Sophie:

Hello and welcome to Lion Hearted Marketing Podcast.

Sophie:

I'm here today with my guest, Rebecca Hayden, or Beck, as I'll probably

Sophie:

refer to her as Beck is a mindset coach and business mentor with a

Sophie:

master's in hypnotherapy and N L P and Keynote speaking, she guides her

Sophie:

clients to rewire their subconscious thoughts and create powerful behavioral

Sophie:

changes so they can reach their most mind blowing visions and goals.

Sophie:

Her real passion, specialization and focus is helping ambitious female

Sophie:

entrepreneurs grow their business to multiple five figure months.

Sophie:

With so much ease unlocking their highest level performance, build

Sophie:

massive self-trust and step into the identity of the woman who is living a

Sophie:

life full of experiences with regular travel and running a business that

Sophie:

actually feels sustainable and safe.

Sophie:

So,

Rebecca:

Hi.

Rebecca:

Thank you for having me.

Sophie:

I'm so excited to have you here.

Sophie:

So if you've been on my email list for a while, or if you follow

Sophie:

me on Instagram, you probably will know that I work with Beck.

Sophie:

She's one of my coaches.

Sophie:

And has been since the beginning of this year.

Sophie:

I started working with her in January.

Sophie:

I'd launched my group program and it was kind of going well, but I think

Sophie:

it's probably fair to say I was a little bit all over the, all over the place.

Sophie:

Had a lot going on and I think probably the biggest driver of me

Sophie:

investing with working with Beck was I, I was doing all the things.

Sophie:

I was really busy, I was working really hard and.

Sophie:

That's really been drummed into me at such a young age, as I now

Sophie:

know that working hard will give you like, you know, what you want.

Sophie:

And actually, if it got to a point where it felt like if I wasn't working

Sophie:

on my business, then I was doing some, you know, I wasn't working hard enough

Sophie:

and therefore I wasn't gonna get the money, and I kind of, you know, realized

Sophie:

that if I didn't do something about this, I was probably gonna burn out.

Sophie:

So I also wasn't matching.

Sophie:

You know, the level of income I should have been getting for the

Sophie:

amount of work that I was doing.

Sophie:

So that is what we are gonna explore in today's episode.

Sophie:

It's not gonna be all just about me in my problems, although we

Sophie:

will delve into that as well.

Sophie:

But what we really wanna explore today is feeling safe in your

Sophie:

business and how you can start to.

Sophie:

Think about what that might look like, and then maybe thinking about if that's

Sophie:

whether the thing that's holding you back from this next financial level that, you

Sophie:

know, we're all looking to kind of get to.

Sophie:

We're also gonna talk about how Beck has grown her business to 20 k plus months

Sophie:

just using Instagram, but how she is now starting to look at using Facebook

Sophie:

ads to take it to the next level.

Sophie:

And I'm also gonna share my experience of working with Beck and, and what

Sophie:

I've learned about myself, but also, you know, watching Beck run

Sophie:

a business of that size and what I've kind of taken from it as well.

Sophie:

So it is so lovely to have you here.

Sophie:

Before we jump in, tell us a little bit more about yourself in real life.

Rebecca:

Real life.

Rebecca:

Beck.

Rebecca:

I never get time to speak about real life, Beck.

Sophie:

go on.

Sophie:

Give me some real life back.

Sophie:

If you follow it on Instagram stories, it's quite real life back.

Rebecca:

That's true.

Rebecca:

That is true.

Rebecca:

So I am a dog mom, first and foremost, to a beautiful golden retriever called

Rebecca:

Barney, who is eight months old.

Rebecca:

And you know, when you just like, oh, I'm in love with him.

Rebecca:

I'm so in

Sophie:

with him and I've never even met him, but he's so cute.

Sophie:

I mean, often on our calls he'll like be around keeping an eye on what's going on.

Rebecca:

come and have a little sniffy sniff around the, around the camera.

Sophie:

Again.

Sophie:

Oh

Rebecca:

Oh, it's this one again.

Rebecca:

Yes.

Rebecca:

So I live in a beautiful town called Shrewsbury, which is very picturesque.

Rebecca:

It's right on the river.

Rebecca:

It's, you know, when you live in a place and you're like,

Rebecca:

I can't believe I live here.

Rebecca:

And I think that daily when I'm just like, mm, I just love it.

Rebecca:

It's so beautiful.

Rebecca:

And.

Rebecca:

That's about it really.

Rebecca:

My partner's called Jack, he is a salesman too, so we can kind

Rebecca:

of travel the world together.

Rebecca:

He does a lot of things abroad, which I just book a flight and go

Rebecca:

with him, which is Ty as yeah.

Sophie:

the definition of someone living their best life back.

Sophie:

I

Sophie:

I feel like I live vicariously through you a lot of the time.

Rebecca:

I love that.

Rebecca:

I love that.

Rebecca:

So yeah, I was, I grew up in the performing arts industry.

Rebecca:

That's what I did as a career before I became a coach.

Rebecca:

And that's, that's about me.

Sophie:

Yeah.

Sophie:

And you lived in Australia for a while,

Rebecca:

I D Oh, forget about that.

Rebecca:

Yes, I

Sophie:

Blip.

Rebecca:

that little box I put away.

Rebecca:

Yeah, I lived in Australia for four years actually.

Rebecca:

I do have permanent residency, which I think is quite a quite a thing to,

Rebecca:

yeah, it's very, very hard, the hard, one of the hardest things I've ever done.

Rebecca:

But yeah, got permanent residency.

Rebecca:

Lived there for four years, absolutely loved it.

Rebecca:

And moved back last August.

Rebecca:

I can't believe it's nearly been a year now.

Sophie:

my God.

Rebecca:

Mm.

Sophie:

Amazing.

Sophie:

Okay, so I've got a really important question for you before

Sophie:

we jump into everything else.

Sophie:

If you go to a restaurant and you can only have a starter or a

Sophie:

pudding, what would you choose?

Rebecca:

Has to hands down be a starter.

Rebecca:

I'm the most savory gal there is?

Sophie:

Are you?

Sophie:

That's so interesting.

Sophie:

My, we were all split in our family, so like my mom is like super savory.

Sophie:

She's always on like the peanuts, the cheese, that, whereas I'm so sweet, like

Sophie:

I could just eat sugar all day long.

Sophie:

What would you choose as your like favorite starter?

Rebecca:

Oh God.

Rebecca:

Anything with cheese, like a good caramel bear dip with

Rebecca:

some like red onion chuck knee.

Rebecca:

I'm a sucker for a prawn cocktail, if I'm honest.

Sophie:

bloody love a P prom cocktail, to be fair.

Sophie:

I am with

Rebecca:

they're not just for Christmas.

Sophie:

exactly.

Sophie:

Not for Christmas guys.

Sophie:

It's for any occasion.

Sophie:

I mean, even better if it is in some sort of like crystal glass, you

Rebecca:

Of course.

Rebecca:

Yes.

Sophie:

over the edge.

Sophie:

Yeah.

Sophie:

Oh, I have to say I'm quite into barter at the moment.

Sophie:

I

Rebecca:

Oh,

Sophie:

isn't it?

