The AFL Grand final is over & despite Steve's blissful dreaming, his mighty Hawthorn Hawks have been beaten by the Sydney Swans. Despite his immense sadness, the boys decide to continue with the news:

  • As Air New Zealand starts buying back 3% of its listed shares, a number of key executives are resigning as Rob Fyfe prepares to hand over the reins to a new CEO
  • Airbus announce that repairing the cracks in rib-skin fasteners on A380 wings will require an aircraft to be grounded for 6-8 weeks and are recommending that airlines combine this work with other maintenance)
  • Qantas' domestic market share has fallen below 60%, well below the 65% that Joyce claimed they would maintain as recently as two months ago
  • RAAF Base Richmond in Sydney may be opened up to domestic traffic to help offload congestion at Sydney International Airport
  • RAAF 37 Squadron based at Richmond are phasing out their C130Hs to focus solely on their C130Js & they're having a farewell on November 24th
