Jenny:

I really think the reason why people think that I have so many

2

:

synchronicities and how things line up

perfectly for me is because I look for it.

3

:

So I'm driving home and I got a later

start which actually I was okay with.

4

:

It perfectly worked out because now I'm

getting to witness a gorgeous sunrise

5

:

in the back roads of North Carolina.

6

:

But that said, when I was turning

down this two lane road that I'm

7

:

on for quite a while, this big

dump truck turned right before me.

8

:

And my instinct was, ah, crap.

9

:

Now I'm going to get stuck by this slow

vehicle, but then I stopped and thought,

10

:

no, there has to be a reason for this.

11

:

Okay.

12

:

And then I let it go.

13

:

As we're driving, I'm

behind this slow vehicle.

14

:

There's no one behind me.

15

:

It's pretty dead going this direction.

16

:

Then I realized I'm coming

up on my favorite field and

17

:

my favorite dilapidated barn.

18

:

So I rolled out my window, flip my iPhone

into cinematic mode and I rest it on

19

:

this perfectly placed pillow on top of

a pile of books that I'm bringing back.

20

:

And I don't look, I just hit record.

21

:

And now I captured a beautiful sunrise

video of my favorite field with my

22

:

favorite barn and I wouldn't have had

that if I wasn't behind a slow vehicle.

23

:

I slowed down because

there was no one behind me.

24

:

I wouldn't have had time to think,

Oh my goodness, it's coming up.

25

:

I wouldn't have probably paid attention.

26

:

So look how it's perfectly

working out for me.

27

:

That is a mindset choice.

28

:

Now, could be a normal.

29

:

I'm so annoyed that you're

behind this little vehicle.

30

:

But I choose to see it that way.

31

:

Isn't that a miracle?

32

:

Isn't that perfect orchestration?

33

:

Isn't that divine timing?

34

:

I sure as hell think it is.

35

:

And the more I've trained my brain to be a

cooperative component in looking for this

36

:

stuff, the easier it is for me to find it.

37

:

It really is the way you approach

situations with your mindset.

38

:

It's the way you choose to look at things.

39

:

Dr.

40

:

Wayne Dyer always said, change

the way you look at things and

41

:

the things you look at change.

42

:

Boy, oh boy, is that right.

43

:

It sounds great.

44

:

It's a wonderful quote.

45

:

But to actually live it, to actually

put it into practice in your

46

:

daily life, that's the good stuff.

47

:

That's what he would say.

48

:

Not this quote on a daily

calendar of inspirational quotes.

49

:

The idea is to live it.

50

:

My question for you is,

51

:

is there a way for you to purposely

start to build this habit?

52

:

Create a reminder, maybe putting an alert

on your phone, something on your calendar.

53

:

Maybe, a solid three times a day when

this alert comes on, to stop and make

54

:

the choice to, Oh, that's my reminder.

55

:

I'm going to be aware and see what I find.

56

:

Then the next part I

think is really important.

57

:

Is to jot down notes.

58

:

To jot down these little moments.

59

:

Like right now, with the

field, with the truck.

60

:

Because you'll forget them.

61

:

And eventually that's fine because

it's about being in the present moment.

62

:

But at first, your brain needs that data.

63

:

It needs that evidence.

64

:

It needs

65

:

so give it to your brain.

66

:

Ways to do that could be

just your simple notes app.

67

:

I like to use Google

keep that's a free app.

68

:

You can use voice memos.

69

:

I also do that.

70

:

That's how I'm recording this.

71

:

You could do a physical journal.

72

:

I ended up doing my phone cause

what's always with me, my phone.

73

:

Sometimes I do write things

down cause there is something

74

:

special about handwriting.

75

:

Let's not be tech don't overthink this.

76

:

Don't overcomplicate this.

77

:

This is not more homework.

78

:

This is creating a new pattern

in your brain for it to

79

:

become a part of your being.

80

:

I don't sit and plan now.

81

:

Now, literally, this is just a part of me.

82

:

me.

83

:

This is how I live my life.

84

:

I appreciate things.

85

:

I've been practicing gratitude in

this gratitude app for, I'd have

86

:

to look at the number of days,

like over, I know:

87

:

I don't remember.

88

:

It was before the pandemic.

89

:

So let's say at least five years on

this app, app I use called gratitude.

90

:

And I really feel like

that's a part of it as well.

91

:

It's looking for things to be grateful

for, but this is beyond gratitude.

92

:

This is being in awe.

93

:

Things to be in awe of.

94

:

This is awesome.

95

:

When we say awesome, it's full of awe.

96

:

Gratitude is a place that you can

start, but I think this is more

97

:

powerful because this is moments that

hit you emotionally and that starts

98

:

to store new neural pathways in your

brain at a faster rate than gratitude.

99

:

I talk about this with

people all the time.

100

:

Gratitude has a sense of lack in it.

101

:

Oh, I'm so grateful that I

have a paycheck every week.

102

:

The underlying thought is,

because a lot of people don't.

103

:

I'm so thankful that I witnessed this

sunrise cause a lot of people don't.

104

:

Right?

105

:

There's always a, I'm so glad of

this because others don't get it.

106

:

It's a good place to start.

107

:

I said I practice gratitude, but the best

way to do it is the little awesomes.

108

:

The little awe filled moments.

109

:

So try it out, and I'd

love to hear from you.

110

:

How is that for you?

111

:

How's that experience going?

112

:

Just observe what comes up and you can

throw that on your journal as well.

113

:

Be curious.

114

:

No goals.

115

:

No awards.

116

:

No trophies.

117

:

No gold stars.

118

:

This is Just playing around, seeing

what happens and you'll be surprised.

119

:

You will be very surprised.

120

:

Happy awesome searching.
