Speaker B:Welcome to the Transformational Teacher Podcast.
Speaker B:I am your host detoya and thank.
Speaker C:You for being here.
Speaker B:On this podcast I will talk about faith, mindset and the importance of self care.
Speaker B:I believe God desires for us to flourish in our relationship with Him.
Speaker B:It plays such a vital role in transforming our lives.
Speaker B:In turn, it will help us to transform our classroom his way.
Speaker B:When we teach with Jesus and see things from his viewpoint, guess what?
Speaker B:Those anxieties and classroom challenges that try to trip us up will no longer have the power to do that because God will help us.
Speaker B:He will give us the strength, wisdom, patience and whatever else we need to rise up and teach with joy and peace.
Speaker B:Hey Transformational Teacher, thank you for going.
Speaker C:Forth and making an impact on another group of students this year.
Speaker C:As you journey throughout your year, I want to encourage you to trust God every step of the way, regardless of what it looks like.
Speaker C:Make sure you trust God as you trust him and lean unto his understanding.
Speaker B:As it says in Proverbs chapter 3.
Speaker C:Verses 5 through 6.
Speaker C:He will then guide you along the best pathway for your life and I believe that includes your school year.
Speaker C:So make sure you invite him in.
Speaker C:Make sure you trust him daily to lead and guide you.
Speaker C:So even on those challenging days, remember God is still faithful and he desires to help you.
Speaker C:You have to let him in in order to help you.
Speaker C:Well, let's get into today's episode.
Speaker C:We are going to talk about six things to do prior to the start of your school day.
Speaker B:Taking time out to do these things.
Speaker C:Will help you be battle ready for the day ahead of you.
Speaker C:So regardless of what the enemy throws your way, you will overcome it because God is there helping you and you.
Speaker B:Have prepared yourself for the day.
Speaker C:So Number one, put on the armor of God daily.
Speaker C:And that is found In Ephesians, chapter 6, verses 10 through 18.
Speaker C:And I want to read the amplified version to you because I want you to hear this in your ears and it says in conclusion, be strong in the Lord, draw your strength from him, and be empowered through your union with him and in the power of his boundless might.
Speaker C:Might put on the full armor of God, for His precepts are like the splendid armor of a heavenly armed soldier, so that you may be able to successfully stand up against all the schemes and the strategies and the deceits of the devil.
Speaker C:For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, contending only with physical opponents, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this present darkness, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly supernatural places.
Speaker C:Therefore, put on the complete armor of God so that you will be able to successfully resist and stand your ground in the evil day of danger and having done everything that the crisis demands to stand firm in your place, fully prepared, immovable, victorious.
Speaker C:So stand firm, firm and hold your ground.
Speaker C:Having tightened the wide band of truth, personal integrity, moral courage around your waist, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness and upright hearts, and having strapped on your feet the gospel of peace in preparation to face the enemy with firm footed stability and the readiness produced by the good news.
Speaker C:Above all, lift up the protective shield of of faith with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one and take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God with all prayer and petition.
Speaker C:Pray with pacific requests at all times, on every occasion, in every season in the Spirit and with this in view.
Speaker C:Stay alert with all perseverance and petition interceding in prayer for for all God's people.
Speaker C:So make sure you are putting on the armor of God daily.
Speaker C:Suit up so you can be battle ready for whatever comes your way.
Speaker C:Well, let's go to number two.
Speaker C:Number two is meditate on God's Word.
Speaker D:Let's look at Joshua chapter one, verse.
Speaker C:Eight and again I'm going to read this from the amplified version.
Speaker C:It says this book of the law.
Speaker D:Shall not depart from your mouth, but.
Speaker C:You shall read and meditate on it.
Speaker D:Day and night so that you may be careful to do everything in accordance with all that is written in it.
Speaker D:For then you will make your way.
Speaker C:Prosperous and then you will be successful.
Speaker D:So make sure you are meditating on God's word.
Speaker D:Find a scripture or a few scriptures that you are going to stand on this year pertaining to your classroom.
Speaker D:Meditate on those scriptures.
Speaker D:One scripture that I'm meditating on is Psalms 32, verse 8:8 and it says I'm going to personalize it.
Speaker D:Detoia.
Speaker D:God will instruct and teach you in the way you should go.
Speaker D:He will counsel you with his loving eye.
Speaker D:So that is one scripture I'm meditating on.
Speaker D:I'm standing on.
Speaker D:And I am believing that God is going to do this throughout this school year.
Speaker C:Well, let's move on to number three.
Speaker C:Pray for yourself, students, families and co workers.
Speaker C:When you are praying, you are giving God legal right to interfere in earth's affairs.
Speaker C:Let's make it specific.
Speaker C:You are giving God the opportunity to have his way in your classroom.
Speaker C:When you are praying, allow the Holy Spirit to pray through you.
Speaker C:Ask God God, what is it that I need to pray specifically this year for myself, my students, their families and co workers?
Speaker C:Follow the Holy Spirit's leading.
Speaker C:Number four, have time set aside for praise and worship.
Speaker C:It will help you enter into God's presence.
Speaker C:And in his presence is the fullness of joy.
