Hello, I'm Alan Gregory.

I'm the Principal of St Augustine's College of Theology.

This year, my staff and I are putting on some podcasts to take

you through the season of Advent, the season that leads up

to the celebration of Christmas.

Every week we shall take a passage from the Hebrew

prophets, and what we'll do is try and bring into the present

what has been called the strange world of the Bible.

We hope we can build some bridges between that strange

world and the challenging, difficult world of the present,

with all its hopes and aspirations and fears.
