Shownotes
When an earthquake shook San Diego, cameras at the zoo captured something remarkable. The older elephants immediately gathered around the younger calves, forming a protective “alert circle” while the ground moved beneath them.
Their instinct was not to run or protect themselves first. It was to surround the vulnerable. If creation reflects that kind of care, what might it reveal about the God who designed us to protect one another and promises to be our refuge?
Scripture (ESV): Psalm 46:1 – “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.”
Reflection Questions:
Who might need you to step closer and form a protective circle around them?
How would your fear change if you truly believed God was surrounding you in the middle of it?
