The U.S. Navy had already detected the implosion of the Titanic-bound submersible Titan on Sunday, according to the U.S. Coast Guard. That was days before news of the implosion was made public on June 22. The Navy quickly provided this information to aid the search and rescue efforts, although its significance was unknown at the time. The Coast Guard announced on June 22 that no one had survived the Titan's deepwater expedition. Meanwhile, James Cameron, director of the movie 'Titanic' and a deep-sea explorer, said he was skeptical about the make-up of the submersible's hull.

Patients at a drug center in Philadelphia are developing terrible wounds. The gashes come from a powerful animal sedative called xylazine or "Tranq," which is often mixed with the synthetic opioid fentanyl by drug abusers.

India is presenting itself as a preferred partner for the United States as it seeks to compete with China on a global scale. That was the message Prime Minister Narendra Modi conveyed in his address to a joint session of Congress on June 22.
