Section 1

A fresh season in ministry does not always need to be manufactured through extensive planning; sometimes the better approach is allowing the Holy Spirit to develop things organically. Dr. Dave describes the relocated studio finally beginning to feel comfortable while new interviews, teachers, live hosts, and ministry strategies are gradually taking shape. YouTube engagement has also increased dramatically, providing encouragement that the new direction is already producing fruit. Yet the central principle remains that the work of the Spirit is greater than the plans of people. Organization has value, but ministry is ultimately a living organism directed by God. His will does not adjust itself to ours; believers must continually seek His will and allow Him to determine where the work should go.

Section 2

Joseph of Arimathea appears after Jesus’ death as a wealthy, influential follower whose devotion became visible when circumstances were at their darkest. He approached Pilate directly, requested Jesus’ body, received permission, and prepared Him for burial. John’s Gospel adds that Nicodemus joined Joseph, bringing approximately seventy-five pounds of expensive myrrh and aloes. Nicodemus had originally approached Jesus privately at night, but now his faith was becoming publicly identifiable. Neither man had yet witnessed the resurrection, yet both demonstrated tremendous honor, respect, and commitment to Christ. Their actions remind believers that devotion to Jesus should not depend upon immediately seeing the outcome. Genuine faith continues honoring Him even when circumstances appear finished and His promises have not yet visibly unfolded.

Section 3

Joseph’s greatest act of surrender may have been offering Jesus the new tomb he had originally prepared for himself. The man who had received eternal life through Christ willingly surrendered his own resting place to honor the Savior who had rescued him. Dr. Dave sees in that action a picture of genuine discipleship: nothing in our lives should be withheld when Jesus asks for first place. God ultimately desires more than possessions, money, abilities, or religious activity—He wants the whole heart. Mary Magdalene and another Mary likewise remained nearby watching, continuing to honor Jesus even though they had not yet witnessed His resurrection. Christians today live with that same anticipation, confidently awaiting what has been promised but not yet seen. True devotion says to Jesus, “What I prepared for myself belongs to You first.”
