Shownotes
Today, I want to share insights from a publication by Drs. Allen, Schwartz, and Herbst titled "Interstitial Fluid in Lipedema and Control Skin."
This paper, published in the peer-reviewed journal Women’s Health Reports in October 2020, aimed to investigate the accumulation of fluid around vessels and between skin fibers in the thigh tissue of women with lipedema.
Additionally, the study sought to identify whether abnormally permeable (leaky) blood vessels were more prevalent in the thighs compared to the abdomen in women with lipedema.
