Speaker:

Calling in all entrepreneurs, lightworkers, starseeds who are here ready to make impact, more money on this earth and shift to the fifth dimension.

Speaker:

Are you ready to ascend?

Speaker:

Welcome back to another Ascension Codes podcast.

Speaker:

I'm here with this incredible man named Ryan Drake.

Speaker:

I'm so humbled to have you on.

Speaker:

I'm so stoked to be here.

Speaker:

Now, Ryan, he helps mission-driven creative entrepreneurs grow and scale smarter with systems.

Speaker:

And guys, this man is so fucking intelligent.

Speaker:

I'm so excited for him to give you the wisdom into how he's helped scale his business and so many other incredible entrepreneurs.

Speaker:

So,

Speaker:

Beautiful, Ryan.

Speaker:

Welcome to the fucking show, my friend.

Speaker:

Thank you for having me.

Speaker:

I'm so stoked.

Speaker:

For those who are actually listening, we both dropped into each other's conversations on the same day and was like, can you please be a guest?

Speaker:

Yeah.

Speaker:

So we're going to be on each other's podcast, guys.

Speaker:

So stay tuned for both of our podcasts.

Speaker:

So cool.

Speaker:

So Ryan, for those of you who don't know who you are, who are you?

Speaker:

What do you do?

Speaker:

Tell the world.

Speaker:

That's a really hard thing to summarize, isn't it?

Speaker:

So I guess I would say that I'm a business consultant.

Speaker:

I work with service-based entrepreneurs, business owners, grow and scale.

Speaker:

And my background comes from marketing campaigns running

Speaker:

you know, hundreds of thousands of messages for brands like Kohl's and Flight Center.

Speaker:

Yes.

Speaker:

And then kind of growing my coaching business on the side, trying to help business owners grow and scale smarter so that they've got more time with their families and essentially work themselves out of their business.

Speaker:

Fuck man, I remember when I met you.

Speaker:

So guys, we met each other at one of our beautiful friend's house.

Speaker:

She was like, I'm putting a whole heap of millionaires all together for dinner.

Speaker:

And we ended up meeting each other and I was like, fuck.

Speaker:

This guy's amazing.

Speaker:

Like the way his mind works is so incredible.

Speaker:

I was like, man, I want to learn more about your magic.

Speaker:

So what are like the three main things that you love teaching people?

Speaker:

Oh my gosh.

Speaker:

That is like, how do you do three things?

Speaker:

Okay.

Speaker:

What are the, what are the things that you'd love to teach people?

Speaker:

The first thing that I always come back to is how do you want to design your life?

Speaker:

And how do you want to design your life guys?

Speaker:

I think it's so important because

Speaker:

I don't know about your clients as well, but sometimes they come with you with some convoluted vision of their life and they give you some arbitrary number.

Speaker:

They pull it out of the air.

Speaker:

They say, cool, I want to hit, you know, 20K, 50K, whatever it is.

Speaker:

But the number is meaningless.

Speaker:

And it's not until we spend time actually diving into describing, okay, cool.

Speaker:

Well, tell me about that life.

Speaker:

Tell me why does that number actually mean something for you?

Speaker:

Why should you spend all your time and energy actually pursuing that?

Speaker:

Because for a lot of people,

Speaker:

I think we're talking on Wednesday, actually.

Speaker:

It's going to cost you... I was sitting in the food court and I looked over at the KFC.

Speaker:

And I ran the numbers.

Speaker:

Yes, tell them this.

Speaker:

This is fucking juicy, man.

Speaker:

I ran the numbers.

Speaker:

I looked online.

Speaker:

You need about $2 million to open a KFC franchise.

Speaker:

And after all of the costs for the year, the business owner might get $150,000.

Speaker:

Guys, and this is K fucking FC.

Speaker:

What?

Speaker:

It's wild.

Speaker:

It's wild.

Speaker:

Imagine how much work and investment and

Speaker:

What a shit return on investment.

Speaker:

What a shit business plan.

Speaker:

Sorry.

Speaker:

And it fluctuates, right?

Speaker:

We've seen post COVID all these businesses close, coffee shops, all these brands that we love.

Speaker:

It's such a fickle industry.

Speaker:

And I say, cool.

Speaker:

Well, that's the million dollar business dream.

Speaker:

And yet you don't walk away with a lot.

Speaker:

So get really clear about what it is you want to create for your life.

Speaker:

And then we can design it how you like, because if you're a woman, you're listening to this and you're of child bearing age, for example.

Speaker:

Childbearing age.

Speaker:

Then you kind of want to think about, well, I don't actually probably want to produce so many services.

Speaker:

Yeah.

Speaker:

I want to productize myself.

Speaker:

I want to create products that might need to sell so that when I give birth, I, um, I don't have space.

Speaker:

I actually have a business.

Speaker:

Right.

Speaker:

Cause otherwise you don't have time to, to work in the business or your clients dry up if you're purely, um, in your business and you're working all these hours.

Speaker:

So that's where I probably get lit up the most and then talking to people about their, their mission.

Speaker:

Yes.

Speaker:

Oh my God.

Speaker:

Do you know that it's like my biggest teaching?

