This podcast episode features Dr. David Spoon discussing the importance of having faith in the Lord as we prepare to thrive in 2025. He emphasizes that true faith is not rooted in ourselves but in God, who listens intently to our prayers. Dr. Spoon warns against the dangers of compromising biblical principles to gain acceptance from the world, highlighting that such actions dilute the essence of faith and can lead to spiritual peril. Through a deep dive into Scripture, he encourages listeners to remain steadfast in their beliefs and to expect great things from God. The episode intertwines humor and personal reflection, creating a relatable atmosphere while challenging listeners to strengthen their relationship with the Lord.
David Spoon opens the show with a jovial and energetic introduction, inviting listeners into a lively discussion centered around faith, humor, and the challenges of being a Christian in the modern world. He emphasizes the importance of having faith in the Lord as we approach the year 2025, encouraging listeners to engage with him through calls and texts. Throughout the episode, Spoon intermingles his reflections on scripture with lighthearted banter, making profound theological concepts accessible and relatable. He discusses the nature of prayer, citing First Peter chapter three, where he highlights that God is always listening to the prayers of the righteous, assuring listeners that their voices matter to God. This assurance sets the tone for a discussion on how faith and prayer can influence one’s life, especially in uncertain times.
As the show progresses, Spoon delves deeper into the theme of compromise within the church, referencing the church at Pergamos from Revelation. He candidly critiques denominations that have strayed from biblical principles in favor of worldly acceptance, stressing that true love for the world does not come from placating it. Instead, he argues that Christians must hold firm to their beliefs, even when faced with opposition. His passionate call to action is underscored by references to scripture, as he urges believers to repent and return to the core tenets of their faith. Spoon’s dynamic delivery combines serious reflection with humor, making his exhortations feel both urgent and encouraging.
The episode culminates in a rich exploration of the personal relationship believers have with Jesus. Spoon introduces the concept of receiving a “white stone” with a new name, a metaphor for the unique and personal connection each believer has with Christ. He emphasizes that this relationship is not only about communal beliefs but also about individual understanding and connection to God. By the end of the show, listeners are left with a sense of empowerment and hope, encouraged to embrace their faith actively and share their testimonies of God’s work in their lives. David Spoon’s engaging style and heartfelt message resonate throughout the episode, making it a compelling listening experience for anyone seeking to strengthen their faith journey.

David Spoon: aith in the Lord to thrive in: David Spoon:Are you expecting, are you being an expectant believer?
David Spoon:Are you anticipating God doing marvelous things?
David Spoon:Are you looking for the Lord to do marvelous things?
David Spoon:I was talking to my wife this morning and I just shared this one little devotional piece out of First Peter, chapter three where it says that the Lord inclines his ear to the righteous.
David Spoon:Do you Know what that means?
David Spoon:That means that he tilts his ear down when you're praying.
David Spoon:God's not running in a different room and hiding, or God's not trying to do mystery thing.
David Spoon:He's leaning down and listening to you.
David Spoon:Do you have faith for that?
David Spoon:But David says, for the righteous, your righteousness is through Jesus Christ.
David Spoon:Problem solved.
David Spoon:And the Lord inclines unto the prayer of the righteous.
David Spoon:Wow.
David Spoon:So do you have it?
David Spoon:Are you believing for it?
David Spoon:Are you operating in faith?
David Spoon:Or is it just the same old, I'll throw up a prayer and just hope something works?
David Spoon:Here's the thing.
David Spoon:I want to make sure you understand.
David Spoon:If you want to reach out to us by phone, if you want to reach out to us by text, if you want to reach out to us by email, it can be for the purpose of sharing a praise report or a testimony, something that the Lord is doing in your life, working in your life, and you're just really blessed by it, or you're really challenged in it, but you want to share it.
David Spoon:It's all connected.
David Spoon:Share it.
David Spoon:You have that opportunity in this format to do that.
David Spoon:Maybe you've got a prayer request.
David Spoon:We're goofy.
David Spoon:We do believe this.
David Spoon:God answers prayers.
David Spoon:If he doesn't answer prayers, you're not saved.
David Spoon:Okay, we'll just leave it there.
David Spoon:Get it?
David Spoon:He answers prayers and prayers change lives and universes and sometimes the prayer changes the universe for everybody's life.
David Spoon:So here it is in a nutshell.
David Spoon:If you need prayer, let's pray.
David Spoon:Let's bring it to the Lord.
