- It was difficult for him to move forward, but God answered his prayers.

- Southwest Training Systems is his core business, and they provide materials for public school cafeteria environments.
- It took an estimated 3–5 years to build the company. As if it was God’s plan, business suddenly boomed at the end of their fourth year of operation.
- All of his speaking and writing experience evolved from his experience in the school nutrition niche.
- There is power in writing something on paper, which is why he keeps a daily journal.
Challenges in Business
- The obvious challenge in starting any business is money.
- You have to be creative in how you acquire and spend money.
- Budgeting is also essential.
- He feels he performs better under pressure instead of a calm environment. Unfortunately, this resulted in self-sabotage.

- He prayed a lot and woke up early every day to read the Bible or something inspirational.
- Meditation helped him gain peace and overcome the challenges in his life.
- Reduce the noise in your mind.
- God does not compete with the noise of the world. You can only listen to His voice when you are quiet.

- Look at everyone you come in contact with, no matter who they are. as if they have a sign around their neck that says, “Treat me as if I'm important.”

Attitude Toward Changing for the Better
- Learning is a decision, and communication is a skill you can develop. Unlearn the mindset that you cannot change and everyone else is the problem except you.
- What are your happiness and peace worth?
- You cannot control your circumstances and situations, but you can control how you react to them. E + R = O. Events plus your Reaction equals Outcome.
- Think before you say something to improve situations.
- We have things inside of us that came from God for us to give to other people, and it’s our job to ask his guidance.
