Speaker A:Talks about fixing those design fails.
Speaker A:It could have been one that you inherited or one you missed the mark on.
Speaker B:The next one here is what to do with worn out bamboo flooring or click and place hardwoods.
Speaker B:Here's the problem with those pre finished hardwood floors that are a veneer that look like a plywood one.
Speaker B:They have that aluminum oxide coating which most floor refinishing companies won't touch because the stuff is so toxic to work with and you really have to sand it down.
Speaker B:The next problem is that veneer on many of those are not as thick as the your thumbnail.
Speaker B:So it is so minor as far as you could over sand that and ruin the entire floor.
Speaker B:So really that stuff to me is, you know, maybe you can scuff it.
Speaker A:And put it Coming up in this week's second hour of the show.
Speaker A:In the second hour Eric G.
Speaker A: should be watching out for in: Speaker A:Buyer beware.
Speaker B:And here's one of the tricks we were just talking in the last break before that about moving company scams.
Speaker B:Some of the big ones are interesting when you're moving, you gotta be careful here because some of the most common scams are just this over the phone estimates.
Speaker B:Be careful of that.
Speaker B:Instead of coming on for an on site inspection, they don't want it.
Speaker B:They just ask you how many rooms and they give you a quote.
Speaker B:That's a red flag there.
Speaker B:So you make sure you want to get a free moving quote so they can see what's going on and have it in writing.
Speaker B:Now Bait and Switch is another one you got to be careful for.
Speaker B:So the moving company will offer you what appears to be a great estimate on it.
Speaker B:It's super good.
Speaker B:And then all of a sudden they show up and there's a new price.
Speaker A:All that and more on Saturday's around the House show with Eric G.