David Spoon:Let's petition.
David Spoon:If you've got something you want to share, something that's on your heart and mind, that's awesome.
David Spoon:We want you to share that because it's awesome.
David Spoon:Get that?
David Spoon:Awesome.
David Spoon:That's a little bit twanging.
David Spoon:Awesome, right?
David Spoon:When you share things the Lord has blessed you with, you just bless other people in it.
David Spoon:So we got all that rolling on.
David Spoon:We're going to be getting into the teaching.
David Spoon:I got to talk to you about that in a second.
David Spoon:But before we do, a reminder that there is a schedule change for this show.
David Spoon:Now.
David Spoon:This is the fourth week in a row that we've had schedule changes.
David Spoon:It's like amazing.
David Spoon:We've never gone through this before and we are two months away from six years on this station.
David Spoon:We're two months and two days away from six years on this station.
David Spoon:We've never had so many schedule changes in a four week period since we've been doing this.
David Spoon:But my wonderful, phenomenal, absolutely fantastic wife, best friend, of all her family has come in.
David Spoon:They have landed already.
David Spoon:Some were picked up at the airport.
David Spoon:Some have arrived and are taking a car in.
David Spoon:Other family's coming in tomorrow, so we're having family time tomorrow.
David Spoon:So this one's for the wife and for the family and should be just a great blessing.
David Spoon:And if not, then I will phone in on Monday from Aruba.
David Spoon:Okay, we'll just leave it that simple.
David Spoon:Bottom line, though, is tomorrow will be a great replay.
David Spoon:If you listen to the replay we did last week because of the weather, they were some good replays, and I just think they'll be a blessing for you.
David Spoon:So we encourage you in that we're gonna be praying for people in a little bit.
David Spoon:My brother's had a little bit of physical injury, so we're gonna pray for him.
David Spoon:Plus, a friend of ours had somebody that had something pretty drastic happen to their family.
David Spoon:We'll talk about that in a little while.
David Spoon:Before we get into any of that, I just want to make sure you understand that this show is about all of us getting closer to the Lord, Strengthening one another, blessing one another, carrying one another's burdens, laughing with each other and crying with each other.
David Spoon:Because when we do that, we fulfill the law of Christ.
David Spoon:Galatians, chapter 6, verse 2, carry one another's burdens and so fulfill the law of Christ.
David Spoon:And the Bible says, do good to all men, especially them of the household of God.
David Spoon: another, According to Hebrews: David Spoon:So I just want to make sure you are on board with that as we get moving into this.
David Spoon:And the reason that I brought that up and I'm laying a little bit of foundation is because we're going to have a little bit of challenge in today's initial teaching.
David Spoon:It won't be political, but there will be a political component to it.
David Spoon:So I have warned you and forewarned you and appreciate your love and patience.
David Spoon:And if you don't like me, I don't blame you.
David Spoon:But you have to love me because the Lord says so.
David Spoon:Okay.
David Spoon:All right, there we go.
David Spoon:We're going to pick it up.
David Spoon:So two weeks ago, by the way, two weeks ago, we did this teaching in Revelation 6 or chapter 2, verses 16, 18.
David Spoon:And I kind of shot through it because it was the new year.
David Spoon:The last time we were on a Thursday, it was the 2nd of January.
David Spoon:So I kind of just burned through it.
David Spoon:Because I was talking about the newness and having this attitude of ready to receive and sharing that word that the Lord had given me about, you know, get ready to receive.
David Spoon:There's some.
David Spoon:There's something in the expectancy of faith.
David Spoon:There's definitely a key component between us and the Lord when we have a greater level of expectancy, a greater level of faith, and things happen through the vehicle of faith.
David Spoon:God has chosen faith as his vehicle to operate with us.
David Spoon:And it's pretty clear without faith, Hebrews 11:6, it is impossible to please God.
David Spoon:For those who come to God must believe that he is and a rewarder of those who seek him.
David Spoon:Little plug on the book.
David Spoon:The faith that Pleases God is on the website.
David Spoon:If you can't afford it, tell us, we'll buy it for you, send it to you free, period.
David Spoon:The reason is because faith gets things happening, right?
David Spoon:So we talked about that about two weeks ago.
David Spoon:Last week snowed in.
David Spoon:This week, we're picking it back up.
David Spoon:And I want to step back into this discussion we had in Revelation, chapter 2, verse 16, which has to do with the church at Pergamos, because I didn't key in on a couple points that I really wanted to, and I feel like in my heart it was left undone.
