your pelvis and hips, then to your legs and finally to your feet. Notice the sensations in each part of your body. Do you feel warmth, tingling? A sense of peace or neutrality? Whatever you're experiencing is perfect. By shifting your attention to your body, you've moved away from the worries of the day, allowing your nervous system to relax and return to its natural state. Spend a few more moments here feeling gratitude for your body and the gift of being alive. I invite you to think of something you cherish deeply in your life. It could be a person, a place, an experience, or even a memory that fills you with joy. Why is this so important to you? As you reflect, notice the sensations this thought creates in your body. Perhaps it's warmth in your chest, a sense of excitement, joy or tenderness. Let these feelings expand, filling you from the inside out. As you rest in this positive state, your nervous system recalibrates further toward harmony and balance. This simple act of focusing on something you love profoundly shifts your vibration, aligning you with the energy of peace and abundance. Take another deep inhale, and as you exhale, let these feelings settle deeply into your being. Life is simple when we let go of resistance. In moments of calm like this, we create space. Space for solutions to arise, for synchronicities to align, and for miracles to unfold naturally. Imagine your nervous system as an antenna, constantly receiving and transmitting information. With each inhale, you are fine tuning this antenna to the frequency of peace, abundance and love. With each exhale, you release any tension or interference that no longer serves you. As you continue to breathe, feel how this process strengthens your connection to life into the universal intelligence that is always guiding you. Each time you return to a calm and balanced state. Even after moments of stress, you build resilience in your nervous system. Think of this practice as strengthening a muscle. The more you use it, the stronger it becomes. Now take a moment to appreciate yourself for engaging in this meditation. Many have the opportunity to practice, but few choose to commit. By being here, you are retraining your mind and body to align with the person you were always meant to be. A person of peace, presence, and limitless potential. Let's deepen this practice by expanding your awareness outward. Imagine that you are radiating calm energy from your heart center. See this energy as a soft light glowing brightly within you. As you inhale, see the light growing stronger with each exhale. Imagine it spreading out beyond your body, filling the space around you. This energy is your natural state of being peaceful, expansive and connected. Notice how it feels to rest in this expansive state. Now imagine this light connecting with the energy of the earth beneath you. Feel the stability and grounding presence of the Earth supporting you. With your next breath, imagine the light extending upward, connecting you to the infinite intelligence of the universe. You are held in perfect balance between these two forces, grounded in the Earth and aligned with the universe. Take a moment to reflect on how this calmness will ripple through your day. Notice how even the smallest acts of alignment can create profound changes in your experience of life. For example, the calm state you've cultivated might allow you to respond more thoughtfully in a conversation, turning conflict into connection. You might notice solutions to problems arising naturally without the mental struggle that often accompanies stress. This alignment can also manifest as moments of synchronicity. A kind word from a stranger, an opportunity appearing at the right time, a sudden sense of clarity about a decision you've been considering. Even mundane tasks like making a meal or walking to your car might feel more enjoyable. As you carry this calm energy with you. Small moments of peace add up, transforming your day and ultimately your life. Take a deep breath and let this reflection settle within you. To integrate this practice, let's return to the sensations of your body. Bring your awareness back to your hands, your arms, your shoulders and your back. Notice how your body feels now compared to when we began. Perhaps there's a sense of lightness, ease, or stillness. Take a moment to thank yourself for showing up today. By choosing this practice, you are aligning with the best version of yourself, the person you were always destined to become. Before we end, take one last deep inhale, filling your lungs completely, and then a slow, deep exhale, letting go of any remaining stress, tension or worry. Feel these specific emotions dissolve as you release your breath. Know that this state of peace is always available to you, no matter what is happening in your external world. When you're ready, gently bring your awareness back to your surroundings. Slowly open your eyes, taking in the space around you with a renewed sense of presence and gratitude. Thank you for allowing me to guide you through this meditation. May the calm and balance you've cultivated today stay with you always. I love you very much and wish you a blessed and peaceful day.