Sophie:

Like it's a vibe, but

Rebecca:

now I'm starving.

Sophie:

Yeah, I know, I know.

Sophie:

We shouldn't talking about that.

Sophie:

Okay, so there's a lot we could have talked about today.

Sophie:

But I think we decided that something that is so relevant to a lot of people and

Sophie:

really at any stage of your business as well is this feeling of a lack of safety.

Sophie:

And I've talked a little bit about it there, this feeling of needing

Sophie:

to be in it all the time, but it comes up in a lot of different ways.

Sophie:

I know.

Sophie:

And it comes, I think, alongside a real frustration of not getting where you

Sophie:

want to be, but not really knowing why.

Sophie:

So I thought it might be helpful if we start, like, what sort of, how might

Sophie:

someone recognize this in themselves?

Rebecca:

I think it's, I think first of all it's recognizing the

Rebecca:

patterns that you keep playing.

Rebecca:

So becoming aware is obviously the first step of any sort of

Rebecca:

change within your business.

Rebecca:

And I think a lot of the time when we are keeping ourself quote unquote

Rebecca:

safe, we do the same things day in, day out, hoping to get different results.

Rebecca:

And I think there's, you know, you get to a point in your business and I was

Rebecca:

definitely here, and to be honest and working through it, This phase of my

Rebecca:

business now, which I know we'll talk about in, you know, in due course,

Rebecca:

but you, you are doing the same things that have got you to that place, but

Rebecca:

equally, it's not getting you to.

Rebecca:

That it's not gonna get you to the next place, but you think it is going to.

Rebecca:

So it's getting yourself to a place where you, you see

Rebecca:

that you are very comfortable.

Rebecca:

And I think sometimes that's the worst to call yourself out on, right?

Rebecca:

You know, when you're like, oh, okay.

Rebecca:

Like business has become very comfortable.

Rebecca:

It's very easy for me to achieve where I am right now and to repeat that process.

Rebecca:

But equally, I'm not where I wanna be.

Rebecca:

So why am I in that comfort?

Rebecca:

Why am I.

Rebecca:

Plotting, why am I almost a bit stagnant?

Rebecca:

I get a lot of clients who use that word when they come to me, like

Rebecca:

I'm just feeling really stagnant.

Rebecca:

I'm feeling really stuck in the way of like, I don't know

Rebecca:

how much more I can be doing.

Rebecca:

Like I, I'm doing all the things.

Rebecca:

I'm showing up the way I always do, but I'm not seeming to get to that next level.

Rebecca:

And I think it's that being aware of that pattern of.

Rebecca:

Going to do something or pushing yourself out of the quote unquote Z comfort

Rebecca:

zone, and then a week later you're back doing the same comfortable things

Rebecca:

you kind of teeter.

Sophie:

Teeter absolutely.

Sophie:

And I think as well, like, I don't know if.

Sophie:

I think there's like a bigger cyclical thing as well, isn't there?

Sophie:

Where I think if you are not doing the mindset work as well as the strategy work,

Sophie:

this is what happened for me as well.

Sophie:

When I take a step back and look at my journey working for myself so far, is

Sophie:

that I push myself and I get to that next level and I'm like, yeah, okay, great.

Sophie:

But it's not underpinned.

Sophie:

So with like a solid mindset.

Sophie:

And so what happens is I almost all my old money stories come up

Sophie:

and I, I freak myself out and then slowly it sort of all ebbs away and

Sophie:

I, I end up back where I started.

Sophie:

It's a bit like like, you know when you go on a crash diet and you lose loads

Sophie:

of weight and you're like, yeah, hit my,

Rebecca:

Look

Sophie:

target, I've done it.

Sophie:

That's it.

Sophie:

And then like a month later you'll like back to where you started and you're

Sophie:

like, well, where did that all go wrong?

Sophie:

Like, I hit it.

Sophie:

Why couldn't I just maintain it?

Sophie:

I can maintain this level.

Sophie:

Why can't I maintain that level?

Rebecca:

It's very much like that.

Rebecca:

You know, it's the same as, don't they say when people have gone on

Rebecca:

crash diets, you actually end up putting more weight on afterwards.

Rebecca:

The same as people who win the lottery usually end up in debt.

Rebecca:

You know, like it's because you are, you are going to a place that you,

Rebecca:

your body can hold to an extent.

Rebecca:

Kind of with, with a bit of burnout, your body can hold it, but

Rebecca:

your mind is, has not caught up.

Rebecca:

Like your mind is not there ready to actually hold that amount or maintain or

Rebecca:

sustain, which is, you know, one of the biggest things that I help my clients with

Rebecca:

is actually sustain in the next level.

Rebecca:

So you will sabotage because it does feel unsafe.

Rebecca:

You know, your subconscious is here to keep us safe.

Rebecca:

So the moment that it doesn't feel in that safety anymore, it will do

Rebecca:

everything in its power a lot of the time.

Rebecca:

Things that you don't even know that you are doing, which is

Rebecca:

always the always the juicy bits.

Sophie:

Yeah.

Sophie:

Which is really hard, isn't it?

Sophie:

Cuz you think you're just doing what you did to get to that level.

Sophie:

Like if you don't know what's happening underneath, it's hard.

Sophie:

So in terms of what's going on underneath, that's the limiting mindset, the

Sophie:

money, a lot of money believes that

Rebecca:

Yeah, I think definitely when you are moving to the next level, when

Rebecca:

you're holding a different amount of money, when you've got a new kind of

Rebecca:

energetic minimum in your bank account, for instance, or a new energetic minimum

Rebecca:

that you've got coming in into your bank.

Rebecca:

Like I know when I hit.

Rebecca:

Kind of 10 K reoccurring revenue.

Rebecca:

And I, I was on that for so long, like I plotted on that for such a

Rebecca:

long time because that felt really comfortable for me to do that.

Rebecca:

And actually like within three months I was like, Hmm, hang on a minute.

Rebecca:

Like this isn't going anywhere.

Rebecca:

So there's definitely something about me holding that the next lot of the

Rebecca:

reoccurring revenue that I now hold.

Rebecca:

So I think it's the, it's definitely the money stories that you've had.

Rebecca:

Growing up, you know, we take our biggest imprints on from the ages

Rebecca:

of zero to seven, so we are really.

Rebecca:

Almost like little sponges, little walking sponges.

Rebecca:

When we're kids and we, we take things on from parents, from caregivers, from

Rebecca:

friends, from the people who music that we listen to, we kind of take that all on.

Rebecca:

And because we don't have that analytical mind when we're

Rebecca:

younger, we have nothing to go.

Rebecca:

Oh.

Rebecca:

That's bullshit.

Rebecca:

What my mom's saying right now, I don't believe that.

Rebecca:

We go, oh, my mom's saying that right now.

Rebecca:

And that means that I must believe it.

Rebecca:

That's how we grow up.

Rebecca:

So when you are going into that next level of finance, it might,

Rebecca:

you might have done money mindset work for your previous level.

Rebecca:

It's gonna look very different for the next kind of step up.

Sophie:

Yeah, and generationally as well.

