This podcast series brings together people affected by SCD and specialist hematologists to shed light on this widely misunderstood condition, bringing the guidelines to life and helping healthcare professionals improve their practice by understanding the patient experience.

In the second episode, a mother and daughter affected by sickle cell are joined by hematologist Professor Léon Tshilolo for an interview with Mandi Watty-Miller, an individual with sickle cell trait. They discuss the experience of raising a child with sickle cell disease, navigating the world of online misinformation about the condition, and how to improve communication and trust between doctors and patients.
