Today’s guest, Emily Shaw, and I have been social media friends for a few years so bringing her on the podcast today felt extra fun and special! Our conversation was sparked by an instagram post about 5 strategies to create better habits. As I scrolled through the post nodding along, I knew we had to create this episode to share with you! Dairy Girl Fitness was created almost five years ago as Emily's way to show others that you don't need to cut dairy and other animal products out of your diet to be “healthy.” She wants to encourage women to make their health a priority, and show that it doesn't have to be extreme or confusing. Emily wants Dairy Girl Fitness to represent a strong, confident, and hardworking group of women.
In this episode, we cover:
- The role habits play in accomplishing the things we want to accomplish
- Being intentional with our habits and the actions we take
- How important both our mindset and our environment are if we want to make changes
