#5 - An interview with Kheriann Wiggins - founder of Dear Girls Ltd.

In this episode we interview Kheriann Wiggins, the founder and Director of Dear Girls Ltd out of the UK; an organization that helps women aged 18 - 30 deal with the mental health issues prevalent today.

Kheriann gives us some insight into the issues face young women today, the methods she employs to help them, and what the future of her company holds (hint: her vision is massive!)

This episode is more timely today than ever. With the pandemic raging world-wide, the focus on mental health is more important than ever.

Kheriann is an amazing young business woman (who's currently working on her Masters!). You'll get a ton of value out of this episode. And please, take a moment to check out her social and website links below.

FEM Apparel was started by the father and step-mother of two girls. Concerned with societal pressures and inequalities, FEM Apparel was created with the idea of showcasing thought-provoking phrases to encourage discussion, highlight disparity and challenge the status quo to be inclusive and equal.

We currently support two different charities. For purchases made in Canada we donate to the Canadian Women’s Foundation. They are an organization that provides programming and support for four urgent issues: gender-based violence, economic security, girl’s empowerment and inclusive leadership. The foundations programs are created by women for women and tailored to the specific communities in which they are engaged.

For purchases made from anywhere else in the world we donate to UN Women. A branch of the United Nations, UN Women is a truly global platform that works with UN Member States to help them set, and achieve their goals for gender equality. They work with governments and civil society to design laws, policies, programmes and services needed to ensure that the standards are effectively implemented and truly benefit women and girls worldwide.