Speaker:

No.

Speaker:

Oh my God, babe.

Speaker:

We're just getting, ah, it's so good.

Speaker:

So guys, we're new friends.

Speaker:

We've talked a couple of times and I'm like, we're totally, we're totally.

Speaker:

We're the same age.

Speaker:

That's what I worked out.

Speaker:

It was like 94 babies.

Speaker:

Man, when you told me that, when you text me like, 94 baby, I was like, what the fuck?

Speaker:

I thought you were so much older.

Speaker:

I love that.

Speaker:

And I'm like, we fucking killing it in our age, right?

Speaker:

Like we're actually doing so well.

Speaker:

Yeah, the 94 babies, if you're a 94 baby, fuck yeah.

Speaker:

One of my biggest teachings on this earth is to literally help people tune into their mission.

Speaker:

Last year, I helped 70 people get out of anxiety and depression.

Speaker:

And I realized that every single person that had anxiety and depression, all of them was lacking one thing.

Speaker:

Purpose, fulfillment, mission, right?

Speaker:

And all came back like purpose and fulfillment, I think actually equals mission.

Speaker:

If you're in full alignment with your mission, it's so easy.

Speaker:

And if you love what you do, it is so easy and it just flows and then

Speaker:

Money's not even a question.

Speaker:

Like, you don't have to actually think about it.

Speaker:

It just happens.

Speaker:

You don't have to think about, like, for me, like, this year I've tapped so deeply into my mission of helping humanity that, man, this year's been a fucking dream.

Speaker:

Like, when I think, like, we're in November, guys.

Speaker:

When I think about what I've been able to achieve in 10 months, 11 months, sorry, bam, in 11 months, I'm like, I've done so much and it's actually been so easy because the doors just open up so naturally because I'm in my mission.

Speaker:

Do you find that too?

Speaker:

This has been a really interesting conversation having with clients and they'll come to me and they're like, Ryan, I'm burnt out.

Speaker:

I said, Oh, that's interesting.

Speaker:

I said, if you were doing a hundred percent of the things that you actually love, would you be burnt out?

Speaker:

Yes.

Speaker:

Oh my God.

Speaker:

And so often people are chasing other people's goals.

Speaker:

And if you don't have a clear vision for what you want for your life,

Speaker:

You know, we say, without vision, the people perish.

Speaker:

And everyone ends up somewhere, but few people end up somewhere on purpose.

Speaker:

So it's knowing what are the things that you don't actually enjoy in your business.

Speaker:

What are the things we were talking just before about how much you love outsourcing parts of your life.

Speaker:

So that you can focus on your genius zone and focus on what it is you actually are lit up by.

Speaker:

Even though this year's been a whirlwind for you, would you, have you, could you describe periods of burnout or actually you're just being so... Yeah, totally.

Speaker:

And I mean, I've spoken about this in one of my podcasts.

Speaker:

I had, there was this, there was this two month period where I was just like, go, go, go, go, go, go, go all the time.

Speaker:

And I was like,

Speaker:

fuck, I'm actually so tired.

Speaker:

And I'm like, what am I doing?

Speaker:

And it was because I was so focused on everything that was external.

Speaker:

And I wasn't actually focused on really my true mission again.

Speaker:

So now like, I did a four day, four day cleanse, total detox, no music, no, no internet, no phone, no nothing, no dopamine man, full dopamine detox, read a book called Radical Forgiveness, went within, cried my little eyes out, journaled my little ass off.

Speaker:

Made love to myself a hundred fucking times.

Speaker:

I had so much free time, guys.

Speaker:

And literally, it was like such a beautiful time just to come back home and then really anchor into what my true mission is again.

Speaker:

And I feel so lit up again.

Speaker:

And then since then, been absolutely fine.

Speaker:

Everything's been so amazing.

Speaker:

So when I go back to this, there's two things that come into mind.

Speaker:

Firstly, I want to teach everyone.

Speaker:

I learned this from a mentor a few weeks ago, that when you speak about

Speaker:

want, need, should, or ought.

Speaker:

I ought to do that.

Speaker:

I have to do that.

Speaker:

I want to do that.

Speaker:

I need to do that.

Speaker:

It actually comes all from scarcity thinking, scarcity mindset.

Speaker:

And when you can actually go into what you love to do, which we were just talking about, when you utilize the language, I love to, or I am so open to doing that, what happens is you come more into alignment.

Speaker:

It's fucking brilliant, right?

Speaker:

And then the second thing I wanted to come back to,

Speaker:

Before we actually did this podcast, guys, we're having a little chitchat about our life.

Speaker:

And you mentioned to everyone about the cleaners.

Speaker:

Can you please tell everyone?

Speaker:

Guys, me and Ryan both like to outsource.

Speaker:

Everything.

Speaker:

Everything.

Speaker:

There is a way in my life at the moment, I'm trying to literally outsource almost everything so that I've got more time for him.

Speaker:

Like Marie Kondo, your calendar.

Speaker:

Yeah, it's so good.

Speaker:

So tell everyone about your, um, cleaner.

Speaker:

And the robot vacuum cleaner guys, I'm buying a robot vacuum cleaner.

