Shownotes

In This episode, I want to bring awareness to Infant Loss and Infertility. This month honors this cause and partnering with Michele with On Angels Wings is a perfect organization as they provide ongoing support and grief recovery services for families who lose a child at birth or have a child with a life-limiting diagnosis (regardless of race, ethnicity, class status, religion, or orientation). Services begin with free therapeutic photography, and mental health and wellness support continues for the entirety of a qualifying child and/or family’s journey, all free of charge.

On Angel's Wing is in the middle of their annual fund campaign. The funds they raise through the first of the year contribute significantly to our operating expenses for the year ahead. While the services they offer are free (which is incredible!) to families, and performed by volunteer photographers, we still have daily operations needed for organizing upwards of 30-40 sessions each month and the support thereafter.

They are looking for individuals and businesses interested in partnering with them to support these families.

Michele's Bio:

Michelle L. Cramer founded OAW in 2013 after seeing a need to improve the mental health and wellness of families with medically fragile children or who lose a child at birth. This is done through free therapeutic photography and grief recovery services. Michelle is also a Certified Grief Recovery Method Specialist and author of Unshattered Grief: Helping others through loss without breaking them… again. Her continued passion to see societal change regarding the handling of grief led her to also begin advocating for a statewide bereavement leave policy at the Capitol this year.

Michelle and her husband, Josh, have been married for over 20 years and reside in Springfield, MO. They have two neurodivergent teenage boys who are schooled at home. The family loves their small zoo of eight pets, all things SciFi, their own version of carpool karaoke to classic rock, and experiencing new places together.