Sophie:

It's, you know, they, that might have been true for them at that time.

Sophie:

And, you know, working for yourself in 10 K months or 20 K months, like, you know,

Sophie:

back in the seventies probably wasn't.

Sophie:

Something that they even saw role modeled in women.

Sophie:

So yeah, it's like I'm picking that.

Sophie:

And also I think just from a personal perspective, like as a mother,

Sophie:

making sure that I'm not passing that onto my own children as well and

Sophie:

having them hear the positive money stories and, and that sort of thing.

Sophie:

So in terms of identifying what those money beliefs are,

Sophie:

like where would you start?

Rebecca:

I think first of all, just get really clear on what feels unsafe.

Rebecca:

So you know, for me, a pattern that I used to do, I had quite a big money

Rebecca:

story growing up, to be honest, in the way of, my dad had a very bad

Rebecca:

accident when I was in year six.

Rebecca:

We lost the house, we lost everything, and I took on a lot of beliefs at that point.

Rebecca:

That I couldn't hold money, that I had to always borrow money, that

Rebecca:

I couldn't spend my own money.

Rebecca:

Like it, there was lots of beliefs that came up in that, in that perspective

Rebecca:

that I really had to dive into.

Rebecca:

And I found that because I was really good at making money, but I could not hold it.

Rebecca:

Like, I would be like where the, like I would look at what I'd done

Rebecca:

and I'd be like, where the fuck is?

Sophie:

Where is.

Rebecca:

Where has that gone?

Rebecca:

Cause it's not there.

Rebecca:

Like where has it gone?

Rebecca:

And you know, it was this pattern that as soon as money came in, I would

Rebecca:

go shopping or I would do this, or I would invest again, which is all fine.

Rebecca:

Like I still do those things.

Rebecca:

But now with awareness as to why I'm choosing to do that.

Rebecca:

And I think that was getting really kind of aware of the patterns that

Rebecca:

you are creating around money.

Rebecca:

Is it the fact that you are ignoring it?

Rebecca:

Is it that you are.

Rebecca:

You know, it comes out and it goes, it comes in, it goes straight back out.

Rebecca:

Are you hoarding it?

Rebecca:

You know, I get a lot of clients who are like, I can't spend any of this.

Rebecca:

Like, this feels really scary.

Rebecca:

And just really understanding it.

Rebecca:

I mean, the best place to start with any money stories is asking yourself,

Rebecca:

you know, what were you taught about money when you were growing up?

Rebecca:

What was it?

Rebecca:

That you were taught.

Rebecca:

And I think one of the things for me is money didn't grow on trees.

Rebecca:

And I definitely know Yeah, the classic.

Rebecca:

And then I definitely know when I started to make quite a lot of money in the

Rebecca:

business especially kind of from my dad, I think I celebrated the once and

Rebecca:

I told him, and he was like, what the f what are you gonna do with all of that?

Rebecca:

And that was the response.

Rebecca:

And I, I was like, Ooh, okay.

Rebecca:

This is, this is new.

Rebecca:

This is a new thing.

Rebecca:

You know, and, and really understanding that to be around money.

Rebecca:

And it's quite funny now.

Rebecca:

Like I had a massage yesterday and I was doing some journaling this morning

Rebecca:

and I was kind of reflecting back on.

Rebecca:

You know, previous Beck 2017, let's say, would've, you know,

Rebecca:

oh, 42 pounds for a massage.

Rebecca:

Oh, like, she would've been there, she would've been like 42 pounds.

Rebecca:

And I went for this massage yesterday, I booked in for facial for next week.

Rebecca:

I bought one of the things that she told me to buy, like, and it

Rebecca:

didn't even, you know, 300 pound doesn't feel heavy for me anymore.

Rebecca:

A grand doesn't feel heavy for me anymore, but it's because of the energetic

Rebecca:

minimums that I've worked into to have that as my reality, and I think like

Rebecca:

understanding that is very important.

Sophie:

Yeah, absolutely.

Sophie:

I mean, we all have our, both common parents.

Sophie:

You know, the money doesn't go on trees, you know, you have to work hard if you're

Sophie:

gonna, be successful, mine, one of my parents' favorites was What's it called?

Sophie:

Champagne, lifestyle lemonade, money.

Rebecca:

Mm.

Sophie:

That feeling like you should never be splashing out there's so

Sophie:

many things sitting under isn't there.

Sophie:

So once you've got to a point where you sort of understand that lovely

Sophie:

insight into your psyche, what are we whatcha doing around actually.

Sophie:

Actually kind of fix, because I mean, these are, I, I was listening to

Sophie:

one of your podcasts the other day.

Sophie:

I call them additional free coaching therapy sessions, and you were talking

Sophie:

about how, you know, it's never, no matter what You know, whether you

Sophie:

use N L P or you know, you work with a coach or you're doing on your own

Sophie:

or whatever you're using, it's never just gonna be like a golden bullet.

Sophie:

Like it's never just flicking a squitch.

Sophie:

You know, for however many years, 30 odd years I've been, that's been

Sophie:

kind of ingrained into me and that's the way, been the way of thinking.

Sophie:

But you can also make relatively quick pro, it can start peeling

Sophie:

layers off quite quickly,

Rebecca:

Hmm.

Rebecca:

Yeah.

Sophie:

kind of understanding what, what's driving your actions.

Rebecca:

Yeah, for sure.

Rebecca:

And I think like, you know, I use timeline therapy with my clients because it's

Rebecca:

one of my favorite all time tools and it gets into the belief very quickly.

Rebecca:

But you can actually do it without like, yes, obviously working with a coach is

Rebecca:

deeper and you can, I can really pry into the answers, but you know, you can do it.

Rebecca:

Just reflect back into the memory, you know, like, okay.

Rebecca:

Who is it that I hear saying this is something that I always ask my

Rebecca:

clients like, is it your voice?

Rebecca:

Is it your mom's voice?

Rebecca:

Is it your dad's voice?

Rebecca:

Is it your friend's voice?

Rebecca:

Like what voice has actually implanted that belief into, into

Rebecca:

you, into your subconscious, and then go, okay, like when was it?

Rebecca:

Can I think of a specific memory?

Rebecca:

Does it have a feeling?

Rebecca:

Where is that feeling in my body?

Rebecca:

And then go into that and, and look at it from your eyes now, because the, the

Rebecca:

belief that's showing up is your four year old self who felt really scared

Rebecca:

in that moment and said, okay, this is the belief that I've gotta take on.

Rebecca:

Put it in your backpack.

Rebecca:

And then they've carried that backpack all the way through

Rebecca:

till the last 20, 30 years.

Rebecca:

So go in and have a look and go, okay, well what do I actually believe now?

Rebecca:

What is my story now?

Rebecca:

And it's practicing that because that neural pathway is so ingrained.

Rebecca:

You know, you've, you've thought it time and time and time and time

Rebecca:

again, which is exactly what you said.

Rebecca:

You know, we don't.

Rebecca:

In and out and it's gone.

Rebecca:

And bish bash B and we're done kind of thing.

Rebecca:

Like it's a, it's an ongoing thing.

Rebecca:

It's like going to the gym.