Speaker:

What an absolute time-saver.

Speaker:

So you have to do it.

Speaker:

If you haven't already got one, it's amazing, particularly for carpet and hardwood.

Speaker:

And you can now get them where they can mop.

Speaker:

What?!

Speaker:

Which is wild.

Speaker:

A mop robot vacuum cleaner.

Speaker:

And if you, if you want to go like the bougie option, they can actually clean themselves.

Speaker:

So you don't even have to empty it for like three weeks, right?

Speaker:

Oh my god.

Speaker:

Which is absolutely wild.

Speaker:

Okay, so if a vacuum cleaner was to empty itself, what would it do?

Speaker:

Just like go to its base, suck it up into a larger like trash can, and then you just take that to the bin.

Speaker:

What the fuck?

Speaker:

Which is amazing.

Speaker:

And you can plug it into the tap and then it can just fill up the water itself.

Speaker:

So pretty wild.

Speaker:

Can you send me a link?

Speaker:

I will definitely.

Speaker:

Guys, we'll put it in the show notes too.

Speaker:

No kidding.

Speaker:

We're not selling vacuum cleaners here.

Speaker:

No, but what was interesting is you mentioned cleaners.

Speaker:

So, and this was prompted because you had a, you got a chef.

Speaker:

I got a chef guys.

Speaker:

I've got a chef, but not only I have a chef, my dog has a chef.

Speaker:

Two separate chefs.

Speaker:

Did you know that?

Speaker:

No.

Speaker:

Okay.

Speaker:

This is like another side story.

Speaker:

So my little dog, I love him so much.

Speaker:

He's like my whole entire life.

Speaker:

We have to have a puppy play date.

Speaker:

Yeah.

Speaker:

So one of my clients, she's a naturopath and her dog is 18 years old and still is like in perfect condition.

Speaker:

I was like, what the fuck?

Speaker:

What do you feed it?

Speaker:

She's like, I'm a naturopath.

Speaker:

I feed him organic, you know, veggies and chicken.

Speaker:

And I also put in naturopath.

Speaker:

pieces in it.

Speaker:

And she's like, I've researched so much.

Speaker:

I've looked at the puppy's paw and I've figured out how its health is by its paw and by its poo.

Speaker:

So she's like, can you send me some photos of his paw and his poo?

Speaker:

And I was like, you fucking bitch I'm going to.

Speaker:

So now she literally cooks all his meals, brings it over.

Speaker:

We change his naturopathy stuff.

Speaker:

And my dog is literally, every single person says, your dog looks so good.

Speaker:

I'm like,

Speaker:

I know he has his own chef.

Speaker:

That is amazing.

Speaker:

And I had my own chef guys.

Speaker:

It's a brilliant idea.

Speaker:

But not a cleaner yet.

Speaker:

Not a cleaner yet.

Speaker:

And this is the this is the reason why I actually love cleaning.

Speaker:

And I feel like I outsource so much other things.

Speaker:

I'm like, at what point do I just have so much free time?

Speaker:

I can do whatever I like.

Speaker:

Come on.

Speaker:

Then it's choices, isn't it?

Speaker:

Again, you get to design your life, because if you enjoy cleaning, then it's super fun.

Speaker:

I do love it.

Speaker:

And I put my music on, I put an incense on, I clean around the house.

Speaker:

I fucking love it.

Speaker:

Taylor Swift or Rihanna gets me cleaning about three times faster.

Speaker:

I love it.

Speaker:

I actually love house music, so I'm like...

Speaker:

uns, uns, uns, yeah, yeah, yeah, like, you know, like techno around the house, you know, it's great.

Speaker:

Do you want to go to Tomorrowland sometime?

Speaker:

I have been, babe.

Speaker:

You have been?

Speaker:

Yeah.

Speaker:

Oh my gosh.

Speaker:

I've been to Burning Man, Tomorrowland.

Speaker:

So good.

Speaker:

I've done most doofs in Australia.

Speaker:

I've done festivals all over Europe.

Speaker:

Oh yeah, babe, I've done it.

Speaker:

I've been there, done that.

Speaker:

But I actually, I'm thinking next year, me and a couple of my friends, if you're welcome to coming, we're going to go to Burning Man and I want to go with a videographer.

Speaker:

Fam, I might be taking you to Burning Man.

Speaker:

I didn't tell you that, but I'm telling you now.

Speaker:

Yeah, vibes creative guys, vibe creative.

Speaker:

Well, you might be taking, I literally want to take a videographer to Burning Man and do a full 10 day, like full outfits.

Speaker:

I'll get a, I'll get a, um, I'll get a fashion stylist to do all my outfits and shit.

Speaker:

Maybe take a makeup artist.

Speaker:

That's how rich I want to be next year.

Speaker:

And then you have the unfiltered version.

Speaker:

And then the safe for work version too.

Speaker:

That's like in the corner.

Speaker:

Another income stream.

Speaker:

Yes.

Speaker:

Ah, no, not for me.

Speaker:

But there's so many people now making so much money off it, right?

Speaker:

It's absolutely wild.

Speaker:

It is wild.

Speaker:

I mean, you don't have to do that.

