Noticing the story of your past and how it’s affecting your present can help you recontextualize it. This can lead to healing changes such as removing limiting beliefs, removing some of the sting of the past, and others. All of this can help lead you into a better future.
To accomplish this, I want to talk about how to change your past. I truly believe you can change your past… in a way. In the most important way. It’s not about changing facts or pretending things didn’t happen. And it’s not about making up a new past. It’s all about redefining how you tell your story, how you view things from your past, and how you allow that to shape your present and your future.
“Our past no longer exists in any place except our mind… If you’re thinking about your past, you’re doing so now, you’re doing so in the present moment… The only way your past exists now is in your thought or thoughts about it. Otherwise, it doesn’t really affect you.” – Dr. Sara Dill