Rebecca:

You have to work that muscle, that new neural pathway.

Rebecca:

So having a look at that memory, if there is a memory associated, there

Rebecca:

usually is if you dig around deep enough and then asking yourself,

Rebecca:

okay, what is it that I believe now?

Rebecca:

What is the story that I want to take on?

Rebecca:

What is, what is that that I wanna step into?

Rebecca:

Because our brain is neuroplastic, which means we can change it at

Rebecca:

any given moment, which is the magical power of the subconscious.

Rebecca:

So, you know, writing those down.

Rebecca:

Affirming it to yourself, saying it to yourself time and time

Rebecca:

again, that this is your new story.

Rebecca:

And every time that old story comes in, you go, no, I'm not.

Rebecca:

That's not mine anymore.

Rebecca:

That's not mine to have.

Rebecca:

It's not mine to keep, and this is what I'm thinking and

Rebecca:

this is how I feel from now on.

Sophie:

Yeah.

Sophie:

Yeah, and I think it's, like you say, it's a lot of repetition

Sophie:

and kind of remembering like, no, this isn't me actually anymore.

Sophie:

And like I've found since working with you is it's January.

Sophie:

Like my awareness of when those things come up, like you're sort

Sophie:

of sitting in a minute and you have that automatic, like that sort of

Sophie:

gut reaction or, you know, response.

Sophie:

And then re I mean, pretty quickly now I'll be like, oh, hang on.

Sophie:

Hang on a sec.

Sophie:

That's that coming back up again.

Sophie:

Oh, I see what's going on here.

Sophie:

Right.

Sophie:

Okay.

Sophie:

I need to do this.

Sophie:

And that's, it's so empowering to know that you are kind of identifying

Sophie:

it and it still, it still can hurt.

Sophie:

It can still can be uncomfortable.

Sophie:

It can still feel like, oh God, this again, well, like.

Sophie:

But actually being able to consciously kind of do something

Sophie:

about it is really amazing.

Sophie:

And I think a lot of the time when I'm working with clients, the ones that I see

Sophie:

who have the most success, when we put ads in place and systems and they start

Sophie:

getting clients into their world, the ones that have the most success are the ones

Sophie:

that are, have done that mindset work, that are ready for it, that are kind of

Sophie:

like, okay, I needed, I needed a strategy.

Sophie:

Action, please.

Sophie:

Like you are, I know you are very much.

Sophie:

Not just like what's it called?

Sophie:

Like the manifestation of like, oh, I really want this,

Sophie:

I want to earn 20 K this month.

Sophie:

So like, as long as I focus on that enough it'll just happen.

Sophie:

It's much more about, you know, pairing up the strategy and the mindset, isn't

Sophie:

it, like, so that you can hold both.

Rebecca:

Yeah, for sure.

Rebecca:

Because I don't believe you can have one without the other.

Rebecca:

And I think that's a big part of my messaging in the way of like,

Rebecca:

you can have every single thing there in front of your face.

Rebecca:

And a lot of my clients do.

Rebecca:

A lot of my clients come to me already knowing what they

Rebecca:

should actually be doing.

Rebecca:

They already know the strategy.

Rebecca:

Yes, okay.

Rebecca:

We need to tweak and we need to mold and we need to uncover some things.

Rebecca:

But a lot of the time you do know, and actually it's your mindset that's kind

Rebecca:

of masking that and not allowing you to see it, or not allowing, allowing

Rebecca:

you to trust yourself to do it, which is the biggest thing that I see.

Rebecca:

And I think it's like that.

Rebecca:

You have to have both, especially when you are going into playing, playing

Rebecca:

in the big, like playing bigger, reaching those bigger goals because

Rebecca:

there's not many people doing it.

Rebecca:

You know, 20, 20 k reoccurring revenue to me feels very, very normal.

Rebecca:

But I was on 1,400 a month four years ago.

Sophie:

Yeah.

Rebecca:

That's a very, that's very different.

Rebecca:

And there's a lot of my friends who don't who, who are not on that either.

Rebecca:

So it, it's, It's crazy to be in that world.

Rebecca:

It's very natural for us as entrepreneurs because we hear it all the time.

Rebecca:

But actually when you, when you look at it from face value, like you, you

Rebecca:

are gonna have to do work to make that feel normal and make that feel safe.

Sophie:

And just I guess just what you said there about

Sophie:

making that feel safe and trust.

Sophie:

I think there's a lot of things for me that have come up in terms

Sophie:

of trust in the business of.

Sophie:

It not just being me.

Sophie:

So I felt very much when I didn't feel like there was trust in the

Sophie:

business, I didn't feel like I could spend money on getting support.

Sophie:

I didn't feel like I could commit to someone working alongside me.

Sophie:

Cause I was like, what if I don't trust the business?

Sophie:

I don't trust I'm gonna get the clients I don't trust.

Sophie:

I'm gonna be able to pay them and pay me.

Sophie:

And I think also just trust in investing in systems and ads.

Sophie:

And it's something that comes up a lot with clients like, oh, I don't know.

Sophie:

If I wanna spend money on ads, because what if I can't afford them?

Sophie:

What if it's too much money?

Sophie:

What if I don't get the clients back from it?

Sophie:

You know, if I spend this money on ads and then I, I don't get a client

Sophie:

within, you know, two or three months, then it's gonna be a nightmare.

Sophie:

Is that a process that you just have to work through and

Sophie:

start stretching that muscle?

Rebecca:

It is definitely a muscle to stretch, but I think when you've

Rebecca:

done mindset work, And I saw this with you, is you get curious as to why.

Rebecca:

So if you're like, okay, I'm gonna put this money into

Rebecca:

ads, this is what I'm doing.

Rebecca:

If it doesn't work, that means absolutely fuck all to do with me.

Rebecca:

It's, it doesn't mean that I'm not good enough or that my work

Rebecca:

isn't good enough, or that I'm, this is never gonna happen for me.

Rebecca:

Actually what it is, is it's a transactional situation that I need to

Rebecca:

look at from face value, get curious to as to why it's not working and change it.

Rebecca:

And I think there's a lot of, you know, when you get to that level,

Rebecca:

you have to see business in that way.

Rebecca:

Because I think when we first start our business we're so, I mean, I was obsessed,

Rebecca:

still am obsessed with my business, but in a different way, a very detached way now.

Rebecca:

But like I was, it was so encompassing and I made everything about me and every

Rebecca:

client that said no was to do with me.

Rebecca:

And you can't run a business like that.

Rebecca:

McDonald's definitely isn't running their business like that.

Rebecca:

If someone ain't buying the cheeseburger, do you know, like

Sophie:

like, oh my God, they prefer Burger King.

Rebecca:

Yeah.

Sophie:

just stop doing, we should just stop doing burgers

Rebecca:

Yeah,

Sophie:

people are the

Rebecca:

that's it.

Rebecca:

I'm done.

Sophie:

Burger King.

Sophie:

Yeah, exactly.

Sophie:

It's over guys.

Rebecca:

but like, you know, you really have to detach from what you

Rebecca:

are creating, being about you in that level, and you really have to see

Rebecca:

it as, as curiosity, like, I spoke about this in my podcast this morning.