David Spoon:So I'm just not comfortable with that and I want to go back to it.
David Spoon:So here, picking up at verse 15, it says this.
David Spoon:This is Jesus talking to the church at Pergamos.
David Spoon:He says this.
David Spoon:And you also have those who hold to the doctrine of the nicolations, which I hate, repent, or else I will come to you quickly and will fight against them with the sword of my mouth.
David Spoon:He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches and their church.
David Spoon:And the problem in this is that the Pergamos church is known as the compromising church.
David Spoon:That's its reputation, which is not a good reputation to have as a Christian, or as Christians, plural, to be compromising.
David Spoon:And so what I wanna really emphasize, and I went through this in some of my masters when I was doing my master's degree, that went through some of this in the school.
David Spoon:So in this church, being in this compromising position, this is a dangerous place for any fellowship to be, let alone for a denomination.
David Spoon:And if we're going to be somewhat honest, and honesty is a good thing, there are denominations right now in the United States that have started off brilliantly in the kingdom of God and then have compromised their biblical principles in order to be accommodating to the world.
David Spoon:I want you to hear what I just said.
David Spoon:There are denominations right now.
David Spoon:There are churches right now.
David Spoon:There are Christians right now in the United States, our country, that have compromised their biblical principles in order to be accommodating to the world.
David Spoon:The enemy.
David Spoon:Can I say that again?
David Spoon:And as loud as I can scream it from the mountaintops.
David Spoon:The enemy has convinced them that by placating the world, they're loving the world.
David Spoon:Did you get that?
David Spoon:That by placating and just being.
David Spoon:Oh, it's okay.
David Spoon:Whatever.
David Spoon:That's fine.
David Spoon:No problem.
David Spoon:They're loving the world by placating the world.
David Spoon:That is a lie from Satan, who is the father of lies.
David Spoon:You don't placate the world so that the world will like you, so that you can all just get along.
David Spoon:Can't we all just get along?
David Spoon:No, we can't.
David Spoon:Because we are living for Jesus, the king, and this planet is not our place.
David Spoon:We are visitors.
David Spoon:We are foreigners, we are aliens.
David Spoon:We are strangers, and we don't compromise the truth in order for people to pat us on the back and say, I like your religion.
David Spoon:Who cares whether they like your religion or not?
David Spoon:And besides, I don't like religion anyway.
David Spoon:It's the relationship with the living God made possible through the redeeming work of Jesus Christ and the empowerment of the Holy Spirit to walk in a way that.
David Spoon:That pleases God.
David Spoon:So let's just set the record straight.
David Spoon:Any denomination, any church, any Christian that placates the world so that they are loved by the world and appreciated by the world is living a lie, period.
David Spoon:You're thinking, wow, that's really forceful.
David Spoon:Thus saith the Lord.
David Spoon:That's not me.
David Spoon:I didn't write the book.
David Spoon:I can just read it.
David Spoon:And what's taking place is people just wanting to get along.
David Spoon:And I'm in a master's class and somebody was like, no, no.
David Spoon:You've got to be so appealing to the world.
David Spoon:You got to make it so appealing that they don't feel like they have to do anything different.
David Spoon:You know, that is exactly a.
David Spoon:Can you believe they even let that be spoken in a seminary?
David Spoon:It's incredible.
David Spoon:Here's the reality check.
David Spoon:The reality check is when.
David Spoon:When John the Baptist came, his first message was repent.
David Spoon:When Jesus started his ministry in Matthew 4, his first message was repent.
David Spoon:When Peter preached the message in Acts 2, his first message was repent.
David Spoon:When Paul started preaching, in the beginning of his preaching, his first message was repent.
David Spoon:You think maybe there's a pattern there?
David Spoon:When Jesus had people confronted, he would say, hey, I remember the woman who was caught in adultery.
David Spoon:Well, generally, he wasn't going to.
David Spoon:Nobody's casting stones.
David Spoon:Not a problem.
David Spoon:What did Jesus say?
David Spoon:Your sins are forgiven.
David Spoon:Go and sin no more.
David Spoon:That was the rest of the message that nobody seems to want to pick up on.
David Spoon:And you're thinking, well, why are you getting in on this?
David Spoon:Why are you jumping on this?
David Spoon:Because I have a concern with a lot of Christians right now as we are heading into the newer political season.