Speaker:

There's spiritual creators.

Speaker:

There's someone who- Really?

Speaker:

OddlyFans spiritual creators?

Speaker:

Legit.

Speaker:

There's people who sell and educate others on crystals and they make $50,000 a month.

Speaker:

OddlyFans?

Speaker:

I'm not kidding.

Speaker:

Not kidding.

Speaker:

No.

Speaker:

Seriously.

Speaker:

What the fuck?

Speaker:

Yeah.

Speaker:

Oh my God.

Speaker:

It's wild.

Speaker:

This is wild.

Speaker:

Thank you for telling me.

Speaker:

I'm actually going to research this later.

Speaker:

Yeah, please.

Speaker:

One of my clients, she came to an event a few years ago just before COVID hit and her dream was to create a business.

Speaker:

It's called Jetlag Remedy.

Speaker:

Create a business that would actually come into your home and be like the fairies.

Speaker:

And if you were to travel, they would come in, clean your home, stock your fridge for you, make your bed, make sure that everything was ready so that when you returned with the family from holidays and her whole mission, which I love, is to create mental calmness.

Speaker:

four busy families.

Speaker:

And I love that.

Speaker:

And so where other cleaning businesses actually really struggled during COVID, hers boomed.

Speaker:

She's the number one cleaning business on, in the Northern beaches and Eastern Sydney.

Speaker:

And she's just expanding the Gold Coast.

Speaker:

So I've been having them come around for the last few weeks and then obviously Mutual Friend has got them around too, which is beautiful.

Speaker:

What I love though, in terms of the level of actually being able to outsource different things,

Speaker:

is the attention to detail.

Speaker:

Yeah, nice.

Speaker:

So I'm not sure about you, but I hate spending money.

Speaker:

I have no problem spending money and I will happily pay extra, but I hate spending excess money on poor quality.

Speaker:

Yeah, same.

Speaker:

Like a bad coffee?

Speaker:

I'm not going back to that coffee shop, right?

Speaker:

So the attention to detail that the cleaner has gone to, to just even remove things that you would never think about, but would add mental clutter.

Speaker:

Wow.

Speaker:

Oh my goodness.

Speaker:

Thank you so much.

Speaker:

I'll hook you up.

Speaker:

Yeah, please do.

Speaker:

I'd love that.

Speaker:

And so tell me about investing.

Speaker:

What would you like to know?

Speaker:

Everything that you know.

Speaker:

That's a broad topic.

Speaker:

What is something that you teach in terms of investing?

Speaker:

Because I know you teach investment.

Speaker:

So what do you actually teach?

Speaker:

Most of your clients are service-based.

Speaker:

Yes.

Speaker:

Correct.

Speaker:

All of them are coaches, healers, or spiritual entrepreneurs.

Speaker:

OK, amazing.

Speaker:

So you had one of our mutual friends on, Olivia, in the previous episode, right?

Speaker:

So Olivia's amazing.

Speaker:

And she talks about property.

Speaker:

Now, the way I look at service-based businesses is if you're in the online space, you have a personal brand, you often can't sell it.

Speaker:

So that's the biggest con.

Speaker:

You can't sell Natalie Patterson, right?

Speaker:

But what you can do with a service-based business is generate a shitload of cash flow.

Speaker:

to then pour into other things.

Speaker:

And so, investment.

Speaker:

Investing is then the vehicle for you to really get ahead financially if you can generate as much cash through your business and then build a portfolio of other things.

Speaker:

And over the last four years, I've invested in like probably 25 different startups and companies.

Speaker:

You're amazing, man.

Speaker:

Well done.

Speaker:

So fun.

Speaker:

What's been your favorite business to invest in?

Speaker:

All of them.

Speaker:

And I say all of them because my investing strategy has more to do with my values than to make money.

Speaker:

So it's like I call it like mission-driven money.

Speaker:

So how do you invest in a way that is in alignment with your values, where you get really freaking excited that that business is successful?

Speaker:

Because then you can naturally promote them.

Speaker:

I'm not going to get excited about investing in BP.

Speaker:

Right.

Speaker:

Yeah, because it's not a solid line, right?

Speaker:

No.

Speaker:

But I can get really excited about a sustainable jeans company.

Speaker:

Are these?

Speaker:

No, unfortunately not, but that would be cool.

Speaker:

I should have thought about this.

Speaker:

The full free promotion on the podcast, bro.

Speaker:

Okay, the podcast that we do on yours, wear your jeans.

Speaker:

That's a great idea.

Speaker:

Hashtag Outland Denim.

Speaker:

Yeah.

Speaker:

Hashtag Outland Denim.

Speaker:

Yeah, we got it.

Speaker:

Cool.

Speaker:

So you teach other people to invest in startups and that's like a process that you do?

Speaker:

Startup stocks, obviously we go to our friend Olivia for real estate.

Speaker:

But the way

Speaker:

The way I look at it and probably that's slightly different to Olivia is Olivia wants a mostly passive way to invest.

Speaker:

Yeah, totally.

Speaker:

And you can do that with stocks.

Speaker:

You can do that with share portfolios, ETFs.

