God-Given Talents – Daily Wisdom

Welcome to Wisdom-Trek with Gramps. We are on Day 1869 of our trek, and it’s time to explore another nugget of wisdom, which includes an inspirational quote along with some wise words from Gramps for today’s trek. Wisdom is the final frontier in gaining true knowledge. So we are on a daily trek to create a legacy of wisdom, seek out discernment and insights, and boldly grow where few have chosen to grow before. Hello, my friend; this is Gramps. Thanks for coming along on today’s trek as we increase wisdom and create a living legacy. Proverbs 16:16 says, "How much better to get wisdom than gold, and sound judgment than silver!" If you apply the words you hear today, over time, it will help you become more healthy, wealthy, and wise as you continue your daily trek of life. So let’s jump right in with today’s nugget. Today’s quote is from Larry Bird, and it is, “A winner is someone who recognizes his God-given talents, works his tail off to develop them into skills, and uses these skills to accomplish his goals.”

God-Given Talents

We all have the potential to be winners to the highest degree, as long as we understand that being a winner for one person may be entirely different for another. This is because we are created imagers of the one and only Holy God. He has created each of us with unique talents and abilities that only we can fulfill. The key is to recognize your God-given talents and abilities and then dedicate yourself by working as hard as possible to put them into practice. I realize that those talents and abilities given to us may not be fully developed, and it is our responsibility to hone them into valuable skills for building God’s kingdom. As a citizen of God’s kingdom, the ultimate goal is to perfect our God-given talents and abilities to further His work and bring honor and glory to His name. This will require hard work and perseverance, but we can accomplish it.  So, every day, be about the job you are called to do. Ephesians 2:10 For we are God’s masterpiece.  He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago. As you ponder this nugget of wisdom for yourself, please encourage your friends and family to join us and then come along tomorrow for another day of our Wisdom-Trek, Creating a Legacy.