Rebecca:

It's that knowing that.

Rebecca:

It can change and get curious of that.

Rebecca:

And if something isn't working from a strategic point of view, first of all,

Rebecca:

I definitely do look at the mindset with my clients, cuz a lot of the time it is.

Rebecca:

But sometimes in business if things aren't happening, it probably is

Rebecca:

strategic and things can change or shift or you know, slightly.

Rebecca:

Merge into something else, but it's that curiosity.

Rebecca:

It's a very different way of looking at it than, oh my God, I'm gonna

Rebecca:

burn my business down to the ground because I've done this one launch

Rebecca:

with these ads and it's not worked.

Rebecca:

And you know, it's very different.

Sophie:

Yeah.

Sophie:

And if I don't post today on Instagram, like I might miss an

Sophie:

opportunity and then I'm inconsistent and what does that say about me?

Sophie:

And yeah, it's like, Knowing, like I think feeling safe as well to trust that you.

Sophie:

Can, it's not even just about the money, is it that you, you know,

Sophie:

can bring into other people into the business to help you grow it and have

Sophie:

that safety in that you can step away from it and go on holiday and other

Sophie:

people can keep your business running?

Sophie:

It's not because when it's your identity and when it's you, you,

Sophie:

you only trust yourself to run it.

Sophie:

You like you're never off.

Sophie:

Like, I don't care what anyone says.

Sophie:

Like when you're in that space and that state, like you are never off because

Sophie:

you were always thinking like, oh.

Sophie:

I better just, you know, better just check in on Instagram.

Sophie:

I better quickly check my emails.

Sophie:

Like, oh, if something bad happens or you know something, something needs me,

Sophie:

then I need to be available just in case.

Sophie:

And I think setting up systems and having people around you, there's that

Sophie:

energetic trust as well, isn't there?

Sophie:

That actually, yeah.

Sophie:

Other people can run this business.

Sophie:

As well alongside me and having that leadership and being able to then

Sophie:

translate what you, what your business is about, how you want things to

Sophie:

run is a next level thing, isn't it?

Sophie:

Like I feel like I'm kind of stepping into that bit at the moment.

Rebecca:

Yeah, definitely kind of really encompassing the ceo, which I think

Rebecca:

it's hard because you don't, you don't almost get taught that I think as a

Rebecca:

business owner, like you start as a, a lot of people start as a freelancer or

Rebecca:

a lot of people start as like doing bits here and there for, you know, like I

Rebecca:

was doing hypnotherapy for weight loss.

Rebecca:

Got loads of things going on, and all of a sudden you're like, wow, okay,

Rebecca:

I'm now leading myself to run this empire, and it's not just on me anymore.

Rebecca:

Like I get to trust me, which is why I think like the trust

Rebecca:

piece is so, so important to trust your decisions and trust.

Rebecca:

You which I think like a lot of clients, like I can't, I don't

Rebecca:

really resonate with this cuz I was a performer, so I've been self-employed

Rebecca:

since I kind of started working almost.

Rebecca:

But you know, when you've been in a nine to five, you have people looking

Rebecca:

over you, you have your KPIs, you have your, you know exactly what

Rebecca:

you're turning up and doing that day.

Rebecca:

But with your business, you're like, wow, okay.

Rebecca:

Like I've gotta put my schedule in now, like, What?

Rebecca:

You know, like it's, it's working on that and then working enough to

Rebecca:

trust yourself to go, okay, this is the decision that we are doing

Rebecca:

everyone on board, let's go and do it.

Rebecca:

And I think that's where the curiosity comes in as well as the, okay, maybe

Rebecca:

it didn't work, maybe it did, but we went there and I trusted myself.

Rebecca:

You know, I can't remember who said it.

Rebecca:

I think it might be Steven Bartlett.

Rebecca:

He was saying You know, there's two types of business owners.

Rebecca:

There's a business owner who, who completely trusts themselves.

Rebecca:

Try it out if it doesn't work, you know, within a week.

Rebecca:

Or the business owner who fluffs around on that same decision takes a year to

Rebecca:

decide and then finds out it doesn't work.

Rebecca:

And you know, is it a month or is it a year?

Rebecca:

Which one are you kind of choosing?

Rebecca:

And I think that is,

Sophie:

Yeah.

Rebecca:

it is risk, but it's also reward with your business.

Rebecca:

And I think if you can trust yourself.

Rebecca:

To, you know, you are, you are at a heightened risk when you, when you start

Rebecca:

really growing your business, aren't you?

Rebecca:

And, and you have to be okay with that.

Sophie:

Yeah, and I think what we were talking about a little bit

Sophie:

before we started recording was this feeling like as you got to these

Sophie:

next levels, so as you start to.

Sophie:

You know, move out of your comfort zone and take the next level and

Sophie:

start to, you know, bring in more money and have maybe slightly

Sophie:

different structure of the business.

Sophie:

Do things slightly differently.

Sophie:

You can feel a bit like you're a beginner again, can't you?

Sophie:

Like that fear can creep back in and like you might have had like really solid trust

Sophie:

in yourself, you know in yourself and your decisions, how your business is running.

Sophie:

And then you're making these changes.

Sophie:

You're bringing in more money.

Sophie:

It's a different level of client.

Sophie:

It's something else you know, is coming into play.

Sophie:

Or maybe you've started taking on team members and suddenly you're like, Oh my

Sophie:

God, I, I feel like I've lost my plan.

Rebecca:

Mm-hmm.

Rebecca:

And I think you do almost revert back to.

Rebecca:

The, the little you that started your business who was like flitting around

Rebecca:

and downloading the master classes and trying to overlearn, you know, a

Rebecca:

lot of my clients are at that space when they first started start working

Rebecca:

with me, and it's that overlearn over consume constantly watching what

Rebecca:

the seven figure coaches are doing.

Rebecca:

And that's what you used to do, whe right at the beginning of your business,

Rebecca:

it, Alma, you almost go back into that because you are at that next phase

Rebecca:

and you are having to learn again.

Rebecca:

And it feels uncomfortable because you don't know and because you've sat

Rebecca:

in, we have four stages of learning.

Rebecca:

I won't go completely into it cause I don't wanna bore everyone, but I do.

Rebecca:

I love it myself.

Rebecca:

But,

Sophie:

for it, but yeah.

Rebecca:

But two of the stages of learning that I talk about the most

Rebecca:

is being consciously competent.

Rebecca:

So when you are in consciously competent phase of learning, You have to really

Rebecca:

think about what you are doing.

Rebecca:

Everything is very conscious.

Rebecca:

So think about when you first started driving your car.

Rebecca:

It was like, okay 10 and two, look at the mirror, this and this.

Rebecca:

Like everything was so energetically you really had to think about it.

Rebecca:

It was quite tiring when you were first learning exhausted and now you get in

Rebecca:

the car and you know, just a little, I used to do my makeup in the car.

Rebecca:

Like, how bad is that?

Sophie:

I mean, I often get to places and think like, I don't know.

Sophie:

I don't know how I got

Rebecca:

No, exactly.

