Taking care of our bodies, minds, souls, and spirits is essential because we only have one shot at life. While there are medical interventions available, they often signify that we haven't lived our lives in the best possible way. It's important to make positive changes when we catch these signals in time. However, if we neglect the rest and self-care we need, our bodies will eventually force us to rest and recharge. This is why it's crucial to allocate even just a few minutes a day for mental rejuvenation.


Incorporating practices such as meditation, prayer, and taking breaks can help us recharge and strengthen ourselves. It's not just about thinking or planning; we must take action by implementing healthier eating habits, exercise, and other self-care practices. By doing so, we stay strong and prepared for the opportunities that come our way. In the parable of the ten maids, those who were prepared and ready didn't miss out on opportunities. Being ready means taking care of ourselves so that we can seize the right opportunities as they arise.


Opportunities never get lost; they find someone who is ready and willing to accept them. If we want to make a meaningful impact and fulfill our purpose, we must prioritize our rest, recharge, exercise, and strength. By doing so, we position ourselves to step up when the right opportunity presents itself.