Speaker C:And I believe we can navigate through our school day better when we are filled with God's strength and joy and our praise.
Speaker C:It silences the enemy and it activates God.
Speaker C:God's power.
Speaker C:How great is that?
Speaker C:And also as we worship God, we are glorifying him and we are thanking God for what he has done for us, for who he is to us.
Speaker C:So we want to just make sure.
Speaker B:We take that time out to praise.
Speaker C:Him, to worship him and find you a song that you can stand on this year.
Speaker C:One song that I am standing on is Breathe on Me.
Speaker C:I believe that's the name of it.
Speaker C:It's by Eddie James, but I play it almost every morning and it just urges me into God's presence because I want his fire to fall fresh on me, fresh in my classroom.
Speaker B:So make sure you take time out.
Speaker C:To praise and have worship time.
Speaker C:Number five, Anoint yourself.
Speaker C:Anoint your the chairs in the classroom and the different areas in the classroom.
Speaker C:When you use anointing oil, you are using it as a tool against the evil one that is trying to run rampant in your classroom.
Speaker C:In your life, you are giving the Holy Spirit opportunity to intervene.
Speaker C:Let's go on to number six.
Speaker C:Ask God for the natural and spiritual steps that you need to take daily pertaining to your classroom.
Speaker C:So I want you all to make.
Speaker B:Sure you take the time out to.
Speaker C:Spend time with God daily.
Speaker C:Let's keep in mind that we help to set the tone of our classrooms so we have to make sure we fill our spiritual tank up daily so we can then pour into our students.
Speaker B:And teaching is not always the easiest thing to do.
Speaker C:You may face some challenges, but if you prepare for the day, you suit up with the armor and you take.
Speaker B:Time in God's presence, spend time with.
Speaker C:Him, I believe you will be able to navigate through it better, your day better and you will gain a lesson.
Speaker B:Or sometimes you might gain more than.
Speaker C:One lesson along the way.
Speaker C:Well, let's wrap this up and I want to give you your action step for today.
Speaker C:I encourage you to find some scripture promises to stand on for yourself, your students, their families and your co workers.
Speaker C:Once you do that, I encourage you to pray those scriptures weekly and I would love for you to share those scriptures with me.
Speaker C:You can Join my Facebook group if you go to teachingwithjesus.com and you can join us inside the Facebook group.
Speaker B:And I would love to know, what.
Speaker C:Scriptures are you standing on this school year?
Speaker C:What scriptures are you praying throughout your school year?
Speaker C:Well, I hope that you all have a wonderful day.
Speaker C:But before we go, let's pray.
Speaker C:Well, Heavenly Father, we thank you right now.
Speaker C:We thank you, Lord, just for who you are.
Speaker C:We thank you, Lord, for loving us the way that you love us.
Speaker C:We thank you, Lord God, for this school year, Lord.
Speaker D:We ask, oh God, that you intervene.
Speaker C:Lord God, in this school year.
Speaker D:We ask, Lord God, for your wisdom, Lord God, for this school year.
Speaker D:For it says in your word that.
Speaker C:We can ask you for wisdom and.
Speaker D:You will give it unto us without.
Speaker C:Finding any fault in us.
Speaker D:So, God, we ask for your wisdom.
Speaker D:And we thank you, Lord God, for giving us creative ideas, insights and concepts, Lord God, on what we need to.
Speaker C:Do to make this year the year.
Speaker D:That you have called fourth, Lord God.
Speaker C:For it to be, Lord we thank.
Speaker D:You, Lord God, for giving us those practical and spiritual steps that we need to take.
Speaker C:And as you give them to us.
Speaker D:I pray, Lord God, that we are.
Speaker C:Obedient and we do just that.
Speaker D:I thank you, Lord God, that we.
Speaker C:Have the mind of Christ.
Speaker D:So I thank you, Lord God, that we are catching on to the curriculum, Lord God, that we are using, we are able to teach it effectively.
Speaker D:I thank you our students, they're coming to school eager and ready to learn.
Speaker D:I think that we're going to school.
Speaker D:We're going to school ready to teach.
Speaker D:We are eager, Lord God, at teaching.
Speaker D:I think that we will not grow weary, Lord God, throughout this school year.
Speaker D:We thank you, Lord God, for infusing us with your inner strength, Lord God, as we navigate throughout this school year.
Speaker D:We thank you, Lord God, that we will fully put our trust, Lord God, in you.
Speaker D:And as we put our trust in you, we lean not to our own understanding, but we.
Speaker D:We acknowledge you.
Speaker D:We thank you that you will guide and direct us down the right pathway.
Speaker D:And we thank you, Lord God, we will not get off that pathway that you have set forth for us.
Speaker D:We will not compare ourselves to others, but we will stay in the lane that you have set forth for us.
Speaker D:And we just thank you, Lord God, for all that you are going to do in and through us on this year.
Speaker D:We will keep our eyes looking up to you, Lord God.
Speaker D:We look to the hills where our help comes from.
Speaker D:And we thank you, Lord God, that you are always there by our side.
Speaker D:We thank you that you will never leave us, you will never forsake us.
Speaker D:We thank you God for who you are and we give you all the honor and the glory.