Sophie:

if a red was in a red light, I would've stopped.

Sophie:

So

Rebecca:

it's that.

Rebecca:

But that's the set, like that's our last stage of learning, which

Rebecca:

is your subconscious competence.

Rebecca:

And actually when you've been in subconscious competence for a long time

Rebecca:

in your business, which is when you are playing in your comfort zone and you're

Rebecca:

doing the things that you've always done and you do stories very easily and

Rebecca:

you post on Instagram very easily and.

Rebecca:

You can sign clients very easily and then you go, okay, now let's

Rebecca:

add funnels and ads and the bigger picture and let's get the PR people

Rebecca:

in and let's start writing a book.

Rebecca:

It you are, you are back at that conscious competence where a lot of

Rebecca:

time your ego then goes, oh, no, no, no.

Sophie:

Oh dear.

Sophie:

Whoa.

Sophie:

Who?

Sophie:

Oh

Rebecca:

We cannot be a beginner because we've been an advanced

Rebecca:

business owner for a long time.

Rebecca:

Like there is no way I'm going back to this and it's actually calling yourself

Rebecca:

out on that being like, no, it's okay.

Rebecca:

It's okay to be a beginner again, I haven't gone back to the start, you

Rebecca:

know, I get clients that say this all the time if we've changed their

Rebecca:

niche or they're like, oh God, I'm starting from the beginning and I'm

Rebecca:

like, no, you're just having to think about what you're doing at the moment.

Rebecca:

That's all it is.

Rebecca:

That was a big tangent, but

Sophie:

No, I love, I loved it and I mean, I think it probably leads quite

Sophie:

nicely into the fact that you are sort of going through that at the moment in

Sophie:

terms of, so at this point you sort of grown your business pretty much all on

Sophie:

Instagram, which is kind of incredible cause it's not like you've got like

Sophie:

hundreds of thousands of followers either.

Sophie:

I think that's such a testament, isn't it?

Sophie:

Like getting to like 20 to 30 K months on.

Sophie:

One single platform, one single focus.

Sophie:

And also something I was gonna talk a little bit about later, something

Sophie:

I've taken from working with you as well, it's like one offer.

Sophie:

Like it's just, you know, I mean you do little bits and pieces like a

Sophie:

masterclass or an in-person day or, and you've obviously recently launched

Sophie:

your membership, but up until a couple of months ago, like you, literally,

Sophie:

your primary income source was people working with you one-to-one over a

Sophie:

month, three months, or six months,

Rebecca:

Yeah.

Rebecca:

Yeah, basically.

Rebecca:

And I think like I kind of, it was weird cause I fell in that when I moved

Rebecca:

home from Australia and I actually, you know, I had done the launches.

Rebecca:

I had a group course called Visibility Queen.

Rebecca:

This was kind of more when I was in I did a lot of work with writing content

Rebecca:

and being visible as a mindset coach.

Rebecca:

And then I switched when I came back home.

Rebecca:

And you know, like I had a group course called Visibility Queen.

Rebecca:

I had the content bible, like I had all of the group courses and stuff,

Rebecca:

and when I moved back home I felt really unaligned, which I think a lot

Rebecca:

of my clients go through too, which is why I can resonate where I'm, I was

Rebecca:

like, I fell into this and actually this is not why I've done my business.

Rebecca:

You know, it's not why I started and I really moved into the mindset

Rebecca:

side of business and I still teach content and visibility.

Rebecca:

It's still part of.

Rebecca:

Parcel of the business now.

Rebecca:

But, you know, I, I really, because I moved back from Australia and went

Rebecca:

through a huge breakup, I didn't have the capacity to sell anything else.

Rebecca:

I literally had no creativity for a very long time because I was dealing with

Rebecca:

moving back and everything else that the breakup brought, you know, brought on and.

Rebecca:

I decided then and there that it was like, okay, well it's one-to-one.

Rebecca:

Like that's how you work with me and I did it so well that I can drop

Rebecca:

one-to-one on my stories and within three hours they'll be the next person in.

Rebecca:

You know, because I've made it that, and I think growing the sustainability

Rebecca:

through one-to-one of reoccurring revenue is where it's at, if I'm honest.

Rebecca:

It's where it's at.

Sophie:

Yeah, I find it incredible.

Sophie:

And but at this point, so now you've introduced as you're, obviously you're

Sophie:

more settled now when you are, you know, you've moved into your lovely house and

Sophie:

you've got Barney and Jack and you are like pushing to your next kind of level.

Sophie:

You've obviously got the membership and As, and this is actually,

Sophie:

I mean, not quite, I don't.

Sophie:

Not most of my clients, not quite at where you're at in terms financially

Sophie:

before they start the membership.

Sophie:

But often you'll get to like this high level capacity with one-to-one.

Sophie:

You kind of re you realize that, you know, there's only so many

Sophie:

people you can see and you've kind of reached your upper limit.

Sophie:

So we go into more of a group program or a membership or

Sophie:

whatever it is, and actually lead.

Sophie:

Jen for that is, is a different ballgame.

Sophie:

And it's, it's, I think we talked a little bit about earlier, you know, expecting

Sophie:

just to do the same thing like, you know, for you to like work harder on

Sophie:

Instagram, do more Instagram to get those leads is just not, it's not sustainable

Sophie:

and it's not really, you know, much bigger businesses like British Airways

Sophie:

or you know, McDonald's or whatever, they don't just use one approach and,

Sophie:

and just do more of it to get more sales.

Sophie:

You know, you start to bring in other legion.

Sophie:

As well.

Sophie:

And is that, is that what's kind of brought on your Facebook,

Sophie:

looking at Facebook ads?

Rebecca:

Yeah, for sure.

Rebecca:

The way that I speak about my business is about playing bigger and I always

Rebecca:

embody what I teach and I'm like, if I'm not playing bigger, then how can I

Rebecca:

expect to tell my clients to play bigger?

Rebecca:

And, you know, my dreams are to be, you know, flying around

Rebecca:

the world, speaking and.

Rebecca:

You know, have the book tour and be on this morning on the couch.

Rebecca:

You know, like all of those are, are my big dreams.

Rebecca:

And if I'm not doing things in my business to, to match where I want that to be,

Rebecca:

it's, I'm not working towards anything.

Rebecca:

And yes, I can stay in the comfort.

Rebecca:

And yes, I have a very nice life right now.

Rebecca:

And I love my one-to-one clients, but like there is, I have to do like

Rebecca:

not do more, but I have to reach more to get to where I want to be.

Rebecca:

And.

Rebecca:

I think there is a certain way that you can do that on Instagram through, you

Rebecca:

know, being very lucky with a real going viral if you get viral in the right place.

Rebecca:

Or TikTok.

Rebecca:

But again, that's more work, you know?

Rebecca:

That's more work.

Rebecca:

And I have got to a point now where I really love having the afternoon off

Rebecca:

or, you know, multiple days off or.

Rebecca:

Having that space and time to go and be creative will hold

Rebecca:

more space for my clients.

Rebecca:

And I think there's, there's that in between where, and I

Rebecca:

know a lot of people are like, I did this organically by myself.

