welcome to the Don't Miss It podcast. As I've mentioned before, I'm kind of trying to do a prayer episode with every single regular episode that I'm doing in my series. so right now I'm trying to kind of do a guided prayer with every single episode. That's kind of related to what we talk about in the episode. for those that believe in God, to kind of practice prayer and, you know, go to God about it, I feel like that's the best source and the best help that we can ever get to change our lives. I just wanted to try a little bit something different today. I wanted to do the prayer first so I can kind of warm up my voice a little bit and get comfortable speaking. And I feel like in my last episode, I realized that. My voice changed throughout, like the course of the episode or my last prayer episode, and it started out like really monotone and flat and like a lot of vocal fry, which I'm trying to figure out how to navigate. so I'm trying to warm up my voice a little bit, but my vocal fry left and I started speaking more enthusiastically and I feel like you could hear me. Like expressing my love to God throughout the course of the episode. Like, I feel like you could just hear, like, love and awe in my voice. because I truly was like, when you start to think about it and you start talking to God and you start speaking over your life, and you start trying to speak over other people's and looking at the big picture, you can't help but be awed and like, speak with a lot of emotion. And especially when you know God can do powerful things. And you know God's going to take care of you. It's hard not to speak with a lot of love. Today's podcast is kind of all about being an active participant in your own life and not passively living. So let's go ahead and enter prayer. Dear Heavenly Father, right now I pray. Thank you for today. I pray. Thank you for the path that you've laid in front of us and for every listener that is here listening to this podcast, I thank you for the opportunity to get to be alive today, and to get to experience all the good things that you have in life And to get the opportunity to pursue the call for our lives right now. I pray that you would help us see opportunities to be more active participants in our lives. I pray that as we navigate our day to day, as we're walking through our daily routines and doing the things that feel normal and routine to us. They don't break the script at all. I pray that you would break this script, and I pray that you would just show us these opportunities so that we can do it wake us back up in moments that we feel like were put on autopilot, and we're not actively engaged in our lives, and we're not being appreciative of how lucky we are to be alive and that we are alive. I pray that as we're doing the mundane, even things that suck, even things that are boring, even things that we don't like necessarily. I pray that you would wake us up to the fact that we are still alive, and that we have autonomy. We have free will and that we are alive, and we should be thankful for that Just remind us to be grateful. Help us wake up in these moments so that we don't miss our lives. Dear Heavenly Father, I pray that you would just show us these opportunities because they might not be routine to us. They might not be habit to us. We might not have ever seen anybody in our lives that lives an active life where they're really deeply engaged with the things that make up their life, where they're deeply intertwined with the physical items And in relationship with their food and their media and their community and Their life just deeply connected with their lives and what it means to be them. And so, Lord, I pray that if we don't have those examples around us, I pray that you would bring people into our lives that show us how to do this. I pray that you create divine encounters only crafted by your hand, that brings in people into our lives, that show us how to live more actively and help us live a less passive life. Who want to go on the journey of living a less passive life with us. They don't want to sit around and watch TV. They don't want to sit around and watch other people live life. They don't want to be passive participants in their lives. They want to be active members of their lives. And they have similar values to us, and they have similar deep moral aligning to us. God, I pray that you bring those people into our lives to one. Help us see examples of this in the real world and to to be in community with us so that we have people to live out these moments with, that we're trying to pursue in our own lives, and that we're trying to implement and incorporate, As we're trying to take a hold of our lives and as we're trying to become more active members, these people are going to be there by our sides, and they're going to be there, and they're going to understand our values and our mission. And so, Lord, I pray that you bring those people into our lives. Let them be examples to us. God, I pray that you would open our eyes, open our ears, show us the things that we're missing in our day to day. Show us new things every single day. We might go to the same place every single day. We might go to the same job. We might be with the same people. Show us something new. Teach us something new every single day. Make us engage with our environment. Teach us how to talk to people. Teach us how to be in community. Teach us how to love people, teach us how to be hospitable and welcoming and warm and energetic, and help us embody your values and who you are, and help us step into our highest self and the person that you have crafted us to be in its most beautiful, positive and in line way. Help us be in line with that highest self that you've created for us, and with our spiritual gifts and our spiritual talents. God, I thank you for every single person listening to this podcast, and I pray that you would just help them step into that confident version of their godly self, the person that you designed them to be, so that they can go out and engage with their community and remind people of what it's like to be alive again. God, I pray, thank you. Thank you that you're going to bless us over this next week, that you're going to help us be more active participants in our lives. And Lord, I pray that you plant seeds in our lives that are going to be in the foundation of everything that we're going to do for the rest of our lives. Plant these seeds of how to be active participants in our lives, how to really live life, Teach us how to grow them. Teach us how to nurture them so that everybody around us will be inspired and be inspired to take hold of their life again. And Lord, I pray that you give us wisdom. Wisdom that if people come to us and they see how we are living as active members of our lives, or see that we're engaged, that we are in deep relationship with the life around us, that they one feel inspired and they see that it's possible. And they're offered a different perspective on how to live life, and that you give us a wisdom that if they come to us or if they need help stepping into that, that we would be able to guide them and say, hey, I also went through a similar time in my life, I want to help you. I want to show you how I did it. I want to be able to help you be a more active participant in your life. So, God, I just thank you for the people that you're going to send our way. I pray thank you for the opportunities that you're going to send our way, the eye opening moments that you're gonna you're gonna provide for us, I pray thank you for opening our eyes. Thank you for opening our ears. Thank you for today, God. And I thank you that you are going to bless us. You are such a good and awesome God. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
