In honor of International Women's Day, I pay tribute to all the women who have stepped up to share their perspective and trials through film with a review of the iconic Blaxploitation film Foxy Brown starring the legendary Pam Grier. After briefly making the argument that Pam Grier is the first woman action hero, I walk through the major plot points of the film while showing how this movie has impacted the work of Tarintino and films like Promising Young Woman.