Rebecca:

And I feel like there's a bit of a, there's a bit of a like, oh,

Rebecca:

well you used Facebook ads, did you like, there is a bit of that.

Sophie:

I actually saw one of those this morning on Instagram.

Sophie:

Like, I have made this amount of money organically.

Sophie:

I've never spent on ads just from this.

Sophie:

It's like, well, that's great, but that's great,

Rebecca:

great for you.

Sophie:

Yeah, babe.

Sophie:

But I also don't, I think, you know, throwing shade on using ads,

Rebecca:

Yeah.

Rebecca:

Like there's no, there's no, there's, I don't believe there is

Rebecca:

anything wrong with it, and I don't think we need to celebrate either.

Rebecca:

Like, yes, I've grown my business organically, but if.

Rebecca:

But if I didn't, then I probably would've looked at it earlier.

Rebecca:

It's just that I, you know, created a space on Instagram that allowed

Rebecca:

me to, to be in the authority.

Rebecca:

I'm very good at what I do, so people talk about it, you know, like

Rebecca:

there's, there's so many factors of that working on Instagram, and I do

Rebecca:

think that having a bigger following.

Rebecca:

On Instagram as much as people say it's not, it does help with authority,

Rebecca:

like instant authority and, and trust for, for your lower ticket offers.

Rebecca:

And that's just something that I was like, I wanna reach more people

Rebecca:

and I don't wanna keep doing more stories Ev like to, to do that.

Rebecca:

And I don't reach more people on stories anyway because the

Rebecca:

same, the same people watch.

Rebecca:

So it's more about getting more, more aligned clients in

Rebecca:

and Facebook ads would do that.

Sophie:

Yeah, and actually I think as well as you grow a business, You

Sophie:

know that feeling of being much more in control about your business, like,

Sophie:

yeah, okay, you might get a viral reel and you might suddenly get to like

Sophie:

30,000 followers, but are you gonna put the success of your business in

Sophie:

potentially going viral, or are you gonna have a strategic plan that brings.

Sophie:

And you never like that viral reel.

Sophie:

I have actually some clients who have had viral reels and

Sophie:

they are not the right people

Rebecca:

no.

Sophie:

never quite know which one's gonna go viral or where it's gonna go viral and

Sophie:

the type of people it's gonna attract in.

Sophie:

And actually like their engagement's plummeted since because they can't reach

Sophie:

the people that actually are interested.

Sophie:

You know that.

Sophie:

Cause it's a tiny fraction now of what.

Sophie:

They are.

Sophie:

So

Rebecca:

It is

Sophie:

it's having that like repeatable system you can be confident in when you

Sophie:

are sending something like a membership where you want to bring people in more

Sophie:

regularly, you need to know that, okay, I need to reach this amount of people, you

Sophie:

know, this amount of people on the list.

Sophie:

I then, you know, send them these emails, which I know will convert to this and

Sophie:

it's suddenly becomes this process that's, you know, easy and repeatable

Rebecca:

Yeah,

Sophie:

you are not relying, like you say on like a viral reel or

Sophie:

doing more and that, and then your social media just supports that and

Rebecca:

Yeah.

Rebecca:

And then you are, you are the shopfront, aren't you?

Rebecca:

Then on your social media and you can step into that.

Rebecca:

You know, that's something, one of the big things that I've, you know, I've

Rebecca:

spoke about it on a lot of podcasts, but I've always wanted to be famous since,

Rebecca:

ever since I was a tiny, tiny baby.

Rebecca:

And I believe that I have a platform.

Rebecca:

Form now where that could be a possibility.

Rebecca:

And I do need to get in front of more eyes and more people who are aligned.

Rebecca:

And yes, I can more than happily keep selling one-to-ones for the rest of

Rebecca:

my life and know that that would be okay, but I, I equally know that.

Rebecca:

To have something different, you have to do something different.

Rebecca:

And I think that's where you get to, isn't it?

Rebecca:

And then it's making the decision.

Rebecca:

And you know, I get it, it's easier when you've got the, the cash

Rebecca:

in the bank to spend on, on ads.

Rebecca:

Like I get that.

Rebecca:

But if you are doing it right, and if you're doing it strategic,

Rebecca:

you'll see an ROI anyway.

Sophie:

And that's where like, you know, investing in support, again, whether

Sophie:

it's with mindset or strategy or ads or email, I mean, for me that's definitely,

Sophie:

it's definitely the plan going forward.

Sophie:

It's had quite a good response so far.

Sophie:

Okay.

Sophie:

Oh my gosh, that's been amazing.

Sophie:

So the own, the last thing I wanted to share, which is a few things.

Sophie:

As I was reflecting on the things that, like having worked with Beck,

Sophie:

Things I've kind of taken away.

Sophie:

I mean, I won't go into all of the, the mindset stuff.

Sophie:

There's a lot going on there, but there's a few things in the

Sophie:

way that Beck runs her business.

Sophie:

I just thought it might be interesting for people to know.

Sophie:

So first of all, I have access on Voxer in between our calls.

Sophie:

And I, you know, things come to me at random times of the day and obviously

Sophie:

I work around my kids and often I'm working in the evening or the weekend.

Sophie:

But.

Sophie:

Like Beck, and actually this is true of all my coaches that

Sophie:

I choose to work with, have really, really strong boundaries.

Sophie:

And I find, I find having boundaries with clients really hard.

Sophie:

I feel like, oh, I'm not being flexible enough, like, or they won't like me.

Sophie:

Or what if they don't enjoy that boundary?

Sophie:

And actually, What I realized from working with Beck is that

Sophie:

boundaries make me feel safe.

Sophie:

It makes, I know that I could message her at like nine o'clock on a Friday night.

Sophie:

If there's something like, oh my God, I really need to

Sophie:

talk to you about next week.

Sophie:

Or, you know, I've just had this massive realization.

Sophie:

I just need to like verbalize it quickly.

Sophie:

I know there's no worry in me.

Sophie:

That she's going to feel like she has to come back to me or

Sophie:

be like, oh, fuck sake, Sophie.

Sophie:

Like it's nine o'clock on a Friday.

Sophie:

Like, this is an inappropriate, you know, it's not business hours.

Sophie:

Like, cuz I know that she has boundary and she won't look at Voxer until

Sophie:

it's a time that's right for her.

Sophie:

And, and of all my coaches are exactly the same.

Sophie:

So really, really clear boundaries.

Sophie:

It's helped me get much clearer with my boundaries, with my clients.

Sophie:

And not feeling bad for not being available for my clients

Sophie:

at nine o'clock on Friday.

Sophie:

Now, I, if they email me at nine o'clock on a Friday night or Vox me, that's,

Sophie:

that's absolutely fine, but I'm not gonna feel guilty for not going back

Sophie:

to them until Monday when I'm, and not even Monday, first thing, like at 7:00

Sophie:

AM when I, you know, technically it's a workday, like when I am in a space where

Sophie:

I'm ready to reply to them properly.

Sophie:

The second thing is, Kind of having that light bulb moment of I actually am able

Sophie:

to create a business that works for me.

Sophie:

So Beck does a week of calls on and a week of calls off.