David Spoon:And you're thinking, oh, I thought we weren't going to do politics.
David Spoon:We're not.
David Spoon:I want to stay focused on the kingdom.
David Spoon:This is what the Bible says in Psalm 146 3.
David Spoon:Put not your trust in princes, nor in men in whom there's no help.
David Spoon:This verse suggests that people should not trust in humans, including powerful people, because they're mortal and they cannot see.
David Spoon:Instead, people should trust in God.
David Spoon:And I want to make sure you understand what I'm trying to say by this.
David Spoon:When you trust in God, it's not that you're not praying for the leadership.
David Spoon:You should be praying for the leadership.
David Spoon:And too many Christians shame if they don't like the leadership.
David Spoon:They pray that God would open up the ground and swallow them whole.
David Spoon:That's not how you're supposed to do that.
David Spoon:I mean, that's just dumb.
David Spoon:You pray that the leaders are influenced by God, can be led by God and directed by God, but your trust is in God.
David Spoon:Psalm 118, 8, 9.
David Spoon:It's better to trust in the Lord than to put your confidence in men.
David Spoon:It's better to trust in the Lord than put your confidence in princes.
David Spoon:Wow, Dave, that sounds a lot like Psalm 146.
David Spoon:3.
David Spoon:It sure does, doesn't it?
David Spoon:And then Jeremiah 17:5.
David Spoon:This one's bad, so you better get ready.
David Spoon:Cursed is the man who trusts in man and makes flesh his strength, whose heart turns away from the Lord.
David Spoon:I am all for our government, our structures, our leaders going in the right direction.
David Spoon:But you and I must keep our focus on the Lord.
David Spoon:No human being in this realm here is going to save you.
David Spoon:Jesus is the Savior.
David Spoon:That's where we keep our focus.
David Spoon:That's where we keep our vision.
David Spoon:And just in case you're wondering, thinking even in the back of your mind, oh, all the Democrats and all the Republicans and all the Independents, they're all going to get along now.
David Spoon:No, they're not.
David Spoon:I'm just going to tell you right.
David Spoon:No, they're not.
David Spoon:Okay.
David Spoon:This is not the millennium.
David Spoon:Okay.
David Spoon:Just kind of letting you know.
David Spoon:Okay.
David Spoon:And watch out for the media, which I've been warning about for 45 years.
David Spoon:Long time.
David Spoon:The media is no longer.
David Spoon:They're no longer journalists.
David Spoon:They don't write the journal of the news.
David Spoon:They try to create the narrative.
David Spoon:They're propagandists.
David Spoon:And if people don't like it, it's tough.
David Spoon:That's what they do.
David Spoon:That's how they make money.
David Spoon:That's how stock is earned in their company.
David Spoon:Sorry.
David Spoon:And yes, it all does come down to greed, in case you're wondering.
David Spoon:It's just going through the realm of lies that's the problem.
David Spoon:So the reason that I'm bringing it up is because.
David Spoon:Is not to say don't be optimistic.
David Spoon:That's exactly opposite of what I'm thinking.
David Spoon:You should be completely optimistic.
David Spoon:But you should place our hope.
David Spoon:I should place my hope?
David Spoon:You should place your hope in the Lord, right?
David Spoon:Not anywhere else in the Lord.
David Spoon:Right.
David Spoon:And if we're really blessed, I'm just saying this, and you guys should know this is true.
David Spoon:If we're really blessed, we're going to hear and then gone and then we don't care.
David Spoon:That's what we really want.
David Spoon:Right?
David Spoon:But don't accommodate the world.
David Spoon:Even in your family.
David Spoon:Uh oh, I got family coming.
David Spoon:Hey, you know what?
David Spoon:I'm not going to not be the Christian.
David Spoon:Am I going to be a perfect person?
David Spoon:I've never been a perfect person.
David Spoon:I rely completely on the righteousness of Jesus Christ because without it, I don't have a.
David Spoon:Let me say it's really funny.
David Spoon:Without the righteousness of Jesus Christ, I don't have a prayer.
David Spoon:Get it?
David Spoon:That was kind of a.
David Spoon:Okay.
David Spoon:I don't have a prayer without the righteousness of Christ, but I'm not going to unbelieve.
David Spoon:So everybody can just be at peace.
David Spoon:That's not happening.
David Spoon:And if people don't like it, here's the answer.
David Spoon:Ready?
David Spoon:Tough.
