Summary

This episode centers on the call to fully trust Christ within and enter into a place of rest, where believers stop striving and begin relying on the Spirit of God in them. Through testing and difficult situations, God is proving and deepening that trust, teaching believers to surrender control and recognize His sovereignty in every circumstance. The conversation also reveals that this walk is not meant to be lived alone. The Body of Christ functions as a living organism, where members support one another through trials. True oneness is not something manufactured by human effort—it is a spiritual reality imparted by God, unfolding within His people as they yield to Him. Ultimately, the message emphasizes that transformation, unity, and guidance come from Christ within, not from human reasoning or effort, leading believers into a deeper experience of oneness with God and each other.

Takeaway

True spiritual maturity comes when we stop striving and fully trust Christ within us, allowing Him to lead, speak, and act through our lives. This trust is proven through testing, strengthened in surrender, and expressed through a living connection with the Body of Christ. As we yield to the Spirit, oneness with God and one another naturally unfolds—not by effort, but by His life within us.

Transcripts

Ron:

Welcome to Live Behind the Veil, where we pursue the reality of God's presence and the life that comes from walking with him. In today's episode, we're stepping into a deeper understanding of what it means to trust Christ within What does it look like to stop striving, to let go of second guessing and to fully rest in the Lord who is already at work inside of us.

As God brings us through testing and pressure, he's revealing whether our trust is truly in him or still in ourselves, but in the middle of all of it. There is an invitation to be still to listen and to allow Christ in us to lead. We also explore how this walk was never meant to be lived alone, but as part of a living body joined together in him growing into a real oneness that only God can create.

Ken:

God is really putting us to the test. We're in the days where trust is so important to God. It's like the final exams that the kids take in school. All the things we've gone through. We must be dedicated to the end result of what God is bringing forth in us. These are the things that God is instituted to bring us forth and to make us whole

Ron:

Be still and let God be God to me, what that says is be still and trust that what you're going through, God totally is aware of it and His hands on it.

Know that He's your God, that he's in your life a hundred percent. When are you gonna trust Christ in you?

When are you gonna really throw all your weight and know that the Christ in you knows exactly what to do, what not to do, what to say, and quit second guessing yourself and just trust there's a rest.

There's a putting your whole weight in Christ in you, not outside of you. So you're not second guessing. You're not wondering anymore, am I saying the right thing? Am I doing the right thing? Yeah, you are because you're trusting Christ in you.

Debbie:

I think the Lord's really testing us on these things. He is really take taking us at our word and He's testing us.

He is testing to see, do you really, you really do trust me, even when you can't stand. Do you still trust that I know what's going on and I am in control that trust Him with my life, really believe that he is Lord over my life and he is the one in control

Ken:

At the same time. There'll come times when you can't deal with it.

You're in a place where you can't see out of the, you can't see out of the. Of the box, you're set in a box and you can't get out of it.

There's something about the body function that we have to realize. There will come times when you can't deal with it by yourself,

Debbie:

And you're not supposed to.

Ken:

And you're not supposed to, and this is a body function.

Ron:

How does the body function when a member suffers? How does the body actually function?

Ken:

We all suffer,

Ron:

Right! God looking at his family, going, well, let's just see here how the body is gonna function if this happens. The body is truly a body, it's an organism.

It's not a. It's not an organization. It's a true organism, and that organism is connected to the head, and the head operates the body of Christ. We are a corporate body and organism of Christ. It's a whole new level of spirit in our minds have to be transformed in this.

Ed:

We have to bring our brother with us.

But only as the Lord's going to allow us, because our brother's going through something completely different than we are, but it is only gonna be by the grace of God as He brings us forth. He wants a body.

Ken:

Jesus stood in John 17 talking to his father, saying, Father, you and I are one. You have held these people that have joined with me and you've protected them, and I ask you to take charge over their lives and protect them, Lord, cover them, keep them from the evil one.

And then He said something that was so significant because I pray that they will be one as You and I. Are one, we're talking about oneness and spirit. And spirit is so far different from anything that is, it has to do with the human flesh. It's just not the same. We're to submit ourselves to one another in the fear of God.

So when we submit ourselves to the Lord and oneness to each other, we're saying, Lord, you speak through the ministry of the family because of our oneness and spirit. Oneness is a spiritual connection that we have first with the Father and then with each other.

Ron:

Where did that oneness come from? Was that something that we just agreed together or we worked it up, or we reached in and our dedication?

No, it had nothing to do with us at all. It had to do with the living word that was spoken and created within a people, and honestly. It was a complete impartation from the Lord through a living word to a people, and it created this oneness, and it's just a oneness of spirit. Honestly, what I think is happening is we're starting to see it unfold.

And our thinking's changing, not because we're trying to change our thinking. But because it's just an unfolding. Thing happening in our being because what's happened already in our spirit, it's already a done deal. It's gonna happen no matter what, but there's something of oneness in our spirit that's starting to unfold, and it's just as much a surprise to us that is anybody else.

Honestly, we're discovering what was imparted to us by a living word. Be quiet, be still. Let the Lord in you be the Lord and let it unfold in you. You are not gonna figure this out or work it up in dedication or commitment. It's beyond that. It's Christ in you and it's not something that's. You are going to produce, and I think that's why there's some certain keys here waiting on the Lord, what is waiting?

The Lord's Prayer of listening.

Ken:

His presence.

Ron:

His presence. It's a realm of spirit that's been imparted to us.

Mike:

God has brought us into this oneness. That which is spirit is spirit. That which is flesh is flesh and you gotta keep the two separate and the spirit. Thank God for the spirit. 'cause it separates like the marrow from the bone, the soul, from the spirit.

So we can see where we're off course or on course because we have the spirit there to lead and guide us.

Ron:

As you've heard today, this walk with the Lord is not about striving harder or figuring everything out. It's about learning to trust Christ within you. In the middle of testing, uncertainty and even weakness, God is drawing us into a deeper rest where we rely on his life, his wisdom and his presence in us as we yield to him.

Something powerful begins to unfold a true oneness. Not only with him, but with one another as his body. So take time to be still, to listen and to let the Lord in you. Be the Lord. Thanks for joining us on Live Behind the Veil.