Sophie:

So like all her client calls are one week and then the next week there's no calls.

Sophie:

And like, honestly, that like blew my mind.

Sophie:

I was like, oh yeah, oh yeah, I could do that.

Sophie:

I could do that too.

Sophie:

Oh my God.

Rebecca:

that session

Sophie:

Do you remember I.

Sophie:

You just align them all up.

Sophie:

So yeah, so my clients have fortnightly calls every other week and one week

Sophie:

we have calls and one week we don't.

Sophie:

It's taken me quite a long time to cycle through like different clients and get

Sophie:

to that point, but I'm pretty much there now and you know, when I now book new

Sophie:

clients in, you know, when I tell them my availability, it's on my on weeks and my

Sophie:

off weeks are booked out in my calendar.

Sophie:

So people can't kind of book in anything unless I kind of choose

Sophie:

to add something in, like I do podcast recordings, for example.

Sophie:

But yeah, it kind of totally blew my mind and really opened

Sophie:

my eyes to the fact that.

Sophie:

I really need to start thinking about how I want to run this business,

Sophie:

like what is gonna work for me?

Sophie:

Because I didn't even know that I wanted that.

Sophie:

Like I didn't even know that a whole week off calls would feel really

Sophie:

spacious and luxurious and like the life that I want to be living.

Sophie:

I didn't know that I was missing that until I sort of really sat

Sophie:

down and thought, okay, yeah.

Sophie:

What I'm feeling at the moment is I have a co maybe two or three calls a day and

Sophie:

I'm not ever getting into something.

Sophie:

Really in a deep kind of way.

Sophie:

Yeah.

Sophie:

And I'd had like days where I was like, okay, I'm not gonna

Sophie:

have any calls on a Tuesday.

Sophie:

But even so, I just, I just found the rest of the week was then chaotic and

Sophie:

I tried to do all my, like, admin, marketing, everything on a Tuesday,

Sophie:

and that made that feel really heavy.

Sophie:

So having it split by week has, has massively, massively helped.

Sophie:

And then I think the last thing we actually touched on this earlier

Sophie:

actually, is that I don't have to create a complicated business.

Sophie:

I don't have to have a 27 pound offer and a, you know, an

Sophie:

initial step to working with me.

Sophie:

And then a and then a, you know, a 97 pound, an offer, you know, per month.

Sophie:

And then my high ticket actually, I can just work with people.

Sophie:

On a high ticket basis, and now like with the rebrand and the

Sophie:

relaunch, I have basically the same service, but just in three ways.

Sophie:

I can either, you know, coach you and we'll work together one-to-one for

Sophie:

me to help you implement your plan.

Sophie:

I can create the plan for you and then you can get your team to implement it, or

Sophie:

I can create the plan and do it for you.

Sophie:

But essentially the strategy of me creating this like end-to-end

Sophie:

customer journey so that you are.

Sophie:

You know, bringing people into your world and like make consistently

Sophie:

kind of churning them into clients and giving them like a really

Sophie:

amazing journey along the way.

Sophie:

That's just one product now.

Sophie:

Like, and I'm just kind of working with people in a different way and

Sophie:

that just feels so good compared to, I was, you know, with group program

Sophie:

and one-to-one coaching and management and there's so many different things.

Sophie:

I was on, you know, a bit of Facebook ads and then sometimes I was

Sophie:

helping people with email marketing.

Sophie:

Just felt really bitty.

Sophie:

It's really nice to just have that super clarity now on like,

Sophie:

this is what I love doing.

Sophie:

This is what I'm gonna do and the right people will want to work with me for that.

Sophie:

I don't have to offer something at every, every budget.

Rebecca:

Yeah.

Sophie:

I think was quite a big revelation for me as well.

Sophie:

So I thought that might be helpful for people to hear a

Rebecca:

I love that.

Rebecca:

I love that reflection.

Sophie:

Okay.

Sophie:

So, oh my gosh, we've talked about a lot today.

Sophie:

It's quite easy to go away feeling a little bit overwhelmed.

Sophie:

So what's the one thing you'd advise someone to do after

Sophie:

listening to this podcast today?

Rebecca:

So depending on what has perked your ear the most,

Sophie:

percolated then

Rebecca:

That's a nice word

Sophie:

percolated in your life.

Rebecca:

that would've made me sound much more intelligent.

Sophie:

Yeah.

Rebecca:

I, I would actually start having a look at.

Rebecca:

Might feel a bit weird, but start having a look where you're

Rebecca:

feeling really comfortable

Sophie:

Mm.

Rebecca:

actually discomfort is the sign that we are growing.

Rebecca:

And if you are in the, the phase of your business where you are

Rebecca:

wanting the next level, where you.

Rebecca:

Are wanting to move into next level of visibility or next

Rebecca:

level of finance, or next level of ways of holding your clients.

Rebecca:

Where is it that you feel really, really comfortable right now?

Rebecca:

And then ask yourself, okay, if I carried on doing this for.

Rebecca:

The next year, the next five years, would it get me to that place?

Rebecca:

And if the answer is no, have a look at what it is around the comfort

Rebecca:

that's kind of keeping you safe.

Rebecca:

Because you all know deep down that you're keeping yourself safe.

Rebecca:

I know it.

Rebecca:

You know it.

Rebecca:

We all know it.

Sophie:

know it.

Sophie:

I know.

Sophie:

We all know.

Sophie:

Oh God, really?

Sophie:

I think it's that thing.

Sophie:

You know is at that early stages is hard work.

Rebecca:

Yeah, but it's so cozy.

Sophie:

I've got it.

Sophie:

But you're right, like, and if you are happy with the level of income and you've

Sophie:

found your balance, like absolutely fine.

Sophie:

But if you are yes.

Sophie:

Striving for a financial, either consistency or next level, and you are

Sophie:

not getting there with what you're doing, like you've gotta look at it differently.

Rebecca:

Yeah.

Rebecca:

Yeah.

Rebecca:

Start with the mind.

Sophie:

with that.

Sophie:

Start with the mind.

Sophie:

Amazing.

Sophie:

Thank you so much.

Sophie:

Well, if you want to find out more about Beck, you'll find

Sophie:

her on Instagram obviously.

Sophie:

I will put her link her by.

Sophie:

I'll put her handle in the show notes.

Sophie:

And she also has her own podcast, which is really, really good and is

Sophie:

an additional coaching session for me most weeks called Higher Self.

Sophie:

And I she has a brilliant quiz called the Chief Entrepreneur Identity, the

Sophie:

c e I quiz and, and you can find out what your unique c e o profile is so

Sophie:

you can kind of operate your business based on you, which is a bit about

Sophie:

what I was talking about earlier.

Sophie:

And as I also mentioned, she has an amazing membership.

Sophie:

For high achieving entrepreneurs ready to achieve its success and

Sophie:

unlock their business growth through mindset work and hypnotherapy.

Rebecca:

Woohoo.

Sophie:

Woohoo.

Sophie:

All of those links obviously will be in the show notes and if

Sophie:

you go over to Instagram, you'll find them all there as well.

Sophie:

Of course.

Sophie:

Thank you so much, Beck, for joining me today.