Speaker:

That's absolutely fine.

Speaker:

Often, the returns on that are a little bit slower.

Speaker:

So my investing appetite is like moderate risk.

Speaker:

You're hungry.

Speaker:

Exactly, I am.

Speaker:

So I want to do this as fast as possible.

Speaker:

I want to make shitload of money.

Speaker:

I want to have a lot of fun doing it.

Speaker:

Yeah, cool.

Speaker:

So my risk tolerance is a little bit more.

Speaker:

I've made a lot of money through crypto over the years and just knowing the right people in the right space.

Speaker:

How old were you when you started doing crypto?

Speaker:

That's a very good 20.

Speaker:

20, yeah.

Speaker:

So you've been in the game for a while, man.

Speaker:

Yes.

Speaker:

You'd know the ins and outs, you'd see the market.

Speaker:

If I had kept all of... I knew the founder of Dogecoin, which was this meme coin that blew up a few years ago.

Speaker:

And had I kept all of that, I would have retired a long time ago.

Speaker:

But it was actually because he told me that it was genuinely a joke coin that I sold.

Speaker:

And so he got rid of all of his own crypto before it turned into a $40 billion market cap, which was insane.

Speaker:

He's an Australian guy.

Speaker:

And I coded with him a little app.

Speaker:

Have you heard of Pandora before?

Speaker:

The jewelry.

Speaker:

Not the jewelry company.

Speaker:

There's a pre-Spotify.

Speaker:

Of course I've heard.

Speaker:

Actually Pandora.

Speaker:

Yes.

Speaker:

I used to have Pandora actually.

Speaker:

So like the market.

Speaker:

So I helped him code the version for Pandora for SoundCloud.

Speaker:

What?

Speaker:

You are so cool.

Speaker:

So you're a coder as well.

Speaker:

Yes, but I don't actively promote that now because people ask me all sorts of random questions.

Speaker:

That's wild.

Speaker:

As in you can actually create apps and... I could, but I will design it now because that used to be my world and would spend so long designing people's websites and

Speaker:

Wow.

Speaker:

Okay.

Speaker:

So I wanted to ask you a little bit more about your journey then go into that.

Speaker:

So where and how did you start all the systems?

Speaker:

Like how did you actually get to where you're at?

Speaker:

Cause you're very successful.

Speaker:

I'm learning my friend.

Speaker:

Thank you.

Speaker:

You're so welcome.

Speaker:

Tell us about your journey.

Speaker:

What's been, you know, what's been some battles.

Speaker:

What's been some wins.

Speaker:

Yeah.

Speaker:

Um, I remember sitting in my university lectures, studying business and political science.

Speaker:

And I read a book called The Lean Startup.

Speaker:

And it was this book that profoundly changed me because I realized that I was learning about business from a lecturer who had never started one and was probably on like, what, $70,000 to $90,000 a year.

Speaker:

And so didn't have the experience, didn't have the knowledge of how to really run a multimillion dollar corporation.

Speaker:

So after reading that book, I dropped out.

Speaker:

Yep.

Speaker:

You're like, fuck this.

Speaker:

I did.

Speaker:

And I, because your, your parents send you to a prestigious school to get the education and spend the fortune.

Speaker:

Yeah.

Speaker:

Illy, we love you.

Speaker:

I, um, I genuinely did not tell my friends that I dropped out for three months.

Speaker:

Well, cause of the shame and the guilt.

Speaker:

Yeah, absolutely.

Speaker:

And so I would go and travel to the university campus to see them.

Speaker:

And they were like, Ryan, where have you been?

Speaker:

And I'd be like, I'm around.

Speaker:

I just caught them at lunch.

Speaker:

I eventually told them that I dropped out.

Speaker:

And I was doing some remote sales for a Melbourne startup.

Speaker:

And I was asking them questions.

Speaker:

It was like a small team.

Speaker:

I was asking them about coding.

Speaker:

And Nat, you would have played Neopets at some point.

Speaker:

Oh, yeah, babe.

Speaker:

Absolutely.

Speaker:

OK.

Speaker:

So I learned how to code on Neopets.

Speaker:

Whoa.

Speaker:

Back in the day.

Speaker:

I thought it was super fun.

Speaker:

Wow.

Speaker:

I never thought that you could make money.

Speaker:

Coding.

Speaker:

From coding.

Speaker:

Yeah.

Speaker:

Yeah.

Speaker:

I just, it's like a little fun thing when MySpace came along.

Speaker:

I was like, Oh yeah, I know.

Speaker:

I know this.

Speaker:

Bloody MySpace.

Speaker:

We're going back in time.

Speaker:

I love this.

Speaker:

Yeah.

Speaker:

Should make a comeback sometime.

Speaker:

And MSN Messenger.

Speaker:

Oh man.

Speaker:

What a time to be alive.

Speaker:

I used to race home from school and like get on the computer and just like talk to my friends all night.

Speaker:

Uh huh.

Speaker:

And nudge people.

Speaker:

Yeah.

Speaker:

Oh my God, I forgot about nudging.

Speaker:

Fuck, that's so good.

Speaker:

And then you'd like leave a status for your, the friend that you liked, hoping that they would message you too.