David Spoon:That's the answer.
David Spoon:Now the rest of this, and I didn't get to talk about it, but I do want to make sure you understand this.
David Spoon:I didn't key in on this one part.
David Spoon:So Jesus tells the church and everybody else connected to it to repent or he's going to come against them with the sword in his mouth.
David Spoon:And this is most likely, let's just be honest, not literal in the sense that he's going to use his mouth to wield a sword back and forth.
David Spoon:Some people that really buy into that.
David Spoon:I don't think Jesus is in there spreading peanut butter on sandwiches with his tongue.
David Spoon:I just not Buying into that.
David Spoon:Okay.
David Spoon:I think he's making it pretty clear that this is the word of God.
David Spoon:And that word of God will be used to bring judgment and they're going to be found guilty.
David Spoon:So as he's closing in this text, he reiterates to the churches the same thing that he's reiterated to all the churches thus far.
David Spoon:And he says it to every church.
David Spoon:He says to use our ears to hear what the Holy Spirit says.
David Spoon:Many people don't understand the Romans 14, as many as are led by the Spirit of God.
David Spoon:They are the sons of God.
David Spoon:And what's important about that is if we are in fellowship with the Holy Spirit.
David Spoon:Second Corinthians 13, 14, which is where it says it, there's an evidence, a confidence, a proof that we're God's children.
David Spoon:In other words, not doing that takes away some of your security.
David Spoon:You're looking for security.
David Spoon:I got an idea for you.
David Spoon:Walk in the new man.
David Spoon:Be influenced by the Holy Spirit.
David Spoon:Call out in the name of Jesus.
David Spoon:You'll get it as well as it needs to be gotten.
David Spoon:But the last part is the part I want to key in on, and I just missed it.
David Spoon:And because we just ran out of time, I didn't get to really get into it.
David Spoon:And it's this.
David Spoon:It says this to him who overcomes, we will give some of the hidden manna to eat.
David Spoon:And I will give him a white stone.
David Spoon:And on that stone a new name will be written, which no one knows except him who receives it.
David Spoon:That is so awesome.
David Spoon:What is?
David Spoon:That everybody is saved through Jesus Christ.
David Spoon:Whether it's pre, BC or mid, or post.
David Spoon:The Scripture looks forward to the cross and then afterwards, after the cross.
David Spoon:That's how the Scripture forms it.
David Spoon:Everything focuses around Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John.
David Spoon:When we are connected to Jesus.
David Spoon:He knows everything about you, by the way.
David Spoon:He's praying for you.
David Spoon:He intercedes for you.
David Spoon:What's awesome about this passage is this in overcoming, he's promising giving you a new name which nobody will know except for you and of course, him who gave it to you.
David Spoon:That's the personalization.
David Spoon:It's not that you get to get away with sins that other people don't.
David Spoon:That is blasphemy.
David Spoon:Absolutely not true.
David Spoon:What is true is that God knows every little nuance about you, every quirk, how many quirks I have, oh, my goodness, every little thing, and wants you to know he loves you.
David Spoon:And you're thinking, wait, wait, there's a lot of me that's not brilliant.
David Spoon:Yeah, me too.
David Spoon:In Fact, all of us, in fact, every one of us.
David Spoon:Welcome to planet Earth.
David Spoon:Here's the bottom line.
David Spoon:God has a special connection to each one of us and a similar connection to each one of us.
David Spoon:He knows us as a corporate unit, and he knows us in our deepest element.
David Spoon:And he's telling you, hey, I'm going to tell you right now, we have an awesome relationship together.
David Spoon:Now I'm going to give you a stone, and on that stone is going to be your name that nobody will know except for you.
David Spoon:That's what we call special relationship privilege.
David Spoon:That's what we've got.
David Spoon:That's what we're going into.
David Spoon:You see, it's going to be corporate.
David Spoon:And how that's going to break down, nobody really knows.
David Spoon:I mean, you get to look at the Book of Revelation and go, wowzer, right?
David Spoon:But in the meantime, you can enjoy the reality that God knows you so deeply, that you share between you and him something special.
David Spoon:Isn't that awesome?
David Spoon:Oh, my goodness.
David Spoon:It's so fantastic.
David Spoon:And we were not even talking about the fact that we're going to get manna.
David Spoon:That's like, wow, we're getting manna.
David Spoon:Really?
David Spoon:I mean, does it come in a dozen?
David Spoon:Is it a baker's dozen?
