  • Do not hang on to old experiences
  • Do not let the past dictate your future
  • Just like manna, we need the fresh to eat today
  • Have a relationship with the word
  • Read the word, speak that word
References: Isaiah 42:9,10 “Behold, the former things Have come to pass, Now I declare hew things. Before they spring forth I proclaim them to you.” Sing to the Lord a new song. Sing His praise from the end of the earth! You who go down to the sea and all that is in it. You islands and those who dwell on them. Isaiah 43:18,19 “Do not call to mind the former things, Or ponder things of the past. Behold, I will do something new, Now it will spring forth; Will you not be aware of it? I will even make a roadway in the wilderness, Rivers in the desert.” Philippians 2:12-14 So then, my , just as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your salvation with fear and trembling; for it is God who is at work in you, both to will and to work for His good pleasure. Do all things without grumbling or disputing; Matthew 25:1-13 The parable of the ten virgins Matthew 6:11 ‘Give us this day our daily bread.’ Exodus 16:20 (manna) But they did not listen to Moses, and some left part of it until morning, and it bred worms and became foul; and Moses was angry with them. Hebrews 3:7, 8, 15 Therefore, just as the Holy Spirit says, “Today if you hear His voice, Do not harden your hearts as when they provoked Me, As in the day of trial in the wilderness, While it is said, “Today if you hear His voice, Do not harden your hearts, as when they provoked Me.” 1 Corinthians 3:2, 3 You are our letter, written in our hearts, known and read by all men; being manifested that you are a letter of Christ, cared for by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone, but on tablets of human hearts. Quotes:
  • Christ is our salvation every day.
  • Each day there is an expansion and a growth
  • Work out your salvation with fear and trembling
  • We need a fresh meeting with the Lord, today
  • If you ride on yesterday’s word, you’re missing it
  • That is why salvation will never be complete until He appears, and we are like Him.
Take Away: Salvation is only a beginning experience, as a child grows so do we in the Lord.

Transcripts

Ron:

Salvation is a new beginning. Christ is our salvation every day. Therefore, we have an open door to be new every day. Christ has provided many things to help you to start the new, communion, the sabbath, His blood and body, water baptism, foot washings, and the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Everything Christ did was to set you free.

Ed reads:

“Do not call to mind the former things or ponder the things of the past. Behold I will do something new, Now it will spring forth; Will you not be aware of it? I will even make a roadway in the wilderness, Rivers in the deserts.”

Ron:

Every day Christ wants to do something brand new. It is us being able to dump the things wear away our spirits and that we carry with us that stop us from opening up to the new thing every day.

Dale:

Philippians 2:12 “So then, my beloved just as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only but now much more in my absence. Work out your salvation with fear and trembling; for it is God who is at work in you both to will and to work for His good pleasure. Do all things without grumbling and disputing.” I wanted to add that because as you have read through what you addressed of the new day. You were taking us from that initial experience of salvation. You were taking us right through what it’s talking about there. Each day there is an expansion and a growth and a working out that the original gift grows and changes and becomes day by day. It is like another scripture and it’s the parable of the ten virgins. Five wise and five foolish. Salvation got you into that ten. It’s working out your salvation that gets you from the beginning into that place where that bridegroom comes you are ready.

Ron:

What is exciting about this is Christ, the Word, the scriptures is our salvation. It’s not like an ambiguous thing that you have to try to figure out how to work it out. If you were reaching into Christ the Word, He is going to walk you right through it and there is an initiative obliviously for us to enter in and focus on His Word and recite it and speak it. But it is still Christ doing it through us and to us. Which is exciting because we have a relationship with the Word.

Dale:

One of the things about walking out our salvation is the mountain top experience. Many times, that is the time where God meets you in such a manner that it marks your life. You don’t say I have got it put it in a jar put it on a shelf or on the mantle. It is how we go forward, God speaks to your heart, he gives you a revelation, a mountain to experience he wants to work with you on your salvation. To see that word written on your heart. That is why salvation will never be complete until He appears and we are like Him.