Speaker:

So that's how I got started.

Speaker:

And then I ended up moving to Sydney.

Speaker:

I learned how to code and then came back, got a job and was working for a startup in Brisbane.

Speaker:

And then I was there for seven and a half years and basically just built my business on top of full-time work.

Speaker:

Fuck yeah, well done.

Speaker:

Which was really fun.

Speaker:

What was the point where you were like, I'm leaving now?

Speaker:

What was the piece for you?

Speaker:

I wanted to leave a year earlier, but the job during COVID meant that I could get my mortgage.

Speaker:

Wow.

Speaker:

Yeah, nice.

Speaker:

Cool.

Speaker:

And then as soon as it was paid out, literally the week later, you're like, amazing.

Speaker:

But I think for me, and I'd love to hear from you what your passions are outside of your business, because what I found is that

Speaker:

especially when you can work from home a lot and just be online all the time, the social aspect of being in that role and also that the beautiful people I was around, the challenges of solving really big problems for companies gave me a different outlet that I could use outside of my business.

Speaker:

So that's in part also why I stayed longer.

Speaker:

Yeah, nice.

Speaker:

So what's your big passions in outside work?

Speaker:

I'm obsessed with human transformation.

Speaker:

Nice.

Speaker:

I love that.

Speaker:

And being with people, this is so fulfilling.

Speaker:

Oh, I love that.

Speaker:

Yeah, cool.

Speaker:

cool conversations with people that are totally aligned.

Speaker:

Yeah.

Speaker:

And also eating really good food.

Speaker:

Yeah.

Speaker:

Yum.

Speaker:

I'm a big foodie too.

Speaker:

Yeah.

Speaker:

I love playing chess.

Speaker:

That's like one of my- Do you?

Speaker:

Yeah.

Speaker:

Do you like playing chess?

Speaker:

Can we have a game?

Speaker:

Ah, yes.

Speaker:

Please.

Speaker:

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker:

I love it.

Speaker:

Okay.

Speaker:

Also- Do we have a board?

Speaker:

We do have a board here actually.

Speaker:

Okay.

Speaker:

Afterwards.

Speaker:

I fucking love chess.

Speaker:

It's like one of my favorite things to do.

Speaker:

I used to compete.

Speaker:

oh my god i've been asking universe thank you so much i've been asking you know i've been saying the universe universe bring me a friend that can actually play at an elite level okay you're the friend i've been calling i've been calling you and my oh my gosh yeah oh my god i love this and then that defeats me in like four moves

Speaker:

Now you know what, I actually like, because I've only really played with like some of my friends and I've played with my mum a couple times, played with my brother a couple times, but no one's really elite.

Speaker:

Okay, let's bring it.

Speaker:

Let's bring it.

Speaker:

Also connect for champion here too.

Speaker:

Ah, I love this for you, nice.

Speaker:

Other passions, I love going to the beach.

Speaker:

I love literally just like sitting at the beach and watching the waves.

Speaker:

I'm like, oh my god, it's so relaxing.

Speaker:

Is that a spiritual experience for you?

Speaker:

Yeah, it's just so beautiful and just calming, isn't it?

Speaker:

And for my whole life, I've never lived by the beach.

Speaker:

So actually living so close to the beach now is just such a mesmerizing experience.

Speaker:

And I'm so grateful.

Speaker:

Every single day I go to the beach, I'm like, fuck, this is amazing.

Speaker:

Fuck, I can't believe I'm here.

Speaker:

So amazing.

Speaker:

Because where were you?

Speaker:

You're Sydney-based, right?

Speaker:

Well, originally.

Speaker:

I have mostly been.

Speaker:

I mean, the dream after getting married and traveling a little bit is maybe then looking for a place here on the Gold Coast.

Speaker:

Yes.

Speaker:

Come down here.

Speaker:

Come hang out.

Speaker:

Call my friend.

Speaker:

So, tell me what has been some massive challenges that you've had to come up against in your business?

Speaker:

Honestly, the scariest thing was resigning.

Speaker:

Wow, really?

Speaker:

Probably, I would say.

Speaker:

My genuine philosophy, and I think this is also backed by my own spiritual journey, my genuine belief is that so long as we're six foot above ground,

Speaker:

everything in life has upside and the reason why purpose and mission is so important to me is that I distinctly remember it as a defining moment in my life when I was three years old, I was in Papua New Guinea and we were visiting my cousins in the bush and my cousins reached down, they sharpened a twig

Speaker:

And they cut a rubber band in half to grab a pebble to shoot the pigeons above to kill the pigeons.

Speaker:

And I was like, oh, why are they killing the pigeons?

Speaker:

Well, we go back and I realized that my auntie's house doesn't have food in it.

Speaker:

So my mom and my auntie have gone hungry so that us kids could eat.

Speaker:

Now I had no understanding of that at three years old.

Speaker:

I just thought, why is mom not eating?

Speaker:

Until I learned about poverty.

Speaker:

And that then inspired me to have different ambassador roles with different organizations and doing a lot of charity work.

Speaker:

And so for me, I'm like, I'm happy.

