In this episode, we talk about an old familiar song. The ballad of not good enough is a top hit in everyone’s mind at different points in our lives. What does it even mean to say, “I’m not good enough?” Usually, it is a self-imposed judgement based on a limiting estimate of our own worth or ability.
Sometimes we use a different word. “I’m not ______ enough (smart, cool, old, strong, capable.”) The list goes on forever and always means we are wanting in some important area. This opinion is always backward looking and almost always heavily negatively weighted. It is almost never true and yet it prevents so much of creativity and growth. It is possible to banish that monster from your life forever.