David Spoon:I got to see this, right?
David Spoon:You want to know?
David Spoon:But that white stone with that new name, by the way, which will be printed in red, that's the indication of innocence.
David Spoon:And you get to have that because through Jesus Christ, he has made you innocent.
David Spoon:Go back to the very first verse I said in the beginning of this whole thing.
David Spoon:And I said this, the Lord is inclined, inclined to the prayers of the righteous.
David Spoon:Well, through Jesus Christ, you are righteous.
David Spoon:He has made you righteous.
David Spoon:And when you pray, God leans over to hear.
David Spoon:That's the picture he wants you to have.
David Spoon:Not that he's elusive, but that he's even paying more attention.
David Spoon:I mean, come on.
David Spoon:That is one way to open up a Thursday show, isn't it?
David Spoon:Okay, folks, we'll take our break and then come back.
David Spoon:You're listening to the David Spoon Experience right here on Kaam 770, the truth station here in Texas.
David Spoon:Short break.
David Spoon:We'll be back.
David Spoon:Don't go anywhere.
Unknown Speaker:Who is David Spoon?
Unknown Speaker:I have no idea.
Unknown Speaker:People have asked me about the David Spoon Experience.
Unknown Speaker:They wanted to know what I thought of them.
Unknown Speaker:Like any person searching for answers, I have wondered about him.
Unknown Speaker:He was born and raised Jewish, and after intense drug use, became a Christian.
Unknown Speaker:He's married to his best friend, Noel, has three children, six grandchildren and a dog named Bert.
Unknown Speaker:He has three separate ordinations from three different denominations and is a summa cum laude for his BA Degree in ministry and leadership as well as a master's degree of theological Studies and has his doctorate of Strategic Christian Ministry.
Unknown Speaker:He has a weird sense of humor and talks a lot.
Unknown Speaker:If people are seeking wisdom and insight from the great teachers around the world, would they go to David?
Unknown Speaker:No, I don't think so.
Unknown Speaker:And those big ears really don't help him.
Unknown Speaker:But would they enjoy his perspective on life, culture, politics, food, sports, local and national news?
Unknown Speaker:I don't know.
Unknown Speaker:I guess people will have to listen to find out.
David Spoon:Job, I want to read job 3:25.
David Spoon:I don't want anybody.
David Spoon:Look, I know that the teachings in the church and being a Baptist, somebody who's got a Baptist ordination, a Pentecostal ordination, somebody who understands what Kalmanian means, understands what the manifold millennial list is.
David Spoon:I get it.
David Spoon:I really do.
David Spoon:I been around for a little while.
David Spoon:When you're hearing scripture, you don't have to put all the scriptures you hear in certain boxes so they fit your motif of a theology.
David Spoon:Sometimes you can just look at it and observe it and go right for it and review it.
David Spoon:And Job, chapter 3, verse 25.
David Spoon:One of the things that Job said is what I feared has come upon me, what I dreaded has happened to me.
David Spoon:There's a whole teaching on.
David Spoon:That's because your confession wasn't good.
David Spoon:I don't think that had anything to do with it.
David Spoon:I think God was bragging about Job to Satan.
David Spoon:Job didn't know that was going on.
David Spoon:That's obvious.
David Spoon:But there he is.
David Spoon:God's bragging about him.
David Spoon:And what Job is like going is like, this is the worst thing that I could think of.
David Spoon:And that happens to people.
David Spoon:Believers, good believers, great believers, fantastic believers, lousy believers and everybody else.
David Spoon:It's something that takes place.
David Spoon:Sometimes bad things come about in the process.
David Spoon:That doesn't mean that God hates you.
David Spoon:That doesn't.
David Spoon:First of all, the world has rebelled against God and lies in wickedness.
David Spoon:So it's not God's fault that the world said, we'll run this planet without you.
David Spoon:We'll let you know.
David Spoon:I mean, that's not God's fault.
David Spoon:He's not the one that did that.
David Spoon:People did that.
David Spoon:And so the idea that understands this, sometimes these tough things happen.
David Spoon:The great thing to know is that God has not left and went to Pluto while you're going through these things.
David Spoon:In this particular case, in Job, it was completely the opposite of what Job thought, because God was bragging about him, and Job thought he was in some kind of trouble or some kind of judgment.
David Spoon:Hey, guess what?
David Spoon:Job was wrong.
David Spoon:Something else was going on altogether, which is often the case.