Speaker:

I can, I can sleep on the floor.

Speaker:

I've come, I've seen it all.

Speaker:

I've come from nothing.

Speaker:

I've, I've met, uh, child soldiers, former child soldiers and, um, former trafficked victims who had escaped.

Speaker:

I have such a deep appreciation for life.

Speaker:

Um, so yeah, for me, it's like looking and it's not toxic positivity either.

Speaker:

It's a genuine love for, yeah.

Speaker:

what is defining me in this moment is refining my character.

Speaker:

Wow.

Speaker:

I love that.

Speaker:

Thank you.

Speaker:

And so I actually want to touch back and you said it before about spirituality.

Speaker:

Tell me what has been a huge spiritual ascension for you?

Speaker:

Obviously this is Ascension Coast podcast.

Speaker:

So I love telling, asking people about their spiritual awakening, their spiritual ascension.

Speaker:

What was your peak?

Speaker:

What was your start?

Speaker:

I,

Speaker:

It's really interesting.

Speaker:

I come from a family of non-practicing Catholics, right?

Speaker:

So for me, growing up, my parents talked about an understanding of God, but they didn't do anything.

Speaker:

And I would be at the back of the room kind of like laughing a little bit and just not taking anything seriously.

Speaker:

And it wasn't until high school that I then started to ask all these different questions of understanding, being curious.

Speaker:

And I just remember praying in the bathtub.

Speaker:

I was like, okay, God, if you're real, um, love this, like show yourself.

Speaker:

And, and I remember Googling.

Speaker:

Yeah.

Speaker:

Like, and I had said this little prayer in the bathtub at 13 years old.

Speaker:

I came out of the bathtub completely different.

Speaker:

I was like, I had lost 20 kilos.

Speaker:

Wow.

Speaker:

And it has been the most powerful prayer I've ever said in my life that I use is God use me.

Speaker:

And then everything that comes after that has been very profound.

Speaker:

How do you say it?

Speaker:

And when do you say it?

Speaker:

Or do you just say it every day?

Speaker:

Like, what's your process?

Speaker:

Ryan teach me.

Speaker:

Interesting.

Speaker:

That's where I'm at now.

Speaker:

Ryan teach me.

Speaker:

God use me.

Speaker:

It's beautiful.

Speaker:

Oh, let's do it.

Speaker:

I'd love to do this after our podcast.

Speaker:

Yes.

Speaker:

So what do we do though?

Speaker:

Do we just sit?

Speaker:

Yeah, we'll just sit and then see how God shows up in the moment for sure.

Speaker:

Can we do it now?

Speaker:

We could.

Speaker:

Yes, let's do it now!

Speaker:

Okay.

Speaker:

All right, so I'll get you to put your hands in front of you.

Speaker:

Beautiful.

Speaker:

So you got it.

Speaker:

So like just receiving.

Speaker:

I love this example.

Speaker:

I'm just gonna get you to close your eyes.

Speaker:

So obviously I'm not touching that at all.

Speaker:

And we're just gonna invite the presence of God into the space, into the room.

Speaker:

Inviting the presence of God into this room.

Speaker:

I'm just going to, um, I'm going to place my hands over you.

Speaker:

So my, so my hands usually get become really, really hot when I, um, I guess.

Speaker:

When you do healing work?

Speaker:

Healing.

Speaker:

Yeah.

Speaker:

Um, that's kind of my gift.

Speaker:

Oh my god, they are so hot.

Speaker:

Wow.

Speaker:

Yeah.

Speaker:

So, uh.

Speaker:

I feel so much love engaging.

Speaker:

God.

Speaker:

I just want you to begin to move throughout Nat's entire body from the top of her head to the soles of her feet.

Speaker:

There's like a warmth over your head right now and there's heat over your shoulders, right?

Speaker:

And so it's coming down your back more.

Speaker:

More.

Speaker:

And I just wanted this flame to be stoked.

Speaker:

And just the presence and the fullness of who you are to be revealed to Nat.

Speaker:

And there's also, um, which you're probably familiar with too, is just the, the, the heat in your stomach.

Speaker:

But what is coming through for me is, um, and I'm sure lots of people have told you this, but it's this, um, this really big calling on your life.

Speaker:

I think there's a lot of humility that you walk in anyway, and you're known for your energy.

Speaker:

And just like the protection of your space and your sphere is like so important because people will want to take and you give so freely and you've probably had experiences where people have come into your life and then just like fed off your energy.

Speaker:

Totally.

Speaker:

Totally.

Speaker:

And you've given and you've given because you're not expecting to receive in return.

Speaker:

And the message coming through is like discernment around who gets to enjoy your presence and also love on you for who you are, not for what you can do for them.

Speaker:

Nice.

Speaker:

And so we just ask for more of this like

Speaker:

heat right now and just the stirring in that spirit as well the um the the fire bubbling up within you and this is like so much joy like so much joy oh my god more more just like stir that that spirit like joy is your gift

Speaker:

more from the top of Nat's head.

Speaker:

That's what I just, I just see like the fullness of like that joy.

Speaker:

Yeah, it's, there's like so much beautiful joy coursing through my body.

Speaker:

And the most important thing is like, we just, um, no, there's nothing to bottle.

Speaker:

It's like an overflow.

Speaker:

That's what I get.

Speaker:

It's like literally, yeah.

Speaker:

I love you so much.

Speaker:

I love that.

Speaker:

Thank you so much.

Speaker:

My pleasure.

Speaker:

Oh my god.

Speaker:

I love you so much.

Speaker:

I love like, man, I love that we're half of your podcast.

Speaker:

Guys, if you're not watching this on YouTube, like fucking just do yourself a favor.

Speaker:

That was wild.

Speaker:

How do you feel?

Speaker:

I feel so fucking alive.

Speaker:

You should be a healer.

Speaker:

I do that.

Speaker:

But my personal belief is I've been given the gift.

Speaker:

So for me, I just charge through other things.

Speaker:

But the reason why I travel is to do this.

Speaker:

to be with clients, to be with them in person.

Speaker:

I've seen, I've seen clients be healed in person and it's the best thing.

Speaker:

And like, so beautiful.

Speaker:

I love you so much.

Speaker:

Thank you.

Speaker:

You just get it, like, mm.

Speaker:

It's funny, right?

Speaker:

When I first got access to Light Language, I just knew that there was so much healing to be done in the world.

Speaker:

And recently I've been channeling through this Light Language modality, and I know it's going to literally shape the world.

Speaker:

The Light Language healings that I've been able to do has literally changed...

Speaker:

I've helped a guy, he had a broken foot.

Speaker:

I literally cured his broken foot.

Speaker:

Like it was fucking wild.

Speaker:

I was like, I can't believe I can do this as a healer.

Speaker:

And like, you know, normally I wouldn't talk about this because people were just like, yeah, whatever, Nat, I don't believe you.

Speaker:

But you believe it.

Speaker:

I've seen the craziest stuff.

Speaker:

I've seen a guy who injured his shoulder for five years.

Speaker:

He had been shot at.

Speaker:

And when he got love, literally on the Gold Coast here a few years ago.

Speaker:

And I felt like.

Speaker:

if we can run for this story, it's pretty cool.

Speaker:

I've been traveling, so this is a few years ago now.

Speaker:

In 2020, I was traveling and I was exhausted from being in Perth, Sydney, and then I had this event on the Gold Coast.

Speaker:

And some friends were in the house, we were at this network marketing event, had a whole bunch of the house and I was wrecked.

Speaker:

I was just flown in from Sydney, I'm tired, I'd worked the whole week.

Speaker:

And I was sitting on the deck,

Speaker:

And I knew one of the guys in the house and he actually came out to talk to me and I'm like, oh, well, I'm eating my dinner.

Speaker:

I just wanted some peace and quiet.

Speaker:

And I started to chat to him and I said, um, do you have any pain in your body?

Speaker:

Yeah.

Speaker:

He said, yeah, my shoulder.

Speaker:

I said, great.

Speaker:

Okay.

Speaker:

Well, what if that was healed right now?

Speaker:

Wow.

Speaker:

And he said, well, that, that'd be cool, but I've seen people I've been shooting and surfing, all of that.

Speaker:

He'd seen all the people.

Speaker:

And in this moment at eight o'clock at night on a Friday on the gold coast, I really felt like he got the presence of love of love for the very first time in his life.

Speaker:

Yeah.

Speaker:

And he.

Speaker:

He, without divulging too many details, it was more just that he had hurt people.

Speaker:

He was a mercenary.

Speaker:

And so he did that for a living.

Speaker:

And he did not know that he could be forgiven and understood.

Speaker:

And so this man who was so strong was bawling within about five minutes and his shoulder pain gone.

Speaker:

Yeah, of course, because the body always holds trauma, right?

Speaker:

Yeah.

Speaker:

Wow.

Speaker:

I want to thank you so deeply for sharing your stories.

Speaker:

Thank you so deeply for that.

Speaker:

I could still feel the energy coursing through my body.

Speaker:

That was intense.

Speaker:

I love it.

Speaker:

Because I'm so also I'm so energetic.

Speaker:

And I'm also a healer.

Speaker:

So it's it's reciprocated, right?

Speaker:

Totally.

Speaker:

What a cool conversation.

Speaker:

Here I was thinking we're just gonna talk about business and investment.

Speaker:

And now here we are talking about healing.

Speaker:

This is the juice.

Speaker:

Yeah, babe, because this is the essence of our mission, right?

Speaker:

Is to actually heal humanity, right?

Speaker:

Yeah.

Speaker:

It's so funny why people get into business.

Speaker:

We get into business because truly we want to fucking help people.

Speaker:

Like we want to serve humanity.

Speaker:

And healing, I think, is healing the whole person.

Speaker:

Yeah.

Speaker:

It's not just financially.

Speaker:

It's not just physically.

Speaker:

It's not about having your physical body.

Speaker:

Yeah.

Speaker:

You have a physical body and then be spiritually empty.

Speaker:

Yes.

Speaker:

So healing is like the holistic approach.

Speaker:

Yeah.

Speaker:

Well, thank you so much for having me.

Speaker:

Thank you so much for coming on.

Speaker:
